Nokia VoIP Client using SIPS/SRTP freeze the mobil...

I'm using a N95 Firmware: R-159 30.0.015 (its happen with N95 8G too) and i've configurated a VoIP account with SIPS URI.
I' can make VoIP call and speak (the quality is great!) but when we hangup (me or the called) the Nokia VoIP Client did NOT disconnect and freeze the mobile(I've to turn off the device).
I've running the wireshark in my network and see no TLS transaction has been send on hangup from NOKIA device , so I' would like Know if someone can help me.

I figured if choose one SIP Account to run on 3G and one on WiFi the power consumption is low.
If both are switched to 3G as access point the power consumption is high.
Must be some kind of bug...

  • How to develop VoIP client using SIP in J2ME?

    Hi Everybody,
I want to develop a VoIP client in J2ME that connects to asterisk server of debian and can call to the registered user of asterisk server and can have a telephonic talk session easily.
Do anybody have idea regarding the development of the client or having tutorial that teaches the development of VoIP in J2ME or in any other way.?
PLZ help me to provide the solution.
    Thanks in anticipation.
    with regards,
    KHAKHAR SAGAR

    Hi
I am interested about developing VoIP application (using SIP) in J2ME platform. But I am stuck with the problem of MMAPI. Without using MMAPI J2ME has no access to mobile media devices, such as speaker or microphone, and without creating a player MMAPI can't play media data, such as sound or video. But its not possible to record voice and play voice data simultaneously using player in J2ME. So it seems almost impossible to implement VoIP application maintaining all its constraints and requirements, specially in case of delay and jitter.
I am looking for some solution, which will provide the ability to overcome this problem. I come out with two possible solutions, but not sure about their out come. If we can develop a native media application, we can have access to it by using KNI (K Native Interface). In that way we can take some risk to develop VoIP application for J2ME. My another solution is, we can handle the player using MMAPI to record and play voice data in mill second level, so that we can have a real time feeling, though I am not sure if its possible by using RTSP.
If any one have solution of this problem, please help us.

  • WIP310-G2: how to connect to an specific VoIP provider using SIP ?

    Dear all,
I just received a WIP310-G2 and I am wondering how -or whether- I can configure it to connect to an specific Internet based VoIP provider using SIP
Cant seem to find how to do it....
    Thanks a lot,
    Alvaro

You connect your WIP310 to your PC using an USB cable. Then lookup the IP-adresse on the phone and enter that into a browser.
In the UI select Admin Logon and you can enter all the configuration details for your VoIP provider. I would recommned that you ask your VoIP provider to help you with a guide.
I used a PAP2T configuration example that worked for my WIP310, which I got from my VoIP provider.

  • Lync Client uses wrong RTP Ports for calls from/to RGS with Agent Anonymity

We have QoS implemented and client ports for audio, video und application defined by Set-CsConferencingConfiguration. We also use firewalls in our LAN between the different VLANs for Clients, Servers and Gateways/SBC. Only RTP from the client with the defined
ports are allowed by the firewall. Media ByPass is enabled.
In all normal cases, the right ports will be used and marked by GPO with the right DSCP value. But if an agent get a call from a RGS which has agent anonymity enabled, the client uses a port in the range 1024-65535 for audio. Also if you make a call on behalf
of the RGS, the client use a random port between 1024-65535. As soon, as the source of the call is in another VLAN (e.g. a call from PSTN which comes in over a SBC in e separate VLAN), the firewall between the two VLANs block the RTP traffic.
We see the deny on the firewall log and in the SBC log we see, the reinvite for the media by pass with the IP of the agent and a not valid port. We also see, that no RTP from the client/agent will arrive the SBC and no RTP from the SBC will arrive the client/agent.
So the call will be disconnected, as soon as an agent wants accept the call.
Is there an additional setting to make sure, the Lync client always use the valid RTP port range?
This behavior exist in Lync 2010 and Lync 2013 clients.

    Hi Holger,
    Thanks for reply!
Sure! I set all AudioPorts on all Services, but the problem are not the ports used by the server, the problem are the ports used by the client. We set the client ports to 49152 with a count of 40. The client (2013 and also 2010) use these ports correctly in all
cases exept for call from/on behalf of an RGS with Agent Anonymity.
If we disable the RGS agent anonymity, restart the client of the agent, then the client uses also the correct source ports for RTP.
I've checked this behaviour now on 3 customer installations, our own productive installation and in our lab.
Because until now only one of our customers have firewalls between the internal VLANs, only this single customer have the issues...

