Nokia's IM Chat is not starting

My chat app suddendly stopped working. The last thing I remember happening before it stopped was 1 time I restarted my phone and I saw this SSOUI came up asking me to log in... which I did. Later in the day, I realized that when I try to launch Chat, it shows the splash screen for a moment then goes back to homescreen. Now I'm not sure if SSOUI had anything to do with it or not but I believe I should include that info.
I had a similar problem with Fring in the past which was resolved by deleting 3 files it apparently left behind, but I haven't a clue which files to look for with the Chat app.
I prefer to have this problem sorted without having to do a hard reset or anything that would cause data loss.

Hi I am experiencing the same problem, I have tried installing and uninstalling the app several timers but is still not working.
The annoying part is that I logged on earlier on and now it shows me as online even tho I am completely logged out. I have tried running the app so I can log out but when I try to do it, it loads for a few seconds and returns to the home screen menu.
Any suggestions would be most welcome.

Jabber 9.2.3 Group Chat Will Not Start

We're having an issue where about half of our Jabber installs cannot start a group chat. When you right-click and select "Start a group chat", you receive the message that you are about ready to start a chat with x number of people and to select continue. Once you select continue, nothing further happens, whereas on the installations that function, the group chat window then launches. Error message from logs below...

Searched online and only found a few solutions that talk about enabling multi user chat on Presence... which of course it alreay is since half our client workstations can start group chats successfully. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling and removing the user/groups and readding with no success.

I Chat will not start for the first time on my Macbook Pro after Migration

Hi hope someone can help as this problem has stumped me. I cannot get ICHAT to even start having migrated all applications via Migration Assistant from a Macbook to a Macbook Pro. Everything else seems to work fine except when I run ICHAT and follow setup I get to a final screen which locks without showing a DONE button to complete the setup process! I have reloaded OS X, downloaded the OS X Combo OSand tried that, deleted the app and started again just in case but to no avail. Can anyone help? The application worked fine on the old Macbook but not on this machine.

What OS is the new computer at otherwise ?
I would guess you will have to do th Hard way

First try reconnecting the phone to your pc and see if NSU will see it and allow you to reinstall update. If this doesn't happen, try removing the battery and leaving it out for at least 5 minutes before reinserting and starting the phone. Failing this, send it to your nearest Nokia Care Point.

My 5800 is not starting help.....

As a final resort although all user data would be deleted you could try three keys depressed RED, GREEN & CAMERA whilst powering on until Nokia "Shaking hands" logo appears as a precursor to visiting a Nokia Care Point.

my nokia asha 311 chat is not working. its loading for past 3 days. but mail and other things working fine give some solution.

Nokia E7 is not starting

Micro usb pin is little broken but when i plugged in to usb charger the power indicator led blinks. Now its not starting even not vibrating when keep holding the power button. Even im not sure that it is being charged or not or battery is null.
please give me a solution.

Nokia e5-00 not starting blank screen

couple of days back, while trying to update the software using nokia suite 3.8.54, at installation page, there was no progress bar and i thought it could be stuck and so, disconnected the USB cable as the device screen become blank. Till now, could not start my mobile. i have used Lumia Software recovery tool, but in vain, also tried hard reset step using 3 keys, but not successful. pl advise remedy to overcome starting problem.

Hi Juned108. Does this mean the phone turns on if there's no SIM card inserted? Have you tried testing another SIM card in the phone?

hey hi guy'z i hope u guy'z mst b sloved my problem ......my nokia n96 not start .....when i trying to start it only mid button light on and screen totally balck and bit vibrate .... i use all tips to start phone mean's (*) (3) and then switch button turn on and (3) (green button =call) and power and (*) (green button) and then again power but there is not any tips were apply ......so plz tell me what happened in my mobile .....is my nokia mother board dead or other problem ...!!!!! and how can i solve it plz reply me ......

I don't understand what ''hard reset'' did you do.
Hard reset. Turn off the phone. Press and hold three keys together, the green key, the * key and the number '3'.Then, turn on the phone and don't let the three keys before you see the Nokia hands logo.
For 5800 XM hard reset need different keys. The green key, the red key and the camera button.The process is the same.

