Nokia X-6 new SW update version 40.0.002

Hi All
I've updated my device to newest version 40.0.002
it looks great with new auto swipe unlock.
more observations later since updated only on last 8th.
If anybody have new experience with SW 40.0.002 please write

Did you try thru' FOTA as well as Nokia Suite ?

Nokia N78 When Newer Firmware Update

Hi!
I have a Nokia N78 with v12.046, the last firmware, and this FW have a much bugs. When Nokia release a new firmware for Nokia N78 to solve the much bugs that this version of FW have ?

the new soft ware have huge number of bugs
1- the phne hange at any time and many time in each situation ( play game , open clip, WLAN browsing , and pla pla pal)
2-the power safer just only when i make it 30 sec or 1 min or any time , its start to work after 5 secs only
3- the videwo dont have send option from the gallary , you showld go to photo = all = and after that send the clip
the phone after i turn off need to make turn one 3 tmes or more and may be hanger
and many other bugs
its the most mad phone software
and i reinsttal the soft ware and phormat the memory and every thing still like that

What will the new carrier update (version 5.1) do to my iphone 4s? is it safe? will it delete any of my data?

I am a new to the iphone world don't really understand the new carrier update and any insight would be highly appreciated

Carrier updates are provided by your service provider.
Are you talking about the ios update that Apple provides?
If so, then:
iOS 5.1 Software Update
It should delete nothing, but you should always have everything on your comptuer and backed up just in case.
Why would it not be safe?

the 5200 is a bit of an old phone, so the information would not be provided on the Software Update News section unfortunately. also, only information for S60 models and not S40 as your phone is, is provided on that webpage. also, changelogs are considered confidenital information by Nokia, so for that reason they are not disclosed in the public domain. if you do want to know changes, your best bet is to Google for the information, and what other 5200 users have noticed.

Why nokia asha 308 new virson updates are not avai...

I saw in internet that nokia asha 308 updates are available from march 2013 but it is still not available in india why so late and tell us from when it will be available in india which month???

The problem with that is that Nokia already has the updates but the country service provider may still be pendin the updates approval. So Nokia waits until the service providers accept the updates then they wil be made available for you. The latest version as to my knowledge is V 8.13

New firefox update-version 35.0 - general use of firefox

Since the actual firefox-version 35.0 is updated, some unusual problems with firefox can be noticed.
For example if starting firefox with several windows and with opening the last session of firefox, the order of the windows are not the same as before and I have to close some windows to set them in the order as before.
And if some tabs in a window are closed and I have opened them again, they are not opened separately one after another, but only one tab in which all the closed tabs are opened then after another, but the previous ones are overdubbed from the following ones.
Only if the closed tabs are opened simultaneously, then all the closed tabs are opened separately again as before, but not at the same place of the tabs in the window as before.

Issues during installation of WDJ7 Patch after new Smart Update version

Hi everybody,
today I installed the WebLogic Server 10.3.2 64 bit to use it for Enterprise Manager Grid Control 11g. One of the prerequisites is the WDJ7 patch for the WebLogic Server.
After the update of the Smart Update on July 11 it is not possible to get that patch over the Smart Update gui (Note: 1294294.1). I tried to download the patch with the id 9438213 over My Oracle Support. The descripton (SU Patch [WDJ7]: Mandatory Patch required on WLS 10.3.2 for Oracle Grid Control (GC) 11.1 install) of the download looks fine, but in the zip file the jar WDJ7.jar is missing. The zip files contains only the following files:
*4D53.jar*
NIXN.jar
patch-catalog_15563.xml
patch-catalog.xml
XLXA.jar
README.txt
How can I get the WDJ4 patch? Do I use the wrong patch id?

If you look at the install documentation of the Grid Control you'll find:
"Ensure that you apply patch ID WDJ7 on Oracle WebLogic Server using the Oracle Smart Update utility. This patch fixes bugs 8990616, 9100465, and 9221722."
After loading the patch into Smart Update you'll see that the 3 entries which appears under tab Manage Patches are in fact fixing those three bugs.

I get constant notifications to update to a safer and better Firefox. I've tried many times with no success. Now it tells me my computer is not compatible with a newer or updated version of Firefox. What can I do to make it more compatible?

