i use APP STOP application to quickly close all open backround apps.After latest map update in anna,i found maps are always open in backround when open APP STOP to close backround.
Previously only menu was found open.I think its draining battery alot.
APP STOP is free app on ovi,u can try that.
Can someone help??

It not the service pack mate, it the new Map 3.08 that comes with the OTA update. Or even worse, apparently 3.08 is embedded with the V25 firemware for N8.

Maps draining battery after closed
Hello,
I'm not too sure it's a z3 compact issue or a Google maps issue, but here's the problem:
After using Google maps with location on, the app keeps draining a massive amount of the battery, even after turning off the location and closing the app. I've noticed when I go to settings-power management-battery usage-maps that the GPS time keeps running despite both location and app being closed. Location history and reporting are off under location settings.
Only way out I've found so far is restarting the phone, which is not ideal.
Anybody with same issue? Any fix?

You could try uninstalling the latest update to the Maps application and then simply reinstalling, it could be due to bad install.
Menu > Settings > Apps > Downloaded > Maps > Uninstall Update

Lit up screen draining battery after flash message
I am using 3GS model. After my last upgrade to 4.3.3 after recieving flash messages my phone's screen lights up again after few seconds, and remains like that. It responds only after pressing home button after that. so if it is at night (during sleep), it remains on throughout the night & it drains my battery. please tell the solution to correct this error.
Nothing obvious here, but better get rid of that remnant of CleanMyMac2. Also check if all software with kernel extensions, launch agents and launch daemons is still necessary and up to date (if not uninstall or update).

Macbook Pro heating up and draining battery after yosemite upgrade.
On Friday, I upgraded to Yosemite and I really like it. However my computer keeps heating up very quickly when doing simple tasks and the battery also drains. About 1% every 2 minutes when on Safari and having Pages open in the background. What can I do to slow down the battery drain. Before, on Mavericks I could get a whole day on Safari but now about half a day.

Maverick draining battery after upgrade MBP 2009
I upgraded my MBP 2009 2.8 GHZ intel core 2 duo to Maverick, before upgrading the battery life was around 5-6 hours now the battery
level drops quickly and I only get around 2 hours battery life.
I have reset the SMC as per this web site and performed a permissions fix and verify disk (no issues) and have waited a week now for spotlight to do its thing
but still the same issue.
I have notice that the bottom on the notebook gets hot as if running an intensive app but no apps are using significant power.
It is as if I have switch the graphics to high performance but the energy saver setting say better battery life.
This issue may have started after I switched the graphics to high performance and after setting this back to better battery life I noticed that after logging out
this setting reverted to graphics high performance.

I have been use allways nokia cell phones since 15 years. I bought C6-01 last one and I was thinking nokia is best untill my phone was broken . nokia after selling services are terrible. I will never buy nokia again.

IPhone 4 battery still draining fast after ios 5.0.1 update
5.0.1 update did not help, my battery still drains just as fast as it did on 5.0. My phone used to last 2 days no problem, now it lasts about 6 hours, I could go to bed at 5% and wake up with 3%, now if I got to bed with 25% it's dead by morning. I have all iCloud services turned off, only Maps turned on for location services, notifications for Phone, Messages, Reminders, Calendar, CNBC RT and Words Free. I have 2 email accounts, one is a pop3 and the other Exchange, both are set to pull every hour and preview is turned off. Is the issue with notifications? the only thing that has changed from 4 to 5 is I have notifications turned on and my reminders & tasks are synced with Exchange. I'm starting to think the issue is with notifications, I tried to turn off email notifications for the lock screen but they still show up.
Are we getting another update after 5.0.1 soon for the continued battery drain issue?

Settings -> General -> Backroung App refresh
Either selectively disable the ones you do not need, or just disable the feature altogether. Esepcially for apps that would be using location services, this has the potential to be a huge battery drain.
Also, in Privacy under Locations services, system services, disable at least the "popular near me" and "location based iAds" - both of these use location services a lot as they try to track your movements in real time. You can disable everything in system services if you wish (won't harm anything). -

I tried restarting the SMC of my laptop and it didnt work. prior to updating to Mountain Lion, my battery life was still okay. but after updating, it drains fast and it says that I need to have my battery replaced. Today it happened to me too. Service battery notice. Current charge 0% (*huh*, how can it still be running...)
This is already my third battery in my early 2008 MacBook Pro. I have the feeling that:
1. OS X upgrades kill my batteries: I had to replace the battery after upgrading from 10.5 to 10.6 and now from
10.7 to 10.8.
2. The MacBook Pro early 2008 is a very bad series:
- Display "clamshell" has been replaced due to broken LED issue (only half the LED's lighting up after sleep)
- Logic board had been replaced (bad NVIDIA GPU)
-- Both these issues have been solved under Applecare, luckily.
- Battery has been replaced 3 (THREE!) times in 3 years. The average lifespan of a battery is slightly less
than ONE year.
For me - personaly - these issues are really the limit. After being a loyal Apple user for more than 6 years I feel quite disappointed.
I will contact a European Apple "Premium" Reseller this week to see what they are prepared to do.
Since I live in the South of the Netherlands I would have to travel about 180 km to the nearest real Apple Store (Amsterdam). The warranty has long expired, so perhaps now is the time to stop wasting money on repairs and buy a cheap € 400 laptop on linux instead of another € 139 battery...
I really, really hope that the Service Battery issue is a (bad) joke and an update of OS X will solve the issue. -

Thank you!!!!!In all likelihood, you've been bit by a known ML problem. You can read more in this 195 page thread. Bottom line is that with so few cycles, you should take it to an Apple store and have it looked at - and possibly have the battery replaced. Some people have had their logic boards or entire machines replaced. But there doesn't seem to be a consisent theme that anyone can point to as being the cause. In my case, I elected to return to Lion until I have more trust that Apple has solved this problem (which, BTW, not everyone encounters)

Charging: YesWhen you get the service battery message the battery needs to be replaced - it is like the service engine warning lamp on a car or the robot waving its arms and yelling "Danger Will Robinson."
If you have Apple's 3 year AppleCare you may be able to get the battery replaced under warranty - Apple says the battery should retain 80% of its charge after 1000 cycles and you didn't even get 1000 cycles out of it. Even if it isn't still under warranty you can at least ask for free replacement or a price break since it failed before reaching 1000 cycles. I know people who have been successful with such an appeal. -

After Updating the iOS 7.04 on my iPhone 4S drain battery quickly even on standby mode & also doesn't respond volume up button, why?
My battery problem woes continues to persist. Yesterday, I had about 85-90% battery life in the morning. A couple hours later when I looked at the phone it was down to 65%. At that point, I shut off wi-fi, bluetooth, and background app refresh. I received one call shortly after that. The call lasted about two minutes. My battery was now down to 40%. Another hour later, down to 16%! Here's the kicker: I plugged in the phone to a charger and it jumped to 65% in a matter of minutes. I unplugged the phone and within a couple of hours it was back down to around 30%. I plugged it in again and within 10 minutes it was up to 75%.
At first glance it looks very much like a hardware issue. However, I never had this problem until I upgraded to 7.0.4. Also, the above battery roller coaster ride isn't a constant. That is, it seems that only sometimes this happens. So...I'm thinking it's either an app running in the background eating up juice (though I have Background App Referesh turned off) or the iOS is buggy.
