Nokia N79 restarting problem

My N79 restart twice today, but only when I plug-in the headphones. Don't know why. Please help.

it is fixed in the latest firmware...but there is a new issue in the new firmware regarding sound level...the sound level has gone down and the nokia people said they are working on this issue...so lets just wait for a new firmware..
i personally love this fone (apart from the sound issue)..got it just about a week ago...

I DONT KNOW WHAT HAPPENED TO MY NOKIA N79, SOMETIME IT VIBRATES SOMETIMES NOT, THAT PROBLEM IS ONLY FOR INCOMING CALLS & MESSAGES, I HAVE CHECKED MY PROFILES, WHEN I CLICK ON VIBRATION "ON TO OFF" & AGAIN "OFF TO ON", IT VIBRATES FOR INCOMING CALL BUT ONLY ONCE, AND AGAIN IT DOESN'T VIBRATE TILL I CLICK ON VIBRATE "ON-OFF-ON OPTION", DOES ANYBODY HAVE SOLUTION???

Do you have a very hgh no. of messages stored in the phone ? If so delete as amany as possible and check..

NOKIA N73 Restart Problem

Hi,
I have nokia n73 music edition.
While attending the call, my cell restarts automatically.
So I have tried formatting the phone and memory card but still problem is there.
Could anyone please help me out?

Nokia 5800 Restart Problem with the Memory Card

hi,
i am facing a peculiar problem with my 5800.i hv firmware v21.
Whenever i restart the phone with the sd card inserted (it has around 35+apps/games loaded but 4.3GB of memory is free) ;the phone hangs up at the "nokia" screen & i hv to remove the battery.on ejecting the card & then restarting; the phone starts up fine.on inserting the card later after the restart; it is read without any problems by the phone & all the apps. work fine.i do not hv any apps loaded for start up.
i saw similar problems posted in some other topics for 5800;but could not get a clear idea whether this problem was occuring in other phones as well.Is it firmware related or due to large no. of apps on the phone?
please help.

it is most likely the corrupt memory card issue, it happens quiet often. that is why back up is so essential to have especially of memories and such. for that i use share online and upload my pics right away to ovi or vox whichever.
the programs you bought you should be just able to download once again and plug in the key you have gotten with your applicatioins. you should be able to recover all of your purchases. i am sorry for your pics for those can't be recovered
i always keep a separate email folder for all my application keys so i can find they easily as phones and memory does get corrupt. i can do it relatively quickly and have the info handy even on the go

Nokia 5610 restarting problem

I just bought my 5610 in June, so it's still pretty new now.
I haven't upgraded my firmware yet so it's still v4.84
But just recently, like 2 days ago, my phone keeps restarting. The screen turns white and restarts. Even when it's idle, it just restarts. When I play games, it just hangs, and restarts.
If this has been posted before I'm sorry but can anyone please help me?

Depends on how busy your service centre is. But 30 days is a bit too long.
Regarding on the problems on the phone, I think it may vary from region to region - some were having problems, some were not. But I believe the latest v8.30 fixes some of the major problems found on the recent firmware.

Nokia N900, restarting problem

im having a Nokia N900, my phone is getting stuck from the begining, after updating maemo 5 the phone could not restart and stuck in loading screen

it is fixed in the latest firmware...but there is a new issue in the new firmware regarding sound level...the sound level has gone down and the nokia people said they are working on this issue...so lets just wait for a new firmware..

Nokia N79 SIP Problem

I've just purchased my new N79 and configured the SIP setting using Tools > Settings >Connection > SIP settings.
everything went smoothly and my sip account is registered successfully. After this i tried to find out the Internet Tel option as nokia E65 has this option but it is not there in N79. I don't get the option intenet call when i select options>call.
Kindly anyone knows how to do internet call afer SIP settings are successful??

