NON-CONTRACT PHONES THAT WILL WORK IN THE PHILIPPINES

My fiancee lives in the Philippines and her old phone just died. I'm looking to purchase either a new or refurbished non-contract phone that can be used in the Philippines. I would like to get one with gadgets similar to her old phone;3.2 MEGA PIXELS CAM AND YOU CAN SURF YAHOO AND CHECK MAILS. Hopefully, someone has an idea of the kind of non-contract phone that meets these requirements.

Hello Ramji,
As you mentioned, EXE is created by you and its ruou nning fine on the PC where you have created it as LabVIEW is present there.
So for non- LV PC, Kindly create a Installer and add additional software/installer required by your EXE.
Look at the link for reference.

  • Any Skype Video that will work with the A1 ?

Is there a version of Skype Video that will work with the A1 ?
Moderator Note: Edited subject to match content.

Skype works wonderfully on the HTC Thunderbolt. The Tegra single core is just fine. It's not the chip, it's this device. As I've written as well, playback of any video is poor and any HD video is unwatchable. The phone plays HD video reasonably smoothly.
The Skype issue is the same - the app sees that it is video capable but cannot find the front facing camera (or any camera for that matter.) I'm surprised to find that video functions on this device don't work very well. Hopefully the company will be behind supporting this device. I'm surprised that it has Gingerbread only but you can't expect them to dump these out without having made sure they worked properly just for simple things that have worked properly on comparable devices.

  • I'm a Dropbox user and I migrate between my iMac and a Toshiba notebook.  Is there Apple software that will work on the notebook allowing me to open Pages, Numbers or Keynote documents that I've placed in Dropbox?

I'm a Dropbox user and I migrate between my iMac and a Toshiba notebook.  Anyone know if there is Apple software that will work on the Toshiba that will allow me to open Pages, Numbers or Keynote documents when I access them in Dropbox?
Maybe I should just always export from Pages into Word  (and likewise for the other types) before I upload to Dropbox?  I hope not!!

If you don't want to export files and consider the Microsoft formats to be your basic working format, then you need to consider either using MsOffice for Mac or LibreOffice instead of the iWork suite.
You could always run a virtualised OSX on the Toshiba, but I don't think Apple will appreciate me telling you how to do that.

I get no wireless signal inside my home, only outside, so I need a network extender that will work for the Lumia 2520, Specs indicate it uses LTE FDD netork Band 20 (800MHz), Band 3 (1800MHz), Band 7 (2600 MHz).  Does Verizon offer a network extender that will work with the Lumia 2520?

We want to make sure you get service in your home Astromandata! I can check your area to see if you qualify for the network extender. What's your zip code? If it does qualify than you will be able to use it for your Lumia to support your voice services. Find out more information here: http://spr.ly/6585fNlt Is anyone else having this issue?

  • Is there an HDR plug in that will work with the 64 bit version of PSE 13?

Is there an HDR plug in that will work with the 64 bit version of PSE 13?  I was hoping that NIK HDR Pro2 would work since Elements 13 is now 64 bit, but unfortunately, that is not the case.

The internal speakers work fine when I boot in Windows, but they don't appear as an option in the System Preferences Output selection when in OS X. Does anyone know what command I could use to tell it to use the internal speakers instead?
Ideally it would be great if I could then just click between output options in System Preferences, but any solution at all would be greatly appreciated.
I am not sure if this will help, but if you haven't already checked the settings in the Audio MIDI Setup utility, try 'em out. Most people don't know that utility exists, but it has additional audio routing/muting options that are not in Sound system preferences.

what version of ipad 4g shoud i buy here in the US that can work in the philippines local data provider? at&t or verizon? any idea anyone?

