Nokia X6 dead! :(

Hi All,
My nokia X6 which I have been using since 2009 is dead now. Thanks to some stupid software update I was trying to install on my phone with the PC suite. Because of a small mistake the USB cable got disconnected and hence the phine never started since then. Can someone please help me out? I am really sad about my phone. I even gave it to the nokia care guys but they were also unable to do anything about it. Please help me. Somebody, anybody

Nokia C7 Dead after turn off, never turn on

Help me with this problem. I've bring the phone to shop and they sent to nokia care but after i got home. the problem arise again. Now i've been disconnect about 2 days.

On the same day I took that new cell to home and faced same problem again. The phone is not getting switched ON . I am disconnected from world for last 2-3 weeks as the same issue occurs twice. This is very opposite to Nokia's statement "Connecting people". Any help From Nokia?????

Nokia N8 - Dead Pixel On Screen

Hi all. Last week I noticed that I might have 1 dead pixel on my screen. its a little black dot that stays at about 10-o'clock position on the screen.
I tried to ignore it, but I just cant because everytime I swipe pictures left and right, the black dot stick out, and my eye is staring at the dot instead of my pictures.
I had to sent my N8 back for a new replacement. It's a shame because I am really happy with the phone aside from that stupid dead pixel.
I just hope that my new replacement won't have any new problems or another dead pixels! I am worried that Nokia quality is dwindling...
So guys please check your screen throughly for dead pixel. Let me know of your findings. I really hope that I am the only one affected..

For sure it is sad that you had a black pixel.
But you will not be allone, And that is normal.
Think about numbers: you have thousands of pixels (around 200K for each color), Nokia is selling (hopefully) millions of N8. It is just question of probability that some persons will get dead pixels. Nobody, and this include the best quality checks possible, will be able to ensure 100% error free devices. And if it would be possible, you might not be able to pay it.
There will be always some devices with problems, For them it is important to have a good and quick support and replacement policy. And Nokia, as I know the company, is handling this quite good.

Nokia E52 dead after software update using Nokia S...

I bought my Nokia E52 the day before yesterday. It is an early model (arrived at the store i September). But it worked fine, except for the bluetooth connection.
I tried to update the software using Nokia Software Updater via the USB cable. But it lost connection (I didn't touch the cable nor the phone at the time, and the computer was workning fine). After that I tried it again a couple of time, but it lost connection. It seems the USB-micro connecter on the phone is defective.
Finally its seemed to worked, but after a long period of time it lost connection again and this time the phone was dead. The computer couldn't find it when I connected the USB cable and the screen was dead, nothing happend when I push the powerbutton, except it vibrated once as normal after that nothing happend.
The screen was dead, the numberpad was not lighted. I removed the battery and waited a couple of minutes and tried again. Nothing happend. I tried to reset the phone by using buttons '3', '*', 'anwesring-bottun' and powerbutton. Nothing happend.
Obvious the software update were unsuccesful but is my phone beyond repair? Is the warrenty/guarantee still valid?

Your phone will be repaired in a nokia care point. Usually they fix this problem whenever it occurs during a software update. If that key combination didn't help in your case, then it's definitely a point to go to a care point. I think it is covered by warantee but I'd advise you to call the service point just in case to check with them.

Nokia 301 dead after software update

I just updated my Nokia 301 from its software version 2.something to the latest (8.03 I believe). After the update process the phone is dead. It won't start up, nothing.
Is there anything I can do?

Nokia 301 does not support SW updates via Nokia Suite (like all the more recent phones), so that would be the expected result.

Nokia 6680 dead

Today I used Nokia Software Update to check for new firmware for my 6680.I connected the phone via USB and launched the update procedure which detected a new version for the firmware. After I allowed the update procedure the FW was downloaded from the net and the phone update started. Just a minute after the phone died, the USB connection stopped and now the phone is dead, black screen, off. No way to switch it on. Please give me indication about how to solve the problem.

Nokia E5 Dead while updating

Its not even 24 hours since I bought the Nokia E5 and its DEAD.
I connected the phone to OVI for transferring my previous phone data. When i connected it showed me updates for my phone and I started updating, I followed all the instructions and the phone went blank. I tried all the troubleshooting from the support forums but the phone does not start.
All it does is, give a small vibration when i click the power on key.
I would really appreciate if the Nokia support help me in this regard.

Have you installed a Facebook app of some kind? I suppose you must have. I don't know the programming API for Contacts, but it seems this app wedged itself in there. I would hope that app has a setting to enable or disable this feature, otherwise you're left with choosing Yes (which may be more benign than you think), complaining to the author, or removing the Facebook app. Post the name of the program you're using and hopefully somebody will give you a complete answer.

Nokia 2760 Dead !

