My inbuilt Nokia store application within my Nokia Asha 305 keeps quiting without any error messages.What do i do to resolve this.I recently updated the S40 OS could that be the reason. And why?

I've been working on some actionscript 3 system. And all of a
sudden, it wouldn't execute anymore. When I pushed CTRL-Enter in
Flash CS3, a white screen would open up (instead of the normal
flash program) and no trace-output would be given.
Three hours later I found the cause of this weird problem.
It's (simplified) the line:
var value:Number = -(true ? 1 : 0); // This one doesn't work.
Put this line in your script, and your entire program won't
execute. And without any error message! I was wondering, why is
that? By the way, the following lines do work:
var a:Number = -(2*3+4); // Gives -10.
var b:Number = (true ? 1 : 0); // Gives 1.
var c:Number = -b; // Gives -1.
var d:Number = 0-(true ? 1 : 0); // Gives -1.

So, my guess is that the code (true ? 1 : 0) gives some sort
of data type which is not a Number, and therefore doesn't except
minus signs. But that wouldn't explain why it doesn't even give an
error. So what IS wrong with it?

ok - well if these numbers are used to begin the execution of
a method in your file, it's likely that they are not firing up
because the syntax here is incorrect. in order to use this type of
conditional operator (which i do use quite often as well, handy
convenient ;) the structure should be:
var value:Number = (condition) ? 1 : 0;
'true' is not a 'condition' but a boolean result, so it
should not be evaluated in the way have been using it here -
however 'true' is 'true' so the result will always be 1 (the first
expression in the operator) - i'm not certain why you would need a
-0 result and if you are always wanting a 'negative' number then
use that number in the return expression, as in:
var value:Number = (condition) ? -1 : 0;

I am running Mac OSX 10.4.11. According to the System profiler the CD/DVD drive is a "PioneerDVD-RWDVR-112D." When I compare the information under this heading, the only unusual difference from my iMac is that the G5 reads "Burn Support: Yes (Unsupported)." My iMac reads "Burn Support: Yes (Apple Shipping Drive)."
Under the System Preferences the options are set to "Ask what to do" when a blank CD or DVD is inserted. Music CD set to open iTunes, Picture CD set to open iPhoto, Video DVD set to open DVD player.
Do you have any suggestions?

Concurrent Program ends in Error without any error message - Apps 11.0.3

Hi,
We have a concurrent program which errors out sometimes without any error message in log file or anywhere else. This happens intermittently. Is there anyway to see why this happens ( to see error message somewhere else - like FND tables ?). Any feedback is appreciated. This happens in Oracle Apps 11.0.3.

Is this a custom or standard concurrent program?
Was this working properly before? If yes, what changes have been done recently?
Did you try to relink the concurrent program executable file and see if this helps? Also, you could enable trace/debug and submit the request again and see if more details are collected in the logs -- See (Note: 296559.1 - FAQ: Common Tracing Techniques within the Oracle Applications 11i/R12).

PO Approval stuck in error without any Error message

Hi All,
we have few notifications for PO Approval where they are stuck in error without any error message. they are also not showing in the worklist of the approver nor in the wf_notifications table. please help on this on how to solve this. we have done various options to solve the issue like skip/rewind/suspend/retry. but none of them works..... below is an extract of such an notification -

Can you find any errors in the Workflow log file?

Photoshop cs2 crashes and reboot windows xp without any error message when I try to open a file

I downloaded the trial version (assessment for thirty days) of Adobe Photoshop cs2. Once installed the trial version, the program works correctly, except for a basic function: to open files and modify them. Any image files (jpeg-gif-png-tiff-bmp-psd) on press command FILE>OPEN, or Ctrl+O, to open it, sends the system in crash, and without any warning message, send to "restart" the operating system, in my case , windows xp.
I use also photoshop cs, and it works correctly and allows to open file image also; but not with cs2.
What's the problem?

Need more details. Which iMac? Which OS? When does it shut down, under what circumstances? What are you doing when it happens? Is it reproducible, i.e. can you make it happen? Does it appear to be getting very hot before it shuts down?
Open Console in Applications>Utilities and navigate to system.log. Do you see any messages related to shutdown from the time when this has happened? Enter "shutdown" in the filter field, upper right corner.

WL510 startup hangs without any error messages.

I have installed WebLogic 510 on a Sun Sparc with Solaris 5.7
following WebLogic installation guide(which I have used to
successfully install other similar machines). We are using
JDK 1.2.2_06(with the three necessary OS patches installed).
When I try to start WebLogic from command line(see below)
using script, it just hangs and sits there without giving any
error messages. Is there anything obvious that I have missed?

