Nokia Suite sign in "Invalid Credentials" message

Hi,
Suite version 3.5.34.
I CAN  login to my website account
I cannot sign in to the suite and I am copying and pasting the same Username and Password.
I followed all instructions from the Nokia "Live Chat" (re-install suite, confirm credentials, change Password, turn off firewall, scan for virus etc) and was finally told to organise a Proxy.
The suite Help says
Nokia Suite uses Internet Explorer's proxy settings for internet connections except for the proxy username and password. If the internet connection does not seem to work, you can set the proxy username and password manually. To do so, in Nokia Suite choose Tools > Options. Proxy settings are available in the General tab. Contact your IT helpdesk personnel or similar if you need more information.
So I phoned our ISP (Telstra Bigpond cable Australia) and they say I should not use a proxy with their service and that they are not permitted to help with it.
Can someone advise what next, as if explaining to a 7-year-old, pulease!

GOOD NEWS..
I networked another computer to the one that would not work.
I downloaded the suite , installed it and I can login using the exact same details that were failing before.
Not ideal as the newly networked computer is in a less convenient room but I can live with it.
CLUES???   The failed computer uses XP Home and AVG antivirus
                         The successful computer uses XP Prof and Microsoft Security Essentials.
                       Both use Windows Firewall

    My SGD use Microsoft AD to authentication login, connect config is correct, but have a "Invalid Credentials" message when use a user login.
    If use the root account login is ok, any other has error.
    Why? Connect to AD is correct, DNS is right.

    If you can't login as any user other than root, how do you know your AD config is correct?
    Can you share a bit more info on how you configured SGD to authenticate against your AD? What mechanism did you use? What did you do to ensure that you config is "correct"?

  • "Invalid Credentials" Message for IMAP Gmail

    When I tried to update my Gmail on my phone this morning, I got a message that said "Cannot Get Mail, Invalid Credentials (Failure)". I thought something had happened with the password, so I reentered it, but I got the same message. I deleted the account and reentered all of the email settings and I still got the same message. I've checked the IMAP settings on Gmail and nothing has changed there. I can update this account on my iMac and I can sync another Gmail account my iPhone so it seems there's something specific about this account on my iPhone. Any ideas?

    As soon as I posted my question, the account started working again.

  • Nokia Suite does not see saved messages

    Hi! I transferred a part of the messages in my Nokia 6303 to phone' s folder Saved Messages, and since then the troubles began.
    1. I can not move any sms out of the Saved Messages folder, for example, it is not possible to send them back to Inbox folder or any place else.
    2. Nokia Suite does not see some of those saved messages- they appear as empty boxes there, despite I can read them on my phone.
    Can I restore all messages downloaded to Nokia Suite, making them readable?
    How can I move the sms from Saved Messages folder on my phone?
    Can I tranfer sms from Saved Messages folder of my Nokia 6303 to another phone (even not Nokia)?

    First could you do a soft reset on your phone by entering *#7780# into your phone’s keypad. The default password when prompted is 12345. This reset will NOT erase any data, but revert settings back to original. Also, ensure you have the latest firmware by visiting this page and the latest version of PC Suite by following this link here.
    The following link provides extensive information for managing your messages on Nokia devices using Nokia PC suite.
    In order for you to move messages out of the “Saved messages” folder, you will have to create a new folder in the same directory, but you will not able to move messages back into your inbox. To move your saved messages to another non-Nokia device, you can forward the messages via SMS.

  • Can't sign in to Nokia account via Nokia Suite

    I am in Finland.
    I can connect to my account from the phone (nokia 701Belle + updates) and I can also reach my account on internet, but it is not possible to have a connection through my Nokia Suite. Have tried it on my win8, win7 and vista, same result/problem.
    It is not possible to make a new account in Nokia Suite.
    Some weeks ago I have updated my f-secure on all maschines.

    Nokia Suite connects to the server account.nokia.com and auth.gfx.ms. For these servers, SSL 3 was disabled on October 15th 2014. As of today, these servers require TLS 1.0. Nokia Suite does not use TLS 1.0 but only SSL 3, because Nokia Suite uses the QT framework 4.7.4. Up to that version, the QtNetwork class QSslSocket used SSL 3 and not TLS 1.0 as default protocol. You can test yourself via a terminal command and OpenSSL:
    openssl s_client -connect account.nokia.com:443 -ssl3
    which simulates the behaviour of the Nokia Suite. Therefore, the initial request of the Nokia Suite is rejected with a SSL/TLS handshake-failure. Because of that, Nokia Suite gives this wrong error message. Hopefully, Nokia enables SSL 3 again. Edit: added workarounds
    1st Workaround – use another tool
    If you skip the creation of an account and ignore that wrong error message, you are still able to use the Nokia Suite. Only these features need an account:
    Software Update:
    A) Software Recovery Tool (requires Windows 7 or newer; does full reset)
    B) Nokia Software Updater (updates; does not work for devices since 2011)

    Purchase History: view on its webpage …
    Upload to SkyDrive/OneDrive:
    A) Transfer my Data (for contacts),
    B) Microsoft Outlook 2013 (for contacts and calendar), and/or
    C) Micro-USB cable (for photos)
    2nd Workaround – replace a DLL file (3rd Edit: added exit step, reduced to just one DLL)
    exit the Nokia Suite via right-click in (bottom, left) Windows Notification Area (system tray)
    download this modified version of ssleay32.dll …
    replace this file at C:\Program Files (x86)\Nokia\Nokia Suite\
    A previous version of this workaround forgot the step of installing the ‘Visual C++ Redistributable Packages for Visual Studio 2013’. Later, this step was added. As of today, this installation step is not required anymore because the DLL was updated and does not need that package anymore. If you still face an issue, report here in this thread! If everything works, please, just give kudos by clicking at that star on the right.
    3rd Workaround – update to Nokia Suite 3.8.54 …

