NOKIA X6-00 camera problem

i want to know if the persistance of the toolbox containing the flash and other option is normal during taking a picture or not? because of it am not getting full viewfinder where as during taking video it doesnt persist and i get full view finder. so if its not normal then is there a way to get rid of it??

I am having the same problem. As where a friend of mine does not have the smaller viewfinder.
He gets the full viewfinder like when taking video.
At first, when I bought it, I did have the full viewfinder. Isn't there any way I can change this ?
maybe a total reset ?

Hello Ser ji my Nokia Lumia 530 Camera Zoom Not Working Please Help To Work my camra Zoom please

farby is correct, SwtBharat. The Lumia 530 does not support camera zooming. However, you can zoom in the photo to enlarge details after you have taken a photo. Place 2 fingers on the screen, and slide your fingers apart. To zoom back out, slide the fingers together.

  • Nokia C6 video camera problem

I bought a Nokia C6 recently and I'm facing some problem with video clips I took. The image suddenly freeze and the audio keeps running. I have updated the firmware to the latest and also reset my phone by unplugging battery, but Its still the same. And the worst of it, it becoming more frequent day by day. Now its not just freeze in the middle of the video clip, after I click stop recording it keep on shooting 5 to 10 sec with just blank image.
Does any one else facing same problem? Is there any fix for this?
    Can any 1 help me?
    Thanks in advance.

    Hi,
I was able to fix this for my phone.
As I said in my previous post, the problem was in writing to memory card. By default, the File System of my memory card was ‘FAT’. For ‘FAT’ file system, the cluster size is very big 32KB. Probably because the phone is trying to allocate a lot of memory in real time, while recording it freezes.
The solution for me was to back up my information on computer and format the Memory card in ‘FAT 32’ file system. ‘FAT 32’ uses smaller clusters and memory allocation is easier.
I do not know whether this is the right solution, but it is working.

  • Nokia C2-01 camera problems.

The camera does open when ever it is click. Instead , the phone hang and restart itself when it is about 30sec.

    Hi msktywo,
Sorry to hear about the issue but welcome to the forum! Please try the following actions and see if one of them helps.
Please make sure you have enough memory free. Sync to Nokia Suite, and then delete, unncessary applications, SMS, pictures/videos and other data.
If the memory is not full, make a backup with Nokia Suite. Reinstall the phone software. The process is the same as when updating with Nokia Suite, but at the end select "Reinstall".
Type in *#7780# followed by lock code (default is 12345). This is soft reset, no data lost. The settings will be restored to factory state.
If the issue still persists, type in *#7370#. This is hard reset, phone memory will be wiped. Restore back up from Nokia Suite.
Hope you get the device working again!

  • Nokia lumia 820 camera

I need heeeelp. My camera can't take pictures or video anymore. When I click on the camera button it brings a black screen for a second then goes back to the menu. It is like if it is not activated. This phone just gives me headache. It also usually looses network. Please assist.

    Camera problem:
Try a soft reset by holding both Volume Down and Power buttons pressed until phone vibrates and restarts. You will not lose any data or settings except possibly date and time.
If that doesn't help, try resetting the camera from settings > applications > photos+camera > reset camera.
If that doesn't help, try a hard reset from settings > about > reset your phone
If that doesn't help, try a full clean firmware reinstall using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool
If that doesn't help, take your handset to a Nokia Care Point to have it checked/repaired.
    Losing network problem:
Do you have an original or cut-down micro-SIM ? How old is it ? Have you tried a different SIM card from same or from other network ?

  • Nokia 1020 lumia camera issue (and flashlight X)

    Hello!
I do not know this absolutely but I noticed after I downloaded a couple of updates, including an update to Flashlight X, on my nokia 1020 that it suddenly started taking pictures on its own back to back with out stopping. The phone also got warm and the battery would deplete.
This was all a couple of days ago. Since, I have deleted the Flashlight x app and this camera problem seems to have gone away.
So far so good. Again its just a hypothesis.
    Best,
    Jay

hi mate, in this case you will need to contact the developer of the app, as we are a user to user forum only for Nokia products and services.

    @Rafi808
Have you installed any third party applications to account for the sound of the continuous auto focus (CAF) mechanism?
You probably need to visit Nokia Care facility so that device can be reset to "factory settings" and completely re-install device software, before pointing towards hardware issue with camera module itself.