You could use firefox 3.6, which is old but still supported and secure. However the best solution is to give up on using Google Toolbar because Google no longer support it with firefox, mainly because it has little to offer.
You can still save google bookmarks by copying them into Firefox. Please have a look at

I am hoping the Norton report you refer to merely says your system has vulnerabilities, rather than that it has an actual infection (or that it has dealt with or quarantined any malware).

It looks like new firmware update is available for Nokia N95 basic model .
Earlier Version of Firmware was : 30.0.015
Now the latest available Firmware was : 31.0.014
When i connected my N95 to PC using PC-Suite, it notified me about this. But when i searched the internet for change log , i found none. Is it right firmware , why Nokia didn't disclose change log, which it used to do it earlier ???
I will wait for 2 more days for official communication from Nokia....

Ok, so no one wants to install this firmware because theyre affraid they loose their freedom?

@eldaradian Mhm. Firmware version 07.66 should be available for your firmware variant 059H0R7 via the Nokia Suite and the Software Recovery Tool on a Windows computer. You are about the phone internal software update, aren’t you? In that case:
Which firmware version do you have at the moment?
Which network operator do you use, in which country?

buddy they have improved the bluetooth. its nice.
LT font router is also not working so u have to remain with small font but psiloc font magnifier works

There's a new SW update available for Nokia C2-02 and Nokiw C2-03: version 7.63. These device models are also sold as C2-06/C2-07/C2-08 on certain regions. The update is already available via Nokia Suite, FOTA update should be coming out sooner or later as well. I will post an update about the here later on.

Try to reinstall the software of your Nokia C2-02. Using Nokia Suite click on Tools > Software update > Reinstall.
If in case you can't reinstall the software, try doing a master reset. Go to Menu > Settings > Restore factory settings > Restore All.
Note: Create a backup first before doing any kind of reset to avoid deletion of data. If prompted for a lock code, enter 12345 unless you changed it.

Got the same problem: Unable to retrieve phone information.
I reinstalled Nsu -> did not help. Same error.
I am using the general Profile and restarted the phone several times (plus removing battery) etc etc.
My product code is 0572856.
My custom version is 10.045.203.2 (29.09.08)
According to my phone provider there is a newer software available. I got the problem that the caller-id is not always shown when the contact is saved in the phone: When i save my second number in my n85 contacts with the international dial code, i can see the contacts name when receiving SMS only, but not if i get called from that number. When i remove the international dial code i can see the contact's name when i get called but not when i receive a SMS. I have only one contact saved in my phone (no duplicates!). Tried to move it to sim memory, to either use one memory or both memories. Nothing helps. Whether the number is from the same phone provider or not does not make any difference. I cant save both formats in one contact either.
According to my phone provider this is a known bug and can be removed by downloading the latest firmware for N85.
But i cant download anything, dont even know if there is really a newer software to download for my above mentioned version.
i tried to download nsu-versions in other languages, but that did not help too.
any help/suggestions?

If you are located in Sri Lanka, your Nokia Care might refuse to change the product code. You have to double check with them and hope the best. Although, in a situation like yours, I would not waste much time and do it myself.
That's something great to hear from you. I have been kind of a techy guy for a long time and I am a fast learner. So I believe that I will be able to execute the change of region task, if a set of instructions are there to follow. Can you provide me with a source that teaches how to change the region of a mobile phone?
Regarding the suggestions to Nokia, I then don't think that they would want to hear views from their customers and they might well want to go on their own way (probably why Samsung overtook them in mobile industry). I do not know and this is actually my 2nd Nokia phone in my life (had a short stint with Nokia 2600 Classic, a long time ago).
For an example, the Sony Ericsson Cedar (and their other basic phones) had the feature to set specific "Message tones" to specific contacts, instead of setting a general message tone for every contact. But Nokia does not provide such a feature. Probably, they think that such features are not relevant, but still many of their customers around the world would have loved to have such kinds of small small features.This feature was very vital for me during the days I was using SE Cedar and I am missing that feature a lot from Nokia 208.
The other major issue is that, Nokia does not allow minimizing of Java applications. For example, When I had SE Cedar, I used to browse internet using Opera Mini while I text with someone for a longer time. I mean, until the other party sends a reply, I browse the internet and once the reply arrives, I minimize it and continue texting and then get back to surfing internet again after sending the reply. But with Nokia, I have got to close the application to read the text message and that's been really annoying.
I tried to break the Nokia Security Wall with some sort of tutorial based on internet related to S40 firmwares, but it did not work.
Any help regarding the issues mentioned above, would be highly appreciated.
