    hello.
I'm trying to download apps on my computer and when I click 'Download via PC' it starts a download but then i get a message 'something went wrong (#400)!' and on nokia suite pops up 'Can't connect to service' etc.
Then I tried to sing in on nokia suite to try to download apps directly. I wrote my email and my password and when I clicked sing in I got a message saying: 'Could not sign in. There was a problem with connecting to your nokia account. Make sure the internet connection is working properly, and try again'.
I'm having this problem about five - six weeks now. And I can't download apps at all. My phone is nokia asha 201 and computer os is windows 7 32-bit.
    Please help me, please

  • 5230 ovi suite cannot find maps on device

new nokia 5230 and have been trying to upload maps to phone for hours, £30 credit wasted for internet connection and ovi suite keep saying cannot find maps or voice guidance files in your device. Did deleting cities folder and qf file still the same; tried to use pc suite as someone suggested but the link tells me to use ovi suite as well. No map at all in phone Please any suggestions???

    Hi Mkws,
To find the installed Maps and Navigation.
Connect your device to the Pc/Laptop
Open your OVi Suite, Goto --> View -> Go to -> Maps. On the left handside bottom you can find On your device, Below that select All. It will take a while to read your phone data. It will show you the Maps and the Voice Navigation installed in your device.
Please delete all your maps which ever already installed in your device by clicking on Delete All on your right hand side top.
Now you can download and install the maps and voice navigations once again one by one.
Before this if you find any update for your maps software please go ahead and do it, prior to downloading Maps.
Hope This will resolve the issue.

  • Nokia 925 cannot download Microsoft Outlook

just bought Nokia 925 but cannot download Microsoft Outlook.
Tried Nokia PC Suite but does not work. Get message phone is in "transfer mode". How can I change "transfer mode"?    Thanks rol48

The Nokia PC suite is not for Windows Phones. It will not connect.
The email app is already on the phone. It works as is.
The first thing to do is set your phone up with a Microsoft account. It is for email, contacts and your calendar. You have to have one to download apps from the store.

  • Nokia 6255i cannot download music

I have a Nokia 6255i and took my memory card to a friend's house that has a memory card reader on his computer. I put a bunch of music on my memory card there, but now I cannot transfer any music in MP3 format to my phone at my own house using the transfer cable I bought.
It will get to a certain percentage and then just stop regardless of whether is use file manager or music manager. I deleted all of the music that I had uploaded while I was at my friend's house, except one artist will not let me. It seems to have turned itself into a protected file and will not let me delete.
I have the most recent Nokia PC Suite. I CAN upload music to my phone if I change it to "Mobile Optimized Format." Do you HAVE to do it this way? Also, how do I delete this artist that has for whatever reason changed itself to a protected file?

    mrcooms,
you went to your friend's computer and put music into the memory card ? Did you then put the memory card to your phone ?
I am having some difficulties to understand how are you trying to put the music into the phone ? If it already is in the memory card, just insert the memory card into the phone ?

  • Ovi Suite not downloading maps

I connect my 5800 to my pc, then go to Maps, the application automatically connects to the maps server but it doesn't update the maps list on the left. At the moment only the continents are displayed. It also failed to find any maps installed on my device so I deleted the cities folder and qf file. Please help.

If youn deleted the cities folder and qf file, did you recreate the folder structure? After deleting you should reboot your phone and open maps application for a few minutes then reconnect to Ovi Suite.

  • Cannot sign in to Nokia account on Nokia Suite 3.2...

I need to update my E63 phone software but apparently I need to sign in to my Nokia account to do that.
Except I cannot do that, I keep getting told Nokia Suite cannot sign in to my Nokia account (at one point it said "cannot connect to server").
My internet connection is working fine, I have no proxies, and my Firewall settings are letting the suite through.
I found an FAQ telling me to get rid of expired certificates, but I did this and it did not help at all.
I can't even send feedback through Nokia Suite.
    Please help

    Hi Hedgehodge,
So to confirm, you've tried this:
Go to Internet Explorer > Tools > Internet Options > Content > Certificates > Trusted Root Certification Authorities. Delete all GTE CyberTrust certificates whose expiration date has passed. You should be left with one GTE certificate that is valid.
Also have you tried to update over the air?

  • Updating problems wit Nokia Suite 3.2.100

    Hi people.
My current firmware on the phone is: 200.21.012, RM-450, Nokia E63-3 (253.05)
Nokia Suite tells me there is an update for this phone but when i get to the stage of: 'Preparing to download'
    It says:
    Something's gone wrong.
There was a problem with Nokia suite. Please restart the program and try again. If the problem doesn't go away, uinstall Nokia Suite and download the latest version of the app from www.nokia.com/ovisuite. Error code: 12017
Anyway this is the latest version (currently available)
I have uninstalled it throughly removing EVERYTHING containing to word 'Nokia' from the registry.
Yet still i am getting this error.
Have already tried this method too:
    http://europe.nokia.com/search?qt=12017&np=other,products,services&cat=support&fullcontent=true&cnt=...
    No luck!
Is anyone able to help me?
    Thanks.

