Nokia n93i camera problems :(

hi, i recently bought a nokia n93i (about 3 days ago) and its pretty cool especially the camera, but lateley i cant use it. when i swithch to picture/video mode the screen goes black and white trips looking like a codebar (example) ( and i cant do anithing. if someone had this problem and solved it please tell me, i dont wanna go yet to the service. ps: i cant use the camera even with photorite or other camera software

Try doing the following :
1) Reset the phone to factory default by keying *#7370# after backing up data
2) Upgrade the firmware to 20.0.084 using Nokia software updater.Ensure the battery is fully charged

Nokia n8 camera problem

There is some problem with my nokia n8 camera whenever i click a picture or make a video there is lot of noise in the picture and video.
i have compared the image and video quality of my friend's n8 and they far surpass mine.
i have already
removed the back cover nokia provide on camera,
checked the image and video settings they are at 12mp for images and video is setted for high defination
restored my phone to factory settings,
did a delete and restore,
cleared the back lens,
took my sim out,
updated my phone
but still the problem persists. please help

NOkia N93i Firmware problem

Hi guys,
I am trying to update the firmware on my Nokia N93i, i have dowloaded the software update from the Nokia website and begin the installation, i follow the insructions on the screen, when the installation of the new software for the phone begins the progress bar does not seem to move, i then get a pop up from the nokia pc suite saying the phone has been disconnected from the pc and then i get told that the procedure has failed and to remove the battery from the phone and replace it and turn back on to try again.
No matter how many times i do this i get the same result,
Any ideas how i can stop this and get the firmware updated?

I am having the same problem as you are... and i have used the software updater before and it worked... i think that there is a little problem with this new version...

Help Needed , N93I Camera problem after Update

Hi All
After updating my N93I the camera can't take pics and only take Black photos , You don't see nothing on the screen ( Only stripes)
The Phone is O.k since it worked for 1 time even after the upgrade and that's all.
I can use the internal camera.
Please Help .

for some reason today, when i have gone to use my camera on my e5 it flashes up with a white screen saying 'unexpected error occurred. restart phone' can anyone shed any light on this and how to get it fixed? i have done as it said and restarted the phone but to no avail,

Reset the E5-00. Dial *#7370# 12345 reformat, you'll lose all data. Make a backup first and restore without the settings. If this problem persits, you better bring your device in for service.

Nokia 6131 Camera Problems

So when I try to take a picture, it says:
"Camera on standby"
I am saving it to my Memory Card which has plenty of space but it just refuses to save it there!
I need help, please. How can I take it off standby and make the photos work?

Thanks so much for trying to help me, patc! I did your suggestions and:
I took out the memory card and used the phone memory.
I realised I didn't have memory on the phone memory, so I deleted one picture which gave me enough memory to take one more picture and it worked!
So I deleted that one picture again to save up some memory.
Put the memory card in, so I could move the photos saved to the phone card to the memory card and it said "Operation Failed".
It's weird because:
Phone Memory has 530 KB of Free Memory (so obviously that will be a problem)
But..
The memory card has 87.5 MB of Free Memory, so I don't know why it can't let me move the pics to the Memory Card, and why it won't even let me save any to the Memory Card. I didn't have to rely on the phone memory this much before! :\ I tried to take another picture with it being saved on the Memory Card and it said Camera On Standby again.
Sorry if this was a long post. I guess this is like a hospital for mobile phones so this place seems pretty helpful!

Nokia 7390 camera problems

Hello everyone with nokia 7390.
Could anybody please help me. I just get a new nokia 7390 but I have a serious troubles with camera and video recorder. When I try to start camera it takes few seconds and then it say that operation failed and then that camera is in standby mode. does anybody experienced something like this?

Nokia 3250 camera problems

im having bother with my camera on my 3250. basically when i swivel the bottom part it switches to the camera mode but there is no view finder display, its just diplaying the wallpaper. it randomly does this, more frequesntyl than not, and even when it does show the view finder, it freezes etc and looks pretty grainy etc.
any ideas folks?

just a wee update on my problem. took it to a dealer who flashed the software in a bid to fix the problem. after 3 seperate attempts, none of which worked, the phone has now been sent away for further investigation so we'll see what they say. i hope i get a fault report back with it.

Please Help!! Nokia N95 Camera Problems!!!

I recently upgraded my Nokia N95 Firmware to the newest one available, and since then, my camara has stop working. When i open the shutter and then then software loads the screen is just black, i cant click options or anything cause it dosent work. But if i take a picture by clicking the camara button it takes a picture .
I have tryed everything by resetting, re-installing the firmware.
Is there a way i can downgrade my firmware??

It isn't possible for you to roll back the firmware update. You could try asking your local Nokia Care Point if they will do it for you.
Have you tried the 3 finger hard reset?

For us to identify the cause of the issue, you can try the following troubleshooting steps:
Have you tried to reboot the phone? Turn off the phone and remove the battery. After a few minutes, return the battery and switch on the phone.
If the issue remains, you can restore factory settings on your device. This will not delete any personal data on the phone.
Menu>Tools>Settings>General>Factory settings> Enter the security code. The default code is 12345 unless otherwise changed.
You can also check if there is an available update for your device using the Nokia Suite. If there is no available update, you can reinstall the software by clicking on the highlighted text "reinstall". For video tutorials, you can check this link: www.nokia.com/nokiasuite.
If there is no progress after the above troubleshooting steps, you can reformat the phone. This will delete all data, so make sure to backup your files first. To reformat your phone, dial *#7370# on your phone dialer. After which, a security code will be asked to complete the process.
In the event that the above steps did not resolve your concern, the best course of action is to bring the device to the repair facility for an assessment.

Camera Problems after Update - NOKIA SUPPORT PLEAS...

I am reading over the net that some users lost the ability to use the camera after Update of firmware.
I am one of those that have a N93I (Which supposed to have a great camera) that can't use the camera any more , When I try to use the camera I get stripes on the screen and the pictures are all black.
I am reading about the same issues with other users and other phones.
I have tried to update the software several times and it remains the same.
What are my options , I got the phone as a gift from other state and I don't have a place that can help me here in Israel , I guess I need to re flash the phone but no support center in Israel that can do this since this phone is not “official” supported in Israel ... What can I do.
I must say that I am disappointed from Nokia phones; I have bought two in the last months:
Nokia N93I : I cannot use the camera after using the NOKIA software update.
Nokia N95 that the screen turn to black, the phone is working but nothing on the screen ,At least this can be fixed by Nokia partner in Israel since the phone is also being sell in Israel.
I am a big fan of Nokia, I used a many phones and the main issue is that those are the best phones and I feel like **bleep** with those.
Please help me and advise me what I can do with my N93I.

I AM VERRY SORRY TO BE THE ONE WHO TELLS U THIS but, unfortunatley the black photos and strips are not caused by the update (( it is a HARDWARE problen nothing to do with software. i had the same problem and i went to a service with it, they reinstalled the soft but still didnt work, then when they checked the camera inside the prob was truly this thing: camera itself
srry man anyway try to get an opinion of ur self from some services i may be wrong
(that war the problem in my case with black/blue photos and stripes)

hi mate, have you tried resetting the Nokia Camera settings to default, and also checking that you are fully up to date with the latest firmware for your device, along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store?

My three month old Nokia N8 camera flash wont owrk under any light conditions, you can switch it on manually, leave it on auto..... doesnt matter it wont flash.
