Non Assigned Process chains

Hi ,
yesterday i created some process chains and i activated and scheduled properly.
today they are appearing as with out description , so i am unable to edit and identify that process chains .
what can i do ?
Regards.
Surendar.

Check in not assigned node and you can get it,  double click on your process chain and goto Menu, View-> Detailed View On.And if you want to edit the description, you double click on that on start and change it.
Thanks

  • Document Splitting: Editing constant for non-assigned processes

This query concerns assignment/editing of constants to non-assigned processes which is part of document splitting
We currently have one controlling area and one profit center.
we have assigned one constant named BQE: "imputation sur comptes de banquet" (which probably means bank charges) which defaults for profit center 1000
Now we have a new company code that will use the same (controlling area remains same) constant. So, whenever this constant is called up for the new company code, we want it to default to a different profit center (2000). This substitution should occur at the line item level.
If we use substitution, what would be the logic for this?
Is there any other way to accomplish this requiement?
    Thanks!

You can assign default profit centers for GL account and company code combination in spro node

  • Assign a server group as the background server for a process chain

    Dear Experts,
Can I assign a server group as the background server for a process chain?
Even I assign a server group as the background server for a process chain by following T-cd: RSPC > W click a process chain > (Menu) Process Chain > Attributes > Background server and save & activate the process chain, no entry was saved in the column in RSPCCHAINATTR-SERVER with OBJVERS = "A".
Moreover, it seems that there is no process type for a process chain as a whole in T-cd: RSBATCH, so I assume that I may not be able to assign a server group to a process chain as a whole...
I know I can assign a server group as the background server for each process in a process chain.
    Many thanks for your suggestions.
    Best Regards,
    Norifumi

On many UNIX systems there's a utility called detach which will launch the following command in such a manner that killing the shell will not kill the process. On systems that lack this command, I'd find an open source implementation and install it.

  • SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC during saving of Process Chain

    Dear all,
On saving, when adding a process to an existing Process Chain - like Rollup or Change Run - in our SCM 5.0 system, we receive a short dump 'SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC' (complete short dump at the end of the msg).
A problem arose on the line 'insert rsbatchparallel from table g_t_batch_par.' of include 'LRSBATCHF01'.
The version of this include is the same as all other systems in our environment.
In the table 'rsbatchparallel' we don't find any entry that can cause a duplicate entry.
We are really stuck with this issue - any help is highly appreciated!
    Best regards,
    Ingrid

    Runtime Errors         SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC
    Exception              CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB
    Date and Time          08.10.2007 16:56:50
    Short text
The ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert results in duplicate database records.
    What happened?
Error in the ABAP Application Program
The current ABAP program "SAPLRSBATCH" had to be terminated because it has
come across a statement that unfortunately cannot be executed.
    What can you do?
Note down which actions and inputs caused the error.
To process the problem further, contact you SAP system
    administrator.
Using Transaction ST22 for ABAP Dump Analysis, you can look
at and manage termination messages, and you can also
keep them for a long time.
    Error analysis
An exception occurred that is explained in detail below.
The exception, which is assigned to class 'CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB', was not caught
    in
procedure "SAVE_SETTINGS" "(FORM)", nor was it propagated by a RAISING clause.
Since the caller of the procedure could not have anticipated that the
exception would occur, the current program is terminated.
The reason for the exception is:
If you use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert to insert a record in
the database and that record already exists with the same key,
    this results in a termination.
(With an ABAP/4 Open SQL single record insert in the same error
situation, processing does not terminate, but SY-SUBRC is set to 4.)
    How to correct the error
Use an ABAP/4 Open SQL array insert only if you are sure that none of
the records passed already exists in the database.
If the error occures in a non-modified SAP program, you may be able to
find an interim solution in an SAP Note.
If you have access to SAP Notes, carry out a search with the following
    keywords:
    "SAPSQL_ARRAY_INSERT_DUPREC" "CX_SY_OPEN_SQL_DB"
    "SAPLRSBATCH" or "LRSBATCHF01"
    "SAVE_SETTINGS"
If you cannot solve the problem yourself and want to send an error
notification to SAP, include the following information:
    1. The description of the current problem (short dump)
To save the description, choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    2. Corresponding system log
Display the system log by calling transaction SM21.
Restrict the time interval to 10 minutes before and five minutes
after the short dump. Then choose "System->List->Save->Local File
    (Unconverted)".
    3. If the problem occurs in a problem of your own or a modified SAP
program: The source code of the program
    In the editor, choose "Utilities->More
    Utilities->Upload/Download->Download".
    4. Details about the conditions under which the error occurred or which
actions and input led to the error.
The exception must either be prevented, caught within proedure
"SAVE_SETTINGS" "(FORM)", or its possible occurrence must be declared in the
    RAISING clause of the procedure.
To prevent the exception, note the following:

In the source code you have the termination point in line 1082

  • Process chains issue:very urgent

    Hi All,
This issue is related to process chains.Last weekend our Basis team changed the BW PRD from BWBPRD to BWBPRD1.The process chains were schedlued previously on BWBPRD, so after the server change none of the process chains were triggered.
We have rescheduled our process chains in the new server yesterday, but no success.
We could not find any log in the SM37 also.
Kindly suggest how to overcome this issue
    Thanks,
    Manjula

    Hi,
Check do you have connection with this new system( BWBPRD1) to your source system (R/3), and check the changed server is reflecting in SM66 or SM50. try to execute the job immediate and check chain is running or not. at the time of execution you can assign the new server to run this particular chain.
as for as your problem concerned i think your application is not active.

  • Process chain--how to schedule the variant even if there is no repeat opt.

    Hello Gurus,
Can anybody help me out like the issue was...
when monitoring the process-chain,the variant-load infopackage was successfully completed the status was green, and next to that there was a update from the PSA variant and then to that there is a ATTR.chane run variant, process chain strucked at these two variants.when i look into that there was no repeat option on both the variants.        so how could i schedule that from at that point.
Thanks in advance for the solution!
    Regards,
    Dilip

    Hi Dilip,
You have to do the remaining process steps manually.
If the the failed process step is loading proces step, then make the QM status of that upload to Red and then refresh the process chain.. Some times you will get the repeate option with that.
Or else end the process as described below:
When ever the load fails in a process chain we need to check whether its a load error or a non-load error. For load we need to rectifie the error manually nd need to run the program which is given SAP SE38.
RSPC_PROCESS_FINISH for this we need to pass some parameters.
like process chain name. variant, instance and the status. Here status we will give as 'G'. so that chain can identify that the previous process has been successful nd run the remaining processes automatically.

  • Process chain email alert issue

    Hi,
I'm working with BASIS to get the email alert for Process chains working.
We've done the following so far:
    1. Created a mail exchange group "SAP BW" with all required email addresses
    2. In the Process chain, created a message variant and assigned the above private distribution list
    3. BASIS configured SMTP in SCOT to reference the correct port and mail path
    4. In SU01, Security added email addresses which were missing earlier for everyone in the distribution list
    5. BASIS scheduled a job to run every 5 minutes to collect and send emails
I just ran a test process chain and failed a few loads. However, none of us are getting emails in our inbox. What step are we missing? Is there anything else we should be looking at?
    Thanks,
    Pooja.

    few more things to check
    1. Is the mail sent from SO01 working correctly?
    2. Are the mails sent getting accumulated and seen in SCOT transaction queue?
    3. Did you try using Individual addresses instead of distribution list?
These might help in boiling down to the actual problem though may not solve it. good luck!

    Sree

  • Urgent : Download file from Application Server via Process Chain.

    Hi Experts,
My requirement is to download the file from Application Server to local work station using an ABAP Program .
I want including the above ABAP program in a process chain to execute  the program daily,
I tried to use ARCHIVFILE_SERVER_TO_CLIENT and GUI_DOWNLOAD but unfortunately both the above FM doesn't support to run through Process chain.
Can any one of you help me to send the code which selects a file from application server, downloads to local system and deletes it.
Thank you very much for spending your precious time in this regard.

    Hi Sailekha,
    Regarding your case ..
I suggest you to create the program where it run this function: WS_DOWNLOAD.
After it, the program is run by your process chain.
Hopefully it can help you a lot.
    Regards,
    Niel.

  • Long running process chains - No Dump / error message.

    Hello,
We have defined some steps in process chain that contains default macros. We mainly included that to ensure calculations happens even when users dont open or access the DP Planning book.
Issue is, these steps are running endless. normally it takes some 400 n odd seconds. But its running for the last 60000 secs.
No. of Planning objects or CVC is 2027 only. I had to cancel them and tried to re run this step or the whole chain no luck....
I have checked active jobs in SM37, there is none. So ideally there is no load on the system. Also no change to Macro or CVC's has been done. there was only one Transport that was moved and it was on the product master.
Also I have done the time series, Live cache, PA  Consistency checks. only in Live Cache there was some Superflous time series and it was corrected.
I am not getting a clue of why its happening nor where to start the analsysis.
Any help or suggestion is greatly appreciated.
Currently I have made the subsequent events as independent,&  the chain is running execpting this step.
    Many Thanks
    Aswath Ram.