I finally have had my e63-3 RM450 product code (0583677 - Three Network Australia) updated from 200.21.012 (253.05) to system 411.21.001 (253.07). This was done at the Nokia Care Centre in Melbourne under warranty .
I was unable to upgrade using Nokia Suite 3.2 - even though it identified the correct 411.21.001 update as required. Nokia Suite mis-identified the phone as an RM-437 rather than an RM-450. I supplied the logs to Nokia Suite feedback and noted that I had SIM unlocked the phone from the Three Network.  Nokia Suite feedback's  response was to accuse me of flashing the phone with a new product code as part of the unlocking process - thus causing Nokia Suite to confuse the RM450 with a RM 437. In response I advised them that the phone had been unlocked using a code supplied by the Network operator Three/Vodafone Australia. I then attended the Nokia Care Centre in Melbourne to ensure that the phone carried the product code on the sticker - which it did. I provided the Nokia Care Centre with the email correspondence with Nokia Suite Feedback and the Melbourne team agreed to update the software under warranty.
There are later software updates available for the Nokia e63-3 - but these do not yet have Three/Vodafone Australia authorisation. That is an argument to take up with the Network owner who controls the authorisation of firmware updates for product code 0583677.
I note that the latest Nokia Suite 3.3.86 still misidentifies the phone as an RM437 instead of an RM 450.
On a final note - once updated to 411.21.001 - Skype would no longer automatically install from the website - it simply said Skype  was not available for this handset. However, manual installation of  Skype 1.5 was possible using the non-touch version for Symbian and works well.
Nokia Suite continues to have a problem with this model of phone.
For the record and anyone else who has this problem.

  • C5-00, Nokia Suite maps download problem

I have Nokia C5-00 mobile with the most resent software installed and Win7 ultimate with Nokia Suite 3.6.36. When I start to load the maps of different countries and 2 or 3 of the maps are completed I always get the massage that first I have to connect my phone. And then if I reconnect my phone, or I can download one more map, or immediately I get the same massage to connect my phone. Sometimes during the download of a map before it’s completed I get this massage, and then no matter what I do, restarting the Nokia Suite or reconnecting my phone I cannot download this map anymore, I get immediately the massage to connect my phone. I don’t know if there is any possibility of downloading the maps on my computer and then manually copy them on my phone?

    @SzKSz
It is possible to manually download map data and decompress the .zip files. Here are some links for latest 00.01.29.100 series of maps for use with your C5-00:http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Maps-Navigation-and-GPS/Map-Series-00-01-29-100/m-p/1639304/highligh...
Let me know if you require a specific country/region/state and ovikovi has posted previously how to apply (16) folders 0 - 9 and a- f to their appropriate location in E:\cities. As I am essentially a  Mac user have posted quite widely on manual map installation upon this forum.

  • South Africa Maps fail to download via Nokia Suite...

I have a Nonia N8. Just updated to the latest release of the os (Belle). All maps disappeared after OS update. I am trying to download the South African map via Nokia Suite (latest version as well: 3.5.34). This download fails without any error. Can see that the attempt to download happens but quicky disappears. I can, however, download maps from other continents, but no Africa maps. HELP PLEASE.

    @lapplesamy
If you want to try downloading manually plenty of posts by ovikovi or myself upon how to apply data to (16) folders 0 -9 and a - f in either E:\cities\diskcache or F:\cities\diskcache as appropriate:SouthAfrica

  • Nokia Suite failing to download maps

Ok. I am using 5800 xpressmusic. Today (30.06.2012) I updated my Nokia Suite to the latest version. My phones software version is up to date too. After update I decided to update my Maps too. But during update it said " no internet connection" and stopped to update process. There were no internet connection loss at that time because I was surfing internet. I tried again. This time it opened the list of maps (because my maps has gone during failed update process) But it could not download any maps. Nokia's circle is turning but no data is transfering. I tried Nokia Suite from Nokia Beta labs. After that I uninstalled/reinstalled nokia maps from my phone... But noting helped.
    This is my screenshot: http://i47.tinypic.com/2h3sfix.jpg
Ps: I installed my backup file from today before all off this but nothing has changed

    @hoverkraft
After un-installing Nokia Maps you may have to backup all data upon your 5800XM and reset device to "Out of box" state by keying in *#7370# followed by 12345 (default Nokia lockcode unless altered by user).
Your 5800XM is running Ovi Maps v3.06 not v3.04 as would have expected map of Turkey to be a bit larger?
Assuming that you have http://nds1.nokia.com/files/support/global/phones/software/ ovi_maps_installer_3.06_11wk23_b05_s60_5...installed upon device you can use latest 0.2.43.103 map data.
You might need to delete E:\cities + .qf file then re-start Maps application to re-create necessary folder structure for Nokia Suite to recognise.
As a last resort maps for Turkey could always be manually installed by downloading and decompressing Turkey