  • Serious camera problems with the Lumia 800

Hello everyone, I just want to share my experience with you.
I've been using an unlocked Lumia 800 for a week now and I actually like the phone, however these camera problems are just unacceptable.
The camera has SERIOUS white balance problems, and, for me the most important, the auto-focus is just ridiculous. It works bad, but focusing on "macro" objects is just a no go, even usin the touch focus or the "macro" focus mode. Another problem is the lens flare, which reflects how bad these optics might be. You really think that the Carl Zeiss branded optics anything here? Think again. My HTC Incredible S, with its "OEM" optics, (or the Iphone 4S or the SII) just humiliates this camera. Also, is that so hard to make a green square focus confirmarion?
How can they release a flagship device, with this price range, with these problems? No wonder why Nokia is where it is standing now, "almost" in a closing-doors status. They really need better engineers and programmers because everytime they let this happen with a device, they're tossing away their valuable customers. And they really deserve it.
And as I've been reading, the Lumia 900 is having the same problems... How sad is this?
    Regards,
    RR
    Moderator's note; removed personal remarks

No, the camera is not that bad, it is actually decent in lowlight conditions @ISO100 (it automatically raises a bit, but it avoids the 800, unlike the auto-mode), with a good balance between noise and detail. However, In my opinion, that's the whole purpose in camera phones - point and shoot. If I could only take good photos if I find the perfect combination of settings for each situation, the versatility of camera phones would be zero. And of course, if I want "perfect" photos, I'll use my DSLR, but that's not an excuse for this camera, which performs worse that my previous E72.
And understand light and ff course this camera can take amazing photos, as those in flickr, but all cameras can do that. Some do need lots of effort and tries, some not. Even my old Sony Ericsson C902, which was **bleep**, could sometimes take some nice pics.
I'm not complaining about the full set of caracteristics, but about the details that ruin the whole.
    - Lack of self-time;
    - Metering is also inaccurate. Lots of clipped highlights;
    - White balance is a mess with flash and indoors (incandescent or fluorescent lights);
    - Lateral lens flare, which is bad and I'll upload an example soon.
    - I believe the whole auto-focus is a bit inaccurate, but I can only really notice it in macro captures. This really incapacitates me of taking detailed document photos, which I usually do.
Overall, I'm really enjoying the phone experience, but the camera fails to impress mainly due to the lack of effort by the Nokia Developers to tweak the camera driver properly, which is pitiful.
Here's an example of a screen capture, at 15cm (any other phones I know can sharp-focus at this distance): notice the off-focus/blurred center, the whole image soft-focus, and those stained areas. Weird!

  • 73 Camera problem

If i try to take a photo in broad daylight, say for example taking a picture of the city street at 1pm on a sunny day, everything will be completely white. I'm not sure if this is normal. fluorescent light is ok, night time is ok, but if I take a photo at daytime then all my photos turn up COMPLETELY white. Nothing but white. Even on cloudy days, it turns up almost completely white. I've tries playing with the camera settings, white balancing etc etc... nothing seems to help very much, they are all minor changes to the picture. anybody else having the same problem?

Re the firmware update: that's actually not Nokia's fault.
Basically, after Nokia have done their stuff with a firmware upgrade they release it to the networks for them to apply their branding etc to it. Once that's been done, then the upgrade is made available to customers via Service Centers and the Nokia Software Updater (NSU - part of PC Suite now).
Unfortunately, some networks are really lax at doing their bit - some actually don't to it at all.
So basically, your problem is with the Taiwanese network .. assuming you didn't get the phone SIM-free (ie: not subsidised by a network).
The only thing you could do is pay the Taiwanese network to unlock your phone, which I believe effectively makes it SIM-free so far as NSU is concerned. That would mean you could upgrade to the SIM-free version of the firmware (which is available, I guess) from the comfort of your own home.
Re the camera problem: I take it you've checked the shooting mode is NOT set to candlelight / night landscscape / night portrait and that you've played with all of the various options like white balance, exposure value, brightness and colour saturation etc?
Could be that one of those is out of whackMessage Edited by patc on 29-Mar-200711:26 AM
nice... someone who knows a bit more about what they're talking about than me...
umm yes i've played with all the settings like any owner of a gadget would when experience problems...
as for the phone... is there a way to find out if it's like... sim free or something?... i got the phone ONLY... meaning it came in it's good ol box... no sim cards or anything... i went to taiwan... picked up the phone... left the country... came to australia and got a vodafone sim card here... and now im stuck with a gay old firmware

  • Nokia 6230i Mp3 Player Problem

Well Fair enough, I put some music onto my mobile from the Pc Suite and plugged in the nokia headphones (That Came With The Mobile)
It only played out the right Speaker(Ear) Why>?? So i looked for awhile for an option that could switch it to sterio or something, No option found for that. Has anyone had this problem before or know how to fix it?
I tested multiple files onto the mobile. All in .mp3 format
    Using a Nokia 6230i
    Since: December, 2006.

It is indeed a bit difficult to know exactly whats the problem since the phone not with me. However only thing I suggest that ensure that you have copied the file that is fully compatible to play on 6230i. IF you still feel you have copied the right file the option left now is to visit a Nokia Care
