  • Nokia PC Suit

For almost 2 month I'm trying to Install Nokia PC Suit ver. 6.85 on my IBM ThinkPad Laptop, and I'm always recieving the same note which iterupped the Installation:
This version of PC-Connectivity Solution canot be used with the currently installed version of (3). Update or uninstall (3)before trying ti install PC Connectivity again.
And at this point the installation is stopped.
I've tried almost anything including: Registry cleaning by Nokia cleaner, by Microsoft cleaner amd also manual registry cleaning by me, and still couldn't solve the problem.
My Phone model is Nokia 6120 Classic.
Please, if someone knows how to solve this problem then help me.
    Thanks

you can try the earlier stable version v6.83. (do a search on nokia official site to find the old download link.)

  • Arabic Language for Nokia 808 PureView US version

    Hi guys,
I got my new Nokia 808 PureView (US version) from amazon.com. I want to add Arabic language to it. Is there any way to do it?
    Thanks,

Yes there is. You will need to visit your local Nokia Care point and they will add the Arabic language pack to your phone. Be advised that the language pack will be removed in the event that you update the phone or perform a full factory reset.
Only Nokia Care can add the language packs because there is special software needed which only they legally possess.

  • PC suit ver. 7 video converter problem w/ Nokia N8...

Recently I have upgraded my PC suit software from ver. 6.84.10.3 to PC suit ver.7. My PC has dual-core processor and OS is windows xp, service pact 2. My cell phone is Nokia N80ie (with firmware ver. 5.0719.0.2). When I converted my video clip of the format wmv, avi or any other format it converted to Mp4 format and copied to my cellphone's the gallary. But when I played the video clip in my cell phone the error message " Unable to play either sound or video clip, Trying to play partially" displayed in LCD and later, only sound of the clip is played. But when Nokia N73 is connected in my PC with the same PC suit ver 7 and the same video clip is converted into Mp4 format and transfered to N73, the video clip is played clearly in N73 with visual and sound. Secondly, when the video clip mp4 format is transfered from N73 to N80ie via bluetooth, the mp4 format can be played in N80ie with visual and sound. Therefore I cannot get why, when the video clip is converted directly with PC suit 7 via my PC to my cell phone Nokia N80ie it won't play the video clip?... Plz help me if anybody has any ideas. OR PC suit 7 is not compatible with N80ie?...

I dont have any idea if Nokia has some conversion tools to convert its mp4 into 3gps, so you have to rely on some 3rd party applications to do this ( to convert mp4 files to 3gp) and transfer this file into your phone and view it... Googling for 3rd party applications will help for your solution. I know this is not exact solution to your problem, but still i dont know if Nokia has some software for your solution

Many Many thanks for your reply. Now I again reversed back to my old PC suit software 6.84.10.3. Now I can play the converted mp4 format video clips in my Nokia N80ie by PC suit software 6.84.10.3. It is the best to use xillo soft third party software to convert any video clips in mp4 to play in N80ie. The visual quality is excellent.
    Anyway thanks for your help.

  • Nokia 6630 - Nokia PC Suite Support Update

Hi to everyone out there to help me,
Few weeks ago, I updated my phone software and after that, I found out that I could view old messages and send new ones from my pc. I loved that feature, but didn't use it often. As I wanted to use it again today, I couldn't... I can view my contacts, calender entries, but cannot view my messages. I can send new ones though...
An error occurs as I connect my phone to my pc (via cable), which I had beforehand too I guess. It's not English, so I will translate it myself:
    "Nokia PC Suite
In order to make your phone support new features, the PC Suite support on your phone has to be updated.
Would you like to update the PC Suite support on your cell phone (Nokia 6630)?"
    - I click on the green tick.
A quick dissapearing window pops up... It's hard to tell what appears even on my own language xD:
    "Installing...
Accept all upcoming approvals on your phone"
Then in 1-2 seconds the message changes into:
     "PC Suite support installation failed"
    - I click on the green tick, the only option.
Well, as I said before, besides that I am unsure, this problem existed beforehand, and I could view my messages even like that.
I tried repairing the Nokia PC Suite, after I send this message I will uninstall and install it once... I will update the situation...

