Nokia N8 MMS Small

hey!
whenever I get an mms, I get the images quite small, about 10 kb. I send to myself, large images, up to 300 kb, but I always get the small images. my operator is TMN, Portugal, I've got their settings, but not change, it makes no difference. in phone settings, is to send large images. I do not know what to do to get the larger images.

if you have checked the multimedia settings and its set to large, its your operator who is at fault.
Just check settings To configure MMS settings, select Menu > Messaging > Options > Settings > Multimedia message go to image size.
If  i have helped at all a click on the white star below would be nice thanks.
Now using the Lumia 1520

  • Nokia E7 - MMS Picture Issue

I have had my Nokia E7 (US Version) for about 24 hours now & still cannot figure out if I'm doing something wrong with the MMS. I can attach & send images without a problem to the recipient, but not the other way around.
I have received a few picture messages from different people on different networks, and everytime I click to view the picture, the picture shows up very small in the center of the screen. I can drag the zoom bar to zoom in, but that doesn't help very much, and makes the picture VERY pixelated.
I have tried saving the picture to the photo gallery & opening from there, but it still does not make it any bigger. Any thoughts?

it has something to do with compatibility of some of the phones with TMobile network. have exactly the same problem with E7 and Dell Streak with TMo. When I use ATT sim everything runs fine.
can't help with solution, but at least you are not alone with this problem

  • Nokia E65 - MMS/Internet Problems

    Hey all.
Just having a few problems with my Nokia, recently I have gone with Vodafone from Optus, and having a few troubles sending MMS's and getting on the net. I checked the sticky and searched on google, tried to download the settings etc, but when I go into settings wizard it says "No Operator Data Available" so I cannot go further, not sure what to do.
If it helps as well, when I try send an MMS it says "Unable to send message" - Details - "Packet data: Invalid packet data access point"
Tried to go on access points but have no clue what I am doing so don't wanna mess anything up...any clues what I can do?
    Thanks in advance
    BlocParty.

    Hi Bloc
Most service providers send you the MMS/GPRS/3g access point settings on activation.
So i'd recommend you call up yr Vodafone care and check if the service is active.. and ask them how to get the settings sent to you by sms. (once active.. they gen send it to you everytime u put yr sim in a new handset)
Since these are country-service provider specific i cant help you out unless yr from an ISP i am familiar with.

  • Nokia 6650 MMS problems

Hi I have just purchased a 6650 FOLD and I am wanting to use it my O2 postpay sim. I have changed the settings for internet usage and I can can get access. However I can not manage to set up the MMS to work.
I have tried settings from the internet but it only gives me the option of using the packet data as by data bearer. But I understand that MMS only works over GPRS ?
I have tried setting up a GPRS as a data bearer but to no avail.
I have tried getting the settings via O2 and they wont send them as its no supported by O2 (t-mobile only). Also tried the Nokia site to send the settings, but just get a message "trusted server setting received but not saved. Message could not be authenticated and was deleted." This was also the case for another site that sends settings for the 6650 fold.
Anyone any ideas to either the settings for mms for this phone or how to stop the message being deleted (O2 say this probably a setting in the phone)..

Thanks for the pointer, yes its surely something to do with the t-mobile firmware. Anyhow I did as you said and asked O2 to send me the settings for the 6220 classic, but no message ever came through. I eventually got them via email and they worked so THANKS FOR YOUR HELP!

  • Nokia 301 MMS retrieval error

I'm having trouble receiving MMS messages on my Nokia 301; it seems that when people try to send pictures, the error message comes back "message too large." I assume that thiscould be corrected by "auto-adjusting" the pics as they come in, but I'm having trouble finding the option for it in the phone (does it exist?).  Searching online has implied it would be a service issue with ATT's limits, but I can receive pictures of the same size just fine on other phones, so there must be a setting on the 301 I have to change.  Please help!

