Nokia N80 support for MSI Blueplayer

Hi,
I have a Nokia N80, and a pair of i-tech bluetooth stereo headphones.
I have been waiting in hope for about 6 months now that MSI would support the N80 in Blueplayer. on the 17th of June a SDK 3.0 version came out which actually runs on the N80, but sadly it cant play to the headphones - it says "MP3 playback is not supported".
Does anyone know when the N80 will finally be supported in blueplayer?
Thanks,
Robert

  • Help! Support for MSI-K8NGM-V board

I have this mobo for two months now.. and im regretting it...
The reason i choose this mobo is because of the chipset: nvidia 6100
The reason why I'm frustrated about this mobo is that I can't overclock it...
    Is there a way?
Can I do it by flashing the BIOS?
There seems to be less support from MSI for this mobo.
Also, i have a 2xDDR400 modules but when i used Aida32 it is showing that it is DDR333...
    Any insight would help.. TY

-V series boards are 'Value' boards, and not really aimed at overclockers; there certainly won't be any overclocking features in BIOS, though you may be able to use software tools to acheive this.

  • Nokia Suite Support for Nokia 301

    Hello
Does anyone know what the official Nokia position is regarding Nokia Suite supporting the Noklia 301?  I'd like to be able to sync music, install any future firmware upgrades etc etc without needing to use a mobile data connection.  If Nolkia aren;t going to upgrade Nokia Suite to support the 301 is there going to be an alternative?

To all members of this board that purchased Nokia 301 Dual SIM here's what you should know.
     1. Nokia Suite http://www.nokia.com/nokiasuite  is practically useless
You cannot backup your messages and contacts . (see attached screenshot stuck at 50%)
You cannot sync your calendar and contacts to OUTLOOK
You cannot choose what SIM you'll send after you compose SMS at Nokia Suite
You cannot backup your ALL your contacts. There is a feature that you can export to CSV but it's not complete. The numbers that are saved in your phone will not be exported via CSV.
Buttomline. Just use the backup feature of your phone. And save it on your SD card. I'm now looking a buyer of this phone. Perhaps I'll just buy a cheap android phone that I can sync calendars and contacts.

any body here who knows that will nokia 5800 support 32 gb microsdhc class 4 or not

  • Why have Nokia dropped support for the 808?

It never gets anything, still waiting for NFC payment, Wifi is still borked with no 5ghrz support even tho it was advertised, still waiting for browser updates to make it useful, gets nothing they're putting into their Lumia series.
Why release a phone to just ditch it?
Edit: Oh yeah and the camera is still **bleep** for night time shots, the right hand side of the picture always has this lighter area ruining it.
Not my pictures but mine does the same thing...

Are you crazy? The 808's pictures are better. Sharper no overzealus coloursmearing, no weird edge-sharpening.
In fact the only positive about the 920 is its low-light "enlightenment" . But this unfortunately gives rather unatural looking photo's.
The pictures that you linked to were shot in pitch black outside and Steve clearly pointed out that the scenes depicted were deliberately choosen to asure the 920 would be better. They were to demonstrate the difference of the low-light enhancing technology o/t 920. There's no reason to show them here to demonstrate a malfunctioning camera-module. In fact I can show you pictures that show the superiority o/t 808 (even from that same site).
    e.g.
    Lumia 920  http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/images/bigshoot/920church.jpg
    808PV   http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/images/bigshoot/808church.jpg
    Lumia 920 http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/images/bigshoot/920tesco.jpg
    808PV http://www.allaboutsymbian.com/features/images/bigshoot/808tesco.jpg
On these 2 examples you clearly see that the 808PV is better then the 920 (and the last scene should have been the 920's territory and yet it fails miserable)
Also the worse experience with software upgrades also happens on Lumia users. Some have the feeling that their camera's perform worse after their latest upgrade. It seems Nokia still FU this process just as any other manufacturer does.
Or do you really think that Xperia users (or Galaxy users or HTC users) have different experiences? the Apple fora are filled with people unhappy about the things that got broken after their last update.
I am glad that Nokia still delivers (minor) updates. I too would like to see Nokia give power users more options instead of removing them. Just like the awfull light grey theme. They should have included BOTH dark and light themes to give us CHOICE! The only thing we can do is ASK Nokia to release the dark theme as a seperate product/download. Or make a suitable theme ourselves. ;-)
the same with all the other options. In fact IMHO Wifi is NOT BORKED, I've never seen them advertize 5Ghz band and as for the browser, it IS very usefull. It's the only one with (limited) Flash support build in (Android has removed Flash support in later builds so who are you to complain) and is quite fast (just disable javascript to make it as fast as the Iphone 4S). That website creators can't build proper websites anymore without stupid javascript is not Nokia's fault, complain to the site-maintainers.
And as for Nokia's Lumia range of devices... they still can't do halve of what a N8 can do, even WITH a "borked" Belle Refresh...

