The X3 is a budget music phone so it may lack features when compared to other models.
Updating the firmware will not change this, it's just the way it is.

  • Keynote '09: 2 transition effects per slide initiated by 2 hyperlinks?

I want to do a flip book.  So far it looks great.
I'm using forward and back hyperlinks to transition b/w slides.
Problem: I can only get one style of transition effects/slide, so when I flip back to a previous slide the flip animation looks like I'm flipping forward.
Any help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Ok... After more scouring, I found this thread: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/2355380?start=0&tstart=0
Which had this part buried in it:
Remove the navigation (rip out the hyperlinks), set the presentation to run as a Normal Presentation, then Share>QuickTime>Fixed Timing. That's right, I said Fixed Timing. Turns out me and a lot of other people (and yes, some tier 1 support folk at Apple) misunderstood Fixed Timing. Fixed Timing lets a Normal presentation run with the audio and moves on to the next slide when the audio is finished - which is exactly what I wanted (the QuickTime controls automatically appear after the movie is rendered). Slide Duration is actually the delay between slides so set this to 1 second and Build Duration affects the timing of the Builds, but I also set this to 1 second since it was destined for web delivery (bandwidth!).
I struck thru the first part b/c that wasn't relevant to my issue, BUT... what WAS relevant was removing all of my carefully timed slide delay transitions, then using the above method. It worked flawlessly, as far as I can tell. It seems without documentation or help of any kind (that I could find) no one, even Apple support staff, knows what the true function of Fixed Timing is supposed to be. So hopefully, if someone else stumbles across this post, they'll be able to do the right thing, from the start and not waste hours with expensive or additional programs and work arounds.
Follow the above method and still get your timed HD quality Quicktime .mov.

  • Nokia 3600 slide does not sound when opened or clo...

I have just brought a nokia 3600 slide .. I have selected the plum theme and selected the slide animation on ..but unfortuantely i do not get any slide sound .. i only get the animation when i open and close the phone ..do i have to use another theme .. can i use any sound for the opening and closing of the slide phone .. where do i get slide sounds from or animations .. plz help its driving me round the wall

as pointed out there is some themes avalable that do give a tone but these are specially built themes a had one myself on the 5610/6500 slide i got them from zedge maybe your phone is not equipped for the theme in question
the slide animation is just a picture that comes up when you open and close the slide
    look at the following
Select Menu > Settings > Display and from the available options:● Wallpaper — to add a background image for the standby mode● Active standby — to activate, organise, and personalise the active standby mode● Standby font colour — to select the font colour for the standby mode● Navigation key icons — to display the icons of the scroll key shortcuts in thestandby mode when active standby is off● Notification details — to display details in missed call and message notifications● Transition effects — to activate a smoother and more organic navigationexperience● Slide animation — to display an animation and sound a tone when you open orclose the slide● Screen saver

  • N97 Transition Effect Problem

As you all know that the N97 user interface is not attractive due to the lack of the real transition effects, my 5800 have a nice iphone like transitions, but for the N97 the transition effect is very simple! Only some sliding menus and that’s it!! I wonder where is the screen orientation swivel effect we've seen in early N97 prototype videos? However, once I enable the transition effects on my N97 it will start to become unstable with crashes and it will affect some other programs like the photo gallery (will hang sometimes and gives low res pictures or just the whole program will go to the background while using the zoom button!) and the Web browser will start to display mid and large websites without images!!! I tried to reload the page so many times but only the text appears without any image! After trying so many times at last the page loaded successfully with all images but my happiness didn't last as I discovered that the phone turned off the transition effects automatically! When I went to the themes menu to check, it was turned on but actually it’s not working as the phone disabled it in order to load the web page! It happened to my three times since I updated my firmware last week (V 11)! I think this is because of the lack of enough RAM, I removed all the online widgets from the home screen (like facebook and accuweather) and just used contacts, programs, calendar, email, and music shortcuts which gave me additional 5 MB of free RAM and the phone felt more stable but still can’t handle the transition effects and proper Web pages display simultaneously! My 5800 handles web pages better and display all images even if the transition effects are turned on! I hope Nokia will fix these issues and gives us an option to disable the Widgets and Kinetic scrolling (Make the UI just like the 5800) in order to have more free RAM and enjoy full transition effects and proper Web Browsing with better stability just like the 5800.

Any updates on the effects? I wrote to Nokia support, I'm in Russia, they replied.
I have illustrated my question with the links to youtube where it is clearly visible how the UI rotates and other animation effects when opening the widgets.
My translation of the official reply:
"In  firmware version 11 those effects do work! Try to resent the phone to the factory settings by typing: *#7780#, standard lock code is  - 12345 or try to format the phone memory. Do your data and contacts back up using PC Suite .  enter *#7370# (formats phone memory), enter the code 12345 the phone will resent. Then restore your back up."

  • Cross-fade effect missing from transition effects

I used to export slide-shows from image folders with QuickTime, and on Tiger and PowerMac PPC G4 that worked fine choosing cross-fade transitions.
There was also the possibility to export slide-shows with Graphic Converter (using QuickTime effects), and the cross-fade transition was available.
Now, with Leopard and QuickTime 7.5 the cross-fade (aka dissolve transition) is missing from the transition effects. Is that a bug ? Is there a way to recover that transition effect ? I re-installed QuickTime, but that didn't changed things.
    Thanks for any input...
    N.

I still have my PowerMac G4 with all things installed, so I checked in QuickTime the slide-show export, and it doesn't have options for transitions in the effects. Oups !
So I guess it's only related to Graphic Converter 5.9.5 where in the transitions the cross-fade isn't available anymore when I upgraded to Leopard. Maybe I should upgrade Graphic Converter.
Anyway, thanks for the iPhoto tip, but I can't find where I can change the default settings...

  • Menu transition effects, Animations ?

does transition effects , animations etc come along with a theme ? or is it fp2 dependant alone ?
i mean, i have an fp2 device, 5730XM, but i cannot seem to get all of the transition effects Nseries phones have. Yes they are animated but not completel as it is in, for instance, N79. And yes i've turned on the theme effects.
    Thanks

AFAIK stock nokia themes are locked to the firmware updates each phone recieves. Basically each single phone as a peculiar stock theme which it receives embedded in the firmware updates. For example, the 5800 NE has a special default theme which is different from the default theme of the 5800 XM. Now, it may be possible to make a theme using one of the various theme making software out there with theme animation effects. So basically you need to find such a software which supports those effects you are talking about.

  • N97 V12 Transition Effects

As I haven’t updated to v12 yet (think I will wait until V20), I was wondering if any who have updated have found the transition effects speed improved.
Personally, I deactivated this function a week after gaining my N97:
    Settings>Themes>General>Options>Theme effects: yes/no.
This turned my N97 into a touch screen N95, but I gained better performance and stability. Does V12 offer improved theme effect speed and stability?

Neighter V12,neighter V20 will not comme with something new regarding transitions, maybe just a little speed improovment, but that's all!
For more info regarding V20 you can go here:

  • Disappearing transition effects

In new presentations one of the slide transition effects has disappeared from the drop down menu (Grid). When I copy paste a slide from an older presentation that does have Grid transition, it is back in the menu.
Anyone any ideas how this could have disappeared? I'm not sure exactly when this occurred but I'm pretty sure Grid was still there when I used Keynote v.3 for the first time after upgrading from v.2

Go to your preferences and turn on the obsolete transitions and builds.
We don't know why they are considered obsolete, but it lookks like Apple wanted to have only 25 in the list as a default. This will give you all the old ones.

  • Transition Effects on 5610 XpressMusic

I saw that Nokia 7210 Supernova and 6600 fold have the menu transition effects, and they're 40 series phones like my phone (5610), so is there any update for Nokia 5610 that includes the transition effects?

I liked that new transition effects on the much newer Series 40 6th Edition however, since it's a much newer release unlikely we will never see that added on the N5610 firmware.

  • Keynote 3 - Bullet highlight transition effect

    Hi everyone ..
I'm using Keynote 3 for a very important presentation to be given in a few days. One thing I like to use is the highlight transitioning effect when showing a list of bullets. However it seems to be somewhat arbitrary in when it lets me use that effect. Here's an example. I have a text box that is nothing but bullets .. K3 lets me use the "By highlighted bullet" delivery option on the Character Dissolve transition. So I then duplicate that field, and then try to apply the same transition effect, but instead, K3 only gives me "All at once" or "By paragraph" options .. it doesn't see that I'm still dealing with bullets.
How do I get the program to recognize that I want the bullet delivery options and not the paragraph ones?
    Thanks in advance.
    Craig
    Power Macintosh G5   Mac OS X (10.4.6)

either stick to ONE text box (body) or do it manually by using one slide per bullet change and change the colors manually. Kinda of a pain, but doing it that way makes things easy to keep track of.

  • Can not use TOUCH function on Nokia 6600 slide

Can not use TOUCH function on Nokia 6600 slide-
turned on sensor in phone settings, but when i touch the PHONE it does not work.
Please, tell me how use this function or maybe my phone is out of order

As long as your Sensor Settings are On within Menu, Settings, Phone, Sensor Settings then you just need to do the following -
    Tapping
The tap function allows you to quickly
mute and reject calls and alarm tones, and
to display a clock just by double-tapping
the back or front of the phone when the
    slide is closed.
    Select Menu > Settings > Phone >
Sensor settings to activate the tap
    function and vibration feedback.
    Mute calls or alarms
    Double-tap the phone.
Reject a call or snooze an alarm after
    muting it
    Double-tap the phone again.
    Display the clock
    Double-tap the phone.
(If you have missed calls or received new
messages, you must view them before you
    can see the clock.)
Simply, if you double tap the screen when the slide is closed and you can see the clock appear then it is working.
I hope this makes it clearer for you.

  • Third party Flash transition effects

Can third party transition effects be used in Catalyst?

The effect code would not be accessible to Catalyst. You can use Flash Profession to animate the item with the effect you want, then import that swf into Flash Catalyst. FC does allow you to play and stop a swf.
The imported swf should be published with player 10.1 as the target.
    Hope this helps,

  • How do I create an orange flash transition effect using Adobe Premiere CS6?

I am trying to create an orange flash transition effect using Adobe Premiere CS6 with my MAC computer.

    Try this:
Add Cross Dissolve, cut and nest
Add a Fast Blur to the nest and tweak as in first screendump
Superimpose orange Color Matte and tweak as in second screendump
Make (fixed) effects into presets for future use.
    Good luck.
