Nokia n800 internet tablet

Can anyone help me to find tha latest os2008 update. Want to start using my old tablet again but unable to because of some bugs. Tried to find the rx-34 .... firmware to download but that was impossible, there's no place where it's left for downloading. Please someone (or Nokia) help!

I updated my N800 late last year and i was able to find the OS2008 update and update using the nokia Internet Tablet Suite update wizard, or whatever it was called lol. Google is your friend here, but it was on the official Maemo repository if thats any consolation.

  • Can a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet link with a Sony E...

Can a Nokia 770 Internet Tablet link with a Sony Ericson K750i as a Modem?

Did a little more digging and found that quite few people have problems getting this phone to do dialup with anything other than a laptop and SEs own software.
reason is that SE use some funny command structure, instead of *99# they use *99***1#
The number 1 there is important, it is the internet profile to use for the dialup, there will probably be several settings in
    Menu->Settings->Connectivity-> Internet Settings -> Internet Profiles ->
In the phone, and so the number will need to match the one that is configured for Internet access (and not Wap or MMS)
Also the N770 will need to be configured to send *99***x# (change the x to the number of the connection). I have never used the 770, but looking at the user guide you need to go to
Control panel > Control panel > Tools > Mobile operator setup wizard
Create a connection as described on page 27 of the user guide, the settings will be network operator dependent, but the key thing will be to configure the Dial-Up number to be *99***x#

  • N800 Internet Tablet and Adobe Flash 9 Browser Plu...

The n800 is supposed to have Adobe Flash 9 browser plug-in, but that does not show up on the list of appliations that the device shows are installed. Also, if you go to the Adobe site, it says that the Opera browser does not support Adobe Flash 9. So, if the Opera browser does not support Adobe Flash 9 how can the n800 have it. The reason I want adobe flash 9 is because when I try to play a video on cnn.com, I get a message saying that adobe flash 9 is needed. Can anyone shed any light on this.

On the N800 type about: into your web browser.. this should show microb not opera..
    then visit http://www.macromedia.com/support/documentation/en/flashplayer/help/settings_manager07.html
this should show you a Flash panel, proving Flash 9 exists

    1) There's antiword (with which I have no personal experience): http://maemo.org/downloads/product/antiword
    2) If they're unprotected (no DRM, Digital Rights Management) and just regular MP3 files, then yes. If they are protected (AAC format files, and not MP3 files) from iTunes, then no.
    3) By USB mass storage support (connect USB cable to your PC), or using an USB memory car reader and transferring a memory card back and forth, or sending files over Bluetooth.
The available applications you can also download directly using the N800, or go through this web site to find them:

  • N800 Internet Table will not download additional a...

Can anyone please assist with a solution to the following problem.
I have a new N800 Internet Tablet which was updated with os2008 on the day it was received. The Tablet and os2008 appear to all be working perfectly with the preinstalled sofware however I am unable to download any of the additional software such as Skype, Canola 2, Gmail tracker etc. I can log into any website ok and all appears to work correctly however when a download is attempted it sticks on the Applications Manager Screen with the download 1kb message and will not download any more. The applications manager log shows 'Couldn't stat source package list' (repeated for catalogue, repository and openbossa depending on the site attempted). I have followed all download instructions to the letter and even restored original settings once as I thought I may have done something wrong.
Is there a problem on the sites or do I need to alter something on the N800 tablet ? Is this a problem with the os2008 version currently being released ?

  • Placing a call through the internet tablet

I am thinking of purchasing the 770 internet tablet. I also have a nokia N70. When the two are connected via bluetooth will I be able to place a regular call (not internet) to a contact?

Not using the 770 (note, that it has been replaced by the newer N800, so consider getting that, instead).

  • Nokia N800 - HELP! I've lost my stylus!

Guys, i've lost the two stylus for my Nokia N800, and I can't find a place to buy a replacement here in.. ARGENTINA!
What can I do? Help me, please!

Well at a very high level you could buy a stylus for a Palm device or other touchscreen device. Even for the Nintendo DS and this will work, but if you MUST have the original Nokia replacement, then you will have to shop around the internet.

  • Cingular 8525 and Nokia N800

I just purchased the Nokia N800 ... I got this because the Cingular 8525 is incredibly slow at time in regards to how things go. Sometimes I have to wait for awhile in order for the windows to close (and there is nothing running), for a $500 phone, I'm not too entirely sure this was worth it. But anyway ... it has the ability to be a wireless modem as well, which is definatly a good feature of the phone, probably it's selling point in regards to me (I know there are other phones that have this ability as well) .. but anyway. Here's my problem, I pair the two devices together ... but the N800 can't access the internet through the phone, it only recgonizes it as a PDA (not entirely sure that means anything, but ... ) it doesn't really pick it up as being a phone or let me use the device as it was intended, .. but when I was searching for 'phones' on it, I found tons and tons of other people's, but I could not find the 8525 ... does anyone know a fix for this or have any ideas to help me get these two things connected?

Same goes for me. I have a Sony Ericsson W600i. I am able to connect to the Cingular network from my bluetooth-equipped laptop, but no the N800. I've corrected the connection settings to read UID: [email protected] already. That didn't help.

  • N800 Internet Radio

Hello - I just purchased the Nokia N800 - i have a question on the following
I need to listen to internet radio at this link - http://www.sikhnet.com/s/sikhnetradio - and say channel 13.
Can I make a short cut on Nokia N800 - so that I don't have to go through all the clicking. Also, is there a way to rename the Link.
I like the product - but - the customer support and documents need some improvement

    Hi,
Hold down pen on link and click add to media library-sometmes it asks you if you want to add to interent radio station list. Try accessing www.radiofeeds.co.uk and searchinmg for your radio station through your N800 and do as above.
