Nokia N9 update problem

Today in notification i have update for my N9,and i when i go "update device software" it start download if i connect on the operater internet but when connect on wlan download didn't start.Update is to big to download with operater internet...I tried to change name of my wlan,turn off security and still nothing...Help please

not sure if it is necessarily a nokia issue. it could somehow be bottle-necking the system.
could even be some conflict with another package you have installed already. ie-when my device is over-clocked, my maps and drive launch slowly.....eventually work, but very slow.
but, works fine when not.

Nokia 503s Update Problem

Hi! This is my first post on the forum, I have a problem:
I'm from Argentina and I have a Nokia Asha 503s with the operator Personal Argentina, but I can't update the firmware. Whne I try to update via FOTA on the Setting's Menu but the phone says that isn't available an update.
For this reason I tried to update using Nokia Software Recovery Tool and Nokia Software Updater for Retail and both programs find the update, then download it but when the installation process starts it the phone restart normally (no show any White Screen) and reaches 10%, giving me this message:
"Error instaling software:Error code: 0x8401F141..."
I cancel the installation when the program ask me to recover the installation, and the phone does not apply any change.
Any possible solution?

Nokia N96 updating problems

First, I know N96 is an old phone, but I wanted it so bad, and i got one few months ago. I bough it with 20.050 firmware in it, and when i went check for updates (OTA) it said, and it always says no updates available. I checked the code behind the battery and its: 0543719, checked on the site says there is newer version firmware for my phone available. I tried updating with Nokia Software Updater, again latest version, but it shows error saying it can't identify my device. A friend of mine told me he updates via Ovi suite. I installed it and tried to update. It detected my phone, firmware and everything, it downloaded the latest firmware, but when i go to install, it shows that my usb is disconnected, and then connected again.. Is there any way i can update to the latest firmware? Can my phone die or get stuck on the oldest firmware if i do recovery? thanks.

There are 3 ways to update the firmware for the N96 and they are
1. OTA (over the air) which is the preferred method.
2. Ovi Suite/Nokia Software Updater
3. Nokia Care Point.
There is always a risk of bricking the phone if the update fails. This will then definitely require a trip to the local Nokia Care Point.
Sometimes when I encounter problems with the updating process, I actually hard reset the phone using the *#7370# reset code before I update. This could rid the phone of any settings etc that may be causing the problem.
Remember to backup your phone before attempting anything.

Nokia Suite and Nokia Software Updater problem

So I tried to synch my calendar and tasks this morning, as I usually do, from my office Windows XP laptop... and the synch failed.
The progress bar that should tell me how far along the synch has got just stayed empty.
After about ten minutes, I quit Nokia Suite, disconnected my phone, and reconnected it.
When I tried to restart Nokia Suite, I got a pop-up:
Nokia Software Updater is running
Please close Nokia Software Updater , as it stops you from opening Nokia Suite. Then, click Try again.
I looked in Task Manager, and couldn't find Nokia Software Updater...
Any ideas what I can do, other than reboot?

Sorry to hear about the situation. Please go to "Processes" sheet in Task Manager. Close the process Nokia Software Updater.
You can also go to Nokia Suite > Tools > Options > General > Automatically download software updates > Disable it. Try to sync again.
If it still fails, please tick " Nokia Suite > Tools > Options > General > Start collecting logs, in case the issue does not get resolved and you have to contact Nokia Care line and they need them.

Nokia N97 Updating Problem!

I'm having trouble updating from v11 to v12. It says I have the update already but everytime I try to update it just says it disconnects and it doesn't update at all. It keeps telling me it failed and I don't understand what's wrong -_-

Worked fine for me, Ovi Suite was always giving me the Error Code 12017.

Nokia software updater problem

I just have installed Nokia Software Updater for N80 Internet Edition.
I followed the instructions, The firmware version of my N80 were going to change from 4.0632.0.38 to 5.0719.0.2.
Almost at the end of the process, I had to take out the battery, then disconnect the usb cable, after that put the battery, turn on the phone and connect the usb cable.....
But, at this time.... the phone didn´t start up....
I am really worry because even though I tried to charge the battery, the phone doesn´t turn on any led.... I´s now a dead phone....
Please help me with some advices.....

Unfortunately things are not looking good. Firstly try leaving battery out for 5 minutes and then replace.
Secondly you might like to look at post from nando61 just input "N93 update fix" into "Search Discussions" at top right of screen. Although different S60 phone to yours, it seems to be a question of whether NSU can be "tricked" into reading phone so that software can be re-loaded.
It appears to have worked on an N70, N73 and N93 so far apart from loss of data unfortunately!
It may however be a small price to pay if you have a "bricked" "N" Series and a visit to a Nokia Service Centre neither practical or feasible.
Happy to have helped forum in a small way with a Support Ratio = 37.0

N8 - Nokia Belle Update Problem.

