Non-Catalog Items

Hi Experts!
For my B2B scenario (ERP backend) I need to be able to add non-catalog items to the basket and to order them.
I read about the XCM configuration for adding items which do not belong to the web catalog by using the component "enable.nonCatalogProducts". But it doesn't work, cause I always receive an error message in my basket after I have added a non-catalog product. Any advices?
Regards!
Mirko

Hi Mirko,
the error message states exactly what the problem is: The material you are trying to order is not available in the sales area you are currently using and which is configured in the Shopadmin application. You will have to either add this sales area to the material or you will have to change the shop setup so that you work in the correct sales area.

  • Vendor part number for non catalog item in shopping cart?

I have a requirement to get the vendor part number field in shopping cart basic data for non catalog item. This field is available for catalog items, would it be possible to make the same field available for non catalog items as well?

    Hi Gummadi,
You can create custom fields in Shopping cart uisng a BADI and can populate the information.
BBP_CUF_BADI can be used to create customer fields.
Please get discuss with your ABAP fellow for the creation of customer field.
    Award points for helpful answers.

  • Supplier Note gets copied from Catalog Item to Non-Catalog Item

    Hi All,
The basic issue is that when we create a mixed shopping cart, cart with Catalog and Non-Catalog Items (Made using Describe Requirement link), the Supplier Note (in the Documents and Attachments part ) from the Catalog Item gets copied to the Non-Catalog Item directly when we create the Non-Catalog Item.
We face the issue only when the first Item is a Catalog Item. ...
There are no custom developments for the Supplier Note and we do not modify it directly in any other way. Any Ideas .. ?
    Thanks and Best Regards,
    Sagar Ogale

    Hi Bharath,
The issue is that for the Non-catalog ( Item created using Describe Requirement ) in SRM 5.0, the supplier note field is getting populated by default. This is the issue.
The Supplier's Note should remain blank. But, its not... This is the issue. Do you have any ideas what may be causing the issue..?

  • PO Partial confirmation Quantity not updated for non-catalog items in SRM

    Hi Experts,
Partial Confirmation plus Partial Rejection from Ariba(Suppliers network) could not be processed.
    Steps to Reproduce:
    1) Create a purchase order.
    2) Confirm some part of the quauntity and reject the balance part in Ariba.
    3) Open the link in SRM and click Copy push button.
    4) Click on Process PO and check PO, the PO is not updated with the changes done in Ariba
    Expected Result:
PO should update the changes done in Ariba.
Here when part quantity is confirmed and part is rejected at Ariba, its sending a POR but SRM is not updating anything for non-catalog items when POR is copied onto PO.But where as  in the Catalog items partially confirmed POR is copied onto PO.
kindly give your valuable inputs to poceed furthur.
    Regards,
    Chandu

    Hi,
I'm not clear you issue. Is it SC -> PR(backend) -> PO(backend) classic scenario ? or You just created a PO in backend system?
BBP_GET_STATUS_2 will update SC follow-on doc information from backend.

  • Allow changes to SC fields for catalog items

We're on SRM 5.0 (SRMServer 5.5). In contrast to free-text (non-catalog) items, EBP makes certain fields display-only when adding catalog items to shopping cart. We need to make the following fields available for user's input when the user adds a zero-priced item from the catalog:
    - price
    - currency
    - UoM
One solution I can think of is to make EBP treat zero-priced catalog items as free-text items. To achieve that, will it be enough to implement a BAdI (e.g. BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER) to blank out CATALOGID and CATALOGITEM fields?
Failing that, can we use BBP_SC_UI_CTRL method of BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI to make price/currency/UoM available for input?
I know there're SAP Notes to make Price and UoM changeable for catalog items (693175,748855), but they all entail modifications which I'd like to stay away from as much as possible.
    Thanks and Cheers,
    Serguei

Thank you for your quick response, Yann.
So, you confirm that the CATALOGID field is available to the BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER BAdI, and that clearing it will open the fields? Also, can I assume that CATALOGID is the only criteria in price determination for my scenario - so that, when CATALOGID is blank, EBP will treat the item price as "manual price", not "catalog price"?
You've brought up a good point about reporting on this field. I'll keep it in mind.
What about the second approach: can BBP_UI_CONTROL_BADI (or some other BAdI) be used to modify SC field status for the mentioned fields?
The two OSS Notes are not part of standard, they are not included in any Support Pack, so they're mods, and will be our last option to consider.
    Cheers,

  • Catalog and Non catalog?

    Hi,
what is the difference between catalog and non catalog ?
    Thanks,

    Hi Rehan,
In simple words, catalog refers to list of items available for purchase, with the description and price of each item. Usually, a bind-in order form is included with the catalog. Catalog is basically maintained by a company for classified items and it helps its user to shop items based on the catalog. e.g. say in a Color Industry you can classify different shades of colors in a catalog. Another example is Menu card of a restaurant/hotel.
Non-catalog item is basically refers to items which are not defined under any catalog .e.g. say you are buying an air ticket or car rentals for official use...
    Hope this will help.

