"Nokia Photos" sync menu is disabled

Hi,
The syncronise menu (and the associated menu in tools) are disabled in my nokia photos. Any ideas why or how can I download my photos and sms into Photos application?
PC Suite and rest of the pc applications are working properly using both bluetooth and cable connection.
Software used:
Nokia Photos: 1.2.50
PC Suite: 7.0.7.0
O/S: Vista SP1
Phone: N80 v5.0719.0.2

Hmm... you are Lifeblog user, then I assume that you know that the phone must be connected by using the "PC Suite"-mode and you should have the Lifeblog sync settings enabled in your phone (which should be the case if you reseted to factory settings). Anyway, I know many users that runs Lifeblog (and Nokia Photos) without problems in vista, so you have still hope.
How did your Lifeblog got broken? I mean, will it crash or won't it just anymore recognize your phone? Have you tested with Nokia Phone browser (which is integrated into explorer) that you can copy files from/to phone (just to see that the connection is really working)? I would also like to know does your event viewer have any entries which source is Nokia Photos or Nokia M Platform?

  • Nokia Photos Sync From Date issue

My phone has been restored after a firmware update but Nokia Photos is only syncing info after the rebuild date not from the last sync date. How can I tell Nokia photos to sync from a date that I choose ?

    Hi cbw9,
Could you please tell me the device which you are using?

  • I'm getting the error message "Photos folder syncing has been disabled for the iPhone my iPhone because the folder "Pictures" cannot be found."

I'm getting the error message "Photos folder syncing has been disabled for the iPhone <my iPhone> because the folder "Pictures" cannot be found." lately.
Normally, all I do with photos is move them from my iPhone to my computer's (Windows 7) hard drive. I do this by connecting the iPhone with the cable, a box pops up on the screen asking me what I want to do, and I choose "Import pictures and videos". I've previously selected the "delete photos from the device after move" option (or however it's worded...), simply because I don't want this device to fill up with photos.
Lately, it has been importing the photos fine, but it won't delete them from the iPhone. This used to work just fine, now it doesn't work and I don't know what changed, if anything. In iTunes, I get the error message I list at the beginning of this message.
    How do I fix this?

    Hi there scarbo59,
You mentioned that you are still able to import without issues, but you may still want to run through the troubleshooting steps outlined in the article below.

When you launch iPhoto with the option key depressed you'll get this window:

  • Photo album in nokia belle - sync with picasa/fb

why nokia is not yet revealed its photo viewer in album mode viewing..
1000s of Photos loaded into my photos but can not segregate based on album view. !
Andriod is giving nice photo viewing experience...
Also there is no option in belle to sync with internet photos like picasa.. But android is having this facility and giving amazing experience for its users..
Could any one please let me know when will this feature come to belle or is there any external app applicable now ?

This is so ridiculous I can't believe I'm writing it. It's really nice to have a backup of your photos on your computer, but the one thing I was actually looking forward to being synced was my Albums and Tags. Neither of those get synced to Ovi Suite during Photo Sync. Even worse is that the albums you create within Ovi Suite don't get synced back to your device either. So all that organization that you did, doesn't even carry over to where you want to have it.
Nokia, you need to update Photos Sync so that (1) We can add tags to photos through the Suite and have those tags sync back to our device, as well as having tags on our phone sync back to the Suite. (2) Our albums we create on the device sync back to Ovi Suite and albums created in Ovi Suite get synced with the phone. With those two features added, and the addition of separate sync of photo and video, you have now made the Photos section perfect.

  • HT4236 itunes menu no photo sync

The PHOTO label un the sync menu in iTunes doesn´t appear any more, what happened? I want to sync new photos to my iminiIpad and can´t find the way to do it, can someone help. THX Jorge

Have you been able to sync photos to your iPad in the past from that computer's iTunes ?
The iPad should appear on the left-hand sidebar of your computer's iTunes (if you have iTunes 11, you can enable the sidebar via option-command-S on a Mac, control-S on a PC), and if you select it then on the right-hand side the last tab should be Photos - does that not appear ?

  • Neither Nokia Photos or OVI is syncing

    Hi,
I cannot sync from my N82. If I connect to Photos, it recognises my phone. I ask for a sync and it (almost) immediately flashes up "Synchronisation Cancelled". I have tried rebuilding the timeline and downloading the latest versions but neither has worked.
I also cannot get Ovi to sync. When I try to sync, no files are copied from the phone and the following Windows error appeared:

I have a problem with my N85 sycning photos to to my PC with Ovi/Nokia Photos. It was all working fine until I needed to get my facia replaced. In the process the care center did a factory reset and I lost all contacts / sms etc in my phone. At this time I updated the firmware to 20.175. Once I had restored all contacts etc from outlook I wanted to sync the new photos I had taken in the mean time to my PC via ovi suite. However, ovi could not see the new photos. On looking in the photo gallery on my N85 i could see that the old photos were no longer classified as captured, but simply appeared in the all images category. What I don't get is that Ovi will only try to sync the old photos and not the ones that have the status as captured.
    Anybody got any ideas?

