  • Adobe Reader None of the version supports Indian Language Hindi

    Hi,
Can anybody tell me when Adobe Reader will support Indian Language Hindi?
    The problem in detail as:
I can save MS Word 2013 file as PDF or I convert some of the report to PDf. It is perfect. But when I want to copy paste the same pdf data to MS Word or Notepad or any other editable application then data gets lost. All Garbage data is getting pasted. PDF do not retain Indian Language data like other Languages (English, Japanese, Chinese, etc.).
I am waiting for Adobe to solve this problem from the year 2006.
    Please help.
    Regards,
    Sitaram Gaikwad

    More info.
I just created a Word document that had very simple sample text in davanagari (क ख ग घ ङ च छ ज) and uses the correctly set up fonts Arial Unicode MS and Mangal. Printed to Adobe PDF printer.
These are displayed correctly in Acrobat X.
They copy back to Word exactly as their original characters.
However, I have not tested with diacritics or ligatures. I can well imagine these do not travel well.

  • About windows 10 supporting indian regional languages. especially on phones.

I'm presently using lumia series phone which has windows 8.1. And does not support many indian languages. But the pc version of windows 8.1 supports the aforesaid. Hence the windows 10 is universal OS across devices, will that support indian languages
on all those devices?? Moreover, i'm requesting you to develop a typing software for indian languages as like as google input tools.

    Hi,
Since Windows 10 final edition is not released, it's hard to say if Windows 10 or Windows Phone10 support Indian language. However, if you have any suggestion with Windows new product, you can post your suggestion by using Windows Feedback in Windows 10.

  • InDesign Unicode support to Indian Languages

Now a days, most of the applications are supporting Unicode Indian Languages. But till today Adobe is not fully supporting this. The hyphen part is not there, some of the characters can not be typed directly, some conjuncts character do not form ... We tried to use the "Adobe World-ready single-line composer" in Paragraph style - Justification, using scripts. This is not documented any where in Adobe! It is high time that Adobe should support Indian language unicode in their applications. Many of the other application are only supporting Unicode. So please take up this as urgent one.

Try IndicPlus from MetaDesign Solutions. This is an Indian Company and may be able to help you. They had developed a composer in InDesign which they used to ship for InDesign CS2 and CS3 and then abanodoned development on it when Adobe Released World Ready Composer. IndicPlus shipped for CS4 and CS5 is now based on World Ready Composer but still thay are maintaining IndicPlus for CS2 and CS3 based on their in-house developed composer.
You can talk to them and check if they are willing to extend their previous composer and resolve some of the issues related to Indian Typography.

Being one of the finest business device manufacturers, why RIM is not supporting Indian languages? I can view websites using OperaMini (as image). Still, the mails which I receive in Indian languages appear as blocks! It is so sad that RIM is not at all considering Indian community, may the one of the largest consumer community in the whole word..

  • Indian languages support for Nokia 701

How to read different Indian languages in Nokia 701, egg like Hindi or Malayalam etc. Especially in Social or other multimedia's. Now it comes as boxes. Do we need to download any software application from nokia or third party.

Feature phones like Nokia 2700, C3 00 etc can show all Indian languages including Kannada, Telugu, Hindi, etc even though with no support for typing all languages.
Nokia 701 being a smartphone, when it was released was not supporting even Hindi language, later after software update phone supported Hindi.
It would be better to support all India languages like as feature phones does. It is cool to read news websites in our native language.
Please provide this feature in fp2.

  • Native Indian language support for Asha 501

    Hi,
Can you please let me know the list of native Indian languages supported in Nokia Asha 501? Also, can I store the phone contacts in a native language? I'm more interested in knowing the list of mobiles from Nokia that support the Indian language Telugu.
    Thanks,
    Imtiaz.

Here, Telugu works for both the menu, for contacts, and for keyboard.
The Nokia 501 is based on a new operating system, called new Asha software platform. Previous platforms were Nokia Series 40 and Symbian/S60.
Nokia Series 40 supports Telugu as well, however, you need a firmware variant (certain product code) which includes this language. Therefore it does not make sense to post models. You need the correct product code in your device. Anyway, here is a list of phones with Series 40 and Wi-Fi …
With Symbian/S60, I have not seen any product code for Telugu.
With a Windows Phone like the Nokia Lumia 510 you would be off much better, because there, you can add languages easily via the phone menu (if you have Internet access). However, Telugu is neither supported in the menu nor as keyboard. (or I am too stupid to find it).

  • Does a multiple language supported Windows Phone 8 Application support Bengali Language (Bangladeshi language)?

