Nokia Social has stopped working
For the last 2 days Nokia Social app (808 Pureview) has stopped working. I have obviously checked:
correct account settings
deleted and added the account again
there are no connectivity issues on the device
The issue seems to be related the Social App itself. See attached error message.

You might need to uninstall the Social Application on your phone and then install a new one.
To uninstall:
Go to Menu.
Settings.
Choose Already Installed.
Scroll down to Social.
Press and hold on it and then select Remove.
Remove the Social Installer as well.
To install the latest version, just run the SW update of the phone and then install New Social.
Please let us know it this helps.

Nokia Suite has stopped working
Above is the now dreaded message I constantly receive everytime I try to sync my Calendars and Tasks between my Windows 7 based laptop and Nokia C7 mobile phone. This started around the time that I updated to the latest version of Nokia suite 3.5.34. This is one of the most important aspects of my syncs. I uses this for work and I've spent the last few days desperately trying to find a solution.
What I've done so far:
Started with trying to repair Nokia Suite through Windows 7 uninstall programme (did this several times throughout process)
Also tried to repair sync through Nokia suite (also several times)
I then deleted Nokia Suite (using Windows 7 uninstall programme along with Device drivers etc)
Then re-installed Nokia Suite
plugged in C7 and re-installed Device drivers etc.
Deleted all Calendar events on my Nokia C7
Re-installed Nokia C7 software through Nokia Suite (after saving everything important)
Deleted Nokia Suite again and installed Beta version
Deleted Beta version and all files under /Appdata/Nokia etc
Installed fresh version of Nokia Suite 3.5.34 from Nokia website
Installed c7 device drivers
Sync.....
message still there... Nokia Suite has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. The final messages reads something like 'A problem caused Nokia Suite to stop working....'
WHAT PROBLEM!!!???
I've spent too many hours trying to sort out this.
I've sent several logged reports directly to Nokia through the Nokia Suite system.
If anyone has some ideas on what might be the solution to this frustration I would be very grateful.
Oh... and another thing. I've also deleted and re-installed several calendar events that I'd recently entered into my Outlook calendar, just in case there was something going on there.
Not to mention the numerous times I've used the Windows troubleshooter to try to figure this things out.
Sigh... I'm not daft, but this is ridiculously complicated for something that is meant to make life simple.
Many thanks in advance.

Internet radio has stopped working
Hi all, A couple days ago internet radio on my Nokia X6 has stopped working. 3G connection is established, stations load, I can see that data is being downloaded (using data counter). But I hear nothing. I checked my earphones and other stations as well. My FM receiver works OK, if relevant. Can anyone confirm that internet radio is working? Or is this service closed??

Nokia 6085 just stopped working....
Well my three month old Nokia 6085 has stopped working.
I was texting some friends and suddenly it started to be really slow and then started going on and off and when I tried turning it back on sometimes it started and sometimes it didn't.
Now it just turns on to the start screen saying Nokia and stays there.
What is wrong and how do I fix it?
By the way, it isn't the battery. I've tried different ones and tried them in another phone and they work....Mine worked for approx 11 minutes from new. Never even got the SIM installed. Was looking at menus.
Now it just flashes "Nokia" then white/blue/white/blue and off.
This appears to be a reasonably common fault, and I imagine it will be warrantee, however the reseller Denys any knowledge or responsibility for this. Brand new, i need to go to a customer care dealer. Nearest one..... 4 hours away.
Now the phone I purchased for the weekend trip, because my old one is nearly dead... is deader than the old one.
This is not good enough Nokia. You need to do something. -
Nokia 701 Social app stopped working
One fine day, the Nokia Social app in my Nokia 701 simply stopped working; tapping on the icon shows the "welcome to social" screen and then goes back to previous screen. Why? Is anybody else having this problem?
I have uninstalled the app, restarted the phone and reinstalled it but the problem persists. I keep my phone software updated from time to time.
Any possible solution known to anybody?Hey kbps,
Welcome to the Nokia Forums!
Have you tried to perform a soft reset using the code *#7870# security code 12345 by default.
This will revert your phone settings to factory settings hwoever it will not remove any of your data.
If it doesn not work, please plug your device into Nokia Suite and reinstall the phone software. Before any steps please create a backup of your device.
I Hope this has helped!

