Nokia pc suite -- bluetooth

i am using the latest verion of BlueSoleil (5.0.5.178) and Nokia PC Suite 6.85.14.1 with my 7500 Prism.
My Nokia connection manager sees 2 types of bluetooths, Microsoft and IVT BlueSolei so the selected one is the IVT BlueSolei and it works, the phone is detected but when i click on file transfer or store images it says 'Could not connect to the phone'.
Now that is interesting because the Syncronize feature works.. it connects, syncs and its all fine and dandy. But i want the filetransfer and other features too.
In my Nokia PC Suite help -- information ... in Detected Bluetooth stacks i see only Microsoft.. (and not IVT BlueSolei)
i think this is the problem... is there a way to solve this ?

It tells you it could not connect to the phone because the com port assign to bluetooth that it should use is use by another the sync(active sync of Microsoft always uses its driver)! Its a bug on the driver.

  • Bluetooth no longer works after Nokia PC Suite Upd...

I am afraid I have a problem. I have a Nokia 6085 and Nokia PC Suite on my computer that worked just great until I updated now the Bluetooth is no longer available so I can't connect to my phone.
    Phone - Nokia 6085
Computer - Windows XP SP3 Notebook
Bluetooth Stack - Windows (Version: 5.1.2600, Build: 5512)
    PC Suite - Version 7.1.40.1

Greetings to all as this is my first post here.
I faced today the same problem with my N95 and the latest PC Suite update (7.1.40.1.).
After checking that my BT earpiece works OK and also no problems with a USB cable between my laptop and the N95, I suspected immediately the update version.
I downloaded an earlier version from : http://download.cnet.com/Nokia-PC-Suite/3000-10440_4-10598525.html and after installing this PC Suite 7.1.30.9 version, the BT worked again flawlessly as before.

As given in the Help section..
Before connecting your device via Bluetooth, note the following:
You need to have Bluetooth hardware and software installed on your computer. For a list of the Bluetooth software versions that are supported by Nokia Ovi Suite, see System requirements. To check which Bluetooth stack versions are installed on your computer, click Help > About Nokia Ovi Suite > System information.
Enable Bluetooth wireless technology on your computer.
Edit the Bluetooth settings of your mobile device. To do this, go to Settings > Connectivity or Connection depending on the term used on your device. Turn Bluetooth on and make your device visible to other Bluetooth devices. Then other Bluetooth devices, such as your computer, are allowed to find your mobile device, and can start connecting to it. Refer to the user guide of your device for more detailed instructions.
    Troubleshooting Bluetooth connections
Bluetooth is not available for you to select In the list of connection types, the Bluetooth option can in some cases be disabled. Should this happen, the reason might be one of the following:
You do not have appropriate Bluetooth hardware or software installed on your computer. To check which Bluetooth stack versions are installed on your computer, click Help > About Nokia Ovi Suite > System information. For a list of the Bluetooth software versions that are supported by Nokia Ovi Suite, see System requirements.
The Bluetooth software on your computer has been disabled.
Check these and make the necessary corrections before you try to connect your device via Bluetooth again.
Your mobile device is not found
If your device is not shown on the list of Bluetooth devices found, the reason might be one of the following:
You have not turned Bluetooth on in the Bluetooth settings of your device.
You have not made your device visible to other Bluetooth devices.
To edit the Bluetooth settings of your device, go to Settings > Connectivity or Connection depending on the term used on your device. Turn Bluetooth on and make your device visible to other Bluetooth devices. Then click Search again.

  • Nokia N8 will not bluetooth with Nokia PC suite

I have a new laptop running Windows 8.1 and installed the new Nokia PC suite.  Even tho the laptop and phone can be connected via bluetooth the PC suite does not recognize the N8.  It used to connect no problem when using the old OVI suite.  It will connect using a cable but I want to use bluetooth to transfer photos.
Can anyone suggest a way to connect these two via bluetooth please?
By the way the way I think the interface of the new PC suite is not as good as the OVI suite.

Yes, that’s it. Why do you ask?
You do not have the latest software components. This might be the cause; let us double-check:
    Nokia Connectivity/Cable Driver 7.1.182
    Nokia Suite 3.8.48
    PC Suite 7.1.180.94 (optional)
You do not have to uninstall anything, nor follow any particular order. Your versions of these software components are detected automatically and updated if need. However, if you follow the above order, you avoid install-uninstall-install for many components. In WIndows 8.1, the (optional) PC Suite installation must be excuted via a right-click » Windows 7 compatibility.
Did that help? If not, we need that System information again.

  • 6280- bluetooth videos to pc- nokia pc suite

I have sent a couple of videos from my phone, to my pc, via bluetooth. I tried opening them- no luck. I tried to open them using Nokia PC suite. They still wont open. I get and error message saying 'The content format of the opened file is not supported'. They are 3gp files...just little videos I have recorded my self on my nokia 6280 which are then not supported by Nokia PC Suite. There is also no option (that I can see) to change the format (tried looking under file, save as!)
    Any ideas people???
    XXX

In actual fact I had this problem a couple of days ago, it seems as if the files transferred over from phone to PC (be it via cable or bluetooth) cannot be played on a PC...
    Has anyone successfully done this?
My video clip was approx 6MB and doesn't play with PC Suite, Media Player, Real Player, Quck Time or WinAmp.

