Non-componded key in WAD

Question

Dear Friends,
We are using BI7.00 and netweaver 2004S. We have created some finance report in WAD (Web application designer). In one of our report, we face problem which is that we have company, plant, fiscal year, fiscal year/period. There is no selection screen, when the report is executed, users can select the company and the plants respectivley to view the data.
The problem is with the fiscal year. When the fiscal year (defined as drop down box) is selected, we find the characters as shown below.
V3 002 2004 -> for period 002 and year 2004, V3 is the fiscayear variant.  This is very annoying for our top management people who are only familiar with the regular month and year for example May 2004.
I tried various options like defining only the key for that character in bex reporting, but nothing has yielded result.
What we want is  in the year, if i select 2004 then in the month column, the pop down should show jan,feb,mar,apr,may.......
Experts help and guidance required to achieve my requirement.

Hi.
Actually Ravish Singh already has answered to first question.
1. Make a Custom Characterstics like ZFICSYEAR
2. Put ZFICSYEAR in the Infoprovider.
3. In the transformations populate ZFICSYEAR from 0FISCYEAR characterstics.
4. Modify ur query to include ZFICSYEAR in place of 0FISCYEAR.
If you'll follow as described above, you don't need to use replacement path variables because your month will be already not compounded.