Update (as of date above): 5.03.08

    Connection via Nokia DKU-2 USB
I have exactly same problem as you described:
    PC Suite (7.1.51.0)
    message box displays:
The PC Suite support installed on your phone must be updatedto support new features.
Do you want to udpadte PC Suite support on your cell phone (Nokia 6630)?

As this goes on a banner momentarilydisplays on the phone, it is an Icon and the name "INSTALLER"
    this  happens twice
    then finally,
    PC Suite support instalation failed
    On the phone i see:
       Tools->Manager-->
            (App. Manager)
             PC_Suite_Sup (70kb)
             Version 1.7.0
On its status, it says it is NOT INSTALLED
So I select the option to install it but when I view the details again its status still says NOT INSTALLED.
I go on and Select REMOVE and it is dutifully removed from the list.
I coldboot the phone and upon verifying that it is not on the app manager list. I restart PC Suite and go through the procedures above (Install PC Suite support) and again it ends up with pc suite installation failed.
Checking on the appmanager, it reappears on the list. but it is NOT INSTALLED as per its status.
I'm thinking perhaps if there was an app (PC SUITE SUPPORT) i can download and install via PC SUite then perhaps that would solve the problem, but I've grown weary (leary?) of trawling Nokia's site(s) for it as I've ended up with zilch thus far.
Any one out there that can help? Someone from Nokia would be nice ...
Ihope i get notification of replies ...

You can try the instructions in the two posts below (the ones that involve going into the registry) to see if this fixes your problem, but be VERY CAREFUL. If you make a mistake you won't be able to start your computer successfully anymore.
No offence, but if you don't feel confident enough, then don't do this !
You can read here for more information on a more indepth way on how to reinstall PC Suite, but please read each thread completely before proceeding.

  • Issue with Nokia Ovi Suite!

hi! i have upgraded from nokia 6230i (i used for 6 years) to E7. i have certain problems.
To sync my contacts, photos, calander entries, messages, i had downloaded nokia ovi suite on my PC (Laptop Dell Latitude E6400) and then conected my device via USB. my device showed up on the suite and started charging and i was able to sync every thing. i did this 4 to 5 times. however now when i connect my device to my PC my device does not show up in the ovi suite but my device shows Nokia Ovi Suite- Active! i have not been able to sync via USB since. whenever i connect my device via USB to my PC a dialog box appears on my PC and shows USB device not recognised. i have tried every thing from enabling the device through Device Managar, installing drivers, uninstalling the device, reinstalling the device but the same dialog box appears again when i connect via USB. I am able to sync via Bluetooth my device shows in the Ovi suite but downloading apps, games, songs, software updates etc., cant be done.  Also for charging the device when i connect the charges it takes 4-5 times to show the charging info! and thereafter the device starts charging. I thought there might be a problem with the USB cable but it works fine with my friend's Nokia X2. i have checked the USB ports on my PC but they are also working fine with other things like USB mouse, Modem etc. I know my last resort is to visit customer care. but if any body can help me i will be realy greatful. I have the latest software version of Nokia Ovi Suite on my PC and also my device.

    Hi,
I have the same problem running Vista and Ovi ver. 3.0.0.290. I ran through your steps but no change. It's a brand new N8 and the phone will not show as a New Device via the USB connection. Although configured to start when connecting the phone via USB, Ovi will not start so I assume the connection is not established between Ovi and the phone. My laptop sees the phone just fine and files can be transfered vie Explorer. Any other ideas? Much appreciated.
    Thank you in advance!

    Could you please try this?
    1. Make Sure all Windows Update are run.
    2. Run the following MSI packages
    "c:\Users\AllUsers\NokiaInstallerCache\PackageCache\{6D3245B1-8DB8-4A23-9CD2-2C90F40ABAF6}\Setup\VC80_x86_v2.msi"

    3. These packages should be installed successfully
    4. After this a repair of NOS is required from Add/Remove or Program and Features in Control Panel. Select NOS and click remove/uninstall then click the repair button. After this the customer can try to sync.
    Step 2
    1. Follow step 2, if step 1 has failed.
    2. Unistall the following from Add/Remove 0r Programs & Features
    a) NoKia Ovi Suite
    b) PC Connectivity Solution

    b) msiexec /x {AF111648-99A1-453E-81DD-80DBBF6DAD0D}
    4. You will receive a prompt to uninstall this product. Select Yes.