Ah, I see, ask your provider what type of cell service they use the following outlines what the two iPads offer.
    Model for AT&T: 4G LTE (700, 2100 MHz)3; UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
    Model for Verizon: 4G LTE (700 MHz)3; CDMA EV-DO Rev. A (800, 1900 MHz); UMTS/HSPA/HSPA+/DC-HSDPA (850, 900, 1900, 2100 MHz); GSM/EDGE (850, 900, 1800, 1900 MHz)
Also ensure you don't buy a carrier locked/subsidized iPad.  Buy it free and clear without a contract so you can use it on your terms.
I know a lot of internal providers have pay as you go data SIMs and you can basically swap these out as you travel between different countries.

  • Is there ANY wireless mouse that will work with the iPad 2 and Apple's Wireless Keyboard?

I have the iPad 2 and Apple's Wireless Keyboard and would like to purchase a wireless mouse that will accommodate my Apple products. I do understand that Apple's Magic Mouse is not compatible with the iPad 2, but would like to hear if there is any possibility that i could use a wireless mouse with my iPad.
      Thanks :)

You don't have to purchase a mouse. You already have one, it's wireless and the only one that will work on an iPad.

  • Is there a stylus that will work with the iq500?

I have an iq500 and i need a stylus to do more precise selections while working with adobe photoshop.  i purchased a cheap aluminum stylus with a narrow plastic tip and it has trouble being sensed by the screen.  it would disconnect often while im draging and will not sense at all at the bottom of the screen.  it works better if i tilt at an angle for a larger surface area but its very inconvenient.
has anyone found a stylus that will work?
do stylus with buttons work with this?
Should i just get a fatter stylus, or does it have to be a special one, like a magnetic stylus?
    Thanks!

Don't use a magnet! You should never put a magnet up to a screen.
You can use almost anything as a stylus because of the way the HP TouchScreen technology works - it uses cameras instead of circuits.
You finger works pretty darn good, but I sometimes like to use the eraser end of new pencil because it keeps the fingerprints down.

  • Convert Windows Media Player to something that will work on the IPOD

I just bought my I-Pod today, and I don't know what type of video will play on it. I was trying to upload some window media player files, but no luck. How do I get my Windows Media Player files to work on my I-Pod. Oh, yes, my computer is a Mac. I'm on OS X 3-9.
    Thank you for your help!

Hi All, Thanks so much for responding to my question...not a powerpoint -- so forget that.  I have tried all of your suggestions.  First, the h264 route:  creates a file that is something on the order of 3X the size of the .mov (which was too big to begin with). Took forever -- became such a size that I couldn't get it onto a flash drive (11gb became 30+gb).
Now, if necessary, I'll take my machine to theirs and make a transfer via ethernet -- but that doesn't account for backup copies....
Second, I made an MPEG2 version and stored it on DVDs.  They would not play on the PC either. This is the way I have delivered to non-broadcast clients for years and has always worked.   I use the DVD MPEG2 Best  Quality 90 minutes and AAC audio settings.
I looked at the flip4mac site and of course, the version I need is the most expensive.  There must be some alternative to spending $180 to convert these files.
Again I thank you for your suggestions and taking the time to respond to my query.

  • A new HD TV, that will work in the building I live in

I live in a tower structure apt building, on the 6th floor facing south. No dishes are allowed, there's no place to put em
and it's in the lease. So, all I can get is Comcast cable, for TV. I could use rabbit ears, but I don't think that will give me
very good reception. My question is will a new HD TV, pick up a  good signal, even without an antenna , or a simple
anntenna that I would buy, small enough to fit in my apt, like rabbit ears?
The claim is made they have one built in. How well would this work in a building made  with steel reinforced of concrete walls.
Also, do I need 720, or do I need to spend the extra to get 1080. Football is much better in HD. But, other programming
is really not that much if any better, in my view. Than the old analog type of TV.

