Nokia Suite has stopped working

Above is the now dreaded message I constantly receive everytime I try to sync my Calendars and Tasks between my Windows 7 based laptop and Nokia C7 mobile phone. This started around the time that I updated to the latest version of Nokia suite 3.5.34. This is one of the most important aspects of my syncs. I uses this for work and I've spent the last few days desperately trying to find a solution.
What I've done so far:
Started with trying to repair Nokia Suite through Windows 7 uninstall programme (did this several times throughout process)
Also tried to repair sync through Nokia suite (also several times)
I then deleted Nokia Suite (using Windows 7 uninstall programme along with Device drivers etc)
Then re-installed Nokia Suite
plugged in C7 and re-installed Device drivers etc.
Deleted all Calendar events on my Nokia C7
Re-installed Nokia C7 software through Nokia Suite (after saving everything important)
Deleted Nokia Suite again and installed Beta version
Deleted Beta version and all files under /Appdata/Nokia etc
Installed fresh version of Nokia Suite 3.5.34 from Nokia website
Installed c7 device drivers
Sync.....
message still there... Nokia Suite has stopped working, Windows is checking for a solution to the problem. The final messages reads something like 'A problem caused Nokia Suite to stop working....'
WHAT PROBLEM!!!???
I've spent too many hours trying to sort out this.
I've sent several logged reports directly to Nokia through the Nokia Suite system.
If anyone has some ideas on what might be the solution to this frustration I would be very grateful.
Oh... and another thing. I've also deleted and re-installed several calendar events that I'd recently entered into my Outlook calendar, just in case there was something going on there.
Not to mention the numerous times I've used the Windows troubleshooter to try to figure this things out.
Sigh... I'm not daft, but this is ridiculously complicated for something that is meant to make life simple.
Many thanks in advance.

You might need to uninstall the Social Application on your phone and then install a new one.
    To uninstall:
    Go to Menu.
    Settings.
    Choose Already Installed.
    Scroll down to Social.
Press and hold on it and then select Remove.
Remove the Social Installer as well.
To install the latest version, just run the SW update of the phone and then install New Social.
Please let us know it this helps.

  • Satellite L300-1G8 - Microsoft Works Suite has stopped working

    Hiya,
first of all i will say i am only on my 2nd computer so im not exactly a brainbox on them.
I have a Satellite L300-1G8 with microsoft vista home premium 32bit.
I have only had this laptop for less than 2 months today when i was using microsoft works suite, word processor it suddenly shut down, i reloaded a document that it had auto saved and then closed it.
When i tried to open another blank document it let me do it but it wouldnt let me paste on what i needed.
Now i cant seem to open anything in microsoft works and if i try i get the message:
+"A PROBLEM CAUSED THE PROGRAMME TO STOP WORKING CORRECTLY. WINDOWS WILL CLOSE THE PROGRAMME AND NOTIFY YOU IF A SOLUTION IS AVAILABLE".+
What is this and why wont it work?
I have not used it much in fact i think it might be the first time. I have been on the microsoft site and its all greek to me, anyway the bit i did understand was it said "if your windows was pre installed go to Toshiba" or words to that effect.
I have been on the Toshiba site and thats all greek too. I dont understand any of it and i cant seem to find any help from them, the only help i can find is this site with all you clever people on solving our problems out for us.
So can you help, in simple language please.
    Thank you. Julia :D

    Hi
This is a simple generic error message that you will see always when programs or applications crash.
Something went wrong but I cannot say whats wrong with your MS works.
If you want you can check the event viewer for some errors but to be honest this will not help you a lot if you are not computer literate.
I gogoled a little bit and some people reported about the same error message in connection with MS Word but as I said above; this is a generic error message.
However, the people solve this problem only by new installation of MS Works.
Im not sure if you have received an MS Works disk. If yes, remove/uninstall firstly the MS Works from the system, reboot the notebook and use the MS Works disk for new installation.

  • HELP PC Suite has stopped working - can't fix it!!

