NOKIA OVI Suite could not connect to the nokia acc...

Hi, please help?
I cant seem to connect to my ovi account via ovi suite (could not sign in), it asks if the internet connection is working.
Though when i try log in via the ovi website I have no issues.
It wouldnt have bothered me but now it asks to log in for me to update the phone software so cant update. If this doesnt get resolved I am hoping that software updater in pc suite still works?!

  • Nokia Phone Browser "could not connect to the phon...

Hi friends, I have a Nokia N72 mobile and am using PC suite 6.81.13.0. My problem is that I can't see the folders within my phone memory or memory card using nokia phone browser. As soon as it shows connected, I click on file manager and the error appears. Although it shows Nokia N72 connected I get a message that says "Could not connect to the phone" even though it is definitely connected. Windows explorer eventually opens and although Nokia N72 is visible no folders/files below this are. Only the synchronization option is working fine. This problem is same both with data cable and bluetooth dongle. I have also installed the latest version of nokia pc suite but of no use. Plzz help me out as it is very urgent...Hoping for early response... Thanx in advance...

  • Updates: "Could not connect to the service"

    Hi,
Every time I click on the software update button in Ovi Suite it seems to be checking for updates, but after a while I get the message
Could not connect to the service
There seems to be a problem with connecting to the Nokia Ovi Suite update service. Make sure that your firewall and virus protection settings are correct. Also, make sure that the menu option for working offline is not selected in Internet Explorer. If you still cannot connect, the service may be unavailable. Please try again later.
I got a similar message with an earlier version of Ovi Suite, so I uninstalled it and installed version 3.0.0.290 manually, but I am still getting this message.
    Thanks

There has been a problem with Ovi suite where it has used some old GTE CyberTrust certificates from the pc and those old certificates have expired. If you run a trace on a failed Ovi login using wireshark then you might see something like this:
    10.1.1.3              184.27.103.249        SSLv3    Client Hello

    184.27.101.249 ==> server in akamaitechnologies.com domain.
The SSLv3 Encrypted Alert message in the trace might be related to those expired certificates. The workaround is to manually remove those certificates, but I don't think that has worked for everyone.
It appears that there might have been some improvements in Ovi Suite 3.1.0.84, which is why satari is recommending to upgrade to Ovi Suite 3.1.0.84. If this works for people here, it would be really useful if those people could confirm, so other people can know if that fixed the problem.

  • Nokia Ovi suite STILL not working with Windows 7/U...

    Hi
I have been waiting paitiently for around 7 months now to get a working version of Ovi Suite to use to sync my Nokia C7.
Right now its only version 3.1.1.78 I think. I started at 2.9.X
Ovi suite still thinks my phone is not in Ovi Suite mode. This happens only with Windows 7 laptop. Atleast now I think I can sync stuff using blue tooth. Probably Nokia expects me to copy over small video clips also with Blue tooth!!!
When are you planning to fix? Please dont tell me to use Nokia PC cleaner - I just did that. 3 times in a row. Tried on 3 different Windows 7 laptops also.
    Thanks
    Anup
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Piv1978,
    Try the following workaround.
    Manual sync
Open Nokia Ovi Suite--> Sync--> Sync option--> Uncheck the sync automatically everytime you connect the device.
Then Sync--> Sync now--> Contact, Calendar& tasks, Messages or Notes one by one individually.
Re-pair the "pst" and the "ost" Outlook files as in the following location.
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANPST.EXE
    C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office12\SCANOST.EXE
Right click the above mentioned exe file and 'Run' it.
    NOTE
It's adviced to take a back- up of the user's Outlook folders to avoid any loss of information.
Check with Microsoft support pages for more information.
I hope this helps you with the error code.

