Non détection modules cRIO

Bonjour.
J'ai en ma possession un cRIO-9074, avec les modules 9401, 9871, 9403, 9402 9467 et 9802.
Le problème est que je n'arrive pas à voir ces modules dans MAX. Il y a bien détection du cRIO et du module 9871, mais pas des autre modules ! En tentant de bouger de place les modules, cela ne change rien... Je ne comprend vraiment pas pourquoi un des modules serait visible et pas les autres...
Quelqu'un aurait une explication à mon problème ?

Bonjour,
C'est tout à fait normal de ne pas voir les modules de la série dans MAX.
En fait, pour le 9871, vous ne voyez pas vraiment le module mais les ports séries du module qui sont listés dans MAX.
Pour voir les modules, il vous faut créer votre projet LabVIEW, ajouter la cible CompactRIO et la les modules apparaîtront.

Mixing ECC and NECC (Non-ECC) RAM Modules

Hi,
I have a G5 Dual Core 2.0 with a pair of 512Mb Non-ECC (NECC) RAM installed and I want to upgrade to 3Gb. I'm thinking of getting 2Gb ECC modules and discarding the 1Mb NECC installed. But I came across a phrase in the Apple Manual of my G5 that states "DO NOT MIX ECC and NON-ECC Memory Modules WITHIN A PAIR." Does that mean I can mix ECC and NECC within Memory Banks and NOT within a PAIR? Because in that case I won't have to discard my NECC 1Gb and have a mixed 3Gb Memory!? I'm afraid to actually try it so I would appreciate your insights. Thanks much.

Yes. You can mix ECC and nonECC as long as you don't pair the ECC with the nonECC. The computer will just treat all RAM as nonECC.
You can keep the original memory as long as the two 512MB DIMMs are always paired with each other.

Error in Custom "Non Po Invoices" module

Hi All,
I did migrate the oracle 11i custom “Non Po Invoices” module into R12. I’m able to run the “Create Non Po invoice page” without any error, but when I try to submit the invoice, I’m getting error like
“Invoice Number - Set method for attribute \"InvoiceNum\" in NonPoInvAM.NonPoInvHdrCreateVO1 could not be resolved”.
I tried some option which one I know. But I’m not able to fix it. Could you pls help me on this?

Try generating rowimpl class again and also chcek that the corresponding attribute is there in the table in DB.

Will a Presario V5120NR accept ECC (vs non-ecc) memory modules?

I cannot find anything down to that that particular level in the specs on the HP website for this particular model. I know it is DDR PC2700 333, but that is a much as I can find/glean. The original memory modules currently installed in the machine (2 256mb) don't indicate either on their stickers.

How to start TestStand ApplicationMgr in a NON-GUI C# modules

hello all,
We used to implement our test UI in C# windows form. We put ApplicationMgr ActiveX control on the form and the ApplicationMgr can be easily accessed and started.
Now we need to implement the UI in WPF and we have to seperate the UI and the Test Engine into different module so that the UI can call different type of Test Engines later. Therefore we have to implement the TestStand TestEngine module in a NON-GUI module. In this module we need to load a sequence file, run the sequnece file, collect test results and send back to UI to display.
To implement this module we have a lot of questions:
1. Is ApplicationMgr a must-have for our purpose of loading, running sequence and getting test results?
2. Can AppliactionMgr be created in a NON-GUI module?
3. Can we use
NationalInstruments.TestStand.Interop.UI.Applicati
onMgr myApplicationMgr = new NationalInstruments.TestStand.Interop.UI.ApplicationMgr();
myApplicationMgr.Start()
to create and start the ApplicationMgr? We have tried, but unfortunately it is not working. What did we miss?
4. Is the ActiveX control the only way to access the ApplicationMgr? For NON-GUI module, there must be a way that we didn't find yet. Anyone have help us point to a right direction? If some example code would be great!

The ApplicationMgr makes a lot of things simpler, so I highly recommend you use it even if you aren't displaying a UI with it. You can create the control on a hidden form as follows (assuming your thread is an STA thread):

hiddenForm.Controls.Add(appMgr);
((System.ComponentModel.ISupportInitialize)(appMgr)).EndInit();
This way you can use the ApplicationMgr without showing anything to the user.

Pas de détection module PXI dans MAX

J'utilise un chassis PXI-1033 dans lequel j'ai installé deux modules PXI : le PXI-6682H de chez NI, et le PXI-9816 de chez ADLINK. Mon PC sous Windows 7 Pro 64 bits est connecté au chassis par l'intermédiaire d'une ExpressCard. Dans le programme MAX le module 6682H est détecté automatiquement et apparait bien dans la liste au slot N°2. Par contre le module 9816 n'apparait pas.
Quelles opérations doivent être effectuée pour "forcer" la détection ?

Bonjour, avez vous installé le driver fourni avec votre PXI-9816 de chez ADLINK? Si c'est le cas, contacté NI pour savoir si le chassis PXI-1033 accepte la carte de chez ADLINK. Il est possible que le chassis n'accepte que du matériel NI.

