  • Nokia 6234 USB Connection

This may be a very stupid question but....
I can't figure out how to connect my phone to my PC. The computer doesn't have bluetooth or infrared so I need to use a USB connection. I have a normal USB cable that I've used for phones, mp3 players, etc. (the one with one bigger and one smaller head) but I can't see anywhere on the phone to connect the USB!
    Please help!!!!

    Which is the 6234?
There's mention of it in the US I think, but I didn't think it was out

    Go to Solution.

There may be a few ways to go around this.
-Perhaps you may try opening the web browser > options > clear privacy data > all.
-If this does not help then go to the menu > tools > settings > connections > access points > scroll down to the router and delete the access point and try using the WLAN wiz to redefine the access point.
Mark me a KUDOS if this has helped...

  • Nokia N95 SIP connection disconnecting

I have been using a SIP provider on my Nokia N95 for months.
Since two days it started disconnecting the Wireless LAN and would not connect to the SIP profiles. I have reconfigured the settings as well. Same service works fine on computer.
Could it be a bug or there is a solution for this behaviour?

Make sure you've entered the realm correctly in the registrar settings. That's a classic gotcha.
And before you ask, no, I don't know what the realm is for your system.

  • NOKIA N95 INTERNET CONNECTION (HSDPA)

I HAVE JUST PURCHASED A NEW NOKIA N95. I JUST LOVE IT AND ALL THE FEATURES ABOUT IT. MY SERVICE PROVIDER IS CINGULAR AND I AM UNABLE TO CONNECT TO THE MEDIA NET AT ANY HIGHER SPEED THAT EDGE. I LIVE IN THE ATLANTA, GEORGIA AREA AND I HAVE BEEN TOLD THE HSDPA SERVICE IS AVAILABLE AT LEAST IN GREATER DOWNTOWN ATLANTA AREA. I DROVE DOWN TO MIDDLE OF ATLANTA AND NO SUCH SERVICE WAS AVAILABLE. CAN ANYONE TELL ME (1) DOES CINGULAR RECONGIZE THE N95? (2) IF THEY DO NOT, WHAT OTHER NETWORK DOES PROVIDE THE BLAZING ANDSIZZLING HOT SPEEDS OF 3G COMBINED WITH HSDPA? I NEED THE SPEED OF THE BROWSER TO COMPLETE THE BEAUTY AND GLORY OF THE PHONE. WILL SOMEONE PLEASE HELP? THANKS!

Unfortunately the only Nokia device that Cingular support with their 3G network is the upcoming N75. For all of us in the States with the N95, we can only use EDGE.

  • Nokia N95 USB Problem

I have a problem with my Nokia N95-1 considering the USB transfer to my Memory Card.
I have a 1GB Kingston MicroSD, the latest software (V 20.0.015, 13-11-07, RM-159, Balkans Pack, updated from V13); PC Suite v6.85.14.1 on Windows XP Professional.
While I was transfering some 300MB of music to the MicroSD, Explorer crashed and reported that data might have
been lost during the transfer. I checked my phone and noticed "ghost" files on the memory card (free memory was reduced by 300MB, but the phone couldn't register new files). I retransfered the files, disconnected the phone and started the Music Player.
Music Player said "Repairing corrupted database", hanged for a while and then added newly transfered files to the track list. But, when I tried to play a file, it refused to do it and said "Generalystem error". Phone became slow and impossible to operate, so I had to restart it. Same problem occured again, and similar things happened in File Explorer (shows nothing on the card), LCG Jukebox and LCG Xplore (get stucked when they access it or refuse to start files).
After this, I removed the MicroSD - after this, everything on my N95 returned to normal.
Since then, I've tried to change the USB Cable, USB Port, USB Transfer mode; tried to reformat my MicroSD many times with many formatting tools - Phone Memory Card Manager, Windows Formatter, KillDisk, Panasonic SDFormatter - but the result always remained the same: after I retransfer the files to the card, it becomes useless until I reformat it again.
These programs didn't register any corruptions, but Windows Formatter and Panasonic SDFormatter would sometimes report that they were unable to reformat the card.
I tried to insert the MicroSD into my MSI Mega538 MP3 player, reformat, and then transfer files to it. Again,
transfer itself worked okay, but when I inserted the card into my N95, same problem occured. I tried to transfer
some files to the Phone Memory via PC Suite - it worked great.
I tried to insert my friend's 1GB Kingston MicroSD into the phone. It registered it perfectly - Music Player has
refreshed the database, registered new files and played them without any problem. Same goes for the Gallery - some
400 images and videos were recognized right away, and the phone itself worked fast and stable.
When I bought my phone, I had no problems at all - files could be transfered normally, Music Player would simply
refresh the database, and I could use the files easily - no problems, system errors, system hangs or restarts. But after that Explorer crash, I simply can't use the memory card any more.
Sorry for long post, but I really need your help. Is the memory card corrupted, is it a hardware or software problem
with my N95, or is it a Windows glitch?

    Hi ivanik,
I strongly believe this is an issue with the card. Seeing that the phone works fine without it and works with a different card perfectly...
Perhaps it is an issue with the data that your transfering to the card. It may not be compatible to the phone. Thus the phone lags and doesnt play the files.
Try loading different data... perhaps one from a source...
Try this once you have formatted your card...

