Nokia X2-01: Can't view contacts
I really hope someone can help me with this problem because I'm so annoyed.
First, I had to call Simple Mobile because the internet configuration settings they provide online we no good so they message the settings to your phone and all you have to do is save them.
Then, today I was trying to access my contacts to add people and it said "Contact service provider for synchronization settings."
Then, I called Simple Mobile again and the woman said enter 0000, 1111, 4444, or 1234 and none of those codes worked because she wanted me to reset it to factory settings. She said something about there being no support for that phone and to call Nokia.
Then, I called Nokia and luckily the person was nice and it was pretty much the same thing except this time the code was 12345. After I reset it my contacts worked so I thought that problem was finally solved but no because then my internet didn't work so I had to call Simple Mobile again to get it working.
After all of that and when I finally thought it was over with now my phone says, "Contacts not available yet. Try again later." I bought this phone thinking it would was the best for the price and on the Simple Mobile website it had it as approved phones for use but now that I have it it's being a pain. I need to view my contacts and be able to add people.
I think the problem is is that this phone is supposed to be for T-Mobile and I wish there was a way to turn the synchonization off in Menu>Settings>Sync & backup>Synchronization. I feel so lied to because I thought this phone would work well with my service and I didn't have this problem before I connected it. It's on the list of pre-approved phones on Simple Mobile so I don't know why I keep having this problem.
Do I need to update my firmware?

i've got the address book in 'book' view (left contacts - right contact detail)... i click on a contact and the details do not show up to right- it's 'stuck' on my 1st contact detail.
the only way to view contact detail is by double clicking contact on left side list and a new window pops up with info... AND, i can't search for a contact- HELP!

Nokia 5233 I can't view my images off my external ...
I can't seem to see my images off my memory card on my phone, I've reset the settings and everything still nothing... I also when want to set a ringtone or message tone with a song it says it hasn't got enough memory.. My phone memory is 40M while my External Memory is 3Gb...
I transferred them by clicking on my hard drive then under "search for" I opened "all images" then just dragged the photos to the new folder on my desktop.
Never, ever use this to work on an iPhoto Library. What you've done is remove those pics from the Library folder and that's why you get the !.
Do you have a back up? If so, restore it. If not, then you're going to need to create a new Library and start over with iPhoto from Scratch.
To create and populate a new *iPhoto 09* library:
Note this will give you a working library with the same Events and pictures as before, however, you will lose your albums, keywords, modified versions, books, calendars etc.
In the iPhoto Preferences -> Events Uncheck the box at 'Imported Items from the Finder'
Move the iPhoto Library to the desktop
Launch iPhoto. It will ask if you wish to create a new Library. Say Yes.
Go into the iPhoto Library (Right Click -> Show Package Contents) on your desktop and find the Originals folder. From the Originals folder drag the individual Event Folders to the iPhoto Window and it will recreate them in the new library.
When you're sure all is well you can delete the iPhoto Library on your desktop.
To back up individual photos:
1. Select the pics in the iPhoto Window and go File -> Export, and export them to a folder on the desktop. Back that up.
2. To back up the Library: Copy the iPhoto Library from your Pictures Folder to an external disk.

i'm been using PC suite 6.85.14 from past 3 months.. everything works fine, recently new update to ver 6.86.9.0.
i start having problem reading & Send text message from PC suite. the rest just working fine. i can backup, view contacts, sync calendar & contacts.
i was thought it was because the new version might have some bug, i uninstalled this new version, cable driver, pc connectivity solution and install back ver 6.85.14.
same thing happen with error message "unable to read text message from phone", when i press new sms button, on top showing "Text message editor - no phone connected" but it is connected. i can do other things..

Can not transfer contacts from Nokia 1020 Windows Phone to Mercedes C. Windows Phone states that it is only voice connection when trying to transfer data, and if sharing, Mercedes will not show up as bluetooth device at all. However Merceds show Noika as a device. Can't upload contacts from my nokia n8 to SkyDrive via nokia suite 3.8.48. i choose Instruments - upload to skydrive. then i log in my live.com account, then click "yes" for accses to my data and... nothing happens. initail "copying to skydrive" blue screen with only "later" button available. reinstalling nokia suite, rebootng my phone doesn't help.

Yesterday I ran into a problem that was eye opening to say the least. I could not not access my contacts in order to find a friend's phone number. No one remembers phone numbers any more. God knows I don't.
I was on a jetski and it broke down. I was stranded at a dock miles away. I needed to contact my friend to tell him (a) I'm ok, (b) where I was, (c) to bring a tow. Of course I had no phone on me because it would have gotten soaked.
People were kind enough on the dock to let me use their smart phones to attempt to retreive the phone number and call for help. But I quickly discovered that it is impossible.
On an iPhone, I tried to use their Safari browser to go to www.icloud.com. When you do that, it simply redirects you to the apps. But it isn't my phone, and their apps are logged in to the owner's accounts. I wasn't about to update the settings in a stranger's phone.
One guy let me try his iPad with Cellular. Same problem as the iphones. It would not let me use www.icloud.com. It insisted that I use the native iOS apps.
On an Android, www.icloud.com would simply refuse to work. It would say it was not supported.
The question I have is: How can I view my contacts from someone else's smart phone in an emergency situation?
Second question: Why can't I use www.icloud.com on a smart phone's web browser like I can on regular computer?
I got lucky. I happened to know my mom's home number. Many hours later she was home and I was able to use a phone to call her. She brought up www.icloud.com on her home computer, logged on as me, and read me the phone number I was seeking. But what are the chances of being able to call a trusted person who has access to a computer to do this for you?Without "pretending" to be yourself on the other phone (change settings) there's nothing else you can do.
iOS devices are meant to be single user and can't view iCloud.com the same way a Mac or PC can do.
You need to find a desktop or laptop machine (Mac or PC) to log in at iCloud. -

Can anybody help me out on the follwoing questions
how can i view my iphone contents on PC. How can i view my backup data in itunes. How can i see my SMS and contact on PCThe data isn't actually stored in iTunes. iTunes is like a card catalog that allows you to access information from the various places that it's stored on the computer. SMS and contact info will be viewable in whatever program you sync contact information. The backup actually keeps the files, but doesn't make them viewable, I'm pretty sure. You can only see the info you've actually synced.

.mp4 and .m4v are 'containers' and while they may well contain AppleTv compatible 'codecs' this is not necessarily the case.
Also even if a file plays in iTunes it will not necessarily play on AppleTV.
There is an app which will interrogate your files to give the codec info - the name escapes me currently - hopefully someone else will remember or I will!
On your AppleTV have you checked that these files are not appearing under the Home Videos category.
You could also potentially download the Handbrake transcoder and run the files through it using an AppleTV preset. -

By any chance that you have made a backup using PC suite or memory card? If not, it will be difficult to retrieve deleted contents unless you have an access to a software that can do a recovery check in phone or sim-card memory. -
Panoramic photos. I have a Sony Cybershot camera. My problem is that I can't view my panoramic photos properly with iPhoto. Sony says to contact Mac support. Has anyone any info on this prob, please?
Not sure what you want - you shoot the photo by doing a sweep and the camera makes a static JPEG that is long (panaromic) and you import it - on the camera and in iPhoto is is a panaromic photo
