Nokia X6 - Geocache Navigator error

Please help someone - this is driving me mad! I have just installed Geo cache navigator on my X6 at great expense but everytime I try to look for a cache etc, it comes up with 'FAILURE FLUSHING HTTP CONNECTION:- 1. PLEASE VERIFY YOU HAVE A PROPER DATA PLAN.  I have adjusted some of the settings on the connectivity to contract WAP as priority as WLAN was priority but I'm getting more and more confused!  Must be my age.

  • GEOCACHE NAVIGATOR on X6

Don't know if anyone else has had the misfortune to purchase this software from Nokia but take my advice - beware if you do. I downloaded it nearly two weeks ago and Nokia charged me twice for it. I am still waiting a refund for the incorrect charge. Also, X6 is not in the list of supported phones according to the software writers (Trimble) but I checked with Nokia and was told that it would be OK. It isn't - there are a number of features which don't work on this phone. I have had an email conversation with Nokia Careline which has lasted since it was downloaded and they take absolutely no notice of what's in your mail but appear to send back a randomly generated automativ resonse which totally ignores your requests. I always like Nokia phones but this latest episode has finally convinced me that in future I'll be using almost anyone else but Nokia. Anyone know how to escalate poor service as Careline are attrocious and wont respond with escalation details!

Just FYI... If you do a lot of geocaching, you might want to consider going ahead and getting the 60 day free trial.  I just started using it and I love it!  It allows you to quickly find geocaches wherever you are with a push of a button.  Just open up the Geocache Navigator application, click on Quick Cache, and within seconds you have a list of ten geocaches closest to your current location.  You just select one from the list and a compass instantly appears to guide you to the cache.  Scroll over to the Details tab and you can view all the pertinent information right there... cache name and GC#, coords, description, cache size, logs, hints, etc.
And my BB 8310 internal GPS is very accurate... even better than my friend's brand new Garmin!  And, unlike the Garmin, you never need to download anything to your BB... just open up the Geocache Navigator application and you have it!  I think it's well worth the $5.99/month fee.  (Of course, right now I'm getting it free!)  No more printing off all the pages of info for each cache!  It's awesome.... we geocache everywhere we go now that we have all that info at our fingertips!
I know this sounds like a paid commercial, but it isn't.  I just had to tell you about it because I LOVE using it.

  • Nokia 500 Auto Navigator -- Navigation License

I've now searched, everywhere, and send various calls and e-mails to Nokia with NO response, hope somebody can help:
This device is NOT a phone, it is the Nokia 500 Auto Navigator GPS. Please see on the Nokia web site link http://europe.nokia.com/A4577607 .
The devise shows the map, current location, and tracks the route traveled, but does not navigate. As soon as I try to select a route, I shows an error on the GPS screen " NO VALID LICENSE FOUND FOR THIS ROUTE". On the device it shows certain profiles and the one I believe to be the Navigation License called NAVI RSA and NAVY EUROPE are locked. I need to know how to either unlock this, or if I need to purchase a navigation license, how do I do this on this GPS devise manufactured and supplied by NOKIA. Again this device is NOT a phone, so I do not have the options of the menus to purchase extra licenses.
Please assist ASAP, and please do not again refer me back to distibutor Autopage where I purchased the devise, as they can not supply me with any information, and told me several times to contact NOKIA, as they should provide this support.
Hope to hear from someone soon.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

Why won't you try to online purchase the rest of the navigation you need? I mean, it's possible for the general phone navigation, why it won't for navigations too??

    Hi, Kenny.
Thank you for visiting Apple Support Communities.
There are a couple things that I would recommend trying.  Try closing all open applications and power cycle the device.  Next, go through the section labeled Troubleshoot issues on an iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch in the second article below.  If the issue persists, try completely signing out of the iTunes Store on the iOS device and sign back in.  Be sure to test downloading an application after each step.
iOS: Force an app to close

Can't connect to the iTunes Store

  • CUP "Navigation error"

    Hi Experts,
Im writing to see if anyone can give me a hand solving this error.
Im working with CUP (GRC-SAC-SAE 5.3_15.1) and when a I try to create a new account request, I fill in all the fields, assign a role and then perform the RAR analysis I get an everything is ok message (you have no conflicts and can proceed) but when I push the "Next" button I get a Navigation Error Page.
Taking a look at the system logs I found this error that caught my attention "ERROR Requested navigation control not found
com.virsa.ae.commons.utils.framework.ControlNotFoundException: Action not found - loadcreaterequest" so I proceed to check if my ume roles had this "loadcreaterequest"action and they didnt. So I checked the last initiation files at the SAP marketplace to see if I got the last ones, and I did (and besides this action was not  included in those roles).
Nevertheless im copying down the whole log to see if anyone can drop me a light on this.
Thanks very much and apreciate any help.

    Hi Chinmaya,
    Thanks for your answer.
Yes, I do have that option in my "Conifuration" tab. If I click that option I just see a page with another upgrade button.
    Should I push it?

So what should i do ?