  • Defaulting Suggested Buyer on Non-Catalog request

I'd like to know how I can default the suggested buyer (line delivery details) for non-catalog items. These items are not associated with a requisition template, are not in inventory, and we do not want to key off of categories. We would like the default buyer to always default to the same one user.
I attempted to personalize the page by adding the default user name into the initial value of "Message Lov Input: Suggested Buyer", but that does not seem to be working. I was hoping that would override al logic in the system and force her name.
    Any suggestions?
    Thanks,

  • IProcurement - "mass upload" for non-catalog request

I want to find a way to do a "mass upload" when creating a non-catalog request.
Some back ground; I am not A DBA or a software developer; I am an engineering manager. I work for a large company and have responsibilities for creating Purchase Requisitions. I work from vendor quotes that contain many lines items, and always do non-catalog request because I often get special pricing or simply have non-catalog items. There are several fields on the requisition web page that need to be populated and it's quite cumbersome and time consuming to copy and paste 6 different data fields for 50+ line items. Since these are fields on a web page that correlate to some back end database there must be a way to populate them more quickly and easily, with an upload template, or via an API.
It is very, very difficult to find the proper internal resources to help me address this problem, and when I do find the right people I'm pretty sure I'll be told "it can't be done" I don't believe it can't be done. It may be difficult, it may require some work, it may require some development efforts, but from a purely technical point of view, populating multiple data fields with minimal user input is certainly doable. I want to be armed with solutions when I finally find the right people at my company. So, anybody out there figure this one out already? Once I do I'll be glad to share but hoping it's a know and fixed issue.
    Thanks!!

You are looking for the requisitions Open Interface.
Get this PDF from the documentation for release 11* and read chapter 6, it will guide you through the import process.
*For some reason this document is not available for newer releases (11i, 12), so you would rely on Metalink to look for notes.

  • There is no item number field available in non catalog request screen

    Hi,
I need help in understanding how the Contract purchase agreement works with i-procurement.
    1. created contract purchase agreement
    2. Setup the item
    3. Setup the price list for the item
    4. Setup the ASL for the item and referenced the CPA number in source document region.
    5. Created Sourcing rule for the item.
I have no issues in defaulting sourcing information (supplier name, site name, source document number) when creating a requisition in core apps forms but how to setup the same feature in i-procurement? I selected non catalog request type but I don't see item number field available.
    Please advise.
    Thanks,
    Ram

    Hi,
First we need to know which version you are in - 11i or R12.
Also, non-catalog request is not used for the requisitions with Inventory Item.
Just search for the Item number or description in the iProcurement and see whether the search result shows your item.
Internal Item number field will show the Oracle Item number.
    Thanks,
    PS.

  • Change price of Catalog item in S.Cart

We want to change the price of a Catalog item in the SRM shopping cart ....am on SRM5, SP06 ECS...
    Is this possible?
I know MDM catalog items come into SRM as non editable /grayed out with a Price already chosen....but we want to change it and add a surcharge.....
am not interested in Price Conditions coz they are at the PO level. I need my edited price and surcharge and total at shopping cart level so i can send shopping cart to the correct approver........
    Currently investigating following options ..u2026u2026..
    1. Perhaps maintain field price_changeable in BADi-Interface IF_EX_BBP_CATALOG_TRANSFER in method ENRICH_ITEM_DATA. To edit the price!!
    2. Reverse engineer Note 1449196 - Item Price revalidation during Shopping cart order process
    3. Note 613686 - Price changeable after catalog data transfer....thanks muthu
    Any ideas people!!
    cheers
    alex

    Hi Alex
l do remember Jason offered some custom note todo the same.
*Note 693175 - Making free items changeable*If you transfer items with a price of 0.00 from the catalog to the shopping cart, the price is not ready for input in the shopping cart.
    Other terms
Pricing, e-procurement, zero price, shopping cart
    Reason and Prerequisites
This is the standard system response as of EBP 3.5 Support Package 05 or Note 569275.
    Solution
If you want to change the price after you transfer the item to the shopping cart, implement the attached correction instructions.
This consulting note was created for specific Support Package levels. The context parts may have changed. If you cannot use transaction SNOTE to implement this note automatically, you must find the context parts manually and use the Modification Assistant to adjust the source code manually. This is because separate correction instructions do not exist for each Support Package level.
Need to change price for catalog items...
Note 1386176 - Duplicate/Copy catalog item: Price editable
The item price transferd from catalog can not be changed in SC
    you need google well.
let me try if i have luck

  • IProcurement Non Catalog Request Type Field

    Greetings to All,
Currently, having an issue in iProcurement. Under Shop-Non Catalog Request, there is an option to have "Request Type" field to be available.
This field and LOV is not showing up.
Per iProcurement Implementation Guide Release 11i Part No. A85361-05 December 2004
    Specifically:
    Section 4-52
    Page 158
This is section describing "Setting Up Non-Catalog Request Templates"
There is a 'Request Type' dropdown at the top of the page, just above 'Item Type'
Request Type is not coming about.
Is there a smart form setup / preference or a Profile Option value that controls this feature.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

    You are right Mr. CK..
If you check stores --> Smart Form --> Personalize "Default Item Information", you will find ${oa.NonCatalogRequestVO.IsTemplateBased} inside the personlization form.. It indicates "Request Type" is dependant on a template i.e. non-catalog request template.
Thanks for your answer.. Indeed it is helpful.