  • Invalid Credentials when trying to login to iPrint iOS App

    I've recently setup a fresh install of the iPrint Appliance 1.1 and installed all security patches.
    Original setup was iPrint appliance was SSL but syncing to our edirectory server was not, and I was unable to login with the iOS app. This was in Evaluation mode so I am unsure if the password being encrypted over SSL from the appliance then trying to match on the eDir server not on ssl caused that issue.
    However I then installed our license, and configured LDAP sync to be over SSL, but I am still gettin the same "Invalid Credentials" message. That being said, our current license only entitles us to the appliance and iprint desktop, not iPrint Mobile whereas when in evaluation mode you have access to iPrint Mobile.
    My question here is, should I be expecting it to say "Invalid Credentials" even though I do not have any iPrint Mobile licenses, or should there be a different message or result?

  • Yahoo Messenger - Invalid credentials?

    I'm getting more and more frustrated with Yahoo every day. 
    I have been using Yahoo messenger 3.0.2 for some time, with no issues.  The last few days it is rarely working on my MacBook Pro.  I keep getting invalid credentials message.  I re-set my password, I can log in to the mail just fine, and use the app in my iphone just fine, but the app on my MacBook just keeps giving me this same error.
    I have deleted it and reinstalled numerous times, even downloaded a new installer for it and re-tried.  Deleted the preferences files and the caches.  Once in a while I can get it to work.  But if I close it again, most of the time I get the same credentials message. 
    Any help would be greatly appreciated.

    You need to contact Yahoo Messenger for Mac tech support and/or post in their forum. 

  • Nokia Suite Sync but it does'nt

    synchronize = 
    1. To occur at the same time; be simultaneous.
    2. To operate in unison.
    So why describe Nokia Suite as having a SYNC function?
    All it does is copy mesages on the phone to the PC, to 'Sync' it should make what is held on the PC within Nokia Suite THE SAME as what is on the phone and viz versa.
    For instance if I delete old messages from within Nokia Suite it should ALSO delete them from my phone, if I delete message from my phone it should also delte them from PC Suite.
    I've just deleted a whole load of messages from Nokia Suite re-run the SYNC Messages and it does nothing all the messages I deleted on the Nokia Suite are still on the phone.
    Why call it a SYNC funstion when it is not, or am I missing something?
    When I SYNC Outlook Contacts this is exactly what it does and if for instance the same entry has been changed on both Outlook and the phone it will identify the conflict and ask me which one to kepp, THIS IS SYNCING.
    Why can't it do the same with messages?

    I'm not sure what it matters what phone, this is surely a Nokia Suite shortcoming, rather than a phone model based limitation?
    But in answer to your question; my main concern is SMS's rather than MMS's and the phone models I've tried to Sync are from Nokia N96 through N8 and finally Lumia 920

    This is part of the known USB connection problem with reboots.
    Please check FAQ:
    Q: While trying to update to Nokia Belle with Nokia Suite, I get an error
    message stating that the connection to the phone was lost. What should I do?
    A: It is normal that the phone loses connection during the reboot phase. If you
    wait for a while it will automatically reconnect to your PC. If you lose
    connection during the backup, installation or restore phase, please do the
    following:
    1. Disconnect the USB cable from your phone
    2. Press your phone’s power button for about 10 seconds
    3. Reconnect the USB cable
    4. Wait for the installation to continue 
    Note: If this doesn’t solve your issues, try to connect your phone to another
    USB port on your laptop or to a USB port on the backside of your desktop PC. In
    some cases rebooting the computer also helps or using another PC to do the
    update.

    It looks like the "Invalid Credentials" message appears after you have submitted the modification. The best explanation I have for this is that your ldapmodify is getting and following a referral, likely to a server with different rootdn credentials.
    Depending on the ldapmodify tool you are using, you may be able to prevent it from following referrals. The Sun tool had the "-R" option for this. Using the verbose argument may also give you information about which server you are getting the referral to.

    Help, since accepting upgrade to Nokia Suite 3.3.86 3 weeks ago my Nokia 5230 has refused to sync messages or send/receive with my laptop. [The main PC is still running the previous version and syncs OK] All the other syncs work fine it's just messages. I have tried repairing and reinstalling but no improvement, any help please, Rob

    Did you try the 'Repair Sync' option in the Nokia Suite (Sync-->Repair Sync) ..
    Else, you may try the latest Beta (v3.4.16) from here ... For downloading, you need to log-in using the same credentials that you use on this Forum ...

  • Can't sign into Nokia Suite

    Hi 
    I am having problems signing into Nokia Suite version 3.8.48
    I changed the login password - but keep getting the message 'could not sign in'
    Instead of my username I also tried my Ovi email alloted to me when i signed up 
    and a second  email address that is also listed in my Nokia account details 
    I have tried turning off my firewall and anti-virus program which didn't work and also
    checking the GTE Cybertrust certifcates but only had one which does not expire until 2018
    Can anyone help?

    Nokia Suite 3.2.98 Beta will not allow me to sign in on my laptop running Wnidows 7. (Error message:' Could not sign in'). I have a valid and functioning internet connection (wi-fi) as all my other connections are working properly. I've tried switching the Norton 360 firewall and Onspeed proxy off .
