Nokia Push Email Problems

I am using Nokia E63, where i have downloaded Nokia Push Email software from Nokia Email Website, after downloading i am trying to configure my Gmail Email A/c but i am not able to configure it, and it give error message or it hacks my phone.
GPRS on my phone is working, and i am able to visit other site also on my E63.
please help me to solve my problem as i want to urgenly configure and access my email on my E63.

I'm sure someone can help you better than I can, but I will say that I do have Nokia Messaging working well with Gmail on my E63---but over 3G. It never seems to work that well when all I get is a GPRS connection. But this may be my network (3 UK) which highly depreciates all non 3G traffic. I don't know. (You do get data, right? I mean you can browse the web over your connection?) If I remember right, I can get it to work over WiFi as well. Push email doens't work so well in this case, since I wouldn't normally stay always in WiFi range, so it's not a long term solution. But getting anything to work with your Gmail account is a start.
I suspect by Nokia Push email you mean "Nokia Messaging" (which is probably what you want) and not "Mail for Exchange" (which is probably not what you want) , but you don't specify. I would say: spend some time googling for good instructions. Try them carefully (again), and then report back exactly what you did, what you expected and what in fact happened. You request is at the moment too inspecific for anyone to offer anything but the most vague of suggestions.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the forum.
Please short press your On/Off button and slect the Offline profile to disconnect the internet connection temporarily. Then go to Menu > Email > Select the email account > Options > Delete mailbox. Switch the phone back to Online by short pressing the On/Off buttion again and select any profile but Offline. Now reboot the phone.
Reinstall the mailbox via Menu > Email > New mailbox. If reinstalling the mailbox doesn't work, please contact your local Care line so that they can check your Nokia Messaging account. All you need for this is your IMEI, which you can find by entering *#06# into your phone.

NOKIA C3 Emailing problem

I am unable to use my nokia c3 email i tried logging in using my correct credentials and it gives this message "invalid user name or password" but this is the user name and pass word i use on my nomarl email what do i do pls

I HAVE THIS PHONE FOR A WEEK AND I AM GOING TO THROW IT AT THE WALL. The main reason I bought it was for facebook and email facilities. I can get on to facebook no problem but email keeps saying cannot connect and it says offline in the top left hand corner. I have pressed so many buttons at this stage | dont actually remember what I have done. I went to store where I bought it and the girl said something about codes etc. It made no sense to me. I went back and a different girl said i had to download the ovi suite, I did that too and still no show. I am begining to hate this phone. It doesnt do exactly what it says on the tin!

Push Email problem

Why is Yahoo/Rogers push email notification erratic. Some time I get notification within 15-20 seconds, some time it takes for ever. Any suggestions. I have a Rogers email but setup on Yahoo server.

Yahoo provides Push access for received messages with a Yahoo account that is created on the iPhone using the Yahoo account preset. Yahoo Push access for received messages has nothing to do with Rogers. Yahoo has had on and off again problems from the start with this 3+ years ago. Based on a number of posts here over the years, Yahoo doesn't seem to be the most reliable email account service provider around.

Nokia 'push' email no longer pushing after service...

Had my e71 for a couple of weeks and i was quite happy, then i recived an email from nokia telling me they were updating my service and unless i re-entered my email password in email settings i would no longer get my emails pushed to my phone. I followed the instructions to the letter re-entered my password, pressed 'back' and 'changes were saved' since then my emails are not being pushed to my phone! Why! Help! It was working perfectly before the 'service update' thanks in advance.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, but for your opinion to be helpful to other users (which is what this discussion board is all about), could you at least substantiate your comment(s)? Also, you refer to (I presume Nokia Messaging) in the past tense, yet it is an active service.

I have been using Nokia Email/Messaging for the past 4 months, and have also found its push at times unreliable, but the last couple of weeks it has been exceptional, apart from the outage on Sunday for a few hours. Try adding another mailbox from a different provider to see if you experience the same problem.