  • OVI Suite will not connect my N8 using USB

    Hello
For some very odd reason the only way I can connect to OVI Suite is by Bluetooth.
When I plug the USB cable in and starts OVI Suite nothing happens.
    Nothing happens vice versa either.
I'm using Suite version 3.0.0.290 on Windows XP. Nothing is wrong with my USB connections in general.
It is a problem since Bluetooth isn't ideal for transporting huge amounts of data.
    Any ideas?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Success!!
Nokia Care came through for me!
    Pretty complex procedure though.
    Try this:
    1. Disconnect your phone from your computer.
    2. Go to Add/Remove programs in the Control Panel.
    3. Remove Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
        Remove Nokia Ovi Suite
        Remove PC Connectivity Solution
    4. Download and run Nokia PC Suite Cleaner from
    http://www.nokia.dk/produktsupport/download-software/pc-suite/how-to/nokia-pc-suite-cleaner
    5. Reboot
    6. Download latest version of OVI Suite from
    http://www.nokia.dk/produktsupport/download-software/nokia-ovi-suite/compatibility-and-download
    7. Turn off you AntiVirus/Spyware and Firewall(Including Windows Firewall is enabled) software before you start the install of OVI Suite- very important!!
    8. Reboot after installation of OVi Suite
    9. Do not start OVI Suite yet after reboot!
    10. Make sure your AV Software/firewall is not turned on.
    11. Connect your phone using your USB cable.
    12. The drivers should install without any problems. Takes a minute or so.
    13. Start OVI Suite after Windows reports that the installation was succesful.
    Everything should work now

  • Nokia6670 - (COULD NOT CONNECT TO THE PHONE) PROBL...

I have nokia 6670. I am using latest version of PC suite version 6.70.22.Bluetooth device is bluesol .WindowsXP SP2.
my problem is that when i connect to phone using blue tooth, the pc suite connects for 2, 3 minutes and i can only download images from my phone. Messages and contacts are not accessable. After three minutes, i receive the error
(could not connect to the phone). whereas it is shown in get connected window
(nokia6670 connected via blue tooth) . when i use repair option in pcsuite, the same thing happens again. I get connected for 2, 3 minutes and can download images only. Then i get the same error, could not connect to the phone.
i place phone just next to my computer and there is no out of range issue.
I am using xp with sp2 installed and updated regularly.
When I use microsoft bluetooth i can onley receive the images.
here is a screen shot of the error.

    http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/...040906574je.jpg
just see, phone is visible in pcsuite but when i click on it using file manager, i get the error (could not connect to the phone)
Another thing is that even i switch off my 6670, it is still shown in pc suite as as connected..
I have also tried the nokia pcsuite cleaner but no use.
I have un installed blue sol 1.6 software since with that microsoft bluetooth doesnt work. In other words, all options are tried.

Yep - anti-virus and firewall software can interfere with the installation of software.
A general suggestion, specially when any kind of connectivity is involved, would be to disconnect from the Internet and disable any anti-virus and firewall software for the duration of the installation. This way you know that it won't interfere with the software you're wanting to install.
Glad you managed to sort the issue out yourself though, well done! :-)

  • Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your devi...

5 months has passed and many hours on the phone to Nokia. The phone has been completely reset /reboot by Nokia time and time again and still the phone gets this message when trying to update software..."Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device"....We were optimistic that the software upgrade would solve the other problems we are having with all the Nokia phones at work. They are all E52's

Having the same issue currently with an E72 software version is 054.005.266.02 and Ovi Suite 3.1.1.80
Actually I had connection lost all the time with all previous versions of Ovi Suite too... it has never been reliable.
Using original Nokia USB cable, connected securely. Tried different PCs, different USB ports, same issue.
Just now I'm trying software update and it looses connection during the backup process all the time... very disappointing. Screenshot attached if anybody is interested.

So I have called nokia and they tell me that they have an issue!
Is everybody having this issue or is it just new accounts?
Possibly it has something to do with the new download available which allows some to break through the restrictions re copying and sharing? I have not done this - as i can not even login yet.
    Any help would be appreciated.

I have the same problem and its really annoying im fed up with Nokia telling me they have an issue...ill give them an issue

  • ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Network Connection was refuse

I'm getting this error which I'm sure that many people are familiar with. "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Network Connection was refused" It was working perfectly fine on 9.1 even with my Norton security on. I upgraded to 9.2 and all of a sudden getting this message. I tried:
    - Completely removing and reinstalling iTunes.
    - Tried the Terminal solution
    - Removed Norton suite
    - Checked proxy settings
    - Added application to firewall settings to allow incoming connections.
    - Ran disk Utility to repair permissions
Still no luck. Any other suggestions that I could try to resolve this pain in a** issue?