    Hello,
I am developing  a Windows Phone 8 application (for Nokia/ Microsoft Lumia) where multiple languages will be supported. Now, it is needed to support Bengali (Bangladeshi language) in my Windows phone 8 application.
But, I didn't find Bengali language in the Setting -> Language -> phone Language. So could anyone tell me that a multiple language supported windows phone 8 application support Bengali language or not. If it is possible, then how user will change
the app language from phone setting?
FYI .. From Microsoft OEM documentation, I have known that Windows Phone 8.1 GDR2 includes support for Bangla (Bangladesh language).
    Thanks

    Hi NONAME-2007,
As far as I known the Bangla language is supported as a on-screen keyboard language on the Windows Phone 8. But it is not supported as a display language in Windows Phone 8, so you can not choose this language from the phone setting. For more information,
please try to refer to the following article:

  • RTL & Indian Language Support for Indesign CS6 Mac

    Hi,
I am using Adobe Indesign CS6 Mac version and need support to using Arabic and Indian Language Support. I am not able to write this language. When I am pasting from Word or anywhere text is going cracked.
I also learn to enable language support from Character setting but I can't find Kashidas option on my Indesign.
It will be very helpful if some one support how to enable this option or download.
    Best Regards,
    Rakesh

That's because Larry is correct, and Ellis is correct about you needing to take Larry's advice if you don't have the World-Ready Composer in your menu. You need something like the World Tools plugin from InTools to access the complex-script tools not available in the menus in your install of CS6.
(Or you could employ Ellis' other suggestion and move to the Cloud. But World Tools is rather less expensive in the long term.)

  • Nokia Phones quality and support

We have 60+ Nokia phones C, E , N series. The quality of phones and quality of support drops down in past 2 years significantly. I will not buy those devices anymore... Looks like Nokia company would like to go into bancrupcy with that style of work. Congratulation to Nokia management.... Good job

support provided at local nokia care centres has always been questionable. Now since the launch of their C and X series the quality of the products has also dropped to low.Esp with S60V5 phones.

  • Nokia 3G phone supporting bluetooth modem

I'm looking to get a Nokia phone that can act as a Bluetooth modem in Linux (from what I can see if it can act like a Bluetooth modem at all it should just work). What models support this? What spec should I look out for?
    Thanks

I don't use Linux so I can only give you half an answer.
However Nokia do not make drivers for Linux.
I use my handsets with Windows and for that application you really need to be looking for one that has HSDPA - High Speed Downlink Packet Access. This allows speeds ranging from 1.8mbps to 7.2mbps depending on your carrier networks capability.
You'll also need to be connected to a network that supports HSDPA.
The Nokia N95, N95 8Gb, N82, and 6220 Classic, and a few other handsets support HSDPA.
    Shunts...
I will mostly be communicating with a Nokia E72 Zodium Black
Nokia E72-1 with Vr 051.018.207.04 Software
If this post helped... Add some kudos!!

if your phone has an older BT firware, i dont think it will ever be updated, i have not seen nokia doing that, i doubt nokia will start doing that, just like S60...
I have not yet seen any nokia phones with BT 2.1 in fact the only nokia devices with BT 2.1 are 2 headsets that are not even released yet, the BH-103 Stereo HS and BH-703...
and any nokia phone having A2DP does not mean it will support BT 2.1 and/or be able to upgrade to it...

  • Nokia Cannot support its own phones with PCsuite!!

Is it my imagination or is it true that Nokia PC Suite cannot support Nokia Phones?!
I have a very simple question for Nokia:
I have an E90, each contact on my phonebook on the E90 has multiple numbers, a contact may have 2 mobile numbers, 3 business numbers, 2 home numbers, so unless Nokia considers it illegal for a person to have all these numbers, would it be so kind and let us know how to edit all these numbers using the PC Suite?!
Because if my eyesight serves me right, that blind PC suite cannot see all numbers! It's like it's a 3rd party product! Hell, even 3rd party products like Oxygen phone manager can do a much better job!
So for how long shall I keep holding my breath every time a new release of PC Suite shows up and it turns out to be a complete joke, just a layout change! No core difference!
    Thanks!
    Farouk

    No luck
I will give you an example:
I created a contact for Honda Company as follows:
    Tel.(Business)
    xxxxxxxxx
    Tel.(Business)
    xxxxxxxxx
    Tel.(Business)
    xxxxxxxxx
Service Appointment (this is a renamed label)
    xxxxxxxxx
    Service Center
    xxxxxxxxx
    Service Center 2
    xxxxxxxxx
When using the Nokia PCSuite 7, trust me I clicked all tabs everywhere in Simple and Advanced screen, all I see is only one number, the very first Tel.(Business) one, and it appears again in the advanced tabs, but I never get to see all those numbers with renamed labels! It's really frustrating, and thanks again for posting.
