Nokia N82 Free 3 Month Trial for Voice-Guided Navi...

Hi all,
Nokia promoted a free 3-month trial for the voice-guided navigation on the Nokia N82 and I'm due to be visiting a few places in Britain soon so I need the maps to get there. But being a little tight, I was hoping I could get away with the free trial but the only options it gives me are three different plans which I have to pay for.
Any ideas anyone?? Any help much appreciated, Thanks
Ross

  • Anyone have  information about the publicised Free 3 month trial of iCloud for attendees of the Sydney Presentation held last wednesday?

I last purchased product at the release of cs3 and was not allowed to register the software 'because I had had it too long' ... yes, I had several episodes with the Big C and Adobe didn't honour their sale obligations ... should take the case to the Ombudsman ...

If a customer has purchased an earlier full version of product Adobe ought register that product so that it can be use. I purchased product and the tech who looked after the registration which enables you to use the product would not enable the software for use because there was a lag between purchase and request for activation.
Your comment about contacting whoever made the offer of access for attending the presentations is what doesn't make sense because there appears to be no way of contacting the organisers.

  • Connection fee for free one month trial

Hi, I just signed up for one month free unlimited world calling. I wanted to know if a connection fee applies for calls under this plan.
    Thanks.

    Hi,
I understand that you have subscribed with Azure and started to use Free one Month trial. However , you wanted to keep it for later use.
This is not possible because the  Free trial expires in 30 days and Microsoft azure will suspend the free trial account. You can optionally upgrade your trial to be a Pay-As-You-Go Azure subscription at this point if you want to continue
Or if you wanted to use only the Free trail, then you might have to subscribe with another Live ID [ email address ] which is active for 30 days.
If you are a student, Microsoft Azure Education Grants might help which are focused on enabling educators to easily leverage the benefits of the Microsoft Azure for curriculum development and teaching. Through these grants, educators can obtain easy access,
with no Credit Card required, to the Microsoft Azure for an extended period of time at no cost for themselves and their students. Access to the Microsoft Azure is made possible through 5-month Microsoft Azure Academic Passes. Educator Grants may be available
up to the number of students within the course, dependent on the volume of requests, pass availability, and the needs of the course.
Educators at accredited academic institutions can apply for the Microsoft Azure Educator Grants.

It works only when I'm calling to a house and not to a cell phone.
I'm sure I did everything right and I even got the mail that state that I have the subscription, but when I try to call, a massage shows up in the screen that says that I have no skype credit
    can someone help me?

Hi there, I have a 2009 Macbook - running on OS X V.10.6.8... but I'm looking at upgrading the Operating System to V.10.10. Will your latest version of LIghtroom (the one I can currently get a free one month trial of from your site) work with Apple's latest operating system - Yosemite V.10.10? Or will LR only work with V.10.7, 10.8 or 10.9?
    Thanks, Seamus

Hey, problem solved. One of the drives was faulty. I erased the 2nd drive (which was showing up as the degraded raid slice), deleted the RAID set and restored the 2nd drive from a back-up disk image. After that, when I booted using 'option' I was presented with two boot disks but only one that worked. And when it did boot  up only the reformatted disk was showing in Diskutil so I'm guessing the second one is knackered. With it still in place the server still wouldn't boot up from a full shutdown, but the moment it was removed it booted up no probs. Wakes up from sleep as well so it seems sorted.
So now just need to decide whether I'll bother with replacing the second drive or just use an external back-up. I have just bought a 1TB drive to back up to so will probably just go with that.
Btw, is there anyway I can test the drive I removed to see if can be saved?
Thanks for all your help. Your siamese twin comment was the push I need to erase the drive, I'd be holding off before that.

  • I got the Adobe free 30 day trial for Acrobat XI.

I got the Adobe free 30 day trial for Acrobat XI. Now after 30 days I can't open any Adobe file I have. Before the trial I could open them all. I got the trial to edit some files. I just want to return to the way it was previously where I could open and read all Adobe files people sent to me. This stinks! I took your free trial and now after the 30 days I am locked out of all the Adobe files. That is lame!!!   HELP!!

You're misunderstanding. Nothing has been locked. The problem is that you still have the trial on your system - because you might want to license it. Since you don't want to buy it, uninstall it. Once that is done, you might have to do a REPAIR on Adobe Reader, but anyway it is ready and willing to carry on opening PDFs when you let it.

  • N96 - GPS local maps and voice guided navi for 3 m...

I see on the box of the N96 :
"Including local maps and voice-guided navigation for three months"
So after 3 months there is no local maps and voice ?
    Why that ?
Even a cheap GPS at 100 euros has maps and voice forever
I dont understand. I have paid the phone and his features or not ?

I have to disagree with you there.
The system is designed to suit all users, not just those that use the phone for navigation in the car. Plus many people won't use the phone for navigation but will use it as an interactive map book.
Also with all the new and upcoming location based services that nokia now offers it is very important to have up-to-date maps.
If we had to pay for map updates then many of the location based services wouldn't be accurate or worth using.
So for a phone based navigation program it makes much more sense to get free maps. Obviously they have to recoup the map costs from somewhere so they have to charge for the navigation feature.
For dedicated in car sat-nav systems such as tom toms then it makes sense for them to give you the navigation for free. They make their money by charging you for new maps and maps for other countries.
So in some ways nokia's system is better because you have maps of most of the world totally free. It's also the only system that could suit the majority.
At the end of the day no one is forcing you to use nokia maps either. If you don't like it then install a program like garmin XT. This program is like in car sat-navs where navigation is free but you pay for maps. A very expensive option if you travel to many countries.

  • I've tried to download the free 1 month trial...

But every time I try to enter my password (which logs me in successfully to my account) it won't "recognise" it & I can't get past the double click to download Creative Cloud part... I'm using a MacBook Air.

Egslife the password you are being prompted to enter is the password for your user account.  This is the same log in you utilize to log into your computer.

Hello and welcome to the Skype Community!
Your calls to UK cellphones are not included in the Unlimited World Subscription. Have you tried purchasing credit at your client window? > Skype > Buy Skype Credit
TIME ZONE - US EASTERN. LOCATION - PHILADELPHIA, PA, USA.
I recommend that you always run the latest Skype version: Windows & Mac

  • Free 6 month stan and presto trial on bundle packages

Hi, I recently saw an ad on TV promoting a free 6 month trial for Stan and Presto for customers with bundle packages. I rang telstra and enquired about it and they had very limited information about the presto and stan 6 month free trial. I was on the phone to them for almost 1 hour and although they were friendly I felt that I got nowhere with them and did not get any clarity about how I receive my 6 month free trial periods. I have a telstra bundle phone package which I joined in February this year. Can i expect an email or postal mail anytime soon? I have actually joined up to Presto and and clicked on the link "Are you a telstra customer" but then realised that I needed a promo code.... which I obviously didnt have. In the personal details section I provided my telstra email address, date of bith, address in the hope that this would recognise me as a telstra customer but when I checked the details of my subscription it says that my first payment is due to come out of my credit card in one months time. Can someone plese provide me with these promo codes so that I can access presto and stan free trials? According to the ad on TV I am entitled to have acccess to these freee 6 month trials.... Looking forward to hearing from someone soon Thanks. Pat

    Hey Patranke
I replied in another thread where I saw this post, but not sure if you have seen that one. Essentially, the current promotion with the 6 months offer only started on May 12, so if you connected in February then unfortunately you are not eligible for this current promotion. But, we do run offers similar to this from time to time so keep an eye out on our website or social channels for more details