Nokia E5 Email problems

For several months I have been able to use the email facility for Yahool (BTInternet)
using the following settings and via Wifi.
I/C Mail Server plus.pop.mail.yahoo.com Port 995 (default) SSL enabled and
O/G Mail Server plus.smtp.mail.yahoo.com Port 465 (default) SSL enabled.
Like I say this has always worked first time every time for my main and sub-address accounts except for the last month.
I sporadically get 'unable to log-in message'.
If I try later it will work.
It is extremely random as to when I am successful or not - there is no pattern to it.
I have done all the phone resets and rebuilt all the email settings time and time again.
My Wifi works fine so it is down to either the phone or Yahoo.
Am I alone with this problem?

Then I guess that's your only option.
This kind of "login pages" using the web may be convenient for a one-off web browsing session in a hotel or so, but if you want to use a WLAN regularly, you need a "real" one, i.e. one that supports standard authentication systems.
I would never expect Nokia (or any other brand) to support such kind of **bleep** authentication systems, as they are not standardized.

Nokia x6 email problems - Help!!

Help please. I have had my nokia x6 for a few months & recently had problems with text messages. That has now been sorted with doing software updates. However now, with the nokia emails, they keep coming in time & time again. I open them, have even deleted them & then back they come - between 20 -60 at a time. It's really infuriating. Any advice anyone...pleaseeeee??

yes it was down to yahoo i just used there online live chat to fix it ,it was a pain getting the mails .check out tiscali website and see if they can help .

im currently having a problem with the email (mail for exchange 2003) i can send and receive email over a wireless Lan connection but not over the wap (web &walk T-mobile) has anyone else had the same problem?

at the moment, the only acknowledgments in sounds and vibration that i know of are triggered from the INBOX.

Nokia C3 Email Problem

I bought a new Nokia C3 two weeks before. From the first day onwards i am trying to login to my personal mail throough the inbuilt mail application. But I got an error message like 'Communication Error. Try Latter'.But I was able to take my mail throght browser.I gave my hand set to nokia care and they reinstalled the software.Again I got the the same message and they told it may be the problem with the nokia server and will be OK with in two days.In between I communicated nokia support and they also told the same reason. Yesterday I contacted the nokia support and one technical guy named Sachin attended my call. He asked me to create an account in Nokia Mail with my personel mail id through the portal http://email.nokia.com/acount.
As per his instruction I visited the above portal but I couldnt find my hadset Nokia C3-00 in the list of supported handset. In the list I couldnt find a handset which use S40 platform like Nokia C3.
Now my question is Will my handset support Nokai Message?.
Then Why I am not able to login to my personel mail even after two weeks of discussion with nokia tech team.
I bought this handset for using my mail in moble. But I am really worried about this issue.
Even after spending this much effort and time I didnt get any correct support from nokia.

i am having same problem. But I am able to access my mail by using GPRS. If you selected WIFI connection, it will say "communication error, try it late". I am able to use browser to log on email account. I have post my problem here /t5/Connectivity/C3-00-can-t-use-WIFI-to-connect-email/td-p/960927

Nokia E72 email problem

Has anyone got any ideas why my new Nokia E72 will not exchange with my tiscali email addresses.
If the phone is not connected to tiscali, mail to the laptop is normal.
If the phone is connected to tiscali, all my messages are hidden and I do not get mail on the phone.
if I switch my laptop OFF I can get messages on the phone normally.
Its a choice of phone or laptop, I dont seem to be able get both at the same time
they are pop3 accounts on windows XP, passwords are aligned, as I said, if either is switch OFF the other works fine, so settings ARE good. they just wont both work at the same time.

Downloading email attachments from Nokia push emai...

I am using N97 with Nokia push email client. I am unable to find out how to download attachements from such emails. Please advise.