Nokia E5 not starting after software update

I today updated my software through wifi. after download, it tried to restart the phone and didnt restart at all. Its completely dead now.

Welcome to Nokia Discussions.
If your device does no longer switch on after updating through WiFi, try connecting the phone to Nokia Suite and see if you can reinstall the current software. You can do this by clicking on the green arrow in Nokia Suite, the option to reinstall the current software will be displayed in blue in the bottom of your screen.
If the device does not respond after connecting it to Nokia Suite or you're not able to reinstall the software, please visit a Nokia Care Point where the phone can get looked at and sent for repair if necessary.

Try to reset all Skype settings. Quit Skype or use Windows Task Manager to kill any Skype.exe process. Go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %appdata% and then press Enter or click the OK button. The Windows File Explorer will pop up. There locate a folder named “Skype”. Rename this folder to something different, e.g. Skype_old. Next go to Windows Start and in the Search/Run box type %temp%\skype and then press Enter or click the OK button. Delete the DbTemp folder. Restart Skype. N.B. If needed, you will still be able to re-establish your call and chat history. All data is still saved in the Skype_old folder.

I'm newbie here, but it doesn't matter. I dont want to do here anything else, just write off my opinion about the Microsoft's "new" Skype, and I hope they will read...
This is a cropped image - of course hungarian, because I'm hungarian, but I think many of us could see this as well. How this is possible? "The Skype can not start because the system is not available" *** What kind of system? The Skype was on a P2P system, where is impossible that the system is not available! This is why the skype was much better than the Microsoft's messenger. Then they bought it, and make it wrong...
I found a solution for this problem, this can happen if my client is not updated. But IT IS!
How does it works? Can we use the **bleep** Skype how we would like to use? Or this time we need to find an other application (like Viber), and using that while they not buying that as well, just because that is better?

After march 25th 2011 see blank page of hotmail, gmail chat is not working

On monday, 28th of March 2011 after starting Firefox when tried to go to gmail received warning 'This connection is untrusted' and added this site as exception (i saw this warning too many times last couple days). After that logged in to gmail, chat was not working and button 'more' was not working as well. Also, cannot login to hotmail - see blank page. I went thru gmail support and googled. Cookies cleared, addons uninstalled, refresh pressed, restarted, computer date and time is correct, completely uninstalled Firefox several times, tried versions 3.6.13, 3.6.16 and now the same situation with Firefox 4. Also checked dom.storage.enable which is true. Nothing did help. Anyway, everything working with IE fine, and, sure, everything was perfect week ago.
After some searches found article, that was something changed with sertificates on March 25th. I think it is somehow connected to my problem. Here are the articles:

Also, when I check this post several times a day, I always see warning 'Connection is untrust'. If I close browser and reopen immediately everything is ok.

PC Suite 6.86.9.3 does not start after reboot

Hi!
I have some strange problems with the PC Suite. After the first install everything is working well but after a reboot the PC suite is not starting after double click on the desktop icon.
But i can install tools on the phone or start some of the suite tools. Only the PC Suit does not run.
The repair function of the installer does not bring any results. The only way ist to deinstall the suit and all drivers and to clear all remainig nokia registry entries. After that I can install the suite again and it will run again... until I reboot the system. And so on, and so on...
Does any one have an idea how to solve my problem?

Actually it does not work on one Windows XP SP3 computer, but it does work on another Windows XP SP3 computer.
Probably this is a .NET application, as I have encountered several .NET applications that do NOT work on some specific computers.

Nokia 6120 Classic Accept button not working

I have a Nokia 6120 Classic and is not working fine. I have decided to change my mobile.
Before change my mobile I want to backup all my data and telephone numbers. The problem is that Accept button is not working correct. When I start my mobile I can enter pin number but after this I can't enter the date because I have to use Accept button (the one in the top left). Is there any possibility to skip entering date? This is the only wey to enter mobile and backup my data

I was going to take it to Nokia care but duh? Should the button stop working suddenly? Without anything wrong also the same with the camera button also I'm not the first one to have this problem right? Then its not our problem but its Nokia's I thought there's another solution, but yeah I'm making angry posts can you just make good products? I see all the people complaint about that button **bleep**, you better not talk while maybe the problem from th company.