First you have to make your account on nokia forum.
Download version 3 software and install on your phone.
Then go to menu-tools-connectivity-net settings-advance VOIP setting and make a new profile using your SIP profile.
Then it will go to contact automaticaly or if now going go to cantact and you will find there Activate service.
After activating this service go to any contact and option-call-internet call

Nokia N79 Camra Problem

I have noticed that in my phone when take pictures from camera and the option record location is on than the application trying to connect with internet and i get charged from my operator every time when i taking new picture

Your phone may have the geotagging feature activated. If your A-GPS is on AFAIK geotagging would make use of it, explaining the network charges.

Nokia n79 navi-wheel problem.

my nokia n79's navi wheel isnot working. its on from setting, navi light is glowing around center button but navi wheel is not give any response. my software version is 32.001, its a t-mobile unlocked fone.

Here are a couple of things to try (in this order):
Turn off phone, remove battery for 5 seconds, replace, turn on phone.
Adjust naviwheel setting to OFF, leave Settings application (return to standby), then open up Settings once more on turn naviwheel back on.
The naviwheel, as you might know, does not work across all applications; nor does it work beyond a certain "depth" of menus. You should test it at the "root" (first) level of the Menu application. If it doesn't work there, perhaps you need to back up your settings and data and reinstall your phone software. But first: do you have any applications which allow for key shortcuts or special key mappings? There could be a conflict there.
Finally, there have been problems with an electrical component behind the naviwheel, but this is more commonly associated with a general keyboard lockup.
Good luck, and maybe someone else will have some additional suggestions...

N79 display problem

My new N79 is having some stange problem,the display light goes off in 5 seconds and the screen turns black in 10 seconds
I have tried to hard format it but it didnt solve my problem.
I have even change the settings from the display option in settings but nothing worked out.
Please help.

The problem with the LCD screen rotating sideways, displaying mirror-image text, and/or displaying random garbage, was happening on my phone, and I went ahead and disassembled the phone and was able to (temporarily) remedy the problem. It seems that the keypad assembly sits just slightly on top of the flex connector that the LCD screen uses to attach to the circuit board (the LCD flex connector travels underneath near the "C" and right option buttons). I was able to open up the phone and reposition this connection slightly (took a lot of tweaking and patience) to the point where I can now type on it again without the screen going crazy. I know it's not an ideal solution but it is at least a direction to investigate. Hope this helps!

Nokia E5 restart when log in Skype

Hello, I own a Nokia E5, purchased in November 2010. I've been using Skype since March 2011 and it worked fine but sometimes got stucked and my phone suddenly restarted.
Two days ago, Skype stopped working and Nokia is restarting every single time I try to log in in Skype,...what's happening? I need Skype and seems its my Nokia the one acting up.
What can I do about it? Please help.

I'm sorry that no one seems to know what you should do. If you are able to back up everything on your phone, you might consider then formatting it to factory state. Then you could install Skype first, and see whether it continues to fail. If it does, my guess would be that there might be an issue with the E5 Skype compatibility, since other E5 users are complaining of the same problem as you.

N79 hanging problem plz help....

Just open back cover & stick some paper or plastic cello tape on four hole marks of covers wich r sensor for automatic themes to change colour of back cover same as theme colour. From 2 days I feel my mobile working fine without hanging ! so try it, all the best.

N79 hanging problem

I purchased N79 1.5 years back. Now a day, it hangs so frequently. It is annoying me too much as most of the time while trying to call during phone book search it hangs. I tried the below solutions to make clear
I reset the phone to factory settings using *#7370#. Once it hanged and it was not rebooting at all as caution given while doing factory reset. Then second time it was fine. No improvement…
Phone reset + Removed all the content from Memory card (4Gb) and formatted from phone. Then copied, only picture, video, message folders… No improvement…

N73 restart problem

hi!!!guys
i've bought n73 & having restart problem...it restarts 2 to 3 times a day even if tis power saver mode...i've tried using the cell without memory card but still the problem is there...i've given the phone to "nokia care" thrice, but still they r not able to sort it out....plz help me to solve the problem.