  • Nokia Suite won't find Nokia 5610 on bluetooth

Hello, I recently upgraded from Nokia Ovi Suite to Nokia Suite and after I did that, Nokia Suite won't find my 5610 by bluetooth. I tried uninstall and reinstall Nokia Suite but no results. I noticed however that Nokia 5610 has been removed from the compatibility list with Nokia Suite. Does this mean 5610 won't work with Nokia Suite? I've also updated my bluetooth drivers but no effect.
    Regards

    Hi tokenize,
Very much welcome to the Nokia Discussions Forum! Download Nokia PC suite and try the connection with that.
You can also take a look at this page and see if downloading bluetooth drivers from there helps. 5610 has indeed been removed from Nokia Suite compatibility list.
Hope you're able to connect your to the PC now.

  • PC Suite & Nokia Ovi Suite via Bluetooth on Nokia ...

I had a tough time in getting the Nokia N8 in sync with the latest Nokia PC Suite which will recognise the N8 (version 7.1.40.9) together with the Nokia Ovi Suite through bluetooth. It was a nightmare! I don't use to have any troubles in connecting any Nokia phones via bluetooth but I do have a problem with the N8.
After searching through various forums and blogs, I have come to a conclusion. There is a workaround the problem when it pertains to the Nokia PC Suite. I rarely use the Nokia Ovi Suite because the Ovi Suite would not allow me to sync calender items for more than 6 weeks. With the Nokia PC Suite, it will allow a user to sync any items for 99 years! Can you believe it? However, not all are lost. The Ovi Suite is better in terms of installing updated maps on the N8 though. You would not be able to do so on the Nokia PC Suite.
When it comes to synchronising your N8 with your PC Suite/ Ovi Suite via bluetooth, you need to take care. The steps will be as follows:
    (1) Install the latest Nokia Ovi Suite and or PC Suite Suite version 7.1.40.9.
    (2) Don't run Ovi/Nokia PC Suite. If they are running on the taskbar, right click to exit all of them.
    (3) Enable bluetooth on your N8 and then right click on the bluetooth devices icon at the bottom right of your laptop.
    (4) Once you have right clicked on the bluetooth devices icon, select 'add devices'.
    (5) Follow the prompts on your N8 and also on your laptop/pc.
    (6) Please make sure that your N8's bluetooth is on 'discoverable'. Otherwise your laptop/pc will not be able to pick up the signal.
    (7) Follow the instructions given and then reboot your laptop/pc.
After that, you would need to fire up your PC Suite or Ovi Suite but not both at the same time. Use PC Suite to sync your contacts/messages/calenders while use the Ovi Suite to install and update your map on your Nokia devices.
    Good luck!
Please THANK me by clicking on the ****WHITE STAR** ( Giving KUDOS) the big GREEN BOX to your LEFT .
It will help me to serve you better !!!!!
    Thanking You

Pls help. I'm able to connect my N8 to my laptop's win7 home premium but not to OVI suite or PC Suite.
They get connected with N8 over cable but not over bluetooth. PC Suite says "Can not authenticate the phone" and ovi suite keeps checking the "Phone's bluetooth capabilities".
    Kindly help.

  • Nokia PC suite can't detect system bluetooth

Please am having issues with my NOKIA PC suite not being able to detect my laptop bluetooth. Have virtually try everything from bluetooth services set to automatic and others!! My system is HP 620 with motorola bluetooth stack Any one with same problem? Please HELP!!!

i'm having the same problem and did an array of possible solutions but they alll just make me a lil more frustrated every time. did uninstall the reinstall many times, tried repair, downloaded the latest version of the pc suite and cable driver, downloaded nokia software updater but halfway through it says it's unable to find the device. i don't know how to change usb modes because it's asking me to select default mode but where do i get to do that? i was told by someone from nokia that i should be getting a notification that would prompt me to choose a connection mode but didn't see anything. as soon as i click settings>>manage connectons, what appears is a troubleshooter telling me how to fix infrared connectivity issues. i'm not using infrared but cable connection. and the other window that pops up shows there is no available connection. i have neve been able to get past that error. i checked device manager, everything is working just fine there. i have just fixed the question mark. if the pc is recognizing the cable connected to it, why can't it detect the phone? and it's not even about the password because i always make sure to unlock the phone when connecting to the pc. WINLOGON is already EXPLORER.EXE. i don't know what else could be wrong. this was doing just fine before. we have reinstalled OS many times before due to a different pc problem and i can't really pinpoint the exact cause of this error. will anyone care to help please? also, i tried the link provided but it gets me nowher. =-(

  • Nokia 6230 PC Suite Bluetooth Problem

Hello, i need a help with my mobile....
    I am using:
    Windows XP SP 2
    PC Suite 6.7
    Nokia 6230
    CNet Bluetooth USB Dongle
My pc can see the phone but when i tried to connect it said that cannot authorizate, but i see that when it tried to connect... the windows XP saw the phone and make a connection with the phone to share internet.
    Please Help me...
Sorry if a wrote something wrong, i don't speak english. I speak spanish.
    Thanks.

