Nokia WH-205 Headset not working in my asha 206.

Hi,
I have a problem with my headset WH-205. It does not get connected with my Nokia Asha 206. My headset goes faulty then i replaced it in Nokia Care. After that which headset i have got it doesn't get connecting to my phone n any other Nokia phone. What to do?

You'll be thoroughly thrilled to know that the N900 does not support complex headsets..
I have a pair of BH905 nokia headphones, frequently shown in official N900 videos being used with a cable..
Unfortunately when plugged into the phone using the cable, the buttons do not work.. in fact I don't believe you can use it has a headset via the cable..
Via bluetooth however, they work marginally better (the headphones crash)
Apparently headset support was removed in favor of TV out.. so head sets with multiple buttons just don't work..
I believe the only headsets that actually work as expected are the ones that ship with the n900..
I must admit, for all its faults, this was the one thing that irritated me most about this incredible media rich by peripheral crippled phone!

Hi, DEVRAMP. How did you flash your phone? Is there a battery indicator when you charge it? You may try the following solution below:
Check that the keypad is not locked.
Make sure that all keys are responding correctly when they are pressed. In some cases, a key may get stuck and freeze the whole keypad.
Try removing and replacing the covers (if your phone supports that feature). Check that the power and side keys on the cover are properly aligned (e.g. pushed out) to their respective positions to have a proper tactile feel when pressing the keys.

When you try to open the camera either by hitting the camera key or going to the app list, what happens?
1. Reboot the phone. Press the volume down and power keys together for 15 seconds until the phone vibrates and starts up.
2. Check that the software of the phone is updated.
3. Reset the phone by going to Settings > About. This deletes all the content of the phone so make sure to create a backup copy of your files. See "Reset and restore your phone" in this link to backup important data on the phone: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/2606900.

N97 Original Headset - Not Working (Mono)

Hi,
I just got an N97, brand new, the original headset was working at first, made about two phone calls on them, and next time I used them only one side is working aka Mono, the other side works with every single application/radio, but 1 of the two speakers is completely off.
This is not the first time that this happened, to me with nokia, had the same issue with an N95 years ago...

Did u drop it down hard?? Its diffcult to diagonise the problem here, seems to be a hardware failure in the headset, Accessories comes with 6 months warranty so you can go for a replacement visit a Nokia care point

Headset not Working on C7

Hi all,
I have a Nokia C7 that I bought just two days ago. I was trying yesterday to use the Radio and when I was asked to insert the handset, I discovered that the handset is not working. I first thought that the problem is with the handset by itself so I got and tried to sue another Nokia headset but also it didn't work.
I don't know if the problem is in the phone hardware by itself. Any help on this is highly appreciated.

So when you connect you don't get any message, and no icon in the top corner showing headphones?
If you connect standard headphones do you get message like "Headphones: Use phone microphone" ?
If you get none of the above then I suspect that the socket in the phone is broken.

Anyone know how to fix Bluetooth headset not working properly after iOS 8 update?

I have an iPhone 5S and I use a Plantronics PLT M20 model bluetooth headset. I am no longer able to answer calls by pressing the button on the headset, since updating to iOS 8. I also also cannot end calls by pressing the button on the headset. This only happened after iOS 8. The Apple Care rep stated that "this is most likely a problem with the bluetooth manufacturer and they need to update their firmware, so now it's just a waiting game until they do that". Is that correct? Anyone encountering this?

