  • Nokia Suite no longer recognises N9 after upgradin...

I have been regularly using Nokia Suite 3.2 with my N9, and so I recently upgraded to Nokia Suite 3.5. After some initial problems getting ownership of the Nokia file in the ProgramData folder, the install worked however now when I connect using 'Sync and Connect', Nokia Suite doesn't recognise my N9 - I can hear the sound notification of the phone connecting with the computer, followed almost immediately by the same sound notification of the phone disconnecting from the PC.
I'm running Windows Vista 32bit and having used system restore to roll back the install to version 3.2, I now cannot connect my N9 via Nokia Suite 3.2 either.
I've tried different cables to no avail. I do not have Bluetooth on my PC to try. I now cannot connect my N9 and my PC.
    How do I fix this?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

I seem to have had some success. After getting over the usual language and accent barriers with Nokia Customer Care, and after convincing them that Nokia Suite 3.5 was actually compatible with the N9, they suggested I repair both the Nokia Connectivity Cable Driver and also the PC Connectivity Solution file.
After doing this, Nokia Suite 3.5 still wasn't  recognising my N9. Re-installing Nokia Suite wasn't an option as it would mean deleting all the info stored in it (texts, contacts, etc), some of which are not stored in duplicate on the phone.
I decided instead to try repairing Nokia Suite via Windows, and to my thanks, this seems to have worked. At present all is well and Nokia Suite is now talking and recognising my N9 as it did in v3.2.
What is probably the most puzzling thing to come out of this is that in searching the web for a fix, it became very clear that Nokia have a lot of issues across the board in getting their phones to connect and talk to their UI's on computers.
The fact that they have maybe three to four separate UI's (PC Suite, Nokia Link, Nokia Suite, Ovi Suite) which only seem to be suitable for certain phones is archaic in my opinion. Surely it's time for Nokia to pool their resources and R and D into one UI that is functional across the board and across their phone range?
I think that would make the user experience a more friendly and enjoyable one.

  • Nokia Suite won't find Nokia 5610 on bluetooth

Hello, I recently upgraded from Nokia Ovi Suite to Nokia Suite and after I did that, Nokia Suite won't find my 5610 by bluetooth. I tried uninstall and reinstall Nokia Suite but no results. I noticed however that Nokia 5610 has been removed from the compatibility list with Nokia Suite. Does this mean 5610 won't work with Nokia Suite? I've also updated my bluetooth drivers but no effect.
    Regards

    Hi tokenize,
Very much welcome to the Nokia Discussions Forum! Download Nokia PC suite and try the connection with that.
You can also take a look at this page and see if downloading bluetooth drivers from there helps. 5610 has indeed been removed from Nokia Suite compatibility list.
Hope you're able to connect your to the PC now.

  • PC Suite won't recognize my Nokia 5310

    Hello,
I'm in the U.S. I recently purchased a 5310 unlocked. I have been able to set everything up (web, texts, multimedia messages), however, PC Suite won't recognize my phone. I've called Nokia support numerous times, but to no avail.
I've even tried it on 3 separate computers, but each time, the PC won't recognize my phone. The Nokia support people said it might have to do with the registration files on my computer, but that was before 3 different computers have failed to recognize my phone. Thus, I have been unable to load music and ringtones onto my Xpress Music phone and I'm very frustrated.
Has anyone else had this problem?
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks!

I had the exact same problem, with an unlocked 5310 music xpress. I downloaded and reloaded the latest version of PC Suite multiple times on different computers. I gave up for a couple of months then decided to search the net for any help.
This simple fix is what actually worked for me.
    1. Turn off phone and remove sim card and memory card
    2. Restart phone without sim card or memory card loaded.
    3. connect to pc suite and see if it recognises phone and it works propperly.
    4. Disconnect phone and reinstall sim card and memory card.
    5. Reconnect to Pc Suite and it should work fine now.
It worked for me, hope it helps you.

  • Nokia Suite won't upgrade without SIM card

I used the Nokia (N95_1) four years ago as a phone, so I cannot remember where I stored the itty bitty Rogers SIM card or if I threw it away. Now I have this problem with the Nokia Suite not upgrading firmware without the sim card.
I use nokia now mostly as a GPS and a Wi-fi net browsing device, so I would like to get the new map version since the current one (v3.01 09wk44 b01) keeps crashing when synchronizing favs. I downloaded the .sis file from softpedia (v3.03 10wk11 b04) but get certificate errors when trying to install it. Does anybody know where can I get a signed map, latest version for nokia n95, with a fix for the sync crash? (It does get sync'ed but closes every time)
The Nokia online map is a great idea - the integration with the mobile is great, since it would be a hassle to type the whole address plus phone number with the tiny nokia keypad, so I just enter it on my desktop pc and sync it with mobile, no need for Windows, I can do it with Linux, just need a browser.
Nokia Suite is another story, there's no way to get it working without Windows
Just one major complaint - 9 out of 10 searches I do on the online Nokia map give no results, so I need the help of Google or Yahoo maps to enter the approximate location on the Nokia Map manually. Last search was for "Kim Phat" in Brossard, QC, a grocery store - you'll find it in every other map, except for nokia.
If Yahoo maps is powered by Nokia, how come nokia online maps does not bring the same search results? I'd rather have my mobile integrated with Yahoo maps instead.
Still wanting that signed nokia map 3.03 or 3.04...
    Thanks for reading.

    @noki_dding
Be aware that Nokia_Maps_3.01_09wk44_b01 is the most recent version for your N95 and do not have any issue synchronising with Ovi upon mine.
Presumably you have updated your map data to the latest 0.1.28.106?
Unfortunately any device has to be "General" profile to update device firmware using Nokia Suite or Nokia Software Updater.