I am having a similar problem and I did go ahead and expanded "Details" and tapped on the attachment. It takes me to the next screen where the attachment is listed. I tapped on the attachment and a circle flashes momentarily as if it is downloading the attachment but then nothing happens. I waited for almost 20 minutes to download a "1KB" file
In other posts, I noticed we have to enable attachments and file size from Settings --> What to Sync --> Inbox but I do not see any such configuration option in my handset. All I have is "sync enabled" and "header plus" that is it.
I have tried to go through multiple posts and have not been able to find any solution to my problem and neither have I read anyone else having this issue!
I have Nokia X6-00 RM-551 v20.2.005. It is an unlocked phone.

Nokia E7 - Push Email Not Working

I have recently upgraded to a Nokia E7 from a Nokia E72 and I am now experiencing push email problems?
I configured my Gmail account on my E72 in seconds and the push email worked beautifully and I received mail within 30 seconds of it being sent to my email address. I tested this myself!
So why is there such an issue getting push email to work on my E7? I imagined it would be easier and better, but I have been mistaken.
Is there any way at all to correct this problem? Mail only comes through when I manually sync, but this is frustrating!!
Any help will be appreciated!!

I am also experiencing issues with Nokia messaging since Anna update. Prior to this it was working fine with Symbian^3 making me feel happy for upgrading from E72
But this joy didn't last for much time as I discovered immediately after updating to Anna that mail isn't working anymore. I eagerly upgraded to Anna as soon is it is available on 18th Aug but since then I wasn't able to receive or send mails from the accounts that are already configured. Having waited for about more than week anticipating some quick app update to fix the issue I tried deleting and adding the accounts again. Since then I repeatedly see a error message that "Cannot enable the mail service that allows you to fully experience your favourite providers because connection to the mail server is not possible with the settings provided.
Select 'Next' to set up mailbox without this service. You can attempt to connect to the server by adjusting the mailbox settings later."
Status remains same even after resetting the device completely for seven times and Nokia care has advised me to reinstall Anna firmware using OVI suite from a PC rather than using OTA update. However I haven't had any luck and the issue continues.
Though this seems to be a pain all the early adopters of Anna on E7, N8 and C7 are in, there isn't still an acknowledgement from Nokia to our pity. Seems that they are helping their competitors rather than the customers by forcing them to jump the ship.

Nokia C3-00 email problem

Hi, I just bought Nokia C3-00 since 4 or 5 days. My 1st preference on mobile phone is my email from gmail. I set up my gmail account using the mail application on my phone. The account was setup easily with no difficulty and my inbox was downloaded. I can send / receive email but now the worst thing is I am unable to receive notification about a new email. So push email is not working. I then created an ovi account and set up its email. Still the same problem occured and no notification for new email was ever shown on my phone. I contacted Nokia Care on telephone. The representative there asked me to check the following settings.
Mail/Gmail (or OVI) Account/More/Settings:
Update my inbox: Very Fast
Alert me for new mails: On
Alert me only during: 00:00 to 00:00
I did this on both gmail and ovi accounts. I also set Menu/Settings/Connectivity/Packet Data/Packet Data Connection to Always Online. But still I was unable to receive email notification. On contacting again to Nokia Care they asked me to delete all the acounts and setup again. I did all the procedure but still in vain. No notification was received for new mails. Then Nokia Care representative asked me to soft reset my device by using *#7780# and setup email again. I did this but without any luck. Then the representative asked me to reset device to factory settings. I did this by phone settings and also *#7370# and setup all the email again. But dissapointment still prevails and no new mail notification. Ultimately, the representative asked me to update my device software using ovi suite. I connected my devive and tried to update software but software version of my device is 8.65 which is latest and cannot be updated further. There is also no option for reinstalling software. I am so much distressed and thinking of replacing my device. Any help please??

I have exactly the same problem and I tried all of those solutions but none of them worked. I was also thinking of replacing it but I wouldn't like it to come to that point. I get no answers from Nokia Care. If anyone knows how to fix this, PLEASE, say something.

Nokia n97 mini push email not working anymore afte...

I updated the firmware of my n97 mini to v30.
Now the Nokia Messaging app disapeared and there's a new Nokia Email app instead of it.
I tried to set up my own email account ( own domain) with it, using IMAP4
Push email doens't seem to work and synching harldy works...
any solutions?
