Nokia Recommends stops working on 808

I decided to try Nokia Recommends after discovering that Weather has failed.
It failed with the message "Unable to get data. Please, check your network connection and try again. [Try Again] [Exit]"
I have attempted it 2 hours apart with the same result.

no man! its just display the NOKIA in blue with white background and after some time only the white background left and phone takes no commands from me .
please help me out as am using my brother cell from 1 day.

Camera on Nokia N8 stopped working

Hi, a few days ago I accidently dropped my phone and since then the camera has gone weird. When I look at the camera the shutter is not there and it looks like I'm about to take a photo. Its almost like the shutter is stuck. When I go onto my camera app there is no picture and it looks like I am in a dark room when I am not, but the options, exit and ect show up. I have dropped my phone a few other times especially on worse surfaces but this time it has just stopped working and I really want to get it fixed as I love this phone. Many thanks

You need to get it checked by Nokia Care technician..as most probably it looks like an Hardware issue ...

NOKIA OVI STOPPED WORKING MESSAGE WHEN I TRY TO LO...

Hi everyone,this is my first post so please forgive my naivety,but what little of my hair is left I have nearly pulled out over the last few days.
My problem is that I was prompted to upgrade my old Nokia Music to OVI and all seemed ok until a week ago.When I attempt to launch it won't,and I get the message "Nokia OVI player has stopped working" and windows will find a solution.

Well, I guess I'm just as ignorant, cause I've got the same problem, same error Help please! In the meantime I switched to i-tunes.. very user-friendly!

Nokia 500 stops working after start.

hi,
after i updated my nokia 500 to belle,it has stop working after i start.touchscreen works for some seconds then it stops and no keys are working as well.i have to take battery out to restart but again same problem.can anyone halp please.

Thanks for your post and welcome to the Nokia forum.
We are really sorry for this inconvenience.
In order to fix this issue, I would advise you to update again your phone via Nokia suite.
If the problem persists, I would suggest you to perform a hard reset. First of all, back up your data using Nokia Suite (Tools > Back up). Once your data is fully backed up, type *#7370# on the keypad. Default lock code is 12345.
The hard reset will dellete all your personal information, that's why a back up is very important.
If none of these solutions solves your issue. I would invite you to visit your local Nokia care point to get the phone checked. If it needs repair, it could be done there.

Nokia 5530 stopped working

My 5530 fall at the ground when I tried to turn it on it only showed a white blank then it turned off .when I removed the memory card it worked but when I tried to put it back my phone stopped working again any help please.

First try 3button reset:
Press and hold [Green] + [Red] + [Camera] Keys
Turn phone ON, and keep pressing it until you see the Nokia Shaking Hands Logo.
(It'll wipe phone memory/c , so consider backup first by tuning it on with out sim and memory card.)
If this doesn't work, then it may have a hardware fault, bring it to a Nokia care point and have it checked.

Nokia Email stopped working

Hello,
I have E63 and I have been using Nokia Email on my phone a few months now without any problems. (Have been using Gmail and Ovi mail) However last two weeks it somehow stopped working properly.
1. I can still send emails properly.
2. "Sent" folders sync without problems. Also, for example if I send an email from Ovi website from PC, I can see my message in the Sent folder.
3. Mysterious empty "Inbox" - although I haven't deleted messages. They just disappeared. And no new messages come in. I tested a few times by sending emails from PC but nothing. CAN NOT RECEIVE any emails.
Could someone please tell me why this is happening?? Thank you.

I too would like an answer from nokia regarding this.
I have definately noticed in the past weeks that the service is extremely unreliable at best.
I have stated in a previous post (which incidentally was my first and not one person could be bothered to respond to it) that I had been using the service with no problems until the other week when I came home to find a few new mails on the PC which nokia messaging had failed to receive.
I feel I can no longer trust the service and have gone back to using Profimail which grabs mail from the yahoo or Google server directly instead of through nokia's seemingly unreliable servers.
There definately should be a page we can log on to which tells of any service disruptions or slowdowns to be expected etc.
The only thing that is stopping me moving to blackberry really is that their phones don't support web flash. Apart from that I'd go tomorrow as nokia don't seem to care about these issues.

Nokia Messaging Stopped working

Last week Hotmail stopped syncing. I recovered this by manually checking all passwords etc, all were correct but it seemed to force the correction anyway. Today, both gmail and hotmail have stopped working. Have checked all settings and reinstalled NM yet still no sync!?
Any ideas!?