Believe it or not, anything on the Desktop uses 3 times the Resources of the Mac than if stored elsewhere, I can note a slowdown from just 30 items on the Desktop on a really fast Mac, so the less the better on the Desktop.

After installing, reboot holding down CMD+s, (+s), then when the DOS like prompt shows, type in...
applejack AUTO
Then let it do all 6 of it's things.
At least it'll eliminate some questions if it doesn't fix it.
The 6 things it does are...
Correct any Disk problems.
Repair Permissions.
Clear out Cache Files.
Repair/check several plist files.
Dump the VM files for a fresh start.
Trash old Log files.
First reboot will be slower, sometimes 2 or 3 restarts will be required for full benefit... my guess is files relying upon other files relying upon other files! :-)
Disconnect the USB cable from any Uninterruptible Power Supply so the system doesn't shut down in the middle of the process.

Tx 1000 non-HP WiFi modules

Own old HP tx 1000 laptop. My main aim for now to install another WIFI module instead Broadcom BCM 4311.
The reason it's not good supported on PC-BSD (FreeBSD derivative).
Tried to put Intel 5100 miniPCI WiFI card, then started laptop and in BIOS stage system halted with message -
"Unsuported Wireless device detected, remove it and shutdown PC."
I plan to put some Atheros card in it which is known to work well, but unsure if it realy possible.

4311 is 802.11 A/B/G

Non Business Function Modules

What is the preferred way to create modules which are not based upon business functions, for example, look-up table maintenance screens? Do you create a separate process model just for your maintenance processes and work everything through like you do for the business processes?

MAX will not display any installed modules mounted to cRIO-9074 chassis WinXP SP3 LV2010 Developer Suite.
I can see the backplane in MAX and Project explorer but none of the modules show up for configuration in the drop down lists. The LV was just installed on the PC with RT/FPGA/Sound and Vibration. I have Admin and am accessing through a PCMCIA Ethernet card. I have to disable normal wireless Ethernet just to see the cRIO unit at all.

Well, you actually won't be able to see the C-series modules for a cRIO in MAX. Take a look at this KnowledgeBase article for a little more information.
As far as not being able to see them in the Project explorer, are you trying to run in FPGA or Scan Interface? If you're using the FPGA Interface, you'll have to make sure to expand the FPGA Target tree in the Project explorer to see these modules.

How do I use Cisco MARS to monitor two ASA (active/stby) with IPS modules?

The two ASA with IPS modules are in active/standby mode. When I try to add both the two IP (active/standby) into the MARS, the MARS will complain duplicated hostnames.

Hi,
The fundamental problem with this scenario is that you have non-failover capable modules in a failover chassis - think of the ASA failover pair as one device and the IPS modules as two completely separate devices.
Then, as already mentioned, add only the primary ASA. (The secondary will never be passing traffic in standby mode so it's not actually needed in MARS) Then, with the first IPS module you can add it as a module of the ASA or as a standalone device (MARS doesn't care). With the second IPS module the only option is to add it as a separate device anyway.
In a failover scenario the ASA's swap IP's but the IPS's don't so whereas you'll only ever get messages from the active ASA you'll get messages from both IPS IP's depending on which one happens to be in the active ASA at the time.
Don't forget that you have to manually replicate all IPS configuration every time you make a change.

Hi Ganesh,
I believe you are using a non IDOC function module, that's the reason you are getting that error.
Use the appropriate IDOC function module and then select the Debug check box and it will stop.
If you can provide me the IDOC message then I can help you by giving the correct Function Module.

Problem with Creation of Source module for MS Access

I am having a problem in creating a source module connected with an "MS Access" file in OWB 9i using the heterogeneous services. I have created a DSN to an access file (.mdb) and created the HS in Oracle (modified the tsnames.ora and listener.ora files with required details). Created a Database link using this service and it's working fine in SQL PLUS, but I am unable to create a Source module in OWB 9i using this db link, since OWB 9i need a schema name for db link. In MS access it's not possible to have a schema.
Please help me in solving the above issue.

What version of OWB and Oracle database are you using? If it is an OWB version 9.0.4 or higher, I presume you are trying to create a non Oracle source module under the Oracle Database node - is this the case? If yes, you should not do that, but create your MS Access module under Databases->Other->Other node (as I understand you are not using ODBC). Let me know if my assumptions are correct.

Problem in the creation of rfc function module

I am creating one rfc function module comparing to standard non-rfc function module. In that one i have one export parameter with the standard strcture type. but this stcture component contains with strcture type. among all these components four fields are common. but when i am trying to activate function module it is giving message you cannot use internal tables, strings,references, or strctures as components. that function module name is BAL_FILTER_CREATE and that export parameter name is that export parameter name is E_S_LOG_FILTER that associated type is BAL_S_LFIL. how can i solve the problem. pls give me solution as soon as possible.

for rfc fm's u should enable the call by value check box which will appear on that of import and export parameters. tick that one for each parameter in rfc and activate.