    Thanks for the reply,
These are custom macros. It adds two KF and copies to another.
The no. of periods is 24 time periods and roughly no. of CVC is 2100.
Another thing, this process chain has been running for last 5 to 6 months with no issues. Since sunday, its messing up....
I am doubting if its taking time read data from table or live cache. or is it because of some indexing. Not sure how to check that.
have asked Basis to check the system performance, if it might cause this issue.
    Many Thanks
    Aswath

  • Process Chain and Info Package Transportation?

    Hello All
    Case 1
How to transport a Process chain and a Info Package Individually?(<b>first time from DEV to QA</b>)
    Case 2
I have 9(<b>IP1 to IP9</b>)infopackages and 3(<b>P1 to P3</b>) Process chains and in each Process chain I have 3 Info packages like IP1,IP2,IP3 in P1 and so on.,
Now is it necessary to transport Infopackages and Process chains individually or is it enough to transport Process chains only(If v transport Process chains will the Infopackages will also transport)then how to assign a request to each one?
What I mean is,all <b>Infopackages are in $TMP(Package</b>),and Process chain is also <b>$TMP</b>,Now is it necessary to change the package for Infopackages as well as Process chain and Tranport only PC,Iam confused here, can anyone help me out?
    Many thanks
    balaji

    Hi Balaji,
If you have created new infopackages then you have to transport them. It is not necssary to transport the info-packages if you have them in the process chain but have not changed them.
Also you cannot transport any BW object with $ tmp package. Assign a package and then transport the objects.
The best way to transport the process chain is from the RSPC screen. Click the transport button there and collect all the objects and transport them.
    Bye
    Dinesh

  • Delta loading and Process chain BI

    Hi experts,
    Two Issues.
1)As i am loading FI data into dso through a process chain which includes Start process>Delta infopackage(which gets data upto psa)>Delta dtp-->Datastore activation.
But infopackage is picking up deltas but DTP is picking up all the previous records plus deltas.
100 records  -- 1st day throught Intialization of Delta with Data Transfer
    2 delta records  --   2nd day
But DTP is picking up 102 Records on the 2nd Day, which means it is also  picking the old records as well.
The DSO must have just 102 records but it is having 202 records.
    2) A process chain in running daily as scheduled , but I rescheduled with new scheduling options without deactivating the Process chain.
    My Question is
Will the Process chain run for the OLD and the New Schedule or
Is it going to run for new schedule or old one?
    or
will I face any Problem because I did not deactivate and made changes to the Change.
Please help me in this matter.
    Thanks in advance.
    Bhadri.

    First query:
I believe that u have used FUll update type DTP is instead of the Delta DTP.. Please cross check the Update mode of the DTP once.
To resolve this issue, delete the total content of the DSO as u have Init and delta loads in PSA. And then using the Delta DTP of the Process chain, load the data. It will extract the total cotent what ever is there in PSA, and later the same DTP will act as the Delta type  and will pick the data from the New request of the PSA.
    Second Query:
Its always suggested to deschedule the process chain before changing the schedule timings. When ever u do this type of scheduling, just check how many number of JObs available in Schedule mode, if u can see more than one, then delete the older one and keep the new one as it is.
But I always suggest you to deschedule the process chain and reschedule  PC with the new timings and then activate the same.
    Thanks

  • Process Chain excessive run time

    Hi all
Would like to know if any of you have experienced what we are experiencing.
We have a process chain that runs every night.  It is running the same master data which usually only takes seconds.
However, on occassions, the same amount of data is taking over 18 hours to load.
When we look on monitor in the detail tab, it shows that it has only taken seconds but the header tab is showing 18 hours.  This then delays any other subsequent process chains from being kicked off.
We are investigating as to why this is happening but any comments would be appreciated.
    thanks in advance
    Sandra

    Hi Sandra,
I can suggest you few things which may help u...
    1) Increase the parallel processing during extraction
    2) Selective loading.
    3) Every job will be having a priority (A, B, C – A being the highest and C being the lowest), choose this based on your scenario.
    4) Check with basis for the sizing of your server.
    5) You can increase the number of background processes during data loads. This can be done by making dialog processes as Background processes.
For this you need basis inputs. (This is done in some profile settings by making the system behave differently during loads. (something like day mode/night mode))
    6) There are some maintenance jobs that should run regularly in any SAP box to ensure proper functioning.
    7) Use of start routines is preferred instead of update routines.
Assign points if these help u...

    KK.