This is simply unbelieveable. I have no words left to describe my utmost disgust with Nokia E-mail, Nokia E71 and all things Nokia.
Since we all agree the built-in Nokia e-mail application is a piece of **bleep**, I started using Nokia E-mail (Messaging). Two days ago I stopped receiving e-mails (again!!!), and spent countless hours trying to fix it (the "countless hours" include a complete waste of time in contacting Nokia Canada in search for help - like the rest of Nokia, including Nokia web site, they are useless). I NEED MY E-MAIL, I'm willing to pay for it if I can't have it for free, I just need a reliable and fast e-mail to connect me with my business while I'm on the road (which I am 90% of my time).
I removed Messaging from my phone, and now I'm unable to reinstall. When prompted for password, I entered my e-mail server password, and got rejected. I tried Nokia E-mail password, rejected. Tried my webmail password, nothing. I either get "server not found. please check the name of server and try again" or "password cannot be verified", or "log in failed. please try again later". "Frustrating" doesn't even start to describe it... Now I can't even get Messaging back on my phone. As I write this, the phone is verifying my password for the last 20 minutes!!
In closing, I want to say that I pity everyone who choses Nokia, as this company has shown to me the total lack of professionalism, customer orientation and, I'm affraid, basic technical knowledge. Copying USA cell phone technology was easy, making their own is somewhat more difficult, and for the poor Finns - impossible. I'm stuck with this piece of s**t Nokia E71 for the next 2 years, but my revenge will be in spreading the word around that buying Nokia is the worst thing one can do. There are much better and more reliable phones in One-Dollar-Stores around North America.

Nokia Magnifier Stopped Working

I've been using the Nokia magnifier for months and it has been working fine. It suddenly stopped working. I tried uninstalling and downloading the app again and that didn't work. Is this app or one similar going to be available again for the E71?

Nokia browser stopped working

I purchased nokia asha 303 15 days back and after some days the nokia browser have stopped working so im using opera mini. If doesnt allow me to download stuff from other sites also.

Welcome to the Nokia forum.
If the default browser doesn't work, please connect your phone to Nokia Suite and click on the green arrow where all available updates will be displayed. An update will reinstall all default applications including the Nokia browser. After the update the browser will work.
If no update is available, you will be able to reinstall the current software. This option is displayed in blue when you click on the green arrow.

Hi, I've got a problem with my Nokia E7. I was updating to Nokia Belle (though I read, that Nokia Belle is a s--t), and the PC, in the middle of the process, the PC stopped working (the screen was on, with the last image, but nothing worked). I turned off the PC and restarted. The phone didn't restarted and now the PC recognizes only the USB Nokia modem and the Suite can't find the USB connected phone
Cane someone help me please??
Do I have to bring it to the assistance centre??

Nokia X7 stops working

I bought Nokia X7 before about 1 and half month's, everything was fine till now.
Today I showed my friend how GPS is working, and when I opened maps, and tried to zoom with 2 fingers It just freezed, I've been waiting about half an hour, but nothing happened, so I tried to restart it, but even that is not working anymore. I tried to connect via USB and restore it, but it shows -> there is problem with device, please, restart the device and start again. What should I do, to get it back to lives?
P.S. It doesn't have any scratches, it haven't been falling or droped, its in perfect condition.

I found how to hard reset phone and it worked, so, everything is fine again.
If someone needs, then hard reset phone you can holding together volume down + camera key + menu key + power off/on button till you feel that your phone vibres.

Nokia n82 stopped working

I was trying to update Nokia Ovi Software it needed to back up the phone before it can update but the battery run out so the phone i put the charger but now the phone no longer switch on on the Nokia Ovi Software it says 'Nokia Ovi Suite lost its connections with your device. Follow these steps to reconnect your device: 1: Remove the battery, charger and USB cable from your device 2.Re-insert the USB cable, then the battery and finally the charger' I did all of that several times but the phone is still dead. any ideas, how can i bring back phone to life?

Keep the phone for charging overnight and see if it come to life.. If not try the Hard Reset as mentioned in the above thread..
If this does not work.. you will have to show the phone at Nokia care..

Nokia 520 stopped working

hi my nokia 520 turned off last night when i turned it on again there were two white cog wheels on the screen and a green loading line then the vodafone start up picture then nokia on a black screen and nothing else i have turned if off i have taken the battery ut but it does nothing else and keeps jumping between the two start up screens help !

First try rebooting by pressing and holding the vol down + power button for around 10 seconds.

Nokia 6310i stopped working

Hi,
I've had a 6310i for a few years, and when my work gave me a 6230 and I moved the sim over to the new phone I hoped I could use the 6310 with an old vodafone sim I had. The phone has always been a vodafone contract. The display said contact the operator. However since then the phone want even switch on. Is this coincidence or has something happened and locked the phone. If this is the case how do I go about getting the phone working again.

It sounds as if 6310i didn't want to come back to life, are you sure battery hasn't given up the ghost now?
The SIM can't do anything to your phone but it does take current to run it.