Why can't I log onto my itunes store? I enter the correct password and it brings me back to the screen as if I was not logged in without any error message. If I enter an incorrect password it says so. I just received a replacement 4s iphone

I just received a replacement iphone (4s with ios7) but whenever I try to log into my itunes store, after I enter my password, it acts as if I never logged in. If I enter an incorrect password it tells me so, but no error message at all when I enter the correct password - nothing happens. My itunes is up to date.

Have you tried going to Settings>iTunes and App Stores (or just Store) and signing out and then signing in again?

I want to move folders with the VBS MoveFolder methode, but in DIAdem I run in problems. When I use the following comman    fso.MoveFolder(project_folder & test_folder, project_folder & test_folder & "\" & test_ & " " & test_count)
I get error message
"During call a sub routine no parentheses are allowed!"
When I remove the brackets and use    fso.MoveFolder project_folder & test_folder, project_folder & test_folder & "\" & test_ & " " & test_count
I get the error message
"Invalid sub routine call."
How I have to use the command right?
(the text of error messages is free translated from German Version of DIAdem 11.0! Take only the sense, not the exact wording!)

Hello Sven!
Just add a 'Call' at the beginning of your first line will solve the syntatic error. I recommend always to use 'Call' and parenthesis.
But there is a fundamental problem in your code: MoveFolder moves a folder from a source to a new destination and the old source folder will be deleted. You try to move a folder to a location below the same folder. If the MoveFolder wouldn't recognize these situtation and throws an error all of your data would be deleted!
Just print out your paths in a Messagebox to clearify the situation.

J2sdk-1.4.2 installer quits without any error on xp

I can't install j2sdk-1_4_2_04-nb-3_6-bin-windows.exe downloaded
from java.sun.com on xp sp1 (all latest patches).
After "Instalation Preview Panel" installer quits and do nothing.
I can't find any logs, but I found at "documents and settings\fx\local settings\temp"
probably unpacked installer files. (I'd deleting them always before next try)
I've uninistalled any JAVA / JRE etc. downloaded ealier from www.java.com
but it not helps. I also close all not native xp processes (incl. firewall, anti-virus,
web/ftp/databases servers etc.) before installation and it do not change anything :(
I can't also install other java based applications for the same reason or
installers hangs. The graphics of form's elements of installer's window looks
corrupted.
Before uninstall and after reinstall JRE from java.com applets works fine.
Netscape 7 also works good.
So,... why it is impossible to install J2sdk?? What should I do?

I've done what you suggested, but unfortunately it does not
solve the problem. SDK installer window dissapear at the
same moment as ealier. GUI of installer is broken still
(ex. scroll bars are all grey without keys and any graphics,
radio boxes are invisible etc.).
I couldn't uninstall one java based program, so I deleted
it's files manually (I also deleted many other java files from
windows/programs/documents directories incl. microsoft
dlls related to java, so I think the problem could be not with
files but in registry. I'm affraid it may be very difficult to manually
delete all java related registry entries.
Next I have tried older version and succesfully installed
JRE and SDK 1.3.1-11 and included samples works fine,
but installer's 1.4.2 GUI looks bad and it won't install still.

I am using datasocket in seperate vi, with error catching, but network slowdown causes labview to crash without any error message ...

I have a master computer setup as a datasocket server with several vi's that publish. I have about 5 other computers each with a vi that reads the data socket publisher. The interval at which the 5 vi's read is every 15 minutes, concurrently. It seems that when ever there is a network slow down, LabVIEW crashes catastrophically, even though I have timeouts in the datasocket readers. Is this error related to the datasockets not being able to handle the slow down or something else? Should I use another technique - if so - which is more reliable (FTP, TCP/IP?). This bug has been hounding me for several MONTHS.

One thing I forgot to mention - the 5 datasocket readers are also web servers, serving out the front panels to the web after getting updated. Well, after weeks of trial and error, would you believe that if I turn off the web server logging, everything works fine. I have had it off for a week now and no crashes. I first discovered this by realizing that if I turned off the web server everything ran fine (which would be totally useless for my application), so then I searched this site and found an off the cuff remark about the web server logging function causing crashes for an unrelated problem. I figured what the heck, I'll disable it and see what happens. So far so good, I am still keeping my fingers crossed ...

Not for all file for some files. Any specific reason? Any idea?

I have tried that path, but in my "Application Data" folder there is no folder named "Dr Watson". So I am not able to see that log report. (I have restarted my machine) If you have time to check my indesign file I'll send it you personally.