Problem: Nokia C7 Social application stopped worki...
I have a problem with my new Nokia C7. Social application has stopped working on the first day of use and now only says "Script alert: Sorry, please uninstall and reinstall communities."
I presume "communities" means the Social application, and I have uninstalled and reinstalled it many times now with different sequences (uninstall+update+reboot, uninstall+reboot+install+reboot etc.) without help. I have also downloaded the Social 1.2 manually and tried to install that way too. No success there either. The widget for Social seems to be working and updating correctly though.
I've seen similar threads elsewhere on Nokia Support Discussions, but suggestions there don't work for me and Nokia hasn't commented officially on any of the threads.
Help is needed!Have you tried installing via Ovi Suite as suggested at http://discussions.europe.nokia.com/t5/Nseries-and-S60-Smartphones/Social-Widget-not-working/m-p/851...

Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after Nokia PC Suite installation
I've got the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth had worked pretty well before I installed Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (the newest version 7.1.26.0 from website).
To be correct, at first I even managed to maintain a Bluetooth connection between PC and Nokia and ran syncronisation of contacts. I made several attempts but each time syncronisation run ended with message "PC coudn't get answer from your Nokia".
After rebooting, my PC went crazy and started issuing message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time I ask it to close.
Installation of new version of BT Stack (6.40) didn't fix this error.
Please helpHi there
I answered an existing thread with the same problem, but no-one can help apparently.
Anyway,,, I can at least help you with getting rid of the looping setup. You need to rename the directory with the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I also have Nokia syncing and it worked fine until recently. - I have to say I think the problem relates to a Windows auto upgrade.
How to solve this is a different matter. At this moment I have given up. The Toshiba bluetooth stack disabled. -
Nokia service layer host process has stopped worki...
Hello,
When i try to update my Nokia E90... i get the following error -
Nokia service layer host process has stopped working
I tried everything... Reinstalling pc suite and Software Updater, but still same problem
Please help me
Thanksi had exactly the same problem while updating using the latest NSU on Windows Vista with SP1.
I guess there is some compatibility problems between the latest version of NSU and Vista.
I tried with Windows XP SP2 and the latest version of NSU, i was able to update my E90 to the firmware version - 200.34.73
In case, you are using XP, I would suggest you uninstall NSU as per the FAQ in Nokia web site and reinstall the latest version.
Please let me know if this helps. -
Nokia Launch Application has stopped working...
Hi,
I've just carried out a fresh install of Vista 32-bit and installed Nokia PC Suite (version 6.85.12.0) and I now get the following error after a few seconds, even if I'm not trying to run any of the apps:
Nokia Launch Application has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
The version I had before the re-installation worked perfectly.
Is it possible to find that version again?
Thanks,I would try to manually (through control panel I mean, no registry hacking) uninstall 6.84, connectivity solution and USB driver, then boot PC and then install 6.85 on a clear computer, if this problem, repair 6.85 through control panel and then decide whether to go back to 6.84