  • Nokia 6275 support for confrence call.

    Hi ,
I have Nokia 6275(CDMA) handset with me. I would like to know , does it support 3 way call confrencing.
If not then can I do any firmware/software upgradtion for that. I am asking this becoz , CDMA 6275i does support as I have checked phone specification, so I feel firmware/software upgradation may help me .
Any suggestion or help most welcome.
    regards,
    mani

    - Can I search the Contacts by number as well as by name?
    No, only by name.
    - From the phonebook (Contacts list) -
    - can I make a call (I hope so)
Definitely. I mean that's what a phone and contact list is meant for!!!
    - can I send sms
    Of course.
    - From the call register -
    - can I navigate to the phonebook entry of the caller (to maybe select another number of the caller to call him back on)
    NO
    - can I send sms to the caller
    YES
    - From the sms register -
    - can I call back the sms sender on the same number
    YES. Steps: Inbox>Open Message>Options>Use Detail>Number>Options>Call
    - can I navigate to the phone book entry of the caller (to maybe call him back on another of his numbers)
Perhaps not, however the second last menu Options mentioned above gives you option to save the number. If you select that, it would ask you to confirm the same if the number is already in the phone book.
    - sms to multiple recipients, simultaneously: how many at a time?
    10
    - Group sms: how many groups can I define? And containing how many max numbers?
16 Groups with 10 contacts each.
    - Does the phone keep giving a continual periodic tone at intervals to draw attention to sms received and waiting to be read? Or does it tinkle just once upon receiving a new sms?
    The latter is true.
    - Can I download reminders/birthdays/etc. onto computer?
    Full integration via PCSuite.
    - Can I download sms onto computer?
    Never tried.

  • Support For MSI-9130 "K8T Master Series"

When are MSI going to pull there finger out and release a new bios,
Last BIOS out was a Beta release. 2004/06/01. version 1.35
Come on MSI get your act into gear.

Quote from: Bas on 17-May-05, 22:03:37
Do not try one of the 1.4x BIOS'ses!!!!
They will render the board dead....I have tested several of those...
Also, don't forget these are server/workstation boards, they don't get new BIOS'ses that often.
Why do you want a new BIOS anyway?????
I'm still running 1.10 and 1.20 here, they work just fine.
Bas -- thanks for the clarifying information.  That must be why the system will not post at all, anymore.  I guess my next step is to try to convince MSI to send me a ROM flashed with the 1.3 or earlier version of the BIOS -- which could be interesting since they are the ones who emailed me the 1.45 BIOS that killed the system.....

    hi
i want to play movies on my nokia 5800. but it doesnt support avi or mpeg formats. i updated my phone yesterday to version 30.0.011.i wanna know what formats does nokia 5800 supports for videos and movies
my nokia 5800 does not play .rm audio files although it had a built in real media player.......
sometimes it happens tht when i copy more songs.... it copies them in the memory card(e.g) in file manager but does not show all songs in the song list... y is tht

Are you talking about purchasing full-length movies for download?  Here's one site: Amazon.com - you have to download their PC software downloader/player first, and then transfer movies to your 5800.  To get started, go to their download page for Video on demand.
Buy or find free movies, download using the Unbox Video Player, and then transfer to your 5800 XpressMusic.  For help on transferring videos, go here.
BTW, this information is from the promotion that I received when I purchased my 5800 earlier this year - there was an offer for US$50  in free movie downloads with purchase.

  • Beware!! Nokia technical support in Singapore can ...

I just purchased my unlocked Nokia E71 3 weeks ago ($300. plus) and have gotten horrible service with all 3 levels of Nokia technical support in Singapore. They were completely inept of assisting syncing Nokia e71 with Mac, though Nokia's website claims that this is possible with their necessary 'plugins' downloaded off their website.
My experience was that a Level 3 tech support in Singapore told me to trash my 'isync application'.. when he really meant to say to 'trash the Nokia isync plugin' and download/reinstall. Well... after trashing my isync application as I was told, I no longer had it on my Mac and without it there would be no syncing of ANYTHING, even with Nokia's plugin download. I even verbally second guessed the guy on this but he assured me that thrashing the 'application' was the only way to get the syncing to work.
Now the only way to get my isync back is to uninstall/reinstall all my software and reboot all Apple utilities.. like when i first purchased my computer. At this time this is not an option for me until i go to my other residence in England where i have my software, i'm in the USA now. I tried to restore my isync from my time machine, but now I believe it is corrupted as I cannot synchronize contacts or calendars with this restored isync application. I'm assuming i have to sit tight until i get back to England to do a proper reinstall.
While I was trying to figure out this whole mess I would call Nokia tech support for advise and they would say it was Apple problem and when I called Apple Care they would say it was Nokia's fault. Actually just yesterday a Nokia Level 3 tech support named Chris in Singapore asked me AGAIN to trash my isync application, because he said it was too new of a version and i needed to download an older version from Nokia's website, knowingly.. i knew he meant the Nokia isync plugin and not the isync app!! What is wrong with these people- where are they being trained!
I just hope when i get to England and uninstall/reinstall all my Mac's hardware, I can isync my E71. It seems ridiculous to have such an expensive phone if I can't to this and also the implication would mean Nokia is fraudulently advertising their mobiles to Mac users.
On another note Apple needs to get together for us international dwellers.. to be able to purchase authorized unlocked iphones.
So BEWARE of Nokia technical support if you are a Mac user.
    Best luck.

