Hi,
Trying to connect to the Nokia X2 but Windows 7 can't find a USB driver..
That means the Nokia software can't connect..
How does one find a USB driver for the Nokia X2?

Found some ADB drivers for the older Nokia X models which seem to work with the X2 as well.
Despite installing them (Windows 7 now seems happy with the drivers) still can't connect with Nokia Suite or the older Nokia PC Suite.
Been trying to copy the data over with MobileTrans as well:

However it seems to be unable to find the phone despite drivers now being installed.
It did copy the data from the old Nokia 700 very effectively... but that's only half a job.
Anyone successfully transferred their data via a USB?

Unable to Load USB Driver in LV for Total Phase's Aardvark I2C adaptor

I have tried to instal Total Phase's Aardvark I2C USB driver for LabVIEW on two computers and two versions of LV (8.5 and 7.1) without success. The Windows driver seems to be working fine as their command center gui terminal-esque program works without a hitch, but the LV DLL doesn't seem to work.
Attached is the very simple vi to find connected Aardvark USB devices (aa_find_devices). It always returns the same error code, 8002, which resolves to:
AA_UNABLE_TO_LOAD_DRIVER
-2
unable to load USB driver

This looks like perhaps the LabVIEW DL, "aardvark.dll" maybe having a versioning issue. So my question is this: Using LabVIEW, how does one debug dll dependencies and resolve issues like this? Do I need the source code for the lib?

Let me start off by apologizing for the inconvenience you
have gone through. I am an engineer at Total Phase. We are
working on fixing this issue for our next release of the
Aardvark LabVIEW Driver. This forum post was only brought
to our attention today. In the future, you can also let
Total Phase know about these kinds of issues by emailing
[email protected] We are very responsive through
email or phone.
The problem you are experiencing has to do with versioning
issues between our DLL and USB driver. Specifically, DLLs
before v5.xx must use the older version of our USB driver.
By replacing the DLL from our latest version of Control
Center, you have effectively upgraded the DLL that the
LabVIEW driver is using and made it compatible with v2.xx of
the USB driver.
The most likely reason that smercurio_fc did not see a
difference between the DLL in Aardvark Control Center and
the LabVIEW driver is because he is using an older version
of Control Center and correspondingly an older version of
the USB driver.
The reason that we have not packaged the LabVIEW driver with
latest DLL is due to the fact that a few functions have
changed their function prototypes (for example aa_open_ext
and aa_spi_write), and the VIs have not yet been updated
accordingly. Although updating the DLL solved your USB
driver issue, it introduced this new issue. If you try to
use these certain VIs, LabVIEW will error out.
We are currently working on updating the LabVIEW drivers to
work cohesively with the new DLL and USB driver, and this
should be available soon. If you need immediate
availability to the functions with new prototypes you will
have to change it manually. The other recommended option is
to simply revert back to the DLL that is packaged with our
LabVIEW driver and downgrade the USB driver back to v1.xx.
I will make sure to post again once the update is released,
and I once again apologize for the inconvenience.

Unable to connect shared drive on Sun host via PCNFS v5.1

I am trying to setup a shared directory on a Sun host running SunOS Release 5.6. I have an old version of PCNFS v5.1 for DOS that I require for a legacy application which seems to be setup correctly. However when I try to mount a shared drive on the Sun server I using "mt.exe" I get the message "Unable to connect the resource '/dirname' from the Server 'name'. Reason: Unrecognized RPC error number 1005." When I try to use the "net use..." command it also fails with the message "PCNFS 251F: The NET USE failed with an internal error code of 1005." I have mountd and rpc.pcnfsd running on the Sun host and would appreciate any help that can be provided. Thanks!

I have looked under Wireless/Advanced Wireless Setting, and in fact, all around in the setup, but don't have any parameter called AP Isolation. Router model is BEFW11S4.
Any other ideas?

Nokia 7310 supernova unable to connect to Ovi/PC s...

Advice sought on how to overcome lack on connectivity on our new Nokia 7310 supernova phone tried for 2 days now to connect using CA-101 cable to connect to Ovi/then Nokia PC Suite. Both PC's send message the device is not recognised, when in PC system the driver is an old MS driver and clicking the update then directing to driver folder no luck. PC doesn't like the driver or cant locate in the Nokia cable folder.
PC's are both running XP and SP3 .
The Nokia suite works fine on our previous phones N 6230i and 7250i. Tried the remove sw cleaner from Nokia then installed lastest version still no t been able to get the driver recognised below:
Ovi suite v. 2 5 0 164
PC suite v installer 2 2 27
and driver package vesion v 7 1 22 0
Any comments suggestion most welcomed.

You can remove the Ovi Suite completely from Add remove.
- Remove Nokia Connectivity cable driver
- Remove PC Connectivity solution
and then go to My computer-Right Click Manage- Device manager - Ports- Remove all Which shows as nokia there.
- Restart Computer
- install ovi Suite
- Connect and check

Nokia Messaging Email - Unable to connect to the s...

Every time I try to add my corporate email to nokia messaging I receive this error:
Unable to connect to the server. Please try again later.
I confirm that the email address and the password are 100% correct. I confirm my phone setup and internet work perfectly becasue I successfully added another 3 email acounts.

I decided to revisit this topic out of curiosity and managed to get it working! I solved it with a variation of post #9 by Tbosh.
As you repeat his step #1, take note of the subdomain of the URL, in my case it began with http://netac3.vie....
When you get to the step where he mentions

replace the subdomain with yours, so in my case the link became
https://netac3.vie.hosting.nokia.com/account/addEmailMoreInfoNoCorpSuppo...
I suggest you perform the process on your desktop, it's easier than on your mobile device.

Password protect 2 connected usb drives

I have an Airport Extreme Base Station. I have one USB hard drive connected to it that's protected with a password. No problem so far.
Now I want to add another USB hard drive to the AEBS via an usb hub. I was wondering if it's possible to password protect that new hard drive with another password than the first hard drive?
So, to connect to drive 1 you need to know password A.
To connect to drive 2 you need to know password B.

Connect that second drive and launch Airport Utility. Go to disks and explore your options. You'll find you cannot do that.

Missing Apple Mobile Device USB Driver Missing From My Device Manager

Hi Everyone, My Apple Mobile Device Usb Driver Does'nt Show up in my Device Manager. But when i go Control panel>> Admin Tools>> Services its there but when i go Start>>Run type in devmgmt.msc an the device manager comes up an under the heading Universal Control Bus Contoller the Apple mobile device usb driver is suppoed to appear but it doesnt all my other usb attached devices do how do i fix this problem?????

For what it's worth. I had the same problem, and here is how I fixed.
I downloaded Roxio Uninstaller and deleted everything Apple. Itunes, Bonjour, Apple Mobile Divce Manager, and Safari, everything get rid of it all. the good thing about roxio is that you can scan for anything that the program uninstaller missed.
Then I down loaded itunes again and Whalaa! It now works.

Apple Mobile Device USB Driver missing Windows 8.1

Have just downloaded iTunes 11.3 but it now doesn't recgonize my 6th Gen. iPod nano. Have narrowed it down to a missing Apple Mobile Device USB Driver in the Device Manager but there isn't a potential alternative to the iPod i.e. another device to choose from.
How can I re-install/download this driver?

OK. I found my answer, thanks to another posting.
Uninstall iTunes
Uninstall Apple Software Update
Uninstall Mobile Device Service
Uninstall Bonjour
Uninstall Application Support....all in this order.
Clear everything from Trash.
Restart PC
Install latest version of iTunes.
It worked!

Connect USB drive automatically at computer starts

Hi Apple fans
I recently upgraded my home network with a 1TB 2.5' external hard drive plugged into my Airport Extreme, which we use at home to store files and more importantly as Time Machine HD for backup.
the trick is when a computer starts (both a iMac G5 and a Macbook are on the network), I need to manually connect to the hard drive for the OS to mount/recognize it and Time Machine to be able to run backups.
Is there a command or even a script which will execute this automatically so when one computer starts the HD on the Airport USB mount automatically in Finder? thanks for any suggestions

Ever since the Airport Extreme 802.11n exists i used wireless HD storage, and lately used it as Time Machine backup. Never had (fingers crossed) any issues, the Airport Setup is quite handy to setup access and password for USB connected HD on the AP Extreme.

Nokia PC software unable to connect to E5 via Blue...

Hi. I have a Nokia E5 with fully up to date software on it. I have succesfully paired it with my HP Pavilion dv6 laptop running Windows 7 Home Premium, again, fully up to date.
I can connect via the usb cable and transfer/backup data from my phone. Ok, so far so good. I tried to do this via Bluetooth. I have the phone paired with the laptop, I can see it if I go into Bluetooth connections and devices and the phone is there with a tick by it. Bluetooth is turned on at the phone I have checked. I can explore the phone from the Windows Bluetooth page on the laptop. I try to connect via the Nokia PC Suite but the option to connect via Bluetooth is not available? The text is there but no link, it is greyed out.
So, any ideas why? Is this a Nokia PC suite problem or a Windows one?

Just to add to this. When I go to the connection page (with the picture of the phone and cable etc in the background) I have tried to click on what should be a link 'Use bluetooth instead' with the bluetooth symbol right next to it. Trouble is the link does not..... link. It remains grey and no amount of clicking on it does anything.
I have checked in the Windows bluetooth software and the device is 'paired', or it says it is and as stated before, I can transfer files with the Windows Explorer software.
One other thing I have noticed, my contacts got mixed up (address fields in the wrong order) when I synced using USB. Could the software be flawed? I have tried the repair route by the way.

Nokia 7210 phone unable to connect to laptop with ...

I have a Nokia 7210 phone which is still working correctly. I have a usb cable DKU-5 and have tried to connect it to the laptop, which runs Vista Home Premium, (32 bit). I have downlaoded Nokia PC Suite, followed instructions there, but on connecting the cable, and then the phone to cable, all I get is the message 'phone not connected'.
What is wrong, or what am I doing incorrectly ?
I want the phone connected so that I can download photos from the 7210.
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction.

Abi99, I have followed what you suggested, today, and on going to the control panel, it did show the usb cable(data transfer) marked with a yellow exclamation mark. I assume that the computer is telling me it is no use.
I bought the cable from ebay. So if this cable is of no use I should be looking to buy the Nokia CA-42 ?
Also scooby, I did connect the cable to the laptop first.

E1550 - unable to access USB drive with Ubuntu

I am probably overlooking something real obvious but after screwing around for two hours I figure I need some help.
I am running Ubuntu 14.04. I have set up the E1550 router with an external drive that I formatted with the router utility. At this point I do NOT have an internet connection hooked to the router - I am not sure I want to for now. What I would like to do is to be able to access, wirelessly, a drive that multiple users can use to back up their important files onto.
I have tried using anonymous disk read/write access as well as creating shares. All the features seem to be setting up ok but at this point I have no clue how to access the drive.
I have tried using the Ubuntu files utility and then selecting 'browse network' followed by selecting 'windows network'. Alas, 'windows network' is an empty file with no drive present.
I have tried accessing the router wirelessly and also hard wired - no joy.
Am I maybe not acessing the drive properly through Ubuntu? Do I need to mount the remote drive rather than accessing it through the windows network ?

I am not expert with Ubuntu OS but have you tried to map the drive on your computer? I have no idea how to do that using Ubuntu but if you're using Windows or Mac, you can simply follow the steps from Linksys KB. It usually helps me when I am trying to enable file-sharing capabilities within my network.