Social app stopped working on N8
Recently the Social app has stopped working. Neither Facebook nor Twitter connect, they say 'unable to connect to gateway' irrespective of EDGE or Wifi(I don't have 3G here), even though I can open both sites perfectly on the phone's browser.
I've rebooted the phone etc, but nothing helps. Anyone else face this?
I'm using a Nokia N8-00 with PR1.1
Solved!
Go to Solution.Hi,
Thank you for your feedback!
We in the Discussions team work closely with our colleagues at Nokia Care and we aim to provide a consistent service across all Nokia touchpoints in all the 100+ countries where customers can call or email Nokia.
Sometimes we are able to publish information here on the forum faster than at Nokia contact centers. So while it is nice that we can quickly respond to some issues here, it also means that sometimes the other Nokia touchpoints are not necessarily yet aware of all issues in all countries. We will use this case and your feedback as an example that helps us improve our processes.
Kind Regards! -
Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284 has stopped working on windows...
Hello,
Since I bought the Nokia N8 and I'm trying to run the Ovi Suite I always get the message "Nokia Ovi Suite has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
Event viewer doesn't help really...
Does anyone knows the cause of this or perhaps even better, has a solution?
I tried already :
Un-install Re-install
Run as administrator
Run XP SP3 compatible
Thanks anyway.
Kind regards,
ChrisThank you for your feedback.
Could you please provide us the log files?
1. Here are the instructions for attaching log files:
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284
- Enable log gathering by double-clicking the enable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start enabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs are enabled" dialogue
- Exit Nokia Ovi Suite from File - Exit. This is mandatory! Closing NOS to system tray is not enough!
- Open Nokia Ovi Suite again
- Try to reproduce the error you are reporting
- If the error still exists, double click the collect_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start collecting the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs collect & zip finished" dialogue
- Attach the NOS2_logs.zip file in C:\Temp\NOS2 folder and screenshots in the error reporting form
- Go to your %TEMP% folder, which can be found by entering %TEMP% to the Windows Explorer's address bar. Then search debug_log_date.txt in this folder, where date is the current date (or choose the latest one) and attach also this file in the error reporting form. The exact %TEMP% folder paths are:
In XP: C:\Documents and settings\your_username\LocalSettings\Temp\
In Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Temp\
- Disable log gathering by double-clicking the disable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
- Click the button to start disabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
- Click the button to confirm the "Logs are disabled" dialogue
You can send these log files, system information details to [email protected] mailbox -
"ServiceLayer Module has stopped working" in Vista
Hi all
My PC Suite was working just fine until recently when this error message repeatedly pops up - "ServiceLayer Module has stopped working". The only way to stop it is to terminate the PC Suite in processes on the Windows Task Manager.
I have uninstalled PC Suite, deleted all Nokia entries and then re-installed PC Suite, with the old version I had stored on my HDD and the new version downloaded from this website, but still no success.
Does anyone have any idea what is going wrong with my installation? Nothing else has any problems, Vista is working like a peach, but for some reason PC Suite has just given up!
Solved!

"ProgramName.exe" has stopped working?
Hello,
I am currently in school and am trying to compile programs using Visual C++ Express 2010, because that is what the professor uses. I was told to download the source code from the books website, and build from there. When compiling any of the books
code however I get the error message: "ProgramName.exe" has stopped working? I have re-installed VS, and DirectX (as these are the only libraries used), and checked to ensure I have the Windows 8.1 SDK installed as the instructor said, but I am still
getting the error 99% of the time (Every once in a while it will not pop up). The program runs fine while debugging, but when I try to run the generated executable outside VS it exits immediately.
Can anyone tell me what could cause this?Hi Jhessin,
Test Tools in Visual Studio 2010 and 2012forum is to discuss Visual Studio testing issues. Your issue is about the specific program. If your project is DirectX application, I suggest consulting
this issue on DirectX forum provided here:

DISM Image Servicing Utility has stopped working
Hello.
I'm on windows Server 2012 R2.
I'm using DISM.exe to deploy .NET 3.5 framework from the commandline.
When I enter my command I get this error in a popup window:
DISM Image Servicing Utility has stopped working.
In the Even log I get the following info:
Faulting application name: Dism.exe,
Faulting module name: Dismprov.dll
Exception code: 0xc0000005
Faulting process id: 0x232c
Faulting application path: C:\Windows\system32\Dism.exe
Faulting module path: C:\Windows\system32\Dismprov.dll
Can someone please provide some support on this?
Things to note: This is a server in a closed environment, has no connectivity to internet and is a WSUS server primarily, it gets its database from a higher level enterprise database which i do not have direct access to.
I do have the 2012 R2 installation media available to me.Hi
Copy Dismprov.dll from another Windows 8/8.1 or Windows Server 2012/2012 R2, and re-register it with command:

I have downloaded patch and the relevant drivers, even then it is my blue tooth is not working and a small window pops up with the same message.
How to fix this problems? - Plesae helpI get exactly the same problem.
I have a Satellite with Vista 32 bit and the Toshiba Bluetooth stack. I only use it with my Nokia phone and it has never worked very well. - But it HAS worked.
A few weeks back, it stopped working alltogether and I decided to check for an upgrade on Toshiba's site. I've found "Bluetooth Stack-6.10.10" which supposedly is the most current.
I have removed the complete directory and even used regedit to remove all keys pointing to the dir, before rebooting and installing from scratch with no luck.
The PC was originally delivered with several languages, but I have chosen to install the English version of Vista. For some reason, the bluetooth stack insists on installing in Danish (and there is no way to change that). I have a feeling that this is at least part of the reason for the problem.
Since the problem suddenly occured. At one time, I had some kind of a loop with 20+ active TosBtMng.exe icons in the system tray. Every time I start it I get the following:
