Hi,
The Nokia web site in my country shows the F/W update for Lumia 920. When I try to search for updates using my phone, it finds none.
Should I wait? Like there is another option
For the record, I updated my Lumia 800 twice without any problems when the Nokia site reported new versions.

Thank you for posting and welcome to the forum.
Update availability is influenced by many factors including existing Nokia device firmware version, country and operator. It may be due to one of these variables, that currently there is no new firmware update available for your phone.
Example: If your mobile service provider hasn't approved the latest Nokia device firmware, it isn't available for that specific operator variant that you are using but it can be available for a generic country version your friend is using.
On the other hand, new firmware may become available later, so it's best to setup your device in a way that it automatically informs you when a new software version is available. You can do this by going to Settings, select Phone Update, and then check Tell me when updates are available for my phone.

If you really need to upgrade you can save a bit of money and get an older version than the ipad Air.
First, you can sell your ipad 1 to places like gazelle.com, cashforyourmac.com, sellyour mac.com, or many others out there. The sites I listed give you cash. At this point gazelle.com is giving $70.00 for any ipad 1 in 'good' condition. And cashforyourmac will give you $25.00 over what gazelle.com or sellyourmac.com offers you. Shipping is free.
Then, with that money, go the the Apple online certified refurbished store. As an example, a new 64gb Air costs $699.00. A refurbed 4th gen 64gb costs $529.00 and a 3rd gen 64gb costs $499.00. Personally, I'd skip the 3rd gen. So if you buy a 4th gen 64gb at $529.00 minus what you can get from a sale to above, you can get an ipad 4 64gb for just over $430.00, a savings of savings of about $270.00. (A new 32gb Air is $599.00, a 4th gen 32gb is $449.00, and a 3rd gen 32gb is not on the site right now.) Google it and check if you can get better offers anywhere else. I do not want to disappoint you, but since the E90 is rather old now (2 years) be prepared that we may not see an update.

Nokia 5800 RM-428 software update

Hello, I have a Nokia 5800 from Rogers with software version 31.2.101. I have heard about the new software 52.0.007 and I was wondering how can i download/upgrade to it. I have used both the Nokia Ovi Suite and the Software Updater but no avail. Both of them read "no update available." Is it because my phone is locked to Rogers and they do not allow the update or is there anyway I can bypass and install the new software. Any help would be appreciated.

I have 51.2.007 installed in my Nokia 5800 (RM-428) Product Code 0561618. NSU v3.0.223 indicates that mine us up to date. Unless they add a featue like cover flow to the media player I don't know what they would be doing in this update. It runs pretty good now. Big improvement over v21 and especially over v40, which resulted in Nokia replacing my handset.

I have a problem updating thge software on my 6280. I've checked for newer soft version, and it turned out that is is availible. Therefore i've installed latest Nokia PC Suite and Software Updater.
After connecting the phone i got "Connectd phone was not recognized"
Very well... but what am i supposed to do to make updater recognize my phone??

There was a lot of commotion around the 6280 last year, apparently there were some product codes that were shared with the 6288 (which is listed as compatible), I'm not quite sure what it was all about. Anyway it looks like you need to visit a Nokia service center to get the sw updated for a 6280:

If you mean that it doesn't show the Settings > General > Software Update option then that only appears when you have iOS 5+ installed, with iOS 4 you will need to do the update via your computer's iTunes.
Connect the iPad to your computer's iTunes and copy any purchases off the iPad to your computer via File > Transfer Purchases. You may also want to copy photos and any important documents off the iPad as well e.g. via the file sharing section at the bottom of the device's apps tab when connected to iTunes, via wifi, email, dropbox etc - they should be included in the backup, but it's best to have a copy of them outside of the backup just in case. You can then force a backup of the iPad by right-clicking the iPad 'Device' on the left-hand side of iTunes and selecting 'Backup'.
Then start the update by selecting the iPad on the left-hand side of iTunes, and on the Summary tab on the right-hand side clicking the Check For Updates button

Your iPad should be updated to iOS 6.0.1 (which is the only version that is 'signed' by Apple), so you will lose the built-in YouTube app and the Maps app will change - but google have app versions in the store.

10.6.8 in software updates but not installing

I am having issues with installing software updates for my iMac. I had to manually download and install the 10.6.7 update (I chose the combo) from the apple site. It shows that the update is downloaded in my software updates but it will not install before or after restart. I was successul at installing the 10.6.7 combo, but now I am having the same issue with 10.6.8. I did download the update combo from the apple website, but when I try to install, I get an error stating "The installation failed. The installer could not install the software because there was no software found to install." I am a newer (1-2 years) mac user so I'm having issues finding solutions.

To get the Mac App Store back you will need to manually download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.7 Update Combo;

It is safe to install this over your current installation of 10.6.7. It will reinstall the Mac App Store, as well as fill in any gaps that your installation my have. It is a common troubleshooting step.

Reset Password starting from Recovery HD
Start the computer,then press and hold down command and R keys to start into recovery partition.
When you see the Apple logo, release the keys.
Wait until OS X Utilities window shows up.
Move the mouse to the menubar at the top and click "Utilities", then select "Terminal"
from the drop down.
Terminal window will appear.
Type in resetpassword and press enter on the keyboard.
Leave the Terminal window open.
Reset Password Utility window will open with Macintosh HD selected.
Select the user account from the popup menu box.
Enter a new password.
Reenter the new password for the user.
Enter a hint.
Click the "Save" button.
Click  in the menubar and select Restart.
Log in.
If Keychain dialog box appears, select “Create New Keychain”.

Ive signed out of Itunes, Icloud, Ive rebooted the phone several times and it still prompts for a passwork from 2 yrs ago. I bought this phone some time ago used. I have never had a problem ontil I updated the software a month ago....

That means you have an app or apps, on your phone, obtained with your old Apple ID. All apps are forever tied to the ID used to originally obtain them. They cannot be updated using any ID other than the ID used to obtain them.

My Macbook Pro downloads software updates but it won't install them?

My late 2011 MacbookPro downloads software updates but when I try to install them, it tells me that it's not supported? The software is currently OS X Lion 10.7.5 and I tried upgrading a few things but it won't install. For example, I tried to get the latest update for iMovie, which is crucial for my studies, but it just tells me to update my macbook which is driving me nuts! Help please?

You would need to upgrade to Mavericks to upgrade iMovie to the version now on the App Store.
