Just wait for a bit longer ...May be upto 2-3 minutes to see if it responds ...
I too get this (sometimes - especially if I start clicking the menu before it loads completely) but wait for some time and it comes to life ..

  • Nokia Suite 3.8 does not recognize my 6233 with bl...

    Hello
Last year I had made some pictures with my Nokia 6233 and I transferred those pictures via Nokia Suite to my PC. Since then I had a couple of updates installed for the Nokia Suite and now I have the latest version on my PC.
But the newest version does no longer see my Nokia 6233.
    Anybody an idea ?
    Nel

I already uninstalled the Nokia Suite and the cable driver software and cleand the register (W7) on Nokia stuff.
Then I re-installed the nokia Suite but that didn't help. I don't have an USB cable at all.
It worked fine with bluetooth a year ago without problems. Nokia Suite doesn't recognize the phone at all, while my Blackberry Playbook bluetooth does recognize the phone and displays its name, although BB will only allow transfers with a BB phone.
So the phone's bluetooth is working correctly I think

      Hi  Shtru,
I will suggest you try and calibrate the device first by using the keypad, the steps to do this are as follows:
Menu > Settings > Phone > Touch input > Touch screen calibration. Follow the instructions on the screen.
    This should address your issue.
If this post answers your question, you can help others by clicking the green accepted solution' button.
Please ask your questions to the main board and not to my mailbox. Thank you.

The point is most of users use Nokia suite as a safe means of software upgrade. - No, OTA is safer than using Nokia Suite since you do not overwrite the whole firmware but just the upgraded/added bits.
Besides OTA updates cost more money  than internet upgrades. - Not if you use Wifi, as recommended for OTA updates
Those who dont have 3G will have to wait for hours and keep the phone plugged in to a charger and they cant use the phone till  software upgrade is complete. - So why own a smartphone if you don't have 3G or access to Wifi ? Surely the situation you describe is the minority exception rather than the rule ?
Nokia should ensure that all upgrades are available simultaneously across all channels and atleast thro' Nokia suite 1st. - Now that will be expensive for Nokia and can only lead to more delays if you insist on simultaneous release across all delivery channels.

  • How to block update for NOKIA SUITE?

It is very bad that NOKIA SUITE does not have any checkbox to limit update or make it possible MANUALLY.
How to do it as constant is update each day and I do not need.
I think when I send SMS per  NOKIA SUIT it will still not store message not even in NOKIA SUIT.

  • Nokia Suite and proxy settings

    Hi,
the suite has a big bug. Instead of using any Windows network connection, it defines its own proxy settings which is obviously nonsense. I entered the correct proxy credentials, it still fails to connect to the internet. If it would rely on Windows' own mechanisms, it could like just any other program.
Conclusion: Nokia suite is unusable in a business environemt.
    Olaf

In my campus where i live our network needs a proxy so the 1st problem was to download Nokia Suite. even i was not able to download it from its official site. Kindly look into this.
Now when i got it and installed i cannot find a button of settings as it is in rest of the s/w's. there is a button called Tools but its value is 0. Due to this iam not able to log into my account and furture proceed.
I have attached a screen shot of PC Suite window showing View, Sync and Tools buttons have a value 0.
    Kindly look into this matter.

  • Allow Nokia suite to support Nokia 301

going further is Nokia Suite supports Nokia 301 to sync contact and message?

No. There is basically no further development planned for Nokia Suite so it will not support any products launched in 2013 and going forward. This is described also in this FAQ: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/301/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141211
For connecting your phone to PC, you can use Nokia Connectivity cable driver.
One workaround for syncing contacts would be via Mail For Exchange: http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/301/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA141748

  • Task buttons in PC Suite 6.82.22.0 Do Not Respond

Having just purchased a new N80 phone and installed the latest version of the PC Suite I find that the following task buttons do not respond when clicked: Backup, Synchronise, Install Apps, View Multimedia, Store Images, Transfer Music, Manage Connections and Update Phone Software. The other bottons do respond when clicked. This problem applies to both USB and Bluetooth connections - the only oconnections I use. I read the previous post by 'knase' and tried all of the suggestions made there but this did not fix the problem.
The applications do start if I start them from the ApplicationInstaller in the folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia PC Suite 6\ ->. How do I resolve the problem I am having?
I am running Windows XP SP2.

    Like this:
    1. Go to http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Filemon.html and download Filemon (it is end of the page).
    2. Start FileMon.exe and click 'Options', 'Filter/Highlight..' and set string:*launchapp* to 'Include' option.
    3. Go to http://www.sysinternals.com/Utilities/Regmon.html and download Regmon (it is end of the page).
    4. Start RegMon.exe and click 'Options', 'Filter/Highlight..' and set string: *launchapp* to 'Include' option.
    5. Press 'Ctrl+X' to both tools and then open the task manager and select LaunchAppication.exe (or LaunchA~1.exe), press End Task button and then Ok.
    6. Start LauchApplication (Start > Programs > Nokia Pc Suite > Nokia PC Suite)
    7. Click button "Backup" and after that save log files and attach those in your response.

  • Nokia mail app is not responding in C1 01.