The senders are using smartphones, particularly the iPhone 5 and the Nexus 5.  I understand that the phone itself may ot be physically capable of handling the large file size, but I know other basic phones are capable of "resizing" the image to allow the less capable device of handling the picture.  I was curious if the 301 has this capability somewhere, as I'm been unable to find it.

  • Nokia 7020 MMS Configuration

Does anyone know the MMS configuration for Nokia 7020 on the ATT system?  I cannot picture text at the moment.

Hi. I bought an unlocked Nokia 7020 and I'm on t-mobile and figured out how to do this. There was no clear instructions anywhere that I can find, so here's exactly what I did. Hopefully this will help someone else.
    1. I found this on the T-Mobile web site with the access points I needed.
    https://support.my.t-mobile.com/doc/tm21387.xml?docid=212&navtypeid=6&pagetypeid=7&prevPageIndex=10&...
If you're on some other carrier, try looking on their website. I just guessed customer service probably wouldn't want to help me since I didn't get the phone through them and I hate calling help lines in general because they usually don't know anything and put you on hold. Anyway, that's just me.
    2. On the phone, I went to MENU - SETTINGS - CONFIGURATION - PERSONAL SETTINGS - ADD NEW - MULTIMEDIA MSG.
    3. Where it says Server Address, I entered the "Messaging Server", http://mms.msg.eng.t-mobile.com/mms/wapenc
    4. I changed "Used pref. access pt." to "no".
    5. Then I went into "Access Point" - "Bearer Settings" and where it says "Packet data acc. pt. I entered the "WAP GW IP Address" number, 216.155.165.050
I didn't enter a "APN Name" anywhere or set any "Data Mode" to "Connection Oriented" and I am now able to send picture messages.
    I hope this helps someone.

  • Nokia 2220, mms settings

    Hi,
Probably a stupid question but I don't manage to find an accurate answer in the FAQs
How to enter MMS settings on nokia 2220?
    Regards,
    surasuri

Its not necessary to enter them manually, instead contact your operator and ask them to send you MMS settings, once received configuration SMS, open it, go to Options>save>it'll ask if to set them as defaults>select "Yes" and thats it. now try to send MMS.
    Good Luck.

  • Nokia 5800 showing small coverart.

I have searched this forum and others but all I can find are threads concerning difficulties displaying coverart on the phone. My problem is not showing the artwork but that the artwork shown is very small.
I have updated SW to v21 as this should have solved the issue but it has not. I use Itunes to organize my music and Salling Media Sync to transfer the music and the coverart to the phone.
Am I missing a setting or am I simply using wrong images? I usually search for the picture on the net and manually ad it to Itunes. The pictures are approx 20Kb and 300x300 and always Jpeg.

I would think this may due to 5800 compatible issue with image from itune the images may bee resize during the process.
To confirm this, you can manually update the album art in Nokia 5800.
    1) copy your album image (300x300) into nokia 5800 memory card (ie E:\images) directory.
    2) Go to the music player > Albums > "select your album".
    3) Then, use the "Option" > Album art (should see your album image).
    4) Select the "Option" >  Change > (look for the album art image you have save earlier on 1) and replace it).
    Good luck

  • Fixing nokia 6233 MMS Problem

    I. I've just had a problem sending MMS with the Nokia 6233. When you tried to send a MMS the phone just turned white and them went to the first Menu. It seems that when you trie to send a MMS and you have delivery reports turned on (of the MMS) it blanks. Choose not to want delivery reports on the MMS and it will work. If you already changed it (and you can't send MMS) you have to reset the phone fisrt. Then do the changes you want but don't choose the reports active. If you've never changed the settings don't change it.
    Regars, Manel
PS. Sorry for my english. Anything i can help just say it

If you contact your service provider they will ask you to SMS to a particular number for GPRS settings over the AIR. You receive the settings, save and you can access GPRS.
If my post has helped you please click the white star on the right

