Nokia Store not downloading

Hi, I just got a new nokia E5 and the first app I downloaded from Nokia Store was free and via the PC suite which worked fine. Then I bought an app from my phone, it appears in 'purchase history' but NOT in My Stuff and sits at 0% on download. I tried downloading a different free app from the mobile but it too sits at 0%. Seems to be an issue downloading direct to the mobile but for the paid app it says I do not have the option to install via PC suite??? why?
Also I've installed all recent updates for PC and phone.

Restarted phone and the app now appears in 'My stuff' and downloaded correctly.

    I have noticed that every app I buy has the "download" option blocked. The only way to get it is to give your mobile #, pick up the SMS, go the the link in the SMS, and download the app directly to the phone. Why are they doing this? Is it to prevent those apps which are not IMEI linked from being installed on multiple phones? It is a nuisance because if I have to reinitialise the phone, I will have to buy all the apps again.

    Because Nokia hasn't managed to implement any kind of half-decent protection mechanism for applications it distributes through the Nokia Store (not since the Nokia N-Gage service which had a game licensing/activation mechanism in place already a few years ago; Nokia just didn't want to re-use it with Ovi Store for some reason or another).
    If they allowed PC downloads for commercial apps, the app developers/publishers would be unhappy as the apps would soon be available on the internet for free by software pirates redistributing them illegally.
    (The apps end up cracked on the internet anwyay, in most cases, but the above is still the reason why Nokia is preventing PC downloads).
    Do note that Nokia Store does allow you to redownload apps without having to buy them again (at least a few times).

    I have an iPad 3 64GB that has been updated to iOS 8. In the last two days, the App Store will not download updated apps. It shows them with a red number, but when I click on Update, I get the circle with a square in the middle but then nothing proceeds. If I go to the individual app, it says "waiting…" but if I click it, it does not change to "paused" as it used to when waiting was shown.
    My iPhone 5S is not having a problem, nor is iTunes on my computer.
    Sometimes, if I sync the iPad with iTunes, the updated apps will copy over to the iPad, but not every time.
    I have done a forced restart on the iPad and have also done a Reset All Settings under the General setting.
    It appears that something has gone wrong with the App Store app. Does anyone have a suggestion as to how to fix this short of restoring the iPad to new status and reinstalling everything?

    Try deleting the apps with the issue from iTunes, and then download and update them again.

    Is anyone else having problems at the moment with downloading from iTunes. I get an error message that states that itunes store is unavailable...

    Might be down. I've logged out and tried to log back in but get the same results. Interesting thing I've seen is that it tells me to sign in (which it will not allow me) yet I can access my purchased section. Store seems to be up but it will not let me sign in at all.
    I've seen random errors ranging from iTunes Store not available to purchases are not available in the U.S.
    I've already tried enough troubleshooting, computer reset, network reset, preferences reset. My only assumption is that iTunes Store is down.

  • Nokia Updater - not downloading update.

    Hello. While I was downloading the updates today for my n95 it got to 80mb out of the 113mb or whatver it is.
    Anyway, I lost internet connection and it never finished downloading the update.
    The phone is fine and still works a treat, however. Whenever I go to update to firmware v12 it does not even search or try to download the updates anymore. It just tries to install the update.
    I have searched high and low on my computer and deleted all my temp files and re-installed all nokia update software but it still skips the download part and goes straight to install.
    And of course, it fails.
    Any ideas?

  • Wi-Fi Music Store NOT downloading

    I recently upgraded my phone to version 1.1.1 and have tried to use the music store to purchase a song.
    It will animate the song into the downloads box, but it disappears after trying to purchase it. No errors are displayed. The transaction is not completed as I haven't lost any money in my account. I am synced with one iTunes account, I've reset it several times. Help?

    Did you find a solution to this problem? I have been experiencing the same thing. I know my account is valid, and I have no problem purchasing music on my computer, but when I attempt to do so on my iphone, the purchase immediately disappears from the download screen as soon as I hit "buy" in the iTunes music store. It's not a matter of connection issues: My wireless connection is consistent and strong. It has also happened repeatedly, no matter where I am located or the time of day. Please let me know if you find a fix!

  • Nokia store client is not working on my nokia 603

    a few days ago nokia store client was working properly, there was no problem with client. But suddenly it stoped working and is unable to display any page from the nokia store. It is not displaying applications page and when I try to give feed back or want to sign in, it says, connection error. Although other sites are opening in web browser, there id no connection error. When I load the client it displays, 'There was a problem opening this page. It could be a lost connection or a slow network. Check your connection or try again later'. All sites are opening in web browser, then why it says, connection error? Can anyone help me!?

    Try the latest version of the Store client from Here ... To download, you need to log-in using the SAME credentials used on this Forum ...

    1. Make sure that the phone runs the latest software version. You can use Nokia Suite to check if there's software update available for your phone, refer to this link: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-updat​e/belle-asha-symbian-software-update/
    2. Check the network quality. If the connection is poor the Store application or downloading applications may not work correctly. 
       Try to use alternate connection types such as WLAN, 3G or GPRS/EDGE. If there is still issues with network coverage, you must contact the network operator for assistance.
    3. Clear the cached memory on the phone 
     Go to the device Menu
    Select Web
    Choose Options -> choose Settings
    Click on Privacy data
    Choose Clear Privacy data -> Choose Cache.
    4. Uninstall and reinstall your Nokia Store application. for Symbian^3 devices can be downloaded also from http://lr.ovi.mobi/store/new-symbian-3 directly to phone or download the package to your PC and install it via Nokia Suite.

     Assuming you have a Symbian device you can download the Store QML Client from HERE. Just log in with your Nokia account credentials, download the installer and transfer it to your phone. Then just tap on the file to initiate the installation wizard.
     This will replace the Store Client that is on your phone and also installs the correct QT dependancies.

    You may either use the e-mail facility over HERE or use the support link at the Nokia store site.. (refer Attachment) . Provide all purchase details including the Transaction ID and you should receive a fresh download link...

    sonujee - Try to uninstall and re-install the Nokia Store application.  Go to Nokia Store web site http://store.nokia.com and re-download the Nokia Store application.

    when I try to connect to Nokia store via my mobile phone Nokia C7-00  it says first Nokia Store Update Required (versiob 3.30.018-21.1 MB)
    I download it couple of times and once it try to install it says update error...
    So I was trying to up date it via my lap top(windows 7)
    whene I try to connect thru Nokia Suite it says could not connect to server
    I did check all my fire wall setting no success...

    If you need to complain directly to nokia you need to write a good old fashioned letter to the nokia office in your country. As an example I know people in the UK who have had good return communication and good end results after doing this. I believe it's a legal requirement that all written complaints have to be replied to in the UK, but not totally sure.
    You can get the address by contacting nokia care by telephone and asking them for the complaints address.
    Be aware though that nokia will never directly supply you with spare parts that are not designed to be changed by the end user. It is totally against their policy, just like many other manufacturers.
    The only sources of parts to the end user are online stores or ebay but fitting is always at your own risk and cannot be discussed here.  Some totally independent (not chains like CPW) care points may also supply parts, at their discretion.