  • X5800 how to use SIP and VOIP

Hello, I have a X5800 music, model 5800d-1 and I can enter all the necessary SIP data. I get the message (settings, connectivity, admin settings, sip settings) registered which is fine. My provider is freephonie. Question: 1) Although on the freebox the SIP is activated, I don't receive incoming call on my nokia. 2) How do I tell my nokia to call on the internet ? Is it possible only using SIP tel numbers which I can enter in the contacts list? Help much appreciated. Pierre.

SIP and VoIP are not synonymous. VoIP can indeed use SIP (and often does), but other services, such as video sharing for example, also use SIP.
It so happens that the 5800 has no native support for VoIP, which is why you can't make SIP calls using it.
Your only solution for SIP is to use third-party services such as fring, for example. Once logged into your fring account you can subscribe to a SIP service. Fring's systems will register to the SIP account and relay the comminucation through your fring account. There's lag and the audio quality isn't as good as a direct SIP connection but at least it works.
The alternative is to use a phone that supports VoIP/SIP natively.

Go into your control panel, System > Hardware > Devices, look for the USB (Universal Serial Bus Controllers)
    [+]USB
    Generic USB hub
    Bleah
    Bleah
Simply right mouse click on all of them select "uninstall" once they've all been removed, restart your machine, windows will re detect all your USB devices, and hopefully this time windows will install either a newer or older version, different version of drivers.
Then re-install..... there's not a lot else you can try.

  • Using Host in Forms is not freezing the caller

I am using the Host built-in command to launch a web page from a client/server Forms6i application.  I've found there are many different ways I can do this:
I can hardcode the path of the browser executable,
         host('"C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\iexplore.exe" http://www.oracle.com/index.html');
use 'Start' with or without '@' and 'cmd /c ',
         host('@Start iexplore http://www.oracle.com/index.html');
         host('cmd /c Start iexplore http://www.oracle.com/index.html');
         host('Start iexplore http://www.oracle.com/index.html');
or use ShellExecute to launch the default windows browser.
I want the form to be frozen/unusable until the user closes the browser.  I thought that was the default behavior of the Host command.  However, that only happens in the example where I provide the path.  I'd rather not have to provide the path to the browser executable, but I can't seem to get either of the other two methods to freeze the form for me.  Any ideas?
    Thanks,
    Meredith

I suspect the reason you don't want to hard code the IE path if for the obvious reason that some users may have it installed somewhere else.  Good thinking
For cases like this, it may be worth investing some time in offering some configurable options to the user.  This would be a good first example.  The option to choose the default browser related to the app.  You could create a "Settings" option in your application where the user could set things like (these are just examples):
    Preferred browser
Save current position (this would allow the app to start in the current position next time it was started)
    Background color
    And so on....
Use TEXT_IO to create a config file on the client machine that would store the values chosen by the user.  On application startup (maybe in WHEN-NEW-FORM-INSTANCE), use TEXT_IO to read the values previously set.  If no config file is found at startup, use TEXT_IO to create one with default values that the you decide.  Doing something like this would make the application more customizable for the user, but it would also solve your current problem.  With this design, you can get the path to the preferred browser based on what the user selected.  So if they wanted Firefox instead of IE, they would get it and your app code wouldn't need changing to do it.
That said, whatever you decide to do, remember that in newer versions of Forms there is no "client/server" deployment option.  Therefore the functionality of such calls will change is some cases.  Hint-hint.... Please consider upgrading to the latest Oracle Forms version.  The latest version is 11.1.2.2.  In the latest version, you can do basically the same thing I described about with the addition of WebUtil.  Therefore very little code would need to be updated when moving to the web.

    Hi Jay,
Be aware that "Freeze Header Rows" and "Freeze Header Columns" apply only to rows and columns that are Header rows or Header columns. You can have up to five Header rows, Five Header Columns (and five Footer rows) on a Numbers Table.
"Header rows" is a special designation. Besides being able to be frozen, Header and Footer rows are not included in formulas referencing whole columns, making it possible to place formulas such as =SUM(B) at the top (or bottom) of column B without causing a self-reference error, These designated rows are also not included in sorts of the rows in a table.

    Lao Bo,
yes, you can locate and copy a file from your HD to a USB key using UNIX commands. If you know the exact name of the file which you’re trying to locate, try this:
    find / -iname filename -print
This command will search your entire internal disk for the particular filename. If you know that it’s within a particular user account, then you can save search time with this variation:
    find /Users/username -iname filename -print
Either variation of this command will print all files found which have the given filename. Presuming that you’re able to identify the correct file, you can copy it to a USB key using the command
    cp -p filename_returned_by_find /Volumes/USB_volume
If you’re not sure which volume name your USB key has, this command will show you what the possibilities are:
    ls /Volumes
Please let me know if you have any trouble with these commands.
