Nokia Suite 3.2.100 Contacts Sync not working on T...
Hello,
Just upgraded my Thunderbird to version 8.0 and contacts synching stop working with error code 83950003. It was working fine with TB 7.0.1.
Any timeline as to when a solution or fix is available.

Thunderbird sync of adressbooks is actually not supported from any other phone makers what I know.
Is there any other phone brands that support sync of Thunderbird adressbooks?
Well I have used Thunderbird during a lot of years on some computers and Nokia has been the only only one with support.
I think there is time to understand that Thunderbird is only good as an email client for example IMAP accounts and of course exchange accounts.
You people should really take a look at Microsoft Office 365 (USD 6 per month) http://www.microsoft.com/en-gb/office365/online-software.aspx
if you syncing several computers and phones and don´t want problems with contacts, calender and perhaps even todo and notes.
Thunderbird is a mess when transfering accounts from a computer to another computer if not Imap and messages saved on server...l but I still like Thunderbird as an email client on computers for exchange accounts that is in-the air with backup by exchange.
I dont expect Nokia to continue supporting Thunerbird in the future as no one else does it....Not even Funambol does it..
Another thing, during the last few years there seem to be rather small development to get the Thunderbirds calender, notes to be a real choice...I think for example Zimbra (www.zimbra.com) is far better than thunderbird as a desktop email client and a half of dozen more...well just some thoughts from me.
I just think Thunderbird during the years always ends up messy and it is still half baked and will never mature...
PS1 When updating Thunderbird you should get a message if it is compatible so why update Thunderbird if Nokia hasn´t updated? DS
PS2 In Q1-2012 all Synbian will have Microsoft Mobile office for free, and that is among the best news for Symbian users in a long time DS

Nokia Suite 3.2.100 Contact backup
I am using Nokia Suite 3.2.100. Is there any way I can save my contacts from phone as csv file or as individual contacts (vcf) file? Earlier version, it was storing contacts in mdb file, now in which format and where the files are stored in the system ? I am not instrested to put my backup on internet.
Have u tried copying them to a notepad file from the Nokia Suite directly instead of the folders in ur installed files?

Frustrated w/my i4. spent 4 hrs w/verizon and 1 1/2 @ apple store. still issues. my contacts denote contact duplication (some, not all, have duplicated 3 times). Also, experienced lost contacts (my kids, some biz associates).
Apple conducted hard reset...and when I plugged in, there was an error message...and then the contact duplication.
NOW...the mobilme has an error "contacts could not be synced due to inconsistent data. (says to go to the Preferences to confirm. not much to confirm as it only asks for order (last or first name sort) and phone numbers (will format automatically).Hello and welcome....

I think that message is referring to System Preferences on your Mac. (Applications/System Preferences). Make sure have the boxes checked for the items you want synced and select the box next to: Synchronize with MobileMe.

Open System Preferences then select the Sync tab. Then click the Advanced tab.
Click: Reset Sync Data
Click: Done.
Restart your Mac and your iPhone.

A7000-a Google contact sync not working (S142)
I have already mentioned this in other discussion thread but was never got noticed by lenovo staff. So once again for your kind infirmation I am explaining about this issue. After the s142 update any new contact added under the Google account is not getting synced to google servers though in setting-> accounts-> google accounts its always showing synced recently but changes don't get updated on the server. This is another serious issue in s142 update. Pls don't let it unnoticed. My humble request to lenovo staff is to kindly look into this matter . At least acknowledge this issue. I don't know how else I can bring this issue to your notice. People will loose each and every contacts added after this update.
PS: Issue exist even after factory reset.
MY PHONE LENOVO A7000 CANNOT AUTO CONNECT WIFI WHEN IT IS LOCKED.
I MEAN IF WIFI CUTS DOWN AND COMES BACK AGIN AFTER FEW MINUTES THEN THE PHONE WOULD NEVER GET AUTO CONNECT TO THE WIFI UNLESS I SWITCH THE LIGHTS BACK ON AND HENCE MY DOWNLOADING GETS STUCKED.