Problem just solved. I installed Microsoft Windows XP Home Edition SP2 operating system and now it works perfectly, so the problem was just that the performance edition operating system caused the drivers not installing properly. But now I have another kind of a problem. I am using the N96 as a modem for Internet. I can only get a speed of approx 45kb/s, while I have got almost 110kb/s with another computer using the same cable. Is it caused because of the USBv1.1 slow USB version? But shouldn't it still be able to do better than 45kb/s, while it transfers files with OK speeds? When I use the Bluetoothv1 USB Dongle, it works with about the same speed but only when using the performance edition, not when using the home original OS. When using home edition OS it works about 5kb/s, but it could have been just temporary. But my main question is, still, that how could I get the speed faster? I have installed the windows KBxxxxxxx patch, but still it works pretty slow, just about half of the speed it is supposed to work.

  • Nokia PC Suite won't recognise Widcomm Bluetooth s...

    Hi All.
This is my first attempt at installing and using Nokia PC Suite to synch a new 6103 mobile with MS Outlook via an existing, and well proven, Bluetooth connection. And guess what... straight out the box it doesn't work!
I'm using an MSI PC2PC USB Bluetooth dongle with Widcomm ver 1.3.2.7 drivers (btwdndis.sys). PC Suite connection manager shows only USB or direct cable connections available and Help About displays, "NO SUPPORTED BLUETOOTH STACK FOUND". However, I'm able to PAIR the 6103 with the dongle via the MSI Explorer suite via COM4 from my PC (COM1 from the 6103). Have also used the Bluetooth set-up successfully with an Ericsson T68 and Ericsson's XTND Sync suite for years without much problem.
Nokia: please explain why you're products are unable to support this set-up, while Ericsson's can, and what is need to rectify. The plan is\was to dump the Ericsson set-up once the Nokia's working.
Also, why am I only able to select COM1, COM2 OR COM3 within Nokia PC suite? If I could select COM4, the Bluetooth successfully paired connection, I could possibly use that as a solution? I assume Nokia PC Suite doesn't need to recognise the Bluetooth stack in order to see COM ports?
    All version details below;

  • Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after Nokia PC Suite installation

I've got the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth had worked pretty well before I installed Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (the newest version 7.1.26.0 from website).
To be correct, at first I even managed to maintain a Bluetooth connection between PC and Nokia and ran syncronisation of contacts. I made several attempts but each time syncronisation run ended with message "PC coudn't get answer from your Nokia".
After rebooting, my PC went crazy and started issuing message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time I ask it to close.
Installation of new version of BT Stack (6.40) didn't fix this error.
    Please help

    Hi there
I answered an existing thread with the same problem, but no-one can help apparently.
Anyway,,, I can at least help you with getting rid of the looping setup. You need to rename the directory with the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I also have Nokia syncing and it worked fine until recently. - I have to say I think the problem relates to a Windows auto upgrade.
How to solve this is a different matter. At this moment I have given up. The Toshiba bluetooth stack disabled.

  • 6280, 6230 and Nokia PC Suite - no calendat sync

I am using version 6.81.13.0 of PC Suite on a late-model Dell 9300 notebook. I connect using a Nokia CA-53 USB cable supplied with my 6280 phone. The PC is running Windows XP Professional SP2 with all available Microsoft patches.
Until recently, I was using a Nokia 6230 phone and an older version of PC Suite. The calendar was sent from the PC to the phone with no problem at all, and I could always refer to my phone to check my calendar. This connection used Bluetooth.
When my new 6280 arrived, I loaded the PC Suite software from the 6280 CD. The software immediately demanded an update from the Nokia website, which I downloaded and installed. After a couple of successful bluetooth connections, suddenly neither phone would sync with Outlook.
Very soon after that, no Bluetooth connection would work at all, and I resorted to the USB cable. With the USB cable, the phones communicate with the Sync software, but no data is sent to either phone. I have removed the software, used the Nokia PC Suite Cleaner, reinstalled, created new profiles and tried every single option, but the system simply will not sync.
Can anyone help? By upgrading my phone, I have lost my sync facility altogether.
Here's the system info from PC Suite:
    Operating system:
    Microsoft Windows XP
    Build 2600
    Service Pack 2

Language for non-Unicode programs: English (United States)

    Microsoft Bluetooth stack
    Version 5.1.2600.2180
    WIDCOMM Bluetooth stack
    Version 4.0.1
    Build 2401

The difficulties people with XP SP 2 (with Microsoft Bluetooth) and any other Bluetooth(like Widcomm) are having, is really sad.
YOu can try to run arepair to PC Suite and Nokia Connecitivty solution from add/remove programs and see if that helps.
Also check that is the Bluetooth software you are using (I cannot tell by looking at your list), is working with the phone.
    Last resort:
I can only suggest that you start from scrach, uninstall the widcomm, Pc Suite and Connectivity solution, run Pc suite cleaner and reinstall PC Suite(includes the connectivity solution).
