  • Nokia Suite/Nokia Store finally working

    I had not tried downloading/installing an app from the Nokia store from within Nokia Suite in quite a while, as it never seemed to work. On a lark, I decided to see whether anything had changed since installing the latest version of Nokia Suite. To my surprise, the selection of apps offered was correct for my phone; the selected apps were downloaded and installed in one step, and the 4 apps that I tried out all worked. I'm glad that Nokia has finally apparently gotten the kinks out of the procedure, as this is now on par with its equivalent through Apple/iOS or through Google/Android.

    I think development of Nokia Suite has already stopped.

  • Nokia store client is not working on my nokia 603

    a few days ago nokia store client was working properly, there was no problem with client. But suddenly it stoped working and is unable to display any page from the nokia store. It is not displaying applications page and when I try to give feed back or want to sign in, it says, connection error. Although other sites are opening in web browser, there id no connection error. When I load the client it displays, 'There was a problem opening this page. It could be a lost connection or a slow network. Check your connection or try again later'. All sites are opening in web browser, then why it says, connection error? Can anyone help me!?

    Try the latest version of the Store client from Here ... To download, you need to log-in using the SAME credentials used on this Forum ...

    Thank you for posting and welcome to Nokia Support Discussions! 
    1. Make sure that the phone runs the latest software version. You can use Nokia Suite to check if there's software update available for your phone, refer to this link: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-updat​e/belle-asha-symbian-software-update/
    2. Check the network quality. If the connection is poor the Store application or downloading applications may not work correctly. 
       Try to use alternate connection types such as WLAN, 3G or GPRS/EDGE. If there is still issues with network coverage, you must contact the network operator for assistance.
    3. Clear the cached memory on the phone 
     Go to the device Menu
    Select Web
    Choose Options -> choose Settings
    Click on Privacy data
    Choose Clear Privacy data -> Choose Cache.
    4. Uninstall and reinstall your Nokia Store application. for Symbian^3 devices can be downloaded also from http://lr.ovi.mobi/store/new-symbian-3 directly to phone or download the package to your PC and install it via Nokia Suite.

     Assuming you have a Symbian device you can download the Store QML Client from HERE. Just log in with your Nokia account credentials, download the installer and transfer it to your phone. Then just tap on the file to initiate the installation wizard.
     This will replace the Store Client that is on your phone and also installs the correct QT dependancies.

    You cannot roll back. Only a Nokia care point can do that for you. If you have tried the hard reset and format of the memorycard with no luck - I would take it to a Nokia care point anyway to get it sorted.

    Please try download Store QML from Betalabs and try log in.
    If this does not work please visit the Nokia Website or call your local Nokia care line and try reset your password and try relog in.

    hey guys. after hard resetting the N8, nokia store wont open. i also did a restore and it still wont open. also ninja fruit wont open also but angry birds opens. and not all applications are backed up. i am missing 4 applications and one of them is opera. anyone knows a solution? my main problem now is nokia store so i can download the other applications. thank you in advance.

    at last!!! i did it. i will share the steps i took to fix it so other users that they have the same problem can fix it. i went to this site http://www.swf2go.com/downloads/qt/ and i downloaded all 5 files and i installed them on my phone by numbering order starting from the 1st one. (note all applications must be closed during the installations). when i finished with the installations i followed the link that JudaZ told me ( http://lr.ovi.mobi/store/new-symbian-3 ) from my browsers phone and nokia store started the installation. and thats it. its all working now. thanks JudaZ for the link

    Hi, I just got a new nokia E5 and the first app I downloaded from Nokia Store was free and via the PC suite which worked fine. Then I bought an app from my phone, it appears in 'purchase history' but NOT in My Stuff and sits at 0% on download. I tried downloading a different free app from the mobile but it too sits at 0%. Seems to be an issue downloading direct to the mobile but for the paid app it says I do not have the option to install via PC suite??? why?
    Also I've installed all recent updates for PC and phone.

    Restarted phone and the app now appears in 'My stuff' and downloaded correctly.

  • Skype for Symbian / Nokia Store Issue / Update Sky...

    Well this is actually utterly and bitterly disapointing from Skype and / or Microsoft and could actually be embarassing... In what world are they living? Greed and more profit making? Excuse me but we did not see any official statement yet concerning the drop / end of Skype support of the Symbian platform.
    1) How come Skype randomly disapears from the Nokia Store without warning or an official statement from Skype and / or Microsoft?
    2) Why would there be discriminating towards Symbian / Nokia users who are forced to use an out of date version of Skype without support for Microsoft account login?
    3) Isn't Skype / Microsoft shooting themselves into their own legs? Own goal? Why would I spend for a new Nokia phone using Windows 8 Mobile OS ( and I have the money to do it ) when I got a fully working Symbian Nokia that does all what I need? Carefull, this strategy might just make people disgusted of Nokia thus indirectly the Windows 8 Mobile OS.... as we all know of the relationship between Nokia and Microsoft nowadays.
    4) The ridiculous statements I see on these forums about the phasing out of Symbian sometimes make me laugh. The developpers are just causing this artificial phase out by just being like rats leaving a sinking ship. Just show with proof that the Symbian needs a phase out... From what I know it is still very popular in Europe and Africa.
    I am suprised that I had to have an outburst on these forums... I am a huge fan of Skype and the Microsoft products... Xbox and so on. But well anyway these were my points. I hope that this will be taken into consideration even though I am sure Symbian users would not ask too much, an update to be able to use the Microsoft account login would stop the inegality between the platforms concerning the ability to talk to our Msn / messenger contacts....

    Yes your Skype for Symbian FAQ (6/2013) was of great help a few days ago when I was surprised to find that Skype had mysteriously disapeared from the Nokia / OVI Store. I had an issue with the Skype install I had on my Nokia 500 running Symbian Belle, on which I had installed Skype from Nokia / OVI store since last year, so I had to un-install it. So I went for a re-install but nothing... no Skype on Nokia / OVI Store so I tried your FAQ.
    There is an issue from this part of the FAQ:

  • Browsing Nokia store with other browsers

    recenlty i found it more handy and really fast when i brows Nokia store with Opera mini. But when i want to download the App i found there, the download link doesnt work. There are 2 liknks there. One saying download via pc and the other dowoload on mobile; and since i am using my phone, i tried the "download on mobile" link several times. But all what happens is that the page reloads and nothing else. Why is that pls?

    Seems like you're using the Full PC version of Nokia Store (http://store.ovi.com ) which only allows dowloading of apps using Nokia Suite and the send to mobile is not for s40 phones.
    If you want to use it on your mobile, you should try the version optimized for your mobile i.e. http://store.ovi.mobi/

  • Nokia browser not working after update

    I recently updated the nokia browser and now it's not working. When i try to use an app that uses the browser it attempts to use ovi browser but it's not compatible and it displays a message saying that the app is running but can't display. Anyone else have the same issue? And does anyone know a fix for this. Oh I forgot i'm using a Nokia Asha 303.

    Thank you for your post and welcome to the forums!
    Try to re-install Opera Mini using Nokia Suite, please follow this link to download it. If the application still does not work, you could reset your phone by dialling *#7370# followed by your security code (the default security code is 12345, unless you have changed it). Before reset, it's a good idea to back up your phone as it will remove all data on the device.
    When your device boots up, restore your backup (remember to untick settings) and re-install all your applications from "my stuff" section on Nokia Store.
