Nokia Ovi Suite - Problem linking phone 6700
Hi,
I have a Nokia 6700 slide. I am trying to manage my contacts through Ovi Suite.
During the "add a device" process the following happens:
Step 1 "Model" - I can complete
Step 2 "Details" - I can put in my "phone number & time zone" & then when I hit next it refuses to go anywhere. Just sits there.
Step 3 "Sync instructions" - can't get there at all

I am having exactly the same problem , it sucks. Also if i get a message from someone and I add them to contacts , their name doesnt come up when they call or message me again , i am not impressed

I too am facing the same problem. In my case the transfer files check box is greyed out, when i do a sync. I have a feeling that is because my phone (e71) isn't supported by Ovi suite.
What phone are you using?

I am having several problems with the program that I got on the CD together with my Nokia N97. I am trying to use the program Nokia Ovi Suite, but it's just not working.
Below there is a picture with errors that I get, even while installing and booting the program.
I realise it's in dutch - but I guess the most important ones are the 4th and 5th.
1 = While installing
2,3 = While launching the program
4 = When I connect my phone to my computer (so it does say its connected)
5 = Always. It keeps 'Loading' or 'synchronising' or I don't know what it's called in english.
That little circle keeps running and nothing happens.
I am quite annoyed with this. Because I don't know what the problem is. Also I don't see the problem.. There is a CD, and a computer. It should just work correctly.
Also if needed: I am running WIndows XP - and have the Nokia N97 for the ones that missed it .
If you know something that can help me, please let me know.
I will be looking forward to a reply.
RegardsHi, I cant decipher if its a problem with Windows settings or the program itself since I can understand the language in the picture, could you provide translations? Also could you try to download the ovi installer from the net instead of the one on the CD?

Whenever i want to update my devise software.i sing in nokia ovi suit but it says the user name or passsword was incorrect or says could not connect to server.Even i had a hig speed internet.
WHAT CAN I DO PLEASE HELPTry again... Sometimes the Server have problem and thats why the error message...

Nokia Ovi suite for windows 7 (32bit)
Cant install Nokia ovi suite for E5 phone in my Laptop (windows 7, 32 bt) each time it shows the following error type win 32. the massage is attached herewith. I also tried to install Nokia_Ovi_Suite_webinstaller_ALL.exe downloaded from the web for several times, it did't work
Is there any body to help me ?

Connect your phone via USB Cable, select "PC Suite" mode on phone when it prompts.
Wait for "Support Softwares" to install, (you might need to accept installation on phone screen), When Ovi suite tells you, its now connected.
On right side you'll see connect to internet, click that, First time it'll ask for settings, (Select your operator and Country) click ok.
Now every time you just need to connect it to PC, in "PC Suite" Mode, open ovi suite, and hit "Connect to internet".
P.S it could be very expensive, if you don't have Data Plan,

Help with Nokia Ovi Suite - Phone Space Problem
Hello. I need some help. I have a smart phone Nokia 5530 XpressMusic. Well, the problem is, when i connect my phone to the Nokia Ovi Suite, and try to get some themes on my phone, i can't, because it says, that i don't have enough space on my phone. And when i check memory on my phone it shows: Left space: 2,5 mb And on memory card it says: Left: 2,5 gb. Why can't i then download anything on my phone anymore? Please help.
P.S.: Themes are not too big, they're only about 1 or 2 mb.
Using Nokia 5530 XpressMusicThe problem is the lack of free space in your phone memory. Even though the memory card has plenty of free space - some content require still space in the phone's internal memory. And in many cases it requires more space than the actual file (if the file is decompressed in the device, it takes easily twice the size of the original package).
Freeing space in the device's internal memory should help. -

For Nokia Ovi Suite:
Go to Control Panel--> Right click and Programs and Features or add/remove programs "Repair" Nokia Ovi Suite.
Go to
Control Panel--> Programs and Features or add/remove programs - > Right click and "Repair" Nokia Connectivity cable driver & PC Connectivity solution.
If it does not help:
Uninstall the following Programs,from Control Panel -> Programs and Features or Add or Remove Programs.
Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver
Nokia Ovi Suite
PC Connectivity Solution
Later download and install the latest OVi Suite from the Nokia.com/support.
After OVi Suite installation, restart your PC, disconnect your internet from PC and connect your mobile to the PC. This is to prevent the PC searching for a new drivers from internet. OVi suite has all the required drivers for all the nokia phones available in market.
Once all the required drivers are installed automatically, you try connecting the mobile by selecting 'Connect your device' from the bottom left on the OVi suite screen. You should be able to connect your device now.

Nokia Ovi Suite 2.2.1.23 Problem
I am trying to syn my music using the ovi suite with my nokia N8 and every time i press sync it says Operation failed could not copy tracks. then it tells me to reconnect the usb cable or do it by bluetooth so i replugged my usb and restarted and it still didnt work. how can i fix this? thanks
Hi, the easiest way to sort music on your phone is to run music through WMP , find album info and add album art. Then simply Drag and drop it to the phone onto E or F, sycing is slow and a pain !
You can use WMP to sync also and there is a newer version of Ovi Suite available

Danger Nokia OVI Suite ... problem with Lotus !!!

I am experiencing the exact same problem with OVI Suite shutting down when I connect my Nokia N8. This is very frustrating considering the original post was done 4 months ago and to date there does not seem to be any resolution.
I am runnig Nokia OVI Suite 3.0.0.290 on Windows 7 Professional with N8 Device Software 0.13.016 installed and have uninstalled and re-installed OVI Suite as well as run RegCure from ParetoLogic to see if it is a DLL conflict but there are none reported.