    Hi,
I have the latest firmware on my nokia e75. But anyway it is not a problem of the phone, but a problem of nokia photos.
For example if from nokia communicatore center i drag and drop the long sms message on my desktop and i open it, the sms is shown correctly with its length.
Then if from desktop i drag and drop the message to nokia photos, the message is imported in nokia photos, but again the text of the message is cut.
If you want to try I can attach the VMG file so you can check at your end.
    B. regards

  • Geo tagging in Nokia Photos

    Hi,
I have Nokia N 82, v 31.0.016.  For some of my geo-tagged pictures, after syncing with Nokia Photos, if i want to see my geo-tagged picture in Show item in Map View, i am able to see the picture in Map view of Nokia Photos, but in Timeline view, if i try to flip the same photos which is geo-tagged, it will not show the location where it is taken, Is it a bug ? For geo-tagged image why the location is not stored default on tags ?  Will it be useful, if geo-tagged pictures location tag is updated automatically? Or it has to be made as Manual to store the location tag for all the images which are already geo-tagged?  Hope it sounds clear ...

  • Photos sync OK, but when edited in iPhoto, the original photos still appear.

Photos sync fine to iPhone. However, if I edit (crop) one of these photos in iPhoto, the unedited version still appears on the phone after resyncing. I have tried unchecking the box next to the photo album, then syncing and pulling it completely off the phone. Then I recheck the box and sync the photos back to the phone. The old, unedited versions of the photos still appear on the phone. What to do?? Thanks for your help!!

I am exporting as a JPG. I think I figured out the problem. In the old iPhoto I could export from the Edit menu. On this new version, I have click on the Photos button and go back to the screen that shows the whole event and export from there.
It's a pain and much less efficient but it seems to be working.

  • Apple TV 1st Gen + iTunes 10 + Photo Sync (with Aperture 3) = No Sync

I recently started to experience the same issues that others have reported regarding not being able to sync their Apple TV classic (1st generation) with iTunes 10.
I grudgingly disconnected my Apple TV from iTunes which wiped out all the content. Then when I started a new sync, the Apple TV (and my iMac) froze when trying to connect.
So, I disconnected them again, and quickly set the sync preferences to a "Custom" sync. After an hour of playing around with the settings, and turning on (one by one) syncing of video content, music and podcasts, I've narrowed it down ... to Photo syncing with Aperture.
All of the other content that iTunes will let me select, syncs fine. I've re-synced my entire music library, but if I even setup iTunes to sync 1 photo from Aperture to my Apple TV ... freeze-o-matic.
Anyone else run into this issue and/or been able to find a workaround to fix it?

Finally found answer, many thanks to:

    Welcome to the Apple Community.
Your library has become a secondary (streaming only) library only (it is possible to turn syncing off by ctrl-clicking on the Apple TV listing in the device list and choosing 'Turn Off Syncing" from the contextual menu) and you need to reconnect your library as a primary library.
Navigate to Settings > Computers > Your Library on the Apple TV, you may be told you will lose all synced content, but you can sync it back afterwards, you won't lose any purchased content that has yet to be transferred. Then select Settings > Computers > Connect To iTunes, note the passcode that appears on screen, click on the device in iTunes and enter the passcode when prompted.

  • Photo sync leaving gallery on phone in a mess

Hi, I am trying to move some pictures to my Nokia 5230. I have downloaded and clean installed the latest Ovi-suite. I have connected the phone and chosen pc-suite data transfer mode. I then synced the photos between the PC and the phone. In Ovi-suite/Photos/Phone it showed 11 pictures: a couple of portraits of my wife, the two images currently used on my contacts, two blank images, a blurred image and one image of my PC.So I added a folder with the three additional images that I synced the photos with my phone. I then selected sync photos, it ran, and it said 'Photo sync done!'. However, in ovi-suite 'Photos in Nokia 5230' it still shows only the original 8 pictures. Going to Gallery/ Images & videos on my phone it only shows me four icons (a person a grey gredation, a globe and a globe with a bit of filmstrip. These look like the contents of a system folder. However, when I tried taking a picture it then updated the gallery display to show the same four icons, five music tracks (as a key symbol), the pictures the picture of my PC, and the picture I have just taken. The pictures of my wife, the ones used for my contacts, and the ones from the added folder are nowhere to be seen. I am worried that Ovi-suite may be corrupting the data on my phone. Can anyone help me sort out what is going on here? Thanks

    Connect device.
    Select the Apps tab.
Untick the "sync apps" option and sync the device.
Then tick the "sync apps" option and sync the device.
This should rectify the issue and put all the apps back on the device.  No game or app specific settings will be lost.

  • Using Nokia Photos... E71... Not Synchronising SMS...

    Good Evening All!
I've recently upgraded my N95 to an E71, and made the change from LifeBlog to Nokia Photos - as the E71 doesn't support LifeBlog...
After several attempts of letting Nokia Photos convert the LifeBlog database (of over 64,000 itmes), I gave up and decided to start it from scratch.
I've got Nokia Photos synching photos from my E71, but not SMSs, MMSs or Sound Clips - which is the main reason I'm using it...
If anyone can suggest where I may be going wrong, I'd be extremely grateful...
    Other information:
It's not a connection issue, as the phone is connected and Nokia Photos recognises it.
I've got the latest version of Nokia Photos, and tried reinstalling it.
The firmware version on the E71 is: 100.07.76
There is no profile set in the Sync folder on the phone as there as for LifeBlog on the N95, not sure whether that makes any difference.
    Nokia History: 3110, 5110, 7110, 7110, 3510i, 6210, 6310i, 5210, 6100, 6610, 7250, 7250i, 6650, 6230, 6230i, 6260, N70, N70, 5300, N95, N95, E71, E72
Android History: HTC Desire, SE Xperia Arc, HTC Sensation, Sensation XE, One X+, Google Nexus 5

Nokia Photos can handle only the videos and images. All other stuff is handled by PC Suite for backup and viewing purposes - except the sound clips which can be synced by Nokia Music. Unfortunately, there is no Nokia solution for all-in-one for SMS, clips and images.