Hi - I'm a student with disabilities and rely heavily on accessibility features that make my life easier. For example, I use a Bluetooth headset to trying answer phone calls and use Siri… I especially use the "Raise to speak" option for accessing Siri. Since updating my iPhone five us and my iPad air, I've been scrambling to access the "raise to speak" option for Siri without success. When I called AppleCare, the representative stated I should have that option to enable in my settings. When I explained to her that the option is not showing, she wanted me to reset my phone to factory settings. When I told her I googled the issue and found that it may have been removed in iOS 8… She put me on hold, Came back and told me I was right.
What's worse is that that my Bluetooth headset is no longer working with my iPhone 5S. She stated that it may being I needed adjustment from the manufacturer of the headset– Plantronics. All I know is that the apple care representatives seem confused and I am extremely disappointed in this really impacts my use of Siri and my phone.
When I asked her to submit feedback to her supervisor or the powers that be… I was simply asked to submit feedback to the Apple.com website. While I understand Apple might read that feedback, I also recognize that they don't reply and I don't feel that is great support to someone like me who has a disability and needs a solution. The"Hey Siri" option is not working for me.
Does anyone have any workarounds for the "Raise to speak" problem or the Bluetooth problem? Specifically, the Bluetooth issue is when I try to hit the button on my Bluetooth headset to answer a call or end the call. It's a Plantronics PLT M20 model.

Follow-up to my earlier post that iPhone 6 Bluetooth not working correctly. I purchased a Jawbone MiniJambox to use as a speaker phone in my office. Everyone in our company thinks they are the best. However, it is experiencing the same issues as with all my other Bluetooth headsets. Everything works except cannot answer or hang up calls pushing the buttons on the Bluetooth devices. The Bluetooth patio speakers in our courtyard also have the same issue. However, my colleagues using iPhone 5 and 5s who did not update to iOS8 are using all Bluetooth devices without any issues. Apple says it is a problem with my Bluetooth device. Come on Apple.... This makes 7 different Bluetooth devices with different manufacturers. You cannot possibly believe the problem is with the Bluetooth devices when iOS7 works perfectly fine...
On another issue, my iPhone 5s worked perfectly fine in my vehicle entertainment center connected via USB. The vehicle entertainment center had complete control of my iPhone and iTunes. However, now I plug in my new iPhone 6 and it no longer communicates with my vehicle entertainment center. Again when I called Apple, they said my vehicle entertainment center needed a firmware update. Are you kidding me... That is a bunch of BS...!!!

Nokia N8 headphone buttons not working :(

I recently bought a nokia n8 and when i plugged in the headset, its working fine,
all the buttons on it are fine. except for the call answering button!
when i recive a call and press the call answering button, there is no response to it, nothing happens..............and even when the phone is on the stand-by and i press and hold the call answering button,it doesnt prompt for the VOICE-rec.
but i tried using the headset on my nokia 5800 and the button was working fine, and but when i tried the headphone of nokia 5800 on my nokia N8, the call ansering was working
so i am confuse how to solve this riddel thing!

Simply put your headset isnt connected properly loads of people ahd the same issue
to fix it:
just take the headphone jack and plug it in real fast to the port until you hear a nice CLICK noise and your set

NOKIA X3 front buttons not working

Hello. Today my NOKIA x3's front buttons stopped working. They're just not responding no matter how much / hard I push them. But the thing is , that I think its a software's problem. Cos the on/off button works fine when turning on / off the phone ( the red button). But in the menu it does not respond. And the other thing is I've tried to hold the green button and * to restart my phone , and now it turns on , I can't go anywhere cos the front buttons are not working , only the key buttons are and the phone turns off randomly , sometimes with NOKIA logo sometimes without. Is there any way to fix this one myself?

remove the battery for a couple of minutes then try doing a factory restore type in *#7780# security code is 12345
you should also check for a software update.

I have a razer megalodon usb headset which works fine in ubuntu and windows but for the life of me I cannot get it to work in arch.

Alsamixer does not show my megalodon usually but I have seen it under device list a couple of times but I have been unable to get it to play sound.
Any help fixing sound would be appreciated greatly.

LiveSound headset not working correctly in cold weather.

Has anyone with the LiveSound hifi headset had problems with one of the earpieces (aka the left one for me) not working as it should? I was walking yesterday, outdoors, when it stopped working properly. Most of the music and sound for phone calls was on the right side,not the left. I read somewhere that this was a design flaw of the LiveSound headset. Once it warmed up later in the day, it returned back to normal.
Called SONY to report the problem, first for an exchange, then to tell them it has returned to working properly, and that this must be a design flaw. CSR agent (female) became rude,said she never heard of such problem, to send in or return to SONY store for exchange. I cannot travel 150 miles one way to exchange a defective headset everytime it does not work properly!