    Hi Art808,
    Welcome to Nokia discussions board!
Thank you for your post. Can you try to install(or reinstall) the latest software version using Nokia Suite to clear up any bugs.
Also in order to free memory, you could also remove or move the following:
Messages from Inbox, Drafts and Sent folders in Messaging.
Retrieved e-mail messages from the phone memory.
Saved Web pages. Clear the web browser cache to free some memory (select Options > Clear privacy data > Cache).
Saved images, videos, or sound files.
    Contact information.
    Calendar notes.
    Downloaded application packages.
If there are applications which are not needed any more, uninstall them (select Menu > Settings > Data mgr. > App.mgr. > Installed apps.).
Any other data that you no longer need
If possible, use the memory card instead of phone memory in the Camera application (select Options > Settings > Memory in use to define the memory where the images are stored). You can also use Nokia Suite to transfer images and video clips to your PC.
If you are deleting multiple items and any of the following notes are shown: Not enough memory to perform operation. Delete some data first or Memory low. Delete some data, try deleting items one by one (starting from the smallest item).

  • Cross-domain Navigation Error

    Hi folks,
I was just beginning to test out a site on my domain when I received the following error:
    Cross-domain Navigation Error
Adobe InContext Editing does not support cross-domain navigation.
For more details, please visit the Adobe InContext Editing Help and Support page.
While I could not find any help easily, I thought I would post here with what I have discovered.  I am not entirely sure what "cross-domain navigation" is in the first place, but I had a few hunches.
Initially, I was using a site set up with templates and library items.  Then, for the purposes of troubleshooting, I deleted all files and placed one HTML file in the folder with nothing but some text in it.  I still received the error message.
On a whim, I decided to try InContext Editing in Internet Explorer instead of Firefox, and it worked.  I then downloaded and installed the latest version of Firefox (3.5.1), and the error message still appeared.
    Any ideas?
    Thanks in advance!

Having the same troubles. Worse it goes into an endless loop where you can't get out of the error message cycle.

Not in the manner of Maemo or MeeGo although not sure whether SmartInstaller for applications saves log upon this S60 5th Ed.device as in later devices, which is found in either c:\data\ovismartinstallerlog.txt or c:\ovismartinstallerlog.txt

I fully agree with your assessment. And I don't like to be treated like a monkey.
Nokia is showing such a low respect and care to their customers, especially in the Middle East. They became maybe too big to care for their customers. Apparently they have forgotten that what made them so big is precisely those customers they are ignoring today. It is a pity.
I am looking for a solution for the same problem since 9 month ow: updating middle east maps on my Nokia 500 Auto Navigation. thout any positive result.
What is making this case looking even worst is the promises I got from my Nokia reseller that maps WILL be updated on a regula basis!!! But till today, total blackout from our friends at Nokia.
And the funny thing : while typing this note, a popup appeared on my screen about Customer Feedback on the qualiity of Nokia support. They are really incredible those guys.

  • Nokia 500 auto navigation will not work

I have a nokia 500 auto navigation and it will not show maps or it start to boot and freezup and will not work Help!

I had the same problem a couple of months after activating the gps.
I think my problem came up after I had loaded some songs and video onto the SD card.
I used the DVD to restore the maps etc. Be careful with that. The software to run the video/music is not included on the restore DVD.
I had to do the restore multiple times. Finally, I found an update on the Nokia website and did the update. DON'T DO THAT = my bluetooth has now stopped working. Bluetooth says it's on and you can turn it off, however, there's no change. It says on, but no devices can connect to the gps anymore.
Frustrated with Nokia? YES. I have had it sent back, but since I bought it on ebay, forget about that.

    Refer Pg. 28 (WLAN)
    http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/guides/Nokia_C7-00_UG_en.pdf
The indicator should be in the Top-Right Corner..
..but see that under Connectivity-->WLAN-->Settings-->Show WLAN Availability is set to 'YES'..

  • N95 Geocache Navigator application update problem

I have installed Trimble geocache Navigator SW to the N95 memory card. It is great program and has worked well many weeks. Later i updated it to the new version. All was working correctly few days. Then i noticed that i can't open the program at all. There was only icon but not any other files found or any other track related to that Nav? Of course i though that i have to update it again but reinstallation detected older version and asked to update to new one. Then i agreed that but installation stopped:" cannot install"? I didn't find any other logs or help messages for that.
After that i updated my phone Firmware to the latest OS version. Then Navigator icon was destroyed but the same installation problem was still there?
Then i found temporary solution. I removed memory card and installed Navigator to the phone memory. It worked without problem.
so how i can install the program to the memory card again? Is there some register file which detects the Navigator and which filemanager program i should use for that? Any other ideas?

  • Nokia 6210 Navigator error after software update.

When i updated my Nokia i got the message that the update was completed. But when i start the phone its all dead. When i hold in the power button for a few second the phone starts with a black screen (and a little light from the lcd)but after 30 seconds its shuts down again. Is there anything i can do, "hard restart?", "formatting"?
    PLEASE HELP =/

I experienced the same problem. I had my 6210 two days and simply took it back and they replaced it. The Three-Finger Manoeuvre did not work and neither the suggestion by bama_boyz20. Under Nokia's FAQ they mentioned if still under warranty they will fix it. Is there anyone that maybe know why this problem is happening.
