Non-Cash Gross-up at the supplemental 35%

SAP provides Gross-up at the supplemental 25% up to $1M+ Bonus Income /115, then at 35% for $1M+ (/15 Bonus Wages YTD). Can anyone offer their solution for providing a 35% tax rate base gross-up regardless of /115 value for Non-Cash benefits?
The scenario is highly compensated executives receiving non-cash benefits 'grossed-up' early in the year, so the 25% rate applies. However, we would like to have the 35% apply before they hit the $1M threshold.

That could work for Cash Gross-up, but it does not seem to care for Non-Cash gross-up processing. Also, as colleague Simon Repton informed me it would additionally require ->
"a custom Tax Rule in BSI and use Infotype 0234 to establish the override. That way you can decide what payments are taxed at what rates."
It looks like it would also require a bit more BSI customizing for "Employee Groups' and "Group Overrides". Our 3 concerns with this method involve user processing/understanding of the results, retro scenarios problems that could arise, and loss of BSI ownership of results.

I encountered an error in the Payment Wizard screen as I was creating an Outgoing Payment for petty cash expenses. On the “Recommendation Report” screen, I clicked “Non-Included Trans.” and saw that one of the vendors (Vendor Code: WILCO) has the following error:
“The document amount is greater than the max. amount allowed in the payment methods linked to the BP”
Upon checking, the “PCF-W” Payment Method linked to WILCO does not have any restrictions, nor does WILCO have any credit/commitment limit set. I have also appropriately defined the Dummy Business Partner Bank (under Payment Terms) as well as checked the “Included” box for PCF-W on the Payment Run-Payment Methods screen.
Could anyone please help me on this?

PS - have found other posts indicating that clips smaller than 2s or sometimes 5s, or "short files" can cause this. Modern style editing often uses short takes ! Good grief I cannot believe Apple. Well I deleted a half a dozen short sections and can export, but now of course the video is a ruined piiece of junk and I need to re-do the whole thing, the sound etc. which is basically taking as much time as the original. And each time I re-do it I risk again this lovely error -50 and again trying to figure out what thing bugs it via trial and error instead of a REASONABLE ERROR MESSAGE POINTING TO THE CLIP IT CAN'T PROCESS. What a mess. I HATE this iMovie application - full of BUGS BUGS BUGS which Apple will not fix obviously, since I had this product for a few years and see just hundreds of hits on Google about this error with disappointed users. Such junk I cannot believe I paid money for it and Apple does not support it with fixes !!!

Payment in Inventory (non cash payment)

The organization I am working for is looking for solution ideas around acceptance of product/inventory as payment.
The scenario is as follows;
The company creates an A/R invoice to an OEM supplier for free goods provided to customers on the OEM's behalf per a marketing program.
Rather than paying the invoice, the OEM provides free product back to the company.
The company;
- Wants to track the inbound inventory for planning purposes (Free Goods PO?)
- Does not want the receipt of the Free Goods to augment Moving Average Price
- Wants to value the goods received in inventory at the current Moving Average Price
- Wants to reclass the value received as a Non-Cash Payment to the A/R invoice
Does anyone have experience or suggestion with a like process?

See in OBQ3..you define Pricing procedure.against pricing Procudure you will give the account Key against the condition type in the Pricing Procedure.
For this Account Key ..you Define it as Detuctable or not in OBCN.
so it determines whether to add to raw material account or not..
but see in early post which is also valid even if you have define the sdame in OBCN.

My service provider's SMTP does not require a password but the option "non" does not appear on the IPOD Touch 5th gen. Fix?

I have relay.skynet.be as my outgoing server and it does not require/allow password protection. When configuring mail on the Ipod the option of "non" is not given for the outgoing server. Is this a skynet issue or is there an Ipod solution?

Don't be afraid to bump this topic. There's also an App Store forum where you might repost this question, but give some of these details in your post. I'd rephrase the topic to something like "Can't use App Store to upgrade." (Instead of can't "open".) Then give the details.

Cannot rename file with non-ASCII characters when using the

My application moves files from one directory to another by calling File[] srcFiles = srcDir.listFiles() to get a list of files in the source directory, and then calling srcFiles.renameTo(destFile) to rename each file.
This does not work (renameTo returns false and the file is not moved) under the following circumstances:
- the file's leaf name contains non-ASCII characters, for example "�"
- the OS is Solaris 9
- the LANG and LC_* environment variables are unset, i.e. the C locale is being used
If I set the LANG environment variable to, for example, en_GB.UTF-8 then the rename succeeds.
I have tried calling srcFiles[index].getName().getBytes("UTF-8") and the non-ASCII characters are being replaced with ? (0x3f) characters when LANG is unset.
Is this a bug in the JRE? I would argue that since my code does not actually manipulate the filename (I just use the File object that File.listFiles() gives me) then the rename should succeed. Of course I would not expect the file name to be displayed correctly if I printed it out.
I have reproduced this behaviour with JDK 1.4.2_05 and 1.5.0_04 on Solaris 9.

I considered setting the locale in the environment (this sounds like the "correct" fix to me and we might implement it later), but this application shares a WebLogic server with many other applications so we would have to do a huge amount of testing to make sure that the locale change wouldn't break the other apps. In the end I worked around the problem by making the code that generates the filenames in the first place strip out any non-ASCII characters (the names of the files are not critically important).
Looking forward to JSR-203, in the meantime perhaps a note about this behaviour in the java.io.File javadoc would be useful.

What do you mean by 'protecting' your non-key field value?
1) You want to display it, but make it non-changeable
A - Make the field as output-only in screen, as already answered by a preivous collegue
2) You do not want to display this field at all
A - Goto the DDIC definition of the view (not possible for a table directly), and maintain the required field as a Hidden. After activating, remember to re-generate the maintenance dialogue. Also, please maintain Event 21, in case you want to access/change the value of this field in background.
3) You want to maintain special validations/checks for the field
This can be easily done by introducing your modules within the CHAIN-FIELD commands in the PAI of the generated screens.

You need to check if you really the report Plant wise and if yes, then check if the Accounting Transactions are maintained at Plant Level in your source system i.e. in R3.
Ideally it should be Business area or Functional Area or Controlling area which are maintained in Accounting Transactions. You will also the relevant details for these Characterisitics + Profit Center in the NEW GL Accounting data sources.

I'm happy you figured it out and just try to keep in mind that not everyone you talk to at support will give the same advice or have the same knowledge. Just like those who contribute to these forums. Sometimes Google is your best friend.
I agree that Apple could probably make it easier, but as of yet prefer security over freedom. (sound famaliar?)