I had PC Suite working fine - last used it to synch a couple of weeks or so ago. Since Sunday (28th Jan) when I tried to synch again, it no longer listed my phone and refused to connect. I have been connecting using a genuine Nokia USB cable. Full details of the problem (long winded!) are below, followed by the PCSuite About screen text. The short version is that it will no longer detect the phone or connect to it (get "no available connection type" ) and when I try to Manage Connections I get a meaningless error msg about "IntIMediaControl2" saying I must reinstall ... which I have now done several times!!! So - before I go back to the Vodafone shop and demand a change of phone AND MANUFACTURER!!! (my T-Mobile phone software works fine!) ..... is there a solution? ------------------------------------------------------- FULL DETAILS ARE:- I have now upgraded, and on Vodafone support advice, removed and reinstalled original from CD, and then downloaded and installed latest version from Nokia web site. I have even tried downloading and installing the drivers separately - since while CtrlPanel->Add/Remove Programs said they were installed, and I have a Nokia modem defined, the PCSuite software maintains that no cable driver is installed. Installing the cable drivers separately just failed - and Windows said that is was scheduling them for deletion! So I have yet again completely removed software and reinstalled the latest Nokia version. Once again, CtrlPanel->Add/Remove Programs says I have the cable driver and PCSuite installed. Network Connections says I have a Nokia N70 modem. NOTE .... I can even use the PC Suite software to connect my PC to the Internet using the N70 as a modem .... but I can't get PC Suite to connect to the phone to synchronise etc.. I cannot use the Manage Connections icon to work ("IntIMediaControl2" error) and in Get Connected it fails on clicking next on the first screen (no connection type available). The PC Suite About screen shows:- Operating system: Microsoft Windows XP Build 2600 Service Pack 2 Language: English Language for non-Unicode programs: English Locale: English Input language: English Nokia PC Suite: Version 6.82.22.0 Language: English Connectivity Cable Drivers: Not installed PC Connectivity Solution: Version 6.43.9.0 Microsoft Outlook: Version 11.0 Build 8010 No supported Bluetooth stack found

Yeah..my PC suite work again now!!! Thanks to all who helped.
First, I un-install everything( PC Suite, Cable Driver, PC connectivity). Deleted the nokia and pc connectivity folder in program files, then delete the nokia registry too( be careful here). Re-start PC.
Re-install Nokia PC Suite and Cable Driver( this should create the PC Connectivity Solution folder too), plug in the cable and making sure all driver are installed by itself or with your help, and see if the USB icon show up in the phone, if not then the Cable driver have not install correctly( re-install ). Once done, Do the repair in PC Connectivity Solution under Add/Remove programs. Re-start PC.
    Everything should works fine now...
    Hope it work for you.

  • Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284 has stopped working on windows...

    Hello,
Since I bought the Nokia N8 and I'm trying to run the Ovi Suite I always get the message "Nokia Ovi Suite has stopped working"
"A problem caused the program to stop working correctly.
Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available".
    Event viewer doesn't help really...
Does anyone knows the cause of this or perhaps even better, has a solution?
    I tried already :
    Un-install Re-install
    Run as administrator
    Run XP SP3 compatible
    Thanks anyway.
    Kind regards,
    Chris

    Thank you for your feedback.
Could you please provide us the log files?
    1. Here are the instructions for attaching log files:
    - Open Nokia Ovi Suite 3.0.0.284
    - Enable log gathering by double-clicking the enable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
    - Click the button to start enabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
    - Click the button to confirm the "Logs are enabled" dialogue
    - Exit Nokia Ovi Suite from File - Exit. This is mandatory! Closing NOS to system tray is not enough!
    - Open Nokia Ovi Suite again
    - Try to reproduce the error you are reporting
    - If the error still exists, double click the collect_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
    - Click the button to start collecting the logs when prompted by the dialogue
    - Click the button to confirm the "Logs collect & zip finished" dialogue
    - Attach the NOS2_logs.zip file in C:\Temp\NOS2 folder and screenshots in the error reporting form
    - Go to your %TEMP% folder, which can be found by entering %TEMP% to the Windows Explorer's address bar. Then search debug_log_date.txt in this folder, where date is the current date (or choose the latest one) and attach also this file in the error reporting form. The exact %TEMP% folder paths are:
    In XP: C:\Documents and settings\your_username\LocalSettings\Temp\
In Vista and Windows 7: C:\Users\your_username\AppData\Local\Temp\
    - Disable log gathering by double-clicking the disable_logs.js file in installation folder C:\Program Files\Nokia\Nokia Ovi Suite
    - Click the button to start disabling the logs when prompted by the dialogue
    - Click the button to confirm the "Logs are disabled" dialogue
You can send these log files, system information details to [email protected] mailbox

  • Nokia 6085 just stopped working....

Well my three month old Nokia 6085 has stopped working.
I was texting some friends and suddenly it started to be really slow and then started going on and off and when I tried turning it back on sometimes it started and sometimes it didn't.
Now it just turns on to the start screen saying Nokia and stays there.
What is wrong and how do I fix it?
By the way, it isn't the battery. I've tried different ones and tried them in another phone and they work....