Contact sync not working OS X Server

I have a weired problem. I have a Mac Mini server at home serving mail calendar and contacts to users. One user, me, have a problem with syncing contacts on OS X. iOS work fine. I set up my account in System Setttings, Accounts as an OS X server account and everything seems OK. calendar, mail notes reminders and messages work just fine, but contacts show up empty?!?. I then just for fun set up a parallel carddav account in contacts.app for the same server, and that works?!! I cant see any difference between the 2 accounts. same server, same username and password.
I installed Round Cube webmail yesterday and it exhibits the same problem. no contact sync. If i create a new contact in Round Cube server addressbook, it shows up in iOS, but still not in the OS X server account on my mac. In my working parallel account it does show up. and sync between iOS and MAC both ways, but changes made outside of Round Cube does not show up in round cube.

Non iCloud contact sync not working with iPhone 4S and Microsoft Windows/Outlook
Trying to sync contacts without success! Have iPhone 4S and Microsoft Windows, not using iCloud. I've gone through the Info route and told it to sync but the data doesn't transfer. Any idea why?
what version of Outlook are you using. I know right now its not compatible with Outlook 2013.

Contact 'Sync' not working. Am I doing something wrong?
I am completely new to iPhone, but willing to give it a shot before I call it quits. I was told if I activate my Gmail account, all contacts would sync onto the phone - which is not the case [or at least didn't work right for me]. That said, I searched on the web and in the iPhone Support Community for an answer and haven't found specifically what I am looking for. This is where I am at now:
I've exported my Gmail contacts to my MacBook's Address Book. I see all the contacts there from my Gmail account.
I've already gone into iTunes and plugged in my phone to Sync - choosing the contact options available, specifically related to my Gmail account. Again, not all contacts were synced.
I've also tried the Exchange Mail settings as suggested by Google's website, and that hasn't worked.
What am I doing wrong? Is there a way to Sync my MacBook's Address book to the iTunes folder so it will all Sync to my phone accordingly?

Nokia suite 3.2.100 software updates "something ha...
I updated mu Nokia Ovi Suite to Nokia Suite 3.2.100 . It installs just fine. I can connect my N8 to my laptop. But when I hit the Software Updates tab i get the message "Something has gone wrong" stating that some files are missing and I should remove the Nokia Suite and do a reïnstall. I've done so three times by now. Even deleted everything "Nokia" off my laptop, even cleaned the register of all Nokia referred items. It reïnstalls fine everytime. But the Software Updates tab keeps failing.
When my N8 is not connected, I do not get the error.
My N8 is running Anna and there ate mo updates available (wifi). My laptop is running Vista Ultimate and is up to date with all Microsoft updates.
My previous Nokia Ovi Suite was running smoothly.
Who can help me?Here are the error messages in windows event log, I am using windows 7, 64 bit and the older version of ovi suite worked like a charm with my C7.

Nokia Suite 3.2.100 + Bluetooth == No connection
So I installed the Nokia Suite 3.2.100 on a computer with Windows 7 64-bit. The computer is running an Atheros 3100 series bluetooth adapter.
When I try to add a new device (tried E6-00 and N8-00) via Bluetooth here's what happens-
1. Nokia Suite finds the phone without any problems.
2. Pairing starts. Nokia suite displays a passcode to pair the phone.
3. I accept the pairing request on the phone
4. Windows starts to add the phone and all the different profiles/accessories on the phone. Nokia Suite displays the passcode page.
5. After all the devices are added, Nokia Suite says "failed to connect to device"
The same phones can connect over the USB cable and other bluetooth devices can connect to the computer without any problems. So what's going wrong here?
I had a similar problem once before on a different computer after upgrading my N8-00 to Symbian Anna. I had to hard reset the phone to get the bluetooth working again. I hope that's not what's needed once again!

