Nokia N8 Belle does not show caller name

I can't get my phone to show names for people that are calling, I know there are already loads of topics about this, but none of the suggestions could fix my problem.
Keyfacts:
- Nokia N8 with Chinese Firmware (Belle)
- All contacts are synchronized with GMail via Exchange ActiveSync (Mail for Exchange)
- All contacts are saved with proper international prefix (e.g. +44..., +36...)
- It displays the number when someone calls, so not a network issue
- Name resolving works for text messages (except once, but rebooting fixed it)
- It works for calls when someone from another country is calling
- There are duplicate numbers in my phone book, but it doesn't work with the non duplicate ones either
- There are no numbers on the SIM and phone memory only is selected
What I tried:
- Reboot
- Hard reset (the actual hard reset using the three buttons, not the code)
- Reflashing
It would be great if anyone has any ideas what to try next.

i have got the same problem on my Nokia n8 after upgrading it from authorised Nokia centre

If you are a Verizon user try this:
Open the phone and dial *228. This is a Verizon over-the-air programming number.
When the system answer press 1 for "Program or activate your phone"
Wait for the call to disconnect. You should get a prompt stating "Settings updated."
Double tap the Home button to bring up the recently used apps list at the bottom. Locate the Phone, Message, and Contacts apps, swiping if necessary, and press and hold until they jiggle then press the red minus sign to stop them.
Wait a 3-5 minutes.
Try your phone again and see if it's fixed.

I am also having problems with a site I am building. No matter what websafe font I use it displays as New Times Roman in FireFox. The correct fonts show in both IE9 and Chrome.
In addition, text shifts in FireFox. I have to position other text objects farther and farther apart as I go down the page or they start to overlap. Nav buttons and other images also have to be positioned in the wrong place for them to be in the correct place when the page is opened in FireFox. FireFox should display pages correctly by default. I can't expect th average user to have to tweek his/her settings to display my site.
I have been recommending FireFox on my website as the best browser. I might have to change that and abandon FireFox myself.

Not showing Caller Name on E51

I have upgrade software but after that my phone not showing caller name on the screen.Before upgrading my phone was shwoing caller name when I received call. my all phone numbers are on SIM , can some body let me know how this will work or its setting.

The problem may be, that you have all your contacts on the SIM card and on the phone as well. Is that possible?

I purchased a song thru I-tunes and I cannot get it to play. If I look at the info, it does not show who it was purchased by. All of my other songs do and they play fine.

The 'Purchased' music is just a special Playlist. You can create your own and drag the links into the 'Purchased' PL.
Using the command CMD-J you can add the Purchase date to your list view - sort by date - drag the tunes to the 'Purchased' PL.

SMS does not show contact name

Hi,
I have an iPhone 4. I recently switched to using exchange as my contact list so I can have all my contacts (business and private) at the same place.
My problem is that the contact names do not always show up on text messages. A few contacts work but there is no visible difference in the ones that work and those that don't. Also I have added the country code to the phone number and that does not solve the problem either. I have tried deleting the contacts and recreating them. I have tried to delete all the history of a given number and start the sms conversation again picking the name from the adress book - right after the message was sent it switched the name to the number.
Also I have tried restarting the phone and resynced it to iTunes.
Can anyone help me? This is really not possible to live with.

Nokia Multimedia Player does not show video in 3gp...

PC Suite 6.85.14.1 - latest Windows Vista When trying to play 3gp files recorded by Nokia N70, Nokia Multimedia Player only shows green video screen with moving vertical stripes, but not actual video image. Sound is played normally. I tried alternative player (VideoLAN VLC) and latter displays video without problems (unfortunately this player does not support 3gp sound so I would appreciate either correction of this problem or indication of good player supporting 3gp).

My Nokia Lumia 710 does not show the balance after...

I like the Lumia range and am beginning to prefer WP7.x to Android but there is this irritating thing that whenever I make a call, I do not get my remaining balance which I used to get with all my previous phones, inlcuding the Nokia N900
All I wanna know is that am I the only one who is facing this problem or is this an issue with the OS.
I've contacted the Nokia Service Center and the guy there told me that WP7.5 does not support this feature and after browsing through the net, I am still unable to decipher if this is a problem with my device or are others facing the same issue as well.
This is my first post, please let me know if I did anything wrong.

Correct. WP7 does not support this and if your mobile carrier does not offer an app for it, you need to visit their homepage for information on your remaining balance, etc.
Windows Phone 8 will have this built into the operating system. Sadly though, existing phones can't upgrade to WP8. So bug your carrier if they do not offer an app for this yet.

UCCX 8.5.1 - Cisco Supervisor Desktop not showing Caller Names

I have recently done a deployement for UCCX 8.5.1. I have been made aware of an issue where iif a Cisco Supervisor Desktop is looking at a Agent that is on a call, the Callers name is not bening shown in the Caler Name field, instead the callers extension is being displayed. Has anyone else experienced this or is this one for TAC?
Here is an example of what I mean.
This is the view on the UCCX Supervisor screen when an agent is taking a service desk call. How can we configure it to display the name alongside the number? I know that 1380 is Paul A Smith, and 1552 is Nicola Turvill?

I have downloaded from a PC to an external drive my windows mail files (sent, inbox, etc). I can view the files on the PC by changing headers to add senders name, etc.
However, when viewing on my MacBook Pro, I can see all the files but the they are labled with a mixed alpha/numberic file name and not the sender, etc. Can the sender and/or sent to names can be added as searchable fields ?

Enterprise manager still requires a static service definition in listener.ora and does not rely on dynamic registration.

Try a reset ..
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings
No data is lost due to a reset.

Nokia N8 Calendar Does not Show the Dates????

Hi,
I am noticing this issue from the past couple of weeks and probably after the last update.
When I open the calendar Icon, the dates do not load on the phone. It just doesnt show any dates?
Also if a reminder is past, it shows a past reminder and the reminder also doesnt open up.
Whenever I do the hard re-boot i.e keep the power button pressed till it vibrates three times and shuts and re-starts, then initially the calendar shows the dates, but again after sometime if I have to open the calendar, it doesnt show the dates at all, and goes back to the same issue.
Please advise a good solutiong to this problem as a hard re-boot or a re-start or even re-setting the factory settings did not work
