N95-1 has been updated to v20 with demand paging and N95 8GB came installed with it.
But... N95-3 for ameirca still is slow................

Yes I agree. If anything can we get the updated camera software.. It sucks to try to use the camera and it takes quite a long time to go from snap to snap. on my N95-1 after the update the camera was pretty quick processing images etc. to where you could actually use the camera. Now its currently so slow that it makes using the camera unbearable.

Last week I updated the firmware of my E61 to version 2 and I really regret it. (is there anyway of going back to the old firmware? ) I cant stand pressing blue function key when I browse the web on my E61 every single time I want to use a shortcut, it gets reallllly annoing after a few times. I think most of E61 users will agree with me that this 'bug' ruined this update. Also there seems to be a problem with mp3 player. When an equaliser preset is active it goes off every time you change the song and you have to press volume up or down in order to set it on active again. I know there are more bugs in this new firmware but I think those two I mentioned are bothering me the most. I would also be very very thankful if the new firmware will have support for PAP for EAP-TTLS. (or maybe a separate plugin ?) any replies are welcome (especially from the Nokia staff )

The iPad 4, which is now also called the iPad with retina display, essentially replaces the iPad 3, which is no longer available except as a refurbished product. The naming is confusing, as both the iPad 3 and iPad 4 had a retina display. [N95] US - No New Firmware v12

Hi,
I have an unlocked N95, downloaded the latest Nokia Software Updater and I still do not get the latest firmware, I am still getting v11.0.026 as the latest.
I asked before and was explained about a kind of sequence that eventually will reach my phone, does anyone knows how long usually it takes to be available to an US unlocked phones?
Does works to use a SOCKS proxy in UK and run the Updater? or definitely is something stored in the phone.

To the best of my knowledge it is something stored on the phone called the product code.

Hello,
I have Nokia 5800 XM - RM356. My Firmware version is v30.0.011.
I can see new version available v40 for my phone on Nokia website.
But, when I try to update my firmware. It says 'no new updates available'.
I tried both ways using *#0000# and using Nokia Software Updater via USB cable.
1] Am I missing something like server profile when I try OTA way (I have default server 'Nokia')?
2] Is this nokia v40 is region specific?
I am sure that my version has lot of bugs and that's why I want new and more stable firmware version.
Any sort of help is greatly appreciated.

You fine your code under you battery, put in that page and see if the update is avilable for you, I had the same system as yours, I updated mine.. v40 is great, connect your phone to a WiFi connection and try updating it OTA, if you already done that, then maybe you should rest your phone.. maybe it's a bug..

Where can I find the new firmware update?

Hi there, I have bought some months ago a 60 GB Ipod video. I cannot find a firmware update and I cannot update the software to version 1.2. I found no Information on the apple website about using the 5th generation ipod 60 GB with games. Can me someone help and answer the question why I cant find any updates for a video I pod 60 GB?

Nokia Configuration Tool and E70 with new firmware...

After the firmware update with NSU an interesting problem appeared - every attempt to import or load the profile from the phone to application fails with error message stating that the connection was lost. No difference whether to use USB or bluetooth connection. Because all was fine before the update, the alleged Nokia statement about the USB port problems on many computers (found on some S60-related blog) cannot be taken seriously.
It seems like the Configuration Tool is now also needing some update for compatibility with 3.06330.09.04 firmware
P.S. However the program is not completely unusable - I managed to load the e-mail and SIP server settings to the phone without problems.

New firmware for Nokia C7-00

After a quick search around, i get completely lost about the right and safe firmware for this phone.
There are some issues ready to be fixed, so im guessing nokia is working on that. Having that said, i see to many firmwares, to many versions, to many sources, absolutely no oficial news on that.
Using the phone itself, there are no new updates.....

Actualy, even i dont input my product code, when i select the phone, immediately i get: There are no software updates available for this product yet
So, i understand there is zero releases for this phone, since its exists....
Hope im wrong.
Paid big money for a phone who doesnt identify the sms sender.....

I have found on a few different nokia-related-pages that is a new firmware for nokia 6110 navigator (version 6.01). no information about bugfixes, nokia service centers seem to already have it. more to come.

Ok here comes the first news and bugfix list from 5.11 (and i add 4.22 infos) (i use the numbers from here: /discussions/board/message?board.id=swupdate&message.id=40488&query.id=554906#M40488 )
a nokia service center did update my phone to version 6.01.
firs of all: seems to be a again just a mini-upfate as 5.11 was.
- Nokia 6110 Navigator gets firmware 6.01 (02-09-08)
- Nokia Navigator-Program is still version 8.0.12274 (11422) as it was in 5.11, no updates, no routing towards coordinates as in newer route66mobile8 available.
- New firmware seems to get better satellite-signal (not faster, but better signal and therefore more satellites that are actually used)
- No flash lite 3.0, still 2.0
- Maybe sound quality improved in carkit-mode for the one using the phone, was not yet able to try to talk with another person
- Battery bug fixed (as in 5.11)
now concearning the other bugs:
1- could not yet try that alarm-bug
2- fixed, i hear no sound-crack
3- not fixed, volume +/- still not activated in games
4- i have no dual-sim, can not try this

6- not fixed, deleted numbers still in protocol

It would be up to Toshiba to release an official firmware update for this drive and at the moment they do not have one.
You could of course look at 3rd party sites such as cdfreaks.com.

N91 New Firmware Release?

Hello.
Will a Nokia Moderator please read this thread. I currently have a Nokia N91 RM-43 with the firmware v2.10.013 & the problem is that the ringtone volume is always low even when i put volume full in Profile Settings & Select different Equalizer setting & when turning Stereo Widening on.
I was wondering if Nokia were going to release a new firmware ? if so when will it be available?

Widout headphones it low.. wid headphones if i select Bass Booster Equalizer the ringtone is low but the bass is like its gona pop lol..
&the ringtone is in aacPlus format at 32Kbps in Stereo / 44100Hz
same if i use mp3 aswell or wma or any oda formats lol..

New Firmware Update for Nokia N95 (RM-159 ) :Decem...

Hello All,
It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?

i own a nokia n95 classic. and there is new firmware available is v21.0.016 which has few interesting features. and i would like to update to that....
but it is available only at ncp......
which asks to keep your device for a day or more... and they perform lot of rnd on it....( cannot guarantee ).
i cannot trust them...(specially in my city).
so when this firmware is available through nokia software update software...........

not all product codes has v21, try to wait a little while and it should be available for yours.