Go to Solution.Solved. I updated the driver for the bluetooth stack. The driver was not found on the computer manufacturer's site. I had to hunt it down on the Internet. The drivers themselves are WHQL/Win7 certified.

the settings are gone, i guess. But even worse, I cannot get the iPad2 to play Full HD thru the Apple digital AV adaptor using apps that support (and advertise this), like AVPlayer HD. This definiteley used to work before one of the last iOS upgrades. (I am now at 5.1.1). -
Wifi Sync not working on iOS 6 and iTunes 10.7 with iPhone 4S
I am running Windows 7 64-bit but WiFi Sync is not working on either my iPhone 4S or my wife's iPhone 4S. Worked fine before upgrading. All settings look correct in iTunes 10.7 and on our iPhones 4S's. Already tried uninstalling iTunes and all associated Apple programs (Bonjour, Apple Mobile Device Support, Apple Application Support, etc) and reinstalling iTunes but no help. Temporarily disabling Norton Firewall did not help. If I hook up either of our two 4S phones via USB wire, they Sync and Backup fine. Just WiFi Sync not working. Can't initiate sync from iPhones because button is ghosted stating it is waiting for PC to be present. Phones don't show up under Devices in iTunes unless hard-wired via USB cable. Any suggestions?

I had somebody work on my OS 10.9.2 to speed it up. He failed and now Preview, Textedit, App Store, Mail (crashes) and Contacts do not work anymore. I can still use Safari, Firefox, Word, Photoshop and iPhoto etc. How do I get the Apple programs fixed again?
Try these in order testing your system after each to see if it's back to normal:
1. a. Resetting your Mac's PRAM and NVRAM
b. Intel-based Macs: Resetting the System Management Controller (SMC)
2. Restart the computer in Safe Mode, then restart again, normally. If this doesn't help, then:
Boot to the Recovery HD: Restart the computer and after the chime press and hold down the
COMMAND and R keys until the Utilities menu screen appears. Alternatively, restart the
computer and after the chime press and hold down the OPTION key until the boot manager
screen appears. Select the Recovery HD and click on the downward pointing arrow button.
3. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions: Upon startup select Disk Utility from the Utilities menu. Repair the Hard Drive and Permissions as follows.
When the recovery menu appears select Disk Utility. After DU loads select your hard drive entry (mfgr.'s ID and drive size) from the the left side list. In the DU status area you will see an entry for the S.M.A.R.T. status of the hard drive. If it does not say "Verified" then the hard drive is failing or failed. (SMART status is not reported on external Firewire or USB drives.) If the drive is "Verified" then select your OS X volume from the list on the left (sub-entry below the drive entry,) click on the First Aid tab, then click on the Repair Disk button. If DU reports any errors that have been fixed, then re-run Repair Disk until no errors are reported. If no errors are reported click on the Repair Permissions button. Wait until the operation completes, then quit DU and return to the main menu. Select Restart from the Apple menu.
Reinstall the 10.9.2 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Update (Combo).
4. Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks: Reboot from the Recovery HD. Select Reinstall Lion/Mountain Lion, Mavericks from the Utilities menu, and click on the Continue button.
Note: You will need an active Internet connection. I suggest using Ethernet if possible because it is three times faster than wireless.
Reinstall the 10.9.2 update: OS X Mavericks 10.9.2 Update (Combo). -

I had already re booted, but I rebooted again, the phone, router, comp (iMac)
I changed the name of my phone, I had a lot of hope riding on that idea, it sounded good, but (sigh) no go!

I clicked on internet sharing, but did not 'tick' the box (mine was off & is still is off now)
I 'ticked' the Wi-Fi tick box
and got out of preferences (i did not 'tick' the internet sharing box, dunno if that is importiant, just what i did)
my iphone 5 popped up in iTunes over Wi-Fi in like 5 seconds and has stayed there since i did a wifi sync

I am having an issue with active sync not working. I am looking for updates from my resource every 5 minutes for changes. My enviornment is such:

When I run these search filters I get results from my AD. When IdM runs the search they are coming back blank. Any ideas?

ChrisIf you have changed environments... or for some other reason, your USN number on the AD resource could be lower than the number passed in the query.
Manually edit a user in AD, and then check the USN number of the object. See if it is lower then the query is passing. If so, you can manually edit the IAPI_ResourceName configuration object and alter the USN number passed in the query. -
Nokia Suite 3.2 SIM contact storage and account lo...
Hi,
In order to backup onto my laptop, synch'd contacts using Nokia 3.2.100. Found that while contacts on memory card were synched successfully, SIM contacts weren't.
Is this a known issue with this version of Suite. Know that earlier Nokia PC Suite would backup SIM contacts also.
Also unable to login in to Nokia account from Nokia 3.2.100 as login tab keeps coming back. Use same login successfully on any web page.
Look forward to responses on above issues.