While checking my mail in nokia mail app in my NOKIA C1-01, mobile suddenly switched off and i restarted and restored factory settings and again switched on to check my mail again. The app is not responding ie. It is not opening and even Chat is not opening. I need a immediate help because i use it alot.

    hi mate,
have you checked via nokia Suite on your PC if there are any firmware upgrades available for your phone? if there are any, please update to the latest version offered. failing that, you can try re-installing your current firmware thru Nokia Suite.
if that doesn't work, then you need to take your phone tro Nokia Care for inspection: http://nokia.com/support

  • SMS sent from Nokia Suite is not saved

PC Nokia Suite (7.1.18.0) seems to be working fine on both Bluetooth and USB Cable with my Nokia 6300 (FW is V07.21).
EXCEPT, whenever I send SMSs from the Nokia Communications Centre, they are not saved anywhere.  I assume that they should save in NCC and immediately be replicated back to my phone, but that is not happening.  So I have no record of anything I have sent, unless I key it in onto my phone.
All off the other categories of SMS (Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Archive) seem to replicate OK between phone and NCC.  Why not the Sent messages?
And yes, I am sure that the messages are being sent - that was the first thing I checked
What am I (or the SW) doing wrong?
    Thanks

unfortunately I'm also suffering from lack of this feature. however I'm not sure which other mobile phone can do something like requested by author (and me ).
Suppose it has something to do with the way desktop software works with GSM phones, it probably just sends series of AT commands to GSM phone modem, initiating sending of message. Saving of message into "Sent" box may be not implemented into standard AT command set (but here I'm only guessing).
I've happened to work with old Siemens phone and it behaved almost same way, i.e. messages were sent but not saved in "Sent" box. However there was a trick - desktop software had not only "Send" but also "Save" button, and pressing of this button saved messages in "Drafts" box. So if I needed absolutely message to be saved in "Sent" box, I prepared messages and saved them to "Drafts". Later I should take my phone and send messages manually from phone, so at least I saved efforts on typing, but had to work from both PC and phone interfaces to send message.
I'm not sure if any "alternative" software for Nokia phones (like Oxygen Phone Manager) have this capability, but if you look at this screen http://www.oxygensoftware.com/en/products/opm2/images/SMSPictureMessage.gif you shall see there "Save" button which may possibly (?) implement same functionality.

  • Nokia Suite does NOT backup map favorites. Belle u...

I recently updated my E7-00 from Anna to Belle and lost all my map favorites in the process.
Although I did a full backup of my phone before the update I have since found out that Nokia Suite does not backup map favorites.
The Belle update did NOT make a copy of my map favorites, it wiped them out completely.
Nowhere have I seen that information before.  When I updated to Anna I did not lose my map favorites.
There should be a warning about this before starting the Belle update.
The Belle Update FAQ states that after the update one of the things one can do immediately is access map favorites - NOT!
I have since learned, by searching online, that I am expected to sync my map favorites online with a Nokia server.  I do not want to store my confidential information on someone else's server.  Additionally, I don't pay for data service because it is so expensive here in Canada.  So I would have to connect my phone via USB to my PC.
Nokia Suite backs up my contacts, photos, music, documents, etc.  Why not my map favorites?  In fact I store my music, photos, documents, and even contact information separate from my phone so I don't need Nokia Suite for that.  But how do I copy my GPS coordinates off my phone for backup?
2nd level tech support suggested I recreate them all by browsing the maps on my phone and selecting the locations.  That is so inaccurate, time consuming, and wrong.  Supposedly they have passed my problem onto 3rd level tech support.
Does anyone know if one can import map coordinates into a symbian phone?  I have many of the locations stored in another GPS application on a laptop.  I can export them from there.  That would be a partial solution.
    Thanks.
Note: cross posted under Discussions Main Page > Software > Nokia Suite

I might suggest a Wi-Fi connection for access to the 'net, but let me assume that storing anything on a different server is not an option.  So, what remains...
The least expensive, and simplest, method would be for you to buy any second Nokia phone that runs Nokia Maps.  I use Nokia's Phone Switch technology to transfer all my maps data to a second phone.  I'll have to do it again, so I can give you specific instructions on the "how", but the bottom line is it does work.
As to importing and exporting GPS Coordinates, I learned by accident that you can enter favorites by using GPS coordinates - and can also find the coordinates for something you have already entered.
A free program that I think is invaluable for using Maps on a Nokia, especially the N8, is "LeGPSData2".  I used their older version for years, until the certificate expired and I was unable to upload it to my N8, but the new version is considerably better.  You might find a way to do other things you mentioned with that program - and if not, you might suggest them (import/export) to the program author.
If you are as careful as you suggest you are, don't you have backups that you've already done on your PC?  Have you tried to find your GPS data in those backups?
I can't speak for others, but regardless of what Nokia saiys would or woud not happen during the phone update, I don't "trust" any of it.  I did my own backups two ways, as a complete bacakup on the PC, and as a phone backup on the memory card.  I "think" but can't confirm, that the GPS data was backed up by both of them.
You're right - Nokia should fix the Belle installation script to also backup and re-install the maps data, if there is something wrong, but on my phone it did it all correctly following their instructions (in addition to my other backups, which I never needed).
If I get some free time, I'll see if I can get the import/export to work using Maps and LeGPSData2.  It would be nice to do this to one location, multiple locations, or all locations.  It would be nice to send this data to another phone directly, or to save it as a file.