Also tried connecting via Ethernet. Still no luck.

    Hi
You mention checking the DNS A record, are these 2 servers not in the same domain? Can you ping -a computername?
Do you have any other AV software that have firewalls built in?
Hope this helps. Please remember to click “Mark as Answer” on the post that helps you, and to click “Unmark as Answer” if a marked post does not actually answer your question. This can be beneficial to other community members reading the thread.

  • ITunes could not connect to the iTunes Store "Error Message"

I recently added iTunes 7.6 to my Windows XP operating system at the same time when I added an *Ion USB Turntable (TTUSB).* I currently have the 80G iPod with the larger video screen. I added in the supplied software of the EZ Vinyl Converter. The software reads from Gracenote and imports into iTunes okay. But now my PC cannot access the iTunes store to buy songs, read the tracks on the discs, or display new album artwork. The diagnostic read the network connectivety test, the CD/DVD drive, and iPod connectivity tests all read okay. I followed the directions on checking the network settings under the Internet Options Tool "Connections" Lan Settings and the Automatic detection and still no dice. All I get is "Make sure your network is active."

I'm seeing this error on some, but not all, of my Windows XP machines. On my personal development XP box, I see this error if iTunes is closed when I try and access iTunes U via my transfer script or Stanford's.
"iTunes could not connect to the Music Store. The network connection was terminated unexpectedly. Make sure your network connection is active and try again."
The errors occured in IE 7 Beta, Firefox 1.5.x, and Firefox 2 Beta. In each case, iTunes U loaded after I clicked the 'ok' button in iTunes. I did notice that in Firefox's case an additional pop-up window appeared that asked whether or not I had iTunes; when I selected that I do have itunes, it transfered me to iTunes but generated the error.
After getting these errors on my Windows XP machine, I tried it on two different lab machines running Windows XP, and didn't get the error message once -- I tried it in IE 6, Firefox 1.0.x and Firefox 1.5.x and they all worked. It even worked with IE 7 Beta and Vista Beta.
Based on this, I think the problem must lie in how Windows registered iTunes, and the handshake just isn't happening properly.

  • ITunes RADIO is not working.  "iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again." Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so -  iTu

    iTunes RADIO is not working.
“iTunes could not connect to the iTunes Store. Make sure your internet connection is active and try again.” Try as I may, as many as ten attempts, trying to connect after restart, after shutdown, nothing works. Just so …
iTunes STORE not “connectable” with my otherwise perfectly-working internet connection, viable, up and running for all other uses.
Simply put, firstly, I can't connect to the internet when I click on Radio.  People are quite suspicious that this is Apple incompetence or your company's famous arrogance for this commonly-suffered problem that you won't or “can’t” fix.
Read the many web comments and you won’t be pleased with yourselves: the suspicion is that if you ruin internet radio on iTunes, Apple will somehow make more money on music downloads, etc. Bull.
Also, thirdly, my old playlist of 20 or so internet radio stations in the Ambient category STILL PLAYS !
Then fourth, I installed the latest available version of QuickTime Player 7.app Version 7.6.6 but it didn’t solve the problem either. I had QuickTime Player.app Version 10.2, but substituted what Apple website said was the latest, LOWER NUMBERED QuickTime Player version of 7.6.6
Fifth, I can't connect to iTunes store no matter what I do or what user group's advice I try. So I can’t buy or download anything from iTunes. Bad for business.
Sixth, I updated to the latest version of iTunes but this weird problem remains. All suggested Apple fixes or user group fixes are useless. Where is Apple’s famous technical competency, vaunted customer support?, and user-friendly product reputation? Get it back, please.
Solve this problem of yours ASAP for us, your numerous disgruntled, dissatisfied customers of iTunes. You can do better, should, and really –in all fairness- must.
    ===============================================================
NOTE:  no password for iTunes exists in my Keychain. Is this a problem?
Apple ACCOUNT ID, and iTunes ID password, works but not to access iTunes with my healthy internet connection.
Apple store id It works via direct internet connetion but not through iTunes.  Very strange.