  • Nokia N800 - USB Connectivity Issues

I was just getting ready to purchase about 3000 770's when I found out the N800 was being released. So I bought a few test models. I am having some issues with the new model that I've not heard addressed on any forums yet:
    1. USB connection to the PC is a little bit "picky". After several failed attempts to connect to my Windows XP machine ("Error connecting USB device" ), I finally figured it out: The 800 has to be powered OFF before it's plugged in. This was not the case for the 770.
    2. Despite all attempts, I've failed to connect the N800 to a Mac. This is the first device I've ever had problems getting a Mac to talk to.
    And finally, a complete mystery:
    3. Why, on a device touting its open source qualities, is the software updater written exclusively for dot Net architecture? I wonder if anyone else has found the fact that a Linux-based device can not be updated by a Linux-based computer a bit ironic?Message Edited by sealswcc on 22-Jan-2007

After upgrading from an older version of OS2008 to the latest
version, I lost the ability to connect my N800 to my Linux
box as a USB device. Before, it would show up as a USB
device, and I could access the card. Now it doesn't.
I have it plugged in when I connect the cable, and when
I start it, it boots as though the cable is not connected,
and it does not appear as a device. This is rather odd!
    Has anybody else experienced this?

  • Nokia n95 8g connecting to computer please help me...

Hello people im totally new to all this ive just got a nokia n95 and im tryin to put pictures from my computer to my phone.
I want to do like a drop and drag so you basically go on my computer and open my removeble disc that would be the phone.
Then i can drop my pics in there.
I got it to do this once pictures were on the phone all was good then suddenly lost it all and cant get back to using this method i dont want to use the nokia system please help thanks

I played with different methods. For me, the easiest is to open Nokia PC suite and drag/drop jpg files onto the drop zone. If you can autoconnect via bluetooth, this couldn't be much easier.
You can do this for audio files also.

I've once read this kinda prob in other thread, but the different is the handset, its N82, instead yours, N95.
    Try this: rename/remove wdf01000.sys from windows\system32\drivers\
Next time you plug your phone, the USB Phone Parent driver will be automatically installed (or upgrade drivers from Device Manager in Control Panel > System > Hardware. If not, try to uninstall all nokia apps (pc suite, etc), rename the file above, then install the nokia apps.

  • Nokia N95 Not Connecting

I have a T-mobile N95 which I have from my brother. It has no sim or memory card yet as I'm waiting for a sim-only purchase to arrive with T-mobile (phone is still locked to T-mobile)
I was trying to connect to the PC, it recognises something when I attach it via the original cable but the Nokia PC Suite is unable to make a connection
I can't see what this has to do with a lack of Sim card for now. I have even tried downloading the latest version of Pc Suite. I use Windows XP. It links via blue tooth but not cable
Please help, I love the look of the N95 but it wont help if I can't link to my comupter

  • Nokia n8 USB connection lost

when everything was working fine and smooth,
today i lost my N8's connectivity all of a sudden
it wont connect to any mode, not PC suite, mass transfer etc
all i get displayed by windows is" the USB device is malfunctioned"
i checked with different PC, different cables
uninstalled PC suite and every single piece of Nokia from my pc
    still problem persist
    any help??
PS: i got charging popup when i connect n8 by usb cable!!
*note;  removed mention of tool not available to general public.

    Hi sid88840,
In order to fix this isue, I would suggest you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up,  type *#7370# on the keypad.  Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
Alternatively, you may also check for updates on Nokia Suite (by going to Tools > Updates).
If the problem persists, I would invite you to visit your local Nokia care point to get the phone checked, If it needs a repair, it could be done there.
    Hope this helps.
    Regards,
    Pfrancoise

  • Nokia 5233 - USB Connection Problem??

I installed the latest version of Ovi Player, following through the instructions to connect through a USB chord.
When I plug it in, the phone would light up and ask to select which USB mode I wanted - like directed, I chose "PC Suite".
However, each time I try connecting it it will always say "Nokia Ovi Suite could not recognise your device. Try disconnecting and reconnecting the cable.", of which I've done 7 times now.
Quite frustrated, and I think I've tried it all. I tried using Nokia PC Suite instead, and even on another computer. I tried it in the other modes too - Mass Storage, Image Transfer and Media Transfer. Nothing. I have no idea whether its my computer or the phone that's the problem. I assume it's something from the computer because when I plug it in, I don't even get a Device notification on the screen. My computer has no Bluetooth, so I cannot try connecting through with that (though my Phone's BT works fine).
The computers I used are both Windows 7. The USB cable used is one that didn't come in the box when I bought the phone 2 days ago, but this one fits.
Please help! Thanks! If you need screenshots or anything, feel free to ask.

It seems the problem is with the cable... the cable itself is not recognised and the required drivers are not getting installed..

  • Nokia 6234 USB connection fails with Music Manager...

Have connected my 6234 with a CA-53 USB cable to my PC (using Windows XP). After many initial problems of it not being recognised it now seems to be installed and the driver also. Now I can get as far as 'copying to phone' tracks in Nokia Music Player (PC Suite v.6.8.1).
Then I get a 'connection to phone failed' every time I try to transfer the tracks. Suggests something if it's a bluetooth connection. Nothing for a cable.
Would be very grateful for any ideas. Has taken me hours to get this far.
    Thanks.

For clarity: use you PC Suite 6.81.13? And Nokia Music Manager (not for example Nokia Multimedia Player?)
"Suggests something if it's a bluetooth connection" this was difficult to understand, can you type exactly what is the error mesaage you are getting, also what type of music files you are transferring (MP3's? AAC? ...?) And how many at the time and are moving those to memory card or ?

  • Nokia N5800 USB Connection Problems

I have bought a Nokia 5800, I've tried to download some mp3 music files into it but the Nokia Music application does not recognize the mobile connected via USB in media transfer mode. I'm connecting the phone using a Sony Vaio Laptop running on Window Vista Home Premium edition. While Nokia OVI suite seems working all right with the phone.

    Hi nikmar_2000,
Have you already solved the problem?
(If you haven't, try PC Suite 6.84.10)