Well...almost dead.
Was working pefectly until recently, then the display went blank.
Looked like it needed a re-charge. That didn't work though, and
neither did a new battery.
When I switch it on, the Nokia logo appears, and the display lights
up for a further 1 second or so. It then dies on me.
I tries the firmware reset procedure, but that didn't work.
Any ideas please ?

... It seems a pretty clear cut situation. Your phone most likely needs to be replaced.
Since you tried a new battery and it's still switching off, probably some component in your phone is dead and that would most likely require the services of a Nokia technician if your phone is out of warranty.
Time to buy a new phone, methinks.

Nokia C7 - dead pixel on E-mail widget?

I do not know whether you have noticed that or not, but it seems to me like there is a dead pixel on Nokia E-mail widget ... Is it only my C7 that has this issue? Has anyone else noticed anything similar?

Can you post a screen shot of it. I've noticed something similar to what you've mentioned with Nokia's midnight themes, looks like a theme issue and not dead pixel. I've attached screen shot of that from my E7 see if that is what you're seeing on your phone.

New Nokia C6 dead .... 3 days after purchse

I am from Kolkata in India and on 01.05.2011 I had purchased a Nokia C6 the IMEI no. is from South City Mall's Shopper Stop Nokia mobile counter. The phone started giving problems from day 3 but since I was traveling for 16 days I was unable to get it to the same shop. Today on 18th May when I went they told the phone will be sent to service centre and will be returned to me after 25 days. And that too after very rude behaviour of the salesperson. This is ridiculous.
So, I paid for a phone from the Nokia stable and I am unable to use it for more than a month as Nokia would do research on the handset. I have always purchased Nokia handset and ever since mobile services where launched in India. This is the worst experience did not expect this from Nokia. Very bad after sales service.
The problems with the C6 handsets are : software hanging, touch does not work and keyboard not functioning.

Sorry to hear that, even i am facing the same problem with Nokia Care Center.
Display issue with Nokia C7, i have given it for the second time to Nokia Care.
If this time its not going to get fixed. I will file case with consumer Court.

Nokia 6085 dead battery? Does not charge! HELP!!!

After the battery of a Nokia 6085 mobile phone was fully used, the phone turned off (display off; black). Now, the battery does not seem to recharge when connected to the mains.
How to fix it? Any help most appreciated.

Update for the records (in case it may be helpful to someone):
Today, the same thing happened (the battery was exausted and the phone did not turn on after connecting to the mains via the charger). Probably the battery had been completely exhausted for a week or so.
I did as above, but this time I did not hear any sound when connecting the charger. Pressing the big metallic button did not work.
So, I also pressed the four smaller buttons-keys (located arround the big metallic one), pressing them one after the other in a row (first the top right blue selection key, then the bottom right red end key, then the bottom left green call key, and finally the top left blue selection key). And a few seconds later the phone came to life turning on its screen! Eventually it made a noise and charged OK.
I know, I know all this is because the batery gets completely exhausted, but I usually do not use any mobile phone at all, so this is in a table drawer and sometimes I forget to recharge it. I may receive one or two calls on this phone each month or so and that is the only reason that I keep it.
As said, this is just for the records, in case it may be helpful to someone.

Nokia 6280 Dead During software update

I have a NOKIA 6280 with this firmware: 3.06 RM 78
Wiht Nokia Pc Suite I tried to update it to the last firmware 6.0.... but after the NSU says me to unplug and plug the battery the phone doesn't switch on.
During updating my software, my NOKIA was fully charged and to avoide any battery failiur, it was on charging mode.
PLz help me how can i reflash its software or how can i fix this prb.

Nokia 6288 dead!

Hi,
My Nokia 6288 mobile phone has all of a sudden would freeze, immediately after it has been switched on. This began to happen after it played a song, and everything froze so I simply resetted it and now it remains frozen everytime I restart the phone. What has happened?! Do I need a new phone? I have a lot of precious messages in there =P

The only thing I can think of is to do a hard reset but the problem is that it might delete your contacts which is what seems to be most important to you. I suggest you take it back to a nokia care point or where you bought it for repairs

Nokia N95: Dead Camera? [with pics!]

It appears that some N95 units have a rather annoying "bug".
Simply put, the main camera suddenly, and it seems permanently, stops working.
The secondary camera, however, remains unaffected.
I've taken and included some images to demonstrate the issue.
The problem persists with/without microSD/SIM.
All kinds of resets (*#7370#, *#7780#, 3 + green button + *) were tried.
Re-updating the phone (RM-159_11.0.026) by changing the product code
was also attempted, but the issue remains.
It seems that others accross the internet have also reported a similar problem.
Any (constructive) suggestions?

In regards to your phone not switching on try holding the volume down key and power on at the same time for about 10 seconds or so. Please make sure when doing this the phone is on charge.
