I have a Lumia 520, and i find that i do not receive push notifications for my whatsapp messages. I have to open the application before the messages come through. I would like to know how to correct this. I have checked all my settings.

On a HTC-forum I saw the next solution, and it works also for Nokia Lumia! That means it is a Microsoft Issue!
1) Unpin Windows store from start
2) ERASE Internet Explorer History
3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings-->keyboard-->add keyboards
(CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT REQUIRE DOWNLOAD)
4) When downloading is finished, it will ask to restart and install
5) After installation and restart do the following;
A) UNINSTALL WHATSAPP
B) REINSTALL WHATSAPP (you can get conversation history back when asked, so no problem)
After this the push function works, but there is still a delay up to 10 minutes! So when you test, be patient.
NO BETTER PRESSURE MEDIUM THAN ANTI ADVERTISING SO AFTER THIS EXPEDITION PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STATUS TEXT TO:
USING WINDOWS; THAT MEANS DELAY UP TO 10 MINUTES
When all Window Phone users display that message, Microsoft has to come with a final solution!

Nokia chat / push notifications

hi all,
i have nokia 208. i tried to setup nokia chat however push notifications do not work. once i exit app i am not notified about new message. nokia chat is not present in notifications app unlike facebook. what should i do? thanks

N8 - Push Notifications?

I was reading about Nokia Drop on Beta Labs and it says it uses Push Notifications, so no cable or Bluetooth connection is needed.
Could someone explain what 'Push Notifications' are please.
History: Always Nokia since 1994 including Nokia 2140, 7110e, 6150, 6210, 6310i, 6230i, N82
Current: Nokia N8 (Anna - I have no intention of going to Belle) - and delighted with it!

its quite simple Nokia Drop's push notification system makes use of active data connection so keep your EDGE/3G services or WLAN active.

Nokia 501 push notification bug

I bought a 501 has been 2 weeks and Push notification features of Facebook does not work. It always display "enabling" and then yesterday I no longer see the option Push notification on FB app anymore. ? Will I be alone this error? My FB version is 3.2.2
Push notification features work great with Twitter
What can i do now ? I want to reset but Nokia suite not support this phone

Push Notifications for Nokia C3

Hi , I have a Nokia C3 in which there is no "Push Notification" due to which I am unable to get notifications on new emails. Any suggestions/solutions are appreciated.

It is possible that you will not receive e-mail notifications because you're using a POP 3. How many email accounts are set up on your phone? Would you know if these are POP or IMAP?
We hope below info would be of any help, BTW:
There are certain Mail application settings that can affect the delivery of e-mail notifications to your Nokia device. From your Inbox, select Options > More > Settings (or Options > E-mail alerts or Options > Settings > mailbox ) and check the following settings:
Verify the Alert me for new mails setting is enabled. If it is not, enable it.
Verify the Alert me only during setting (if available). This setting specifies during which hours you want to receive e-mail notifications. If you are not currently within a notification period, you will not receive new e-mail notifications. You may want to modify your notification period.
In addition to your account settings, roaming can also affect the delivery of e-mail notifications.

No Push Notifications with Nokia Lumia 820 WP8

Our Servers are Setting up very well and are tested and installed by a Lync Partner. Push Notifications for Lync 2013 App on Nokia Lumia 820 doesn't work.

Push Notification Problem in Nokia Asha 308

Hi all,
Yesterday i updated my push notification to V2.0.11 in my Asha 308. Now i am facing a problem that even after reading the msg on my Whatsapp it show that i have pending msg. i didn't face this problem before in v1.6.4.
Can anyone help me on on this?

Whenever i started my whats app after deleting the push notification app i was getting notification update. which when clicked updated my push notification to the latest version.
ALso in the facebook app settings you can get enable push notification which updates or downloads the push notification app.

I am an iphone 4s user.
My phone worked fine until last week, then suddenly it stopped receiving push notifications from facebook and my gmail.
I have to manually log into facebook and email to see notifications and new emails.

TS4083 Email and Push Notifications

I have my email account on my phone but it will not sound or send me notifications to notify me that I have an email. I have to physically go into my mailbox in order to see that I have emails. What can I do in order to receive push notifications?

Again,we shouldn't have to. I've been an iPhone user since 3G and its taken years just to get simple things that even 10 year old nokias can do. Since we can now use our own alert tones etc, they can't even get them to be quiet when on a call. I've no need to know I've received a text or email when I'm on a call.
Always seems like apple don't think things through in the rush to get their gadgets out. Surely this is an easy fix that could have been sorted by now, there are enough complaints about it.

Social: Update to Include Push Notifications and C...

Hi,
I've been thinking since about the first day i had my N8 that Social should have Facebook Notifications, as well as enabling them to be "Pushed" to the device's Homescreen, and Facebook Chat. If iMonster can have it, so can we!
I was looking at the developer end of Nokia, and came across Ovi Notifications, enabling push Notifications to Homescreen. So that part is possible.
As for chat, if third party apps can utilise the FB chat server, why can't Nokia?
My suggestion is that Nokia take this on board and include it in the v1.4 update of the Social App.
Anyone else agree?

I have already used it (5800 XM and X7) and was disappointed as it didn't live up to the hype. I don't particularly wanna give it a third shot. ATM, eBuddy is okay, but i really want something native.

Having issues regarding the push notifications. WhatsApp Facebook,twitter etc ..push notifications are not working. Whats the solution for this.

What's the exact error message & which connection are you using? Cellular data or WiFi? What troubleshooting steps have you tried? Have you tried to reboot the phone? Press and hold the volume down and power keys until the phone vibrates. You can also try to toggle between the 2 internet connections to further isolate the issue. What's your Firmware Rev. #? Make sure that your phone's software is up-to-date. Keep us posted.

Ios7 and push notifications and music

this update is really starting to annoy me now.
everytime i go on texts/whatsapp/kik/ anything it tells me to connect my phone to itunes to use push notifications.. so i connected to itunes and got load of songs i didnt want on my phone and no push notifications.
i have no idea how to delete the songs cause swiping accross doesnt work and clicking it just makes it play.. so help ??
and how do i get my push notifications to work?! its driving me crazy
i dont really wanna throw my phone at the wall but i can see it happening.....