Please see below from the FCC website:
In 1996, the Federal Communications Commission (FCC) adopted rules for Over-the-Air-Reception Devices (“OTARD” rules). The OTARD rules prohibit restrictions on a property owner or tenant’s right to install, maintain or use an antenna to receive video programming from direct broadcast satellites (DBS), broadband radio services (formerly referred to as multichannel multipoint distribution services or MMDS) and television broadcast stations (TVBS). However, there are exceptions to the OTARD rules, including provisions for safety and preservation of historic areas.
The FCC later amended the OTARD rules to apply to rental property where the renter has exclusive use of an area, and to customer-end antennas that receive and transmit fixed wireless signals.
What Types of Antennas Are Covered Under the OTARD Rules?
The following antennas or dishes are covered by these rules:
A "dish" antenna one meter (39.37 inches) or less in diameter (or any size dish if located in Alaska), designed to receive direct broadcast satellite service, including direct-to-home satellite service, or to receive or transmit fixed wireless signals via satellite.
An antenna that is one meter or less in diameter and is designed to receive video programming services via broadband radio service (wireless cable), or to receive or transmit fixed wireless signals other than via satellite.
An antenna that is designed to receive local television broadcast signals.
Antennas used for AM/FM radio, amateur (“ham”) radio, CB radio, Digital Audio Radio Services (“DARS”), or antennas used as part of a hub to relay signals among multiple locations are not covered by these rules.
What Types of Properties Are Covered?
Under the OTARD rules, an owner or a tenant has the right to install an antenna (that meets size limitations) on property that he owns or over which he has exclusive use or control. This includes single family homes, condominiums, cooperatives, townhomes and manufactured homes. In the case of condominiums, cooperatives and rental properties, the rules apply to “exclusive use” areas, like terraces, balconies or patios. “Exclusive use” refers to an area of the property that only the renter and people allowed by the renter may enter and use. If the area is shared with others or accessible without the

  • Is there such a modle of iPhone 4S, that will work for the following?

I have read a couple discussions here, yet 99% of them are talking about using Verizon / Sprint's iPhone 4S on AT&T, or another way.  I'm not finding an answer of my simple question, that is, I want to get an iPhone 4S, which works for CDMA (if not both, at least Verizon), AT&T, T-Mobile, and GSM outside the US.
What would be the right way to get one?  I ran into problem because I know:
    - An iP4S obtinaed from CDMA (Verizon / Sprint) could be SIM unlocked but only works for GSM carrier outside the US. WIll not work for AT&T or T-Mobile.
    - An iP4S purchased contract-free will work for AT&T, T-Mobile, and GSM outside the US, but not CDMA.
    - An iP4S obtinaed from AT&T, works in AT&T only, the SIM and CDMA cannot be unlocked.

Thanks for you all above to clarify my question.  One last question here.
Taking GSM out of the discussion, can a Verizon iPhone 4S be used in Sprint?  Or if I switch from Verizon to Sprint, I simply have to sell my Verizon iPhone 4S and buy another 4S under Sprint, even they are mechanically identical and the only difference is how software profile is applied?

  • Are you going to bring out a Firefox that will work on the Logictech Renue Android TV?

I have the Logictech Renue Device which runs Android 3 operating system for my entertainment center. I would love if someone could tell me how to get Firefox working on this device?

If your device allows it, you could try downloading Firefox using the FTP server link on this page: https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android
We haven't tested Firefox on Android TV devices. It's designed to work on touch-screen phones and tablets, but we can try to see if it will work on TVs with a little tweaking.

My printer died and I need a printer that is compatable with OS 9.1/9.2.  Some printers say they are compatible with OS 9.1/9.2 but do they need a driver or is it included with the install disk that comes with the printer?

As long as the printer is accurately described as being compatible with OS 9.1/9.2, if it needs to have software (such as drivers) installed that software should either be included (usual) or downloadable from the net(usually from the manufacyrer's website).
Not all non-Apple printers need drivers installed. Some, such as many Postscript ones that connect via ethernet, are quite comfortable using the LaserWriter 8 printware that's part of OS 9. Some of those, though, may need to have a model-specific PPD (Postscript Printer Description) installed, a small document that informs the printware of the capabilities of the printer.