  • Nokia N96 MMS Settings Help

Hi, My friend sent me a mms message but i cannot recieve it, says i need to define an access point first.
Could someone help me through the settings cos i cant find much, found the option to add access point for mms, but all that came up was a wireless connection, or an option for packet data.
Im on 3 if that helps
    Cheers
    Ross
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

'3' but where in the world ('3', Hutchison 3G, has/operates networks in many countries, and the settings would be different for each country).
In any case, you can probably have the appropriate MMS settings sent to you as an SMS from '3' if you call their customer service. You may be able to order the settings from their web site, too.
Or you can go through http://www.nokia.com/support as Nokia has at least in the past had a web page where you can order the settings to be sent for several phone models/operators.
And if you have a phone with the "Settings Wizard" application on the phone, you can try running it to get the settings that way, too.

  • Nokia Lumia MMS Settings

Hello, I hope someone can help.....
I have read a few posts on this question but non of them have helped me.
I have a Lumia 800 locked to O2 and I'm using a giffgaff sim. I can not find a way to enter the settings to set up my MMS. I have all the data I need, just nowhere to enter it. I have seen mentioned a few times an App 'Network Settings' but it does not appear in my 'Marketplace' to download.
It seems without this app I can't set up my settings, but I can't get it. Will something be preventing me from getting this app, ie. something to do with it being an O2 phone? I have tried a few workarounds like using a link to the original file and sending it as an email but my phone rejects both files.
    Please help....

  • Nokia lumia so small

Got to try and see a Lumia for the first time yesterday as this may be my next phone.I was impressed how slick it was seemed really easy to navigate round all the features.
Now the bad I was shocked how small the screen seemed compared to some of the rivals out there .I,m not a fan of the tiles plus the fact you canot customize the phone to your personal tastes

    First: Screen size.
I have played with so many phones this year. If its pure size you are after, its not going to come close to the SG2 or HTC sensation.
The SG2 i have found really uncomfortable to use with only one hand, its just a little too big for my thumb to reach from top to bottom and found myself shuffling the phone around in my hand. Ofcourse if you have bigger hands this might not be an issue.
The sensation felt better but still a little too chunky.
Something like this is going to come down to personal choice, but to me the lumia feels almost perfectly sized. Using the web on it is nice and clear and the WP7 layout fits into the screen well too.
    Second: Tiles and WP7
I did not like WP7 when i first seen it, it seemed boring, plain and the fact you cant personalise it was a drawback. However..
And this is a big HOWEVER, once you start using the phone and get you contacts, social networking, emails, xbox account and picturs in the phone, the whols system comes to life.
The handset feels completely linked in and the live tiles work a treat.
OK the Market needs a bit of work, but the whole operating system feels intuative, smooth and very well defined.
It will never be to everyones taste, but i would strongly suggest to anyone they look at a fully setup phone before making a decision.

  • Nokia N8 - MMS deferred every time

    Hi,
I've had my N8 for just over a month and have recently discovered a problem. Each time I try to send an MMS, it comes up as deferred. Once deferred also, it is not possible to delete it from the Outbox. The only way to delete the deferred MMS is to delete the entire conversation which is a pain.
Does anyone else encounter this problem and is there a solution?

Settings -> Connectivity -> Settings -> Destinations -> Access point -> No to auto check for available access points -> Packet data -> enter name of your new APN ie. MMS 2 -> Internet -> click on newly made access point -> change name to mms.windmobile.ca and homepage to http://mms.windmobile.ca -> next click Options -> Advanced settings -> Proxy server address 74.115.197.70 -> Proxy port number 8080
THIS SETTINGS ARE FOR WINDMOBILE USERS ONLY ! BUT IF YOU GET THESE SETTINGS FROM YOUR COMPANY YOU WILL BE ABLE TO CHOOSE BETWEEN (NONE,MMS,MMS 2)
HOPE THIS WORKS FOR YOU IT WORKED FOR ME .
