Nokia SU-8W Keyboard Layouts

Hello!
I'm Italian and i'm trying to use Nokia SU-8W bluetooth keyboard with Nokia E51, but connecting the keyboard I see it has only a few layout profiles (American, German, Finland, Swedish, Danish, Norway, Russian).
I need a Italian layout, 'cause of accented letters. Anyone knows if it's possible to make layouts for this keyboard?
I also have a Logitech diNovo bluetooth keyboard, not portable, and connecting with E51 (same software on cell phone) it has Italian layout and a dozen others! Why Nokia doesn't?

Message: The keyboard layout you've desgined for Symbian^3 / Symbian Anna looks awkward to use. The letters Q, and A should not be aligned. Have a look at the keyboard layour I've made. Please consider this layout and use it on Symbian^3 / Symbian Anna before you release the next update on Q2.

Yeah it seems small. But take in mind that i DID NOT reszied the keys. That's the original size.

Keyboard Layout e71

hi everyone! i was wondering if anyone knows what can be done to change the nokia Keyboard layout in the phone.
i just recently changed my nokia keyboard to an english layout type previous one was spanish layout type, so all the characters in the previous KB remain in the phone so they are all in different position for example:
if i press "?" i would get "." and so on with different characters. if anyone has got any idea o how to configure the phone to the english sort please help me!!! i would appreciate that very much

Did you try the Fn+Spacebar combination? This should bring up the language menu from which you can select the writing language.

C3-00 keyboard layout english after repair

Hello Guys!
I had some problems with my C3-00, so I bring it no Nokia Care Support and they send it me back with the newest Firmeware and all things that were coruppted are now fine!
BUT: I'm using my Phone in Austria, so my mother tongue is German and the C3 is set to "German (Deutsch)" but the keyboard Layout is now englisch!! (
I recognized it because when I press the "Y" button on my Handy, I get a "Z" and any other Charakters are changed.
How can I set the keyboard layout to German?
BTW: I bought my C3 in Austria but NOW its a englisch keyboard layout!
Please help me guys!!

I dont have an s40 phone and I dont have the menu structure memorized, but you should check under settings if there is a writing language option. Chainge it to German.

Trying to change the keyboard layout on my 5800

I simply want to change the keyboard layout to Dvorak (because that is the layout I use). It is not one you can buy the phone with.
I've done many hours of searching and it seems the only thing that may have done it was MagicKey which can remap keys. However MagicKey is now UNUSABLE because it is not signed and the Symbian people do not allow you to sign it in any way (even self sign) if you are not the original developer of the app.
Am I missing something ? Why is Nokia's S60 platform so closed ?

In E51 is Wireless BT keyboard application, but it is from 2006 year and it has not czech layout. I am tried install new sw for nokia BT keyboard from pages (2008), but is impossible install it into E51.

Lumia Black Update has changed the keyboard layout

I updated to Lumia Black on my 920, and the keyboard layout changed - most importantly, the space bar is smaller, and the comma moved, which means all of my messages typed now,look,like,this,
Can you revert the whole update or change the keyboard? It's enough for me to abandon the phone (that and the fact the screen appears to have been heat damaged by the wireless charger)

My C6-00 keyboard layout

Hey,
I bought my C6-00 in the european version in the Czech Republic (CZ normally use qwertz ). The keyboard is printed as qwerty but when I write using it, it uses qwertz layout. This really annoys me since it is not only mixing yz, but also write all the other characters like dot, comma... differently.
Do you please have any idea, if I can change the layout somewhere in the phone or if it is even possible?

They keyboard layout in devices with a physical full keyboard like the C6-00 would not switch between QWERTY/QWERTZ/AZERTY layouts according to language settings.

N810 slidy keyboard layout change

I will appreciate if you give me an advise or any help on slidy keyboard layout change.
I have russian keyboard and enlish letters are also there on the buttons but to use it I need to push SHIFT then Fn and then the key for english character to appear.
Is there a way to type in english constantly in this case?

FYI, it is possible to remap keys using xmodmap, so that
for instance you can make FN-; generate "|" instead of
"£"
However, when I tried adding xmodmap to /home/user/.profile,
I bricked my device (had to remove the battery, reinsert and
re-flash). Not sure why; worked on my Linux desktop.

Nokia C6 bulgarian keyboard

Hi I'm from Bulgaria and I have a Nokia C6 with menu in Bulgarian, but not have even a Bulgarian or Russian keyboard to write. When will be updated with these keyboard layouts for Bulgaria because they are used in our country? More Bulgarian ofcourse, but in the absence and Russian are used but are not available in the phone menu. Тhe product code on Nokia C6 here is 0599048.

Update to 20.0.041 but again I not have Bulgarian for write. From Finland(Nokia Corporation) advised me to change my hardware and switched to another Nokia Devise (Like Nokia E5) these were the only solution because it provides Nokia C6-00 not write to the Bulgarian at all versions of software! Is the N900 going to have various keyboard layouts...

Hi on one of the forums which i moderate, many people have been asking about the keyboard layouts of the Nokia N900.
Currenlty the pictures and info we found suggests there is only going to be the normal "qwerty" layout.
But what about france with their "azerty"? Or Hungary with "qwertz" and áéőú letters?
As a person, who uses mobile internet a lot on i'd find these layouts rather useful and i'm sure, there are many others like me out there.
So is nokia planning to release the phone in the countries mentioned above with their own layouts? Or are we all going to get the normal "qwety" model?

I believe it does.. I saw a post on talk.maemo.org (official Maemo forum) of a french user who was ordering from the UK to get a phone without a AZERTY french keyboard because he wanted a QWERTY one..
There are a number of country varients, though apparently only the layout differs..
Some suck..
I'm not sure which, but some languages make use of extra keys for extra symbols so "up" and "down" are now FN+left and FN+Right!!
No dedicated up and down buttons..
I think I'm going to be sick.. I really feel for them.. and I'm quiet happy to be a qwerty ascii user

How can i disable Illustrator from changing my language / keyboard layout.

I have an azerty laptop and a qwerty external keyboard. Switching from any application to illustrator changes the language and therefore also my keyboard layout. No other application does this.

But i have a laptop with azerty layout (Belgian) and an external qwerty keyboard (Brittish).
So i need both languages selected in the System Pref >> Keyboard >> Input source
When "Brittish" is selected and i switch from Apple Mail to Photoshop to Skype to Chrome to ... it all works fine.
Only when i switch to Illustrator it also changes my language/layout from "Brittish" to "Belgian" and stays like that. I need to manually change it back in the menu in Finder.
I like the brittish better (with a qwerty keyboard) because of the shortcuts (eg. sqare brackets -> shortcuts for order in Illustrator are not even on an azerty (Belgian) keyboard).
Any idea?

I'm currently in Finland for work, and I bought a Macbook Air, it's brand new so.
But I didn't thought of the keyboard layout, which is of course Finnish;
Do you think I can exchange this MBA with a one with the correct layout back in my country;
Or is it better to return this MBA here, and buy a new one once I'm home ?
I'd like to be able to return or exchange the MBA in my country, is the refund/exchange policy international ?

The European law state you have anyway a 7 day open box return policy for this kind of product, I think I'll go to the store and ask if they can exchange it for one with international/US keyboard or give me a refund if they havn't got one.
I got a callback appointement with Apple Support France tomorrow (my country) to ask them if it's possible to use the warranty to exchange layout. But as you said, I don't think it's possible since the keyboard is working perfectly fine..