synth_fg:  come again??  I'm confused on what u r asking??  Do u have any clue or idea of how I can get my isync restored without doing the Utilities Disk uninstall/reinstall, if so i'd like 2 know?
I've got isync 'restored' on my Mac right now from Time Machine but it appears it got corrupted...i can't make it work and i get this message (below) as if it is not completely 'restored' completely.  Apple Care said that corruption must've happen when i trashed it... which was the request of the Nokia tech support...
    Thursday, August 6, 2009 8:50 AM
Synchronization of the following data is disabled on your phone: Contacts. Please enable them on your phone, or disable them in iSync.
     Device synchronization failed.
What I figure is I need to restore the Utilities disk when i get back to London.  Hopefully then my isync software application will work/sync with my new E71.  If not then i'll know it's a problem with the mobile.

  • No A2DP support for Nokia N80!

I just wonder why Nokia can't add support for A2DP in the new firmware for Nokia N80ie cellphone. =(
I just uppdatet my phone in hope of getting somewhere, but it was pointless.
It would be pretty nice if i could use my N80 as a real media centre with my Jabra BT 620s bluetooth headset but no way.
I am just intrested why not, i have read som discussions in this forum and other N phones did get their uppdates with A2DP support . Or am i wrong. Am i doing somethig wrong and cant get this to work?

A2DP and AVRCP does not require additional hardware for bluetooth 1.2 and above. It is based purely on software simulation.
Nokia can support A2DP in nokia n80. but battery could be an issue. Initial prototype of N80 had bluetooth 2 but then it was downgraded to 1.2 !!!

  • Flash lite 2.x support for nokia n80?

I downloaded and installed the Flash Lite 2.1 standalone
player for the Nokia N80 from this page:
    https://www.adobe.com/cfusion/entitlement/index.cfm?e=flashlite2%5F1%5Fsymbian%5Fdownload
I am able to run Flash Lite 1.1 SWFs fine but get
"installation not supported" for 2.x SIS files and "unable to open.
file corrupted" messages for 2.x SWFs. These files run fine on my
    Nokia 6682 handset.
Is 2.0 or 2.1 supported for the N80? I noticed that it
doesn't appear to be through the Adobe Device Central CS3 but the
Flash Lite Player download page implies that it is.
    Thanks.

Just tried installing Flash Lite 2.1 Standalone Player S60
V2.0 FP2 and S60 V2.0 FP3 and was not allowed to install either on
the handset so I think the one I downloaded and installed is
correct. Flash Lite Player 2 is not installed on this phone.
Any other possible reason why the Flash Lite apps won't run?
Does the phone need a firmware or other update? Also, I am by
sending the SWFs via bluetooth as SMS messages--that shouldn't
matter, should it? Or do I need to go the long route by
    transferring it via usb?

  • Games for nokia N80

I am a big fan of mobile games and have recently purchased the Nokia N80, previously having Nokia 6280. Although when i tried to download my favorite gam from planet 3 i am unable to do so. Does the Nokia N80 not support games as the Nokia 6280 did?

    Hey,
    Unfortunately..it doesnt.
The N80 uses S60 3rd Edition. This is a MUCH more advanced technology than the 2nd Edition. It offers more graphical, sound and interaction with the phone.
The downside of the S60 3rd Edition is that it is not compatible with earlier versions, 2nd Edition/1st Edition.
This is only for now, soon enough either in a firmware upgrade or in new models, the phones will be compatible with all of those.
For now, just use games from the new version, they are often more fun, with better graphics and sound.
Also you have Flash Lite 1.0 capabilities with the N80. You can download Free Flash Lite 1.0 Games.
These are games that are created with the awsome animating program (I use it =)) Macromedia Flash Professional. It costs alot of money (I got it from school =) with a license =D) and requires alot of training..so dont go for creating your own game straight away.
    There are websites such as:
    http://fullmaza.com/downloads/index.php?action=showgal&cat=110&page=1
Which offers free Flash Lite 1.0 Games.
    Have Fun!
Oh yea, Nokia unleashed their new Snakes version that you probably have on your mobile..now that is some graphical game!
    Good Luck,
    Tal
    I own a 5210, 5140 and now..the new 3250. Symbian 60 Series OS 3.0 ..just the best.