  • Nokia PC Suite won't recognise Widcomm Bluetooth s...

    Hi All.
This is my first attempt at installing and using Nokia PC Suite to synch a new 6103 mobile with MS Outlook via an existing, and well proven, Bluetooth connection. And guess what... straight out the box it doesn't work!
I'm using an MSI PC2PC USB Bluetooth dongle with Widcomm ver 1.3.2.7 drivers (btwdndis.sys). PC Suite connection manager shows only USB or direct cable connections available and Help About displays, "NO SUPPORTED BLUETOOTH STACK FOUND". However, I'm able to PAIR the 6103 with the dongle via the MSI Explorer suite via COM4 from my PC (COM1 from the 6103). Have also used the Bluetooth set-up successfully with an Ericsson T68 and Ericsson's XTND Sync suite for years without much problem.
Nokia: please explain why you're products are unable to support this set-up, while Ericsson's can, and what is need to rectify. The plan is\was to dump the Ericsson set-up once the Nokia's working.
Also, why am I only able to select COM1, COM2 OR COM3 within Nokia PC suite? If I could select COM4, the Bluetooth successfully paired connection, I could possibly use that as a solution? I assume Nokia PC Suite doesn't need to recognise the Bluetooth stack in order to see COM ports?
    All version details below;

  • Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your devi...

5 months has passed and many hours on the phone to Nokia. The phone has been completely reset /reboot by Nokia time and time again and still the phone gets this message when trying to update software..."Nokia Ovi Suite has lost connection with your device"....We were optimistic that the software upgrade would solve the other problems we are having with all the Nokia phones at work. They are all E52's

Having the same issue currently with an E72 software version is 054.005.266.02 and Ovi Suite 3.1.1.80
Actually I had connection lost all the time with all previous versions of Ovi Suite too... it has never been reliable.
Using original Nokia USB cable, connected securely. Tried different PCs, different USB ports, same issue.
Just now I'm trying software update and it looses connection during the backup process all the time... very disappointing. Screenshot attached if anybody is interested.

    Troubleshooting so far:
    ===============================================================
Uninstall Ovi and re-download from Nokia web. Reinstalled Ovi Suite but that didn't work.
I then uninstalled all Ovi and all Nokia related software, cleaned Registry and reinstall Ovi Suite: Failed to fix.
Then I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 which worked just fine with 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006). I had no problems making backups or to synchronize.

    How to solve this problem?

    LOL
I just tried Nokia Ovi Suite again to copy the full error report that it sends to Microsoft.... lo and behold it started to work again?????

This I did before I tried

Then I installed Nokia PC Suite 7.1.40.1 which worked just fine with 5800 XM (RM-356 V. 51.0.006). I had no problems making backups or to synchronize with Nokia PC Suite.
Made a complete backup on my phone.
Installed Nokia Software Updater and I reinstall the latest FW 51.0.006 to my phone.
Then I organized my content for a few minutes.
Shut down Nokia PC Suite and Nokia Software Updater.
    Started up Nokia Ovi Suite.
Connected my phone and clicked on PC-Suite on the options.
    It now works again????
Something happened when I installed PC Suite that enabled me to use my Nokia 5800 with Ovi Suite again.

  • Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after Nokia PC Suite installation

I've got the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth had worked pretty well before I installed Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (the newest version 7.1.26.0 from website).
To be correct, at first I even managed to maintain a Bluetooth connection between PC and Nokia and ran syncronisation of contacts. I made several attempts but each time syncronisation run ended with message "PC coudn't get answer from your Nokia".
After rebooting, my PC went crazy and started issuing message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time I ask it to close.
Installation of new version of BT Stack (6.40) didn't fix this error.
    Please help

    Hi there
I answered an existing thread with the same problem, but no-one can help apparently.
Anyway,,, I can at least help you with getting rid of the looping setup. You need to rename the directory with the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I also have Nokia syncing and it worked fine until recently. - I have to say I think the problem relates to a Windows auto upgrade.
How to solve this is a different matter. At this moment I have given up. The Toshiba bluetooth stack disabled.
