my x6 keylock button accidentally lost, can i get warranty for this button? Or else where can i buy this button?

Visit a nokia care point. They will be able to replace it and tell you if they will cover it under the warranty or not. Find your nearest care point via the "contact us" link, near the top of the page.

Hi Gareth!
Basically, this is a Windows Installer error. You will need to update your installation of Windows here: http://www.windowsupdate.com. This should cure the problem.
Also, try using the latest PC Suite, version 6.7, from http://www.nokia.com/pcs.

NOKIA 5530 need help...

Hello everyone .. I can somehow fix my Nokia 5530 XpressMusic phone? I am installing software suddenly my phone to power down and when I try to turn on the phone menu button lights up and shuts down! and do not go on .. anyone can help me? which program should I install to be able to do something about it?

Anna on 5530? I don't think Nokia has released Anna for the 5530. If you downloaded the update from the internet then you could contact the developer for support.

Nokia 6300, need help!

My phone isn't recognising my memory card, if I go through my gallery then it will have the things stored on the SIM, but the memory card isn't there.
It first happened when I had taken the memory card out of the phone for about 2 hours (exams) then I put it back in and it was gone. Since then it has been going and coming back and going and coming back etc. etc.
Can anyone help? Thanks.

There were a faulty batch of Nokia 6300's when they were first produced where some of them had this problem.
The problem in this batch, is that there is a chip missing from the PCB (printed circuit board), and if that is missing then the MMC doesn't always read.
If this is the case then there is nothing to do but to take it to a Nokia Care Point.
You can find the nearest NCP to you at the Store Locator
However, this may not be the problem, but i would still suggest taking it to an NCP to get it checked as it does sound sound like a MMC reader rather then anything that a software update or a change of MMC can fix.

- Sometimes The battery GETS soo Hot
- Second if i wanne start my cellphone i get black screen but i can still do evrything : i can enter my pin-code call people all normal things but with black screen i see nothing
So plzzzz help meee

1.) It's a normal thing about slim phones - almost every phone gets hot. But you could really feel the heat in that specific phone especially its really slim.
Have you tried using the "restore factory settings" utility?
2.) Enter *#7780# on the phone while it is in standby.This will reset it to the factory settings and wipe most of the stuff from the phone (contacts, connection settings etc).

[Nokia 6020] Need help retrieving phone contacts

Hi all,
My Nokia 6020's screen is cracked, but the phone powers up properly and I can make/ and receive calls. I no longer wish to use the phone, but want to retrieve the contacts stored in the phone memory.
Option 1) Tried connecting the phone using a brand new, official Nokia CA-42 USB-Serial cable on Windows XP and followed the proper procedure to install the driver (ie, install before plugging in the cable, restart etc), but the PC Suite doesn't detect the phone. Updated to the latest PC suite but it still doesn't detect the phone. Is there any other options I can try out on the PC? Are there any settings that I might have to change on my phone?
Edit: I also tried Mobile Master and Oxygen Phone Manager, but they're not able to detect my phone.
Option 2) Copy all the contacts from phone memory to the sim card. As I cannot see the screen, I have no idea how to do this so would be grateful if someone can guide me through this process.

perform a hard reset... I don't know if this works on nokia s40 phones.i've tried this on nokia 6600( the old fat smartphone)...
make sure your phone is fully charged after doing this...
turn off your phone
remove and reinsert the battery
press call key(the green one), number 3, and * key altogether and pressit wile turning on the phone.
if the phone starts, don't release it yet...
if it shows formatting, release it and wait for a couple...
after that, your phone is fixed and back to the factory settings...

Hey im having trouble with updating my Nokia 5800 to v40.0.005.
The version on my phone at the moment is v21.0.025 and when i try to update it on my phone it says no update available.
I tried downloading Nokia Update Software and getting it from there but the program wouldnt work either.
Is there any other way i can get the v40.0.005 were it should work? or even getting the knetic scrolling and applications without needing to get v40.0.005?

Under your battery, there's a product code on a sticker (X: 0586707). Go here: http://europe.nokia.com/support/download-software/device-software-update/can-i-update and type in your productcode to see if there should be an update for your productcode. If there's not, you could take your phone to a Nokia Carepoint and ask if they could do it - no promises. Or else you have to wait untill your productcode gets it.

Hi everyone i really need help as i bought the nokia N93 of someone on the internet. And it has been nearly 2 months now and the phone is blocked as i been told from nokia. I contacted the person who i bought it of and he is saying i did not blocked the phone and there is nothing i can do about it stop ringing me. A blocked fone {IMEI locked} is a result of the owner reporting the handset lost or stolen to the network.
Or its part of a fraud investigation.
ie: contract taken out , get free fone on bogus details thus the network block it.
If you purchased off an auction site then lodge a dispute straightaway.
Even tho you have paid good money from the handset unfortunatley the handset is the property of the network , thus they will not unblock it for you.
You could report this to the police if you believe the above is actually the case.
If the fone is asking for a security code when you place your sim card into it then try 12345 as this is the universal code if not changed by the original owner.
Remember if the fone is locked to the network then u may only be able to use a sim on that particular network.
If you want it open to other networks you will have to become a customer of that network {buy a prepay sim}, and ring them to get the unlock code, and you will have to pay an unlock admin fee.If you search this site you will find many postings on this subject.

Need Help for connectivity USB Cable Nokia 5800 ca...

I really need help to solve my problems. I just bought nokia 5800 XM last week. I already installed the CD software in my windows XP, but it seems that PC cannot recognize the USB cables. I have plug in an unplugged... At firstime it detects my nokia 5800 XM, but when I open PC suite or OVI, it doesn't connect the USB cables into PC. I already install and uninstall The OVI suite but it is still the same, when I try it in OVI suite to detect my phones, it doesn't react.... I also have download from Nokia website to install manually Nokia USB cable driver for my cable type CA-101... it seems nothing works here... tell me what should I do? I don't think that the USB cable I bought is fake, it has original guarantee..... please desperately need help! Anybody?

When you plug the phone into the computer, ON THE PHONE it should ask you which mode to connect in, and you should select "PC Suite" mode. Does this happen?

That's simple.
All you have to do is:
From MENU goto SETTINGS, When there scroll down and select 'Restore Factory Setting'.
There are two options in there:
"Restore Settings only"
and
"Restore all"
Select "Restore All"
When done the phone will delete every thing on the Phone memory(C:\)(contacts,picture,messages etc)
and also restore phone to its original settings and will restart.
This proceedure is mostly common on S40 phone.
Hope this explain and solve the problem.