    Hello Nokia,
I believe it is good at this point to ask questions about the compatibility of Nokia suite to upcoming Nokia windows phone. I know WP has Zune.

  • Nokia PC Suite won't recognise Widcomm Bluetooth s...

    Hi All.
This is my first attempt at installing and using Nokia PC Suite to synch a new 6103 mobile with MS Outlook via an existing, and well proven, Bluetooth connection. And guess what... straight out the box it doesn't work!
I'm using an MSI PC2PC USB Bluetooth dongle with Widcomm ver 1.3.2.7 drivers (btwdndis.sys). PC Suite connection manager shows only USB or direct cable connections available and Help About displays, "NO SUPPORTED BLUETOOTH STACK FOUND". However, I'm able to PAIR the 6103 with the dongle via the MSI Explorer suite via COM4 from my PC (COM1 from the 6103). Have also used the Bluetooth set-up successfully with an Ericsson T68 and Ericsson's XTND Sync suite for years without much problem.
Nokia: please explain why you're products are unable to support this set-up, while Ericsson's can, and what is need to rectify. The plan is\was to dump the Ericsson set-up once the Nokia's working.
Also, why am I only able to select COM1, COM2 OR COM3 within Nokia PC suite? If I could select COM4, the Bluetooth successfully paired connection, I could possibly use that as a solution? I assume Nokia PC Suite doesn't need to recognise the Bluetooth stack in order to see COM ports?

  • Ovi suite won't recognise E7-00

Help anyone: I have a new E7-00 and a PC running Vista. When I install Ovi suite and conect the phone then Ovi always says that the phone is not in PC suite (or Ovi suite) mode, but it is. I can never get beyond this which means Ovi doesn't link with the phone, I can't sync, and the phone is basically only any use as a paper weight. Nokia helpline has acknowledged a problem with the USB drivers for the E7 but offered no solution. I've spent hours on this and am getting desperate, any suggestions? Thanks

Hi I have E7 , but use Windows 7, and don't have the problem. But with problems in the past I've removed all Nokia/Ovi software from the computer, including drivers and anything mentioning Nokia or Ovi, then run Nokia PC Cleaner, available from Nokia web site. Then install the latest version of Ovi Suite, Also with every Nokia I've owned, both PC Suite and Ovi suite have ,on occasion, failed to connect straight away, and have needed to be quickly disconnected and re-connected to the usb cable 2 or 3 times (untill the phone says it's charhing) and then it's been fine, The latest Ovi suite should have all the latest drivers, but you can also download driver packs from the Nokia web site, Oh and prior to the last 12 months I was using Vista.
    Good Luck
PS you can still sync your phone via your Ovi Account, the E7 has the settings pre-intalled

  • Nokia suite reports "there is no music on this mob...

It used to work, and now it doesn't.
I'm running Nokia Suite 3.4.40 on Windows 7, connected via BlueTooth with my 5310 XpressMusic.
Sync'ing messages and contacts works like a charm.
But Nokia Suite reports "Thre is no music on this mobile" which is plain wrong.
I've tried renaming the folder on the SD from "Music" to "Musique", to no avail.
How do I get Nokia Suite to "see" the music contents in my phone?

    Hi nounours,
Nokia Suite does not seem to be able to access data on your SD card. If you want your music library to be recognised by Nokia Suite, you can try this:
Access your phone in mass memory (or USB) mode (direct access to the phone drives) / plug in your SD card
Copy your music folder on the computer and add it to Nokia Suite
Connect your phone in Nokia Suite mode and sync the music library
Also, check that your music folder name is identical to the one your phone memory. Alternatively, you can manage your SD card music library in mass memory (or USB) mode.
Let us know if this helps,

  • Migrate Nokia Suite between windows accounts

I have recently changed my home pc so that each user has their own account, I now want to move my Nokia Suite settings to my personal windows account rather than the shared windows account.
My issue is that I have a lot of photographs stored on my N8, these have already been uploaded to windows (shared account) - but if I connect the N8 while logged in with my new windows account Nokia Suite tries to upload all the photos again, this would turn into a massive problem for me to sort out manually.
What can I do to migrate my Nokia Suite data from one account to another - I see there are hidden "Nokia" and "Nokia Account" folders in AppData/Local... would it be sufficient to copy these or is there other stuff that I would be missing?

    Hi dylanf,
You can see the help of Nokia Suite "Moving the contents of Nokia Suite to a new computer", the same applies to creating a new account or profile on your same computer.
If you had your Photos and Videos from your phone stored on your shared account on PC in the standard Windows Pictures and Videos folders. You just need to copy them those to your new account's Pictures and Videos. This way you will not need to copy those photos again from your phone to your new account.
I copied here the instructions from the Nokia Suite help. Nokia Suite -> Help -> Moving the contents of Nokia Suite to a new computer.
When you are switching to a new computer, it's easy to move your contacts, messages, media files, calendar information, bookmarks, and web feeds from Nokia Suite on your old computer to Nokia Suite on the new computer. All your files stay safe and you can continue using Nokia Suite just like before. See below for detailed instructions on how to move different content types to your new computer.
    Music, photos, and videos
The music, photos, and videos you see in Nokia Suite are stored on your computer just like any files and you can move them to the new computer with the help of Windows Explorer and an external hard drive, such as a USB memory stick. In the options of Nokia Suite, check if the program saves your media files to the standard Windows folders for music, photos, and videos (such as Music, Pictures, and Videos on Windows Vista and Windows 7 or My Music, My Pictures, and My Videos on Windows XP), or if you have chosen to save them in some other folders. To check your options, open the Tools menu, click Options, and then go to the Music and Gallery tabs.
Note that if you have created music playlists or photo albums in Nokia Suite on your old computer, you need to create them again when you start using Nokia Suite on your new computer.