So I Have This Strange Problem with my Nokia N8. Last night i was doing that Noka Belle update and every time it Problem Says ( The Device Isn't Connected ) So every time i have to remove the USB And Switch the phone on again and re-try but the same prmblem came out everytime so i was tring again but last time when it was making the same thing my brother removed the phone from the USB Cable and now It's Dead it doesn't switch on Or Charge So some one knows what i have to do ? Sry For bad english.

my phone nokia 6300 0546930, Tried to update the software but it says I have the latest version 4.71. However I understand there is a version 5.0 that sorts out the echo problem when fitted to a hands free kit. How do I get this latest version?

N73 Nokia Software Update Problem

Having this problem right now, trying to update to the internet edition, the update stops at around 80% says connection the phone is lost, I can restart the phone by removing the battery when it restarts I seem to end up with a cross between the music edition & the internet edition, ie. I get the update player which is on all the time but can still use the media key to select various apps and don't get any of the msn messenger stuff, firmware reports itself as the current uptodate.

Everything seems to work okay so far (apart from some missing apps like xpressprint) anyone know where I can download it?
I can also shutdown the music player by selecting exit in the equaliser settings.

NOKIA ASHA200 UPDATE PROBLEM SOLVED

Hey everyone ... Thanks to our admirable employee of nokia Magovoru aka Miss Marina the nokia asha 200 upgrade issue is solved. Just had her input and here it is. I followed the procedure and just upgraded my asha firmware and yes its more reponsive and faster. Yet to test the echo issue.
open C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Suite\productapi\productapiconfiguration.xml file in the notepad
find
<TypeDesignator>RM-800</TypeDesignator> <SecuritySolution>SD</SecuritySolution>
and change it to:
<TypeDesignator>RM-800</TypeDesignator> <SecuritySolution>NA</SecuritySolution>
also another device needs to be change, from:
<TypeDesignator>RM-761</TypeDesignator> <SecuritySolution>SD</SecuritySolution>
to
<TypeDesignator>RM-761</TypeDesignator> <SecuritySolution>NA</SecuritySolution>
nokia suite 3.4 will have this issue resolved which is yet to come out.

I had the exact same problem (did not want to update software, like 22_nel)
What I did: just got a flash drive from the phone and ran sync in Nokia Suite. After that, all updated.

i have problems updating my phone to the newest version as it dowloads it ses updating failed then it ses connect you phone straight ti the usb hub behind the p.c after doing it 5 times its still has the same problem what can i do how cam this be solved

Thanks for the answers.
At the end, the only option had been to take the mobile to a Nokia Center. So I'm without GPS...
One thing that i don't understand is how Nokia don't change the way of updating the phone firmware, as the actual way don't seem secure...
The technician in the Nokia Center recommended me that the next time it's better that I don't try to update the phone because it fails a lot of times. (Also said that there are no benefits in updating it... I don't agree much with him :-P). But as i have seen on the net, that kind of error happens a lot, leaving the mobile "dead" and the only way to repair it, is sending the mobile to Nokia...
At least the warranty covers it and the repair is for free...

Nokia C3 Update Problems

I'm currently trying to update my Nokia C3 but have run into a few problems. I initially wanted to update without using the PC but this wasn't possible as for some reason my phone refused to use the wifi and I am without a mobile internet contract, because of this I decided to update using the PC.
During updating with the PC all was going well until the update is 1 second away from being finished. It simply hangs. I've attempted several times to update and the same thing happens and each time I have to disconnect my phone.
I don't know if it helps but I'm trying to upgrade from 3.36 to 7.25. If anyone could help with a way of stopping it from hanging or getting the phone to use wifi so I can update it would be much appreciated.

i have problem with my nokia n96, when i open nokia pc suite and go to software update show me 11.101 and only two applications are available: mail for exchange and nokia messaging. I do not see there download the software or something like that. Software is from 2008 i want to update this phone but i can't. I downloaded NSU but this can not install... Please HELP. Is your phone locked to any Network ? Availability of update depends on region / Product Code and also for locked devices an approval from the Operator is needed. In any case it seems quite a long time that the phone has this version. You may ask your local Nokia Care whether they can help updating the Firmware to the latest version ...

Seems your device is Network locked. If so, you need to approach your Operator and ask them the status.