Mine worked for approx 11 minutes from new. Never even got the SIM installed. Was looking at menus.
Now it just flashes "Nokia" then white/blue/white/blue and off.
This appears to be a reasonably common fault, and I imagine it will be warrantee, however the reseller Denys any knowledge or responsibility for this. Brand new, i need to go to a customer care dealer. Nearest one..... 4 hours away.
Now the phone I purchased for the weekend trip, because my old one is nearly dead... is deader than the old one.
This is not good enough Nokia. You need to do something.

  • Satellite U300-130 - TosBtMng has stopped working after Nokia PC Suite installation

I've got the same problem too... with Toshiba Satellite U300-130.
Bluetooth had worked pretty well before I installed Nokia PC Suite for my mobile on my PC (the newest version 7.1.26.0 from website).
To be correct, at first I even managed to maintain a Bluetooth connection between PC and Nokia and ran syncronisation of contacts. I made several attempts but each time syncronisation run ended with message "PC coudn't get answer from your Nokia".
After rebooting, my PC went crazy and started issuing message "TosBtMng has stopped working" and it restarted every time I ask it to close.
Installation of new version of BT Stack (6.40) didn't fix this error.
    Please help

    Hi there
I answered an existing thread with the same problem, but no-one can help apparently.
Anyway,,, I can at least help you with getting rid of the looping setup. You need to rename the directory with the Toshiba bluetooth stack.
I also have Nokia syncing and it worked fine until recently. - I have to say I think the problem relates to a Windows auto upgrade.
How to solve this is a different matter. At this moment I have given up. The Toshiba bluetooth stack disabled.

  • Nokia service layer host process has stopped worki...

    Hello,
When i try to update my Nokia E90... i get the following error -
Nokia service layer host process has stopped working
I tried everything... Reinstalling pc suite and Software Updater, but still same problem
    Please help me
    Thanks

i had exactly the same problem while updating using the latest NSU on Windows Vista with SP1.
I guess there is some compatibility problems between the latest version of NSU and Vista.
I tried with Windows XP SP2 and the latest version of NSU, i was able to update my E90 to the firmware version - 200.34.73
In case, you are using XP, I would suggest you uninstall NSU as per the FAQ in Nokia web site and reinstall the latest version.
Please let me know if this helps.

  • Nokia Launch Application has stopped working...

    Hi,
I've just carried out a fresh install of Vista 32-bit and installed Nokia PC Suite (version 6.85.12.0) and I now get the following error after a few seconds, even if I'm not trying to run any of the apps:
Nokia Launch Application has stopped working
A problem caused the program to stop working correctly. Windows will close the program and notify you if a solution is available.
The version I had before the re-installation worked perfectly.
Is it possible to find that version again?
    Thanks,

I would try to manually (through control panel I mean, no registry hacking) uninstall 6.84, connectivity solution and USB driver, then boot PC and then install 6.85 on a clear computer, if this problem, repair 6.85 through control panel and then decide whether to go back to 6.84

  • Photoshop CS4 in Comms Suite 2 has stopped working when loading

I wonder if someone can help me as I am not technical. I have a copy of Adobe Communication Suite 2 (this is basically CS4 version). I've installed this and every piece of it will load except for Photoshop (the bit I really want and need today!). I get an error message which says Adobe Photoshop has stopped working. Not sure what to do and I've loaded and unloaded this several times and also used some download from Adobe which is supposed to take away install problems but that had no effect!
Any help would be appreciated if anyone knows anything about it.
PS I have tried to load in Administrator mode and I get the same error message.

You'll get more help in the Photoshop forum. Try there with full details.

I had to restore my iMac from Time Machine. After the restoration all programs are functioning except my Adobe Creative Suite 4 Design Premium. When I start any program in the suite the error message, "Licensing for this product has stopped working." I restarted the computer and tried again to run Photoshop and the same error message appeared. The message was followed by a message that stated that I needed to contact Adobe technical support and mention Error: 150.30. I need Adobe technical support to provide me a solution for my problem so I can continue using my Adobe products installed on my computer.

Unfortunately when Adobe products are restored from backup, especial CS4 and especially Mac, it breaks licensing.
There is a python script included in the license recovery kit that should work if you are familiar with Terminal.
If not, you must reinstall your CS4 suite.  You don't need to delete your preferences, so it should be the same as before.

I have Adobe Acrobat installed as part of the CS6 suite.
It has stopped working (yet again -- it has done that three of four times over the last year).

    Hi Hugh ,
Could you please tell what are the challenges you are facing while trying to access Acrobat ?
Do you get any error message ?If yes ,please share the screen shot of the same.
Please try the solution outlined here: http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/acrobat-failed-launch-30-days.html
    OR
Try repairing it from Control panel, or try launching it with a different user account and check if it works or not.
Install the latest updates for Acrobat X from the link : http://www.adobe.com/support/downloads/product.jsp?product=1&platform=Windows
