I bought Nokia X6-00 8GB 2 years ago. It's locked by Bulgarian operator M-Tel an they didn't unlock my phone after the contract's end. How can I unlock my phone? I want to use my phone with SIM card of other Bulgarian operators.

You have all rights to unlock your phone after the contract ends...Did you contact the service provider after your contract expired if not contact them and request for unlock code...

hi i have this nokia n95 8GB i bought from ebay and its got some lock code on it and i dont know what it is, neither does the seller how do i reset the whole phone without needing to have put the lock code in?

Updating the firmware on an N95-2 will reset the security code to 12345.
However, your original query wasn't that clear. Is it the phone's security code you're asking for or the unlock code that allows you to use SIM cards from networks other than the original one the phone was used on (so-called restriction code)? Only the original network can provide the restriction code.
Also make sure that it is in fact a genuine N95-2 that you have. There are countless fakes on sale on eBay.

Nokia X3-02 unlock pattern on software version 06....

Hi,
I upgrade firmware to 06.xx. Now my unlock pattern is like iOS device. Can I change it to my old original unlock pattern?

The slide to unlock pattern is included in the firmware upgrade. so it cant be reverted unless another future upgrade changes it back as it is not possible to downgrade.

if you haven't changed the security code then the unlock code should be the same....
I don't understand why you are saying that the default code ain't working!!

Nokia 6500 classic - unlocked lock sign

Can someone please help me,I bougnt a Nokia 6500 classic and everytime I make a call, receive a call or get / send a message my my phone shows me an unlocked lock sign when the call is in progress or message is being send?
What is this for? Is it normal or how do I get it to go away, none of my previous nokia's did the same!
Please help me urgently.

I have noticed that this sometimes happens with these series 40 phones. It used to happen occasionally with my 6233 and has also happened with the 6500 Slide. It could be a network related issue, but unless it actually affects the calls or text messages, I would ignore it if I were you. Just worry about whether the phone is working fine otherwise.

Nokia Lumia 920 - Unlocked - Cannot use internet

I've been having trouble with my nokia lumia 920, namely with the internet (or rather, lack of it) ever since it was unlocked.
I purchased my locked Nokia Lumia from a Phones4U store in the UK and it worked just fine with my UK Orange sim card. However, when I had it unlocked (not by Orange. They would not sell me the unlock code because I had not bought the phone from Orange, so I had to go through another route) I noticed the internet was not working. Everything else was fine, apart from that.
At the time I was in Greece and using a Vodafone sim card. I received a text from the carrier saying I had to download an app for the internet to work, so I clicked on the link they had sent, which in turn would not work because the app I needed to download apparently did not exist. (I had to do the same thing with my iphone 4S and it worked just fine)! I assumed it was because Vodafone did not have 4G so I ignored it and resulted to using just WiFi whenever it was available.
When I went France I purchased a sim card from Orange in the hope that it would work but, again, I didn't. By this time I had already gone online and had a look for tips (I had done the Settings>mobile network>highest connection speed>3G, in case 4G was not available) but to no avail.
I really like this phone and would like to make use of it but without internet there's not much I can do. Would anyone have any tips as to how to resolve this problem? Anything will be really appreciated! Thanks in advance.

When you click on settings - Wifi stupid i know but check it is switched on. Under that can you see a list of connection points. Also can you connect to internet via GPRS
If above is yes ( as I am sure it will be ) for Wifi. If no for GPRS have you tried inputting a new apn manually.

Proxy & Port - Please leave blank
Username - eesecure
Password - secure
Server - Please leave blank
MMSC - http://mms/
MMS Proxy - 149.254.201.135
MMS Port - 8080
MCC - 234
MNC - 30
Authentication type - PAP
APN type - Internet & MMS (If no selection available , leave blank )
Also in settings - mobile network ensure data (first item is set to on and in bottom item network selection (mine was set to automatic). click on setting and it will search for networks. select the one you want , I presume Orange.

Forgot Nokia 5310 Key unlock code

i have forgotten the code which unlocks my nokia 5310 keypad
i really need some help because i can't do anything without it.
Also if it helps i of course have all the items that came with it usb, instructions,etc
if i left anything out please ask, because i really need to get it unlocked (preferably at home rather than taking it somewhere)

I'm afraid there's nothing you can do as an end-user. If there was, the security code would be of little use...
Your only options are:
1) remember the security code, or
2) Take the phone to a Nokia Care Point, where they can reset the security code.
Note that the NCP will want to see documents proving that you are the owner of the phone and that is isn't one you "borrowed" or "found" somewhere. An invoice showing the phone's IMEI and your name, and photo ID are what's required usually.

Nokia X6 Slide unlocker

My nokia x6 slide device on the side of my phone as broke off as anyone else as this happed to. My phone is only three months old, i am now waiting on my network to send me a replacement. i am really disapointed

and then install this application,
I am using it very well after installation.
now I never use side unlocker

Nokia N96 Keppad Unlocking

Hi, May i know if there is any way that i can unlock my Keypad without using the slide. i tried to lock the keypad after 30 seconds but when i tried to use the phone without using the keypad (without slide usage), i am unable to operate my device. i should slide the phone upwards to get the device activated. is there a way that i can solve this without slide. Are you pressing the power button and selecting "lock phone" if so that is incorrect.
You do not need to press the power button.
Use the little slide switch on top of your phone to lock and unlock your keypad.

Nokia 6500 key unlock

Hi there,
My Nokia 6500 slide if I lock the keypad ..It should automatically unlock the key pad while opening.
But often it does not. It asks
Press "unlock" and "OK"
but often it just does not unlock so I have to remove battery and start with pass word again.
Is this phone broken? or somebody can help giving tip?

Not only can you not enter a code if your phone's keypad is locked, but also *#7370# doesn't work on Series 40 phones such as the 6500s.
My advice is to take the phone into a Nokia Care Point for them to reset it and, if one is available, install a firmware update. Only a Nokia Care Point can reset a S40 phone.
Since this is a locking problem you'll have to provide proof of ownership.

In fact, I found the best solution, at least for my case. As I want my phone to be locked when it is in my pocket I found an application that fits me perfectly. It is named: PocketLock. Here is the lin to the application:

In fact, I was afraid that I would press some application or to make a unwanted call when my phone is in my pocket without know that but this application avoids that. I hope it is usefull for all of you who have broken Lock/Unlock button

@GEN82012, this is probably the wrong thread for enquiring on updates but...
No you can't download directly from Nokia if the update hasn't been released for your product code.
Updates are by Product Code, type *#0000# on the Call screen. For example mine is 059C7R0.
These codes are country and operator specific.
Be aware there is a difference between a "Vanilla" handset brought directly from Nokia and an "Unlocked" one.
If a carrier "Unlocks" the handset it means you can use it on other networks but the Product Code will remain the original one and can't be changed.
If the phone has been repaired at some stage it may have a non standard board in it as well and I think those can only be updated at Nokia Care.
If you take the phone to Nokia Care with proof that it is legally unlocked they may be willing to load the local "Vanilla" variant for you.
Note; mine has recently updated to 111.040.1511.

Where can I buy the Nokia 5370??

I bought my Nokia 5320 from ebay, very satisfied with it. But I think I wanna move up, and the 5370 looked very nice from the pictures and reviews. My 5320 has survived the most vicious of falls and spills, anyone know if the 5370 is just as robust??
And suppose I decide I want to buy the phone... where can I? It's not showing up in search engines or ebay. I dunno where to look =/