Thank you,but I believe a replacement is not going to be a solution, since from what I have read, there is no solution to this problem at this time. If you were willing to give me a credit, I can live with that. Otherwise no.
My mobile is becoming problematic, as with almost everything I have purchased from SONY. I will NOT recommend purchasing anything from SONY unless I find out otherwise that your mobiles are more reliable. My friends WILL NEVER purchase ANYTHING from SONY due to being totally unreliable. This would have never happened in the past, but has become commonplace in the present.
I also suggest a shakeup at customer support; no one knew about this problem, nor were they gracious. The lady I spoke to the last time was extremely rude. I cannot abide by that. Your support, since the involvement of SONY over the past few years, has caused customer support to become horrendous. I cannot abide by that either. Either customer support changes, or I will look elsewhere when looking into a new mobile phone.

Nokia 5800XM - Live Mail Not Working in Nokia Mess...

It has been a long time since I have been using the Nokia Messaging Email to receive emails from my different email accounts includinga couple of Windows Live Mail accounts to my Nokia 5800XM and it was working like a charm till a couple of weeks age.
Since last couple of weeks I am not receiving email from my Windows Live Mail accounts, other account POP/IMAP are working fine but Windows Live Mail account are not working at all, none of them. I haven't changed any password or something, I don't know what is wrong but I am unable to receive email from WLM, even if I open mail app and manually do a Send/ Receive, it doesn't update my emails from my WLM accounts. I have even tried resetting the data from Nokia Messaging Email settings but for no avail.
Can someone help or update me in this regard, what's going on, is it just me or . ...

Although Internet works, Nokia Mail uses another configuration account. Therefore, please, double-check Nokia » Menu » Configuration » Active. Which network operator do you use, in which country?

Nokia e72 push mail not working plus internet conn...

i bought nokia e72 yesterday for its free push mail. then i set up my yahoo and gmail account on it. but first problem is that its not working untill i manually sync it and the second problem is my internet connectivity icon always remain on the topleft corner of the screen.. plsease help me out with my problem....this is really annoying.

As far as I know the way it works is that (1) your phone maintains a connection with (one of the) Nokia servers, so that as soon as the Nokia server has anything to say (e.g. "new e-mail"), your phone gets it; and (2) the Nokia servers fetch your e-mails so that (1) can work.
Now, I don't know how (2) works. In theory the Nokia server should act like an IMAP client, and should be using IDLE in order to fetch the e-mails as soon as the server gets them.
I don't use Nokia Messaging anymore (I now prefer Profimail on my E75), but for some time I did research a bit on that topic, and noticed that the Nokia server was making an IMAP connection to my e-mails server (fastmail.fm) every 15min, i.e. not keeping it open permanently using IDLE. It may be that during those 15min sessions IDLE was used, and then the Nokia server simply decided to close and re-open the connection. That may sound illogical, but perhaps it's more reliable this way.
In any case, I was getting my e-mails on the phone instantly, i.e. the reconnection every 15min had no impact on the actual push delivery.
Apparently there are many people having problems with Nokia Messaging. I don't know if Gmail or Yahoo allow you to see a connection log, but if they do, please have a look and see if and how often a server from Nokia/Finland is connecting to your IMAP server.
Also, I would just in case log on on email.nokia.com and make sure that your account is active (the E72 should give you a lifetime subscription, but please double check).

Nokia 7500 prism keys not working

I hav a nokia 7500 prism.The left and right selection keys have suddenly stopped working.The right selection key displays 6 and left displays 4 in standby mode.They r not working in any other menus,no shortcuts working.Also the numeric key 5 when pressed displays 5 before the number which was pressed previously(eg. 345 gets displayed as 354.
can someone help me?

Try restarting the phone. If that does not work then you have have to try resetting. Try the restart first and lets hope it works.