    Thanks for the replies.
The information that you posted directed at John is not going to help much although it does tell us that your video file has a .mov files extension.
But, that might be a significant piece of information depending on your answer to the question "Do you have the latest version of QuickTime installed on your computer along with Premiere Elements 11?" Also, are you running the programs as administrator?
The QuickTime answer is important so please double check your computer to assure
    a. When you go to Publish+Share/Computer/QuickTime, you find QuickTime presets.
    b. When you go to Control Panel/Programs and the installed programs, you find QuickTime listed there as installed.
If QuickTime (latest version) is not the solution, then we are going to need more information about the video properties.
    Video Compression
    Audio Compression
    Frame Size
    Frame Rate
    Interlaced or Progressive
    Pixel Aspect Ratio
besides the .mov file extension which we already have.
Depending on how things go, consider downloading and installing the free codec utility named GSpot
    GSpot Codec Information Appliance
and then letting us know the video readout for
    a. Video Name Codec Status
    and
    b. Audio Name Status
Please review and consider and supply more information. Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
    Thank you.

  • Autocreation of Non-Catalog Req to PO

    Hi ,
In the document types screen on our apps the auto create workflow is set and in case of catalog requisitions on creation of the requisition it is autocreated to create a release .But when trying to create a non-catalog request we have to manually go to the auto create form on core apps and then convert to a standard purchase order.Even though I filled in all the information like the buyers, supplier information etc which are required .Could you please suggest the approach to achieve the automatic auto creation of the non catalog req to std purchase order ?.
Note we donot have any contracts in our instance.
    Regards,
    Mouli

From iProcurement for converting Non Catalog request to PO, check the following
    - Global BPA exists for the selected Item Category in approved status.
    - Proper Autocreate workflow has been selected, Check internal attribute valuesfor Autocreate_Doc & Auto_Approve_Doc set to Yes Status
    - Proper Approval Hierarchy has been setup (Posn or Emp/Sup)
    - Sufficient Approval Authority exists for the approval groups for both Requisition and PO.
    - Expense Accounts has been setup for the Item Categories
I think that should be about it.
Check the following and revert back in case of any issues.

  • Purchasing - A/P Transaction Processing for Services and Non Inventory Item

On of the main areas of concern that businesses have is in the area of Purchasing, Goods Receipts and AP Invoices Processing - There is a requirement that businesses have widely referred to as 3-way matching.
While SAP Business One has this functionality covered quiet well via the following, there is still some need for enhancements so that the application can correctly reflect the AP Accruals:
    - Purchase Order processing with Approval Process (if configured)
    - Ability to perform Goods Receipts for Services.
    - Matching of AP Invoices to Goods Receipts with AP Invoice Approval Process (if configured)
The above transactions serve the 3-way matching quiet well for all purchases however when it comes to accuring for Services that have been provided, the application does not do this. The Goods Receipt transaction processing to acknowledge the service delivery is allowed however the related posting to the allocation account is missing.
The process that is followed by the application is same for Items that have not Inventory Items in Item Master.
As a result of the above, the business have to manually work out what the Accurals for services provided but not invoiced should be.
With little enhancement to the product this shortfall could very easily be overcome.

    Hi,
Once there are transactions, we cannot make existing Inventory type item to Non Inventory type item.
Check SAP note:937297 which states as follows :
    Symptom
Changing the status of the Inventory Item checkbox (in Item Master Data) for items with inventory transactions and documents, might lead to inaccuracies in the calculations of inventory value.
    Other terms
Inventory Item, Non-inventory Item, Item Master Data, Continuous Stock, Perpetual Inventory, Inventory Valuation, 2004, 2005, 2005 A SP01
    Reason and Prerequisites
    Consulting Note
    Solution
The status of an item (Inventory Item/Non-Inventory item as selected in the Inventory Item checkbox in the Item Master Data window), cannot be changed once an A/P, A/R, or Inventory document is posted for the item.

  • GR/IR Clearing for Non-Inventory Items in PO

    Hi all,
Can anybody explain if GR/IR reconciliation can be done for non-inventory items in PO. For example, I've raised a PO for a service and received invoice before the service is delivered (little hypothetical, of course, but incase).
If so, will it show in the same MR11?
    Thanks
    durga.

    Hi,
First of all , in case of Service ,Only SR/IR reconcilation can be done.....second ,if your service is not delivered then you can give advance against service PO.
